LOL@passportka lugaynaya. JB mid ma ku soo dirnaa? Some of the xarifs who were qaaqliyaal and unemployed at that time, had a boon every time one of these cougers came. They were mostly from Italia and Canada, I never saw Americans and British that much. (Take that Ashton Kutchner,Hassan Shibis beat you to the couger hunt in 91). parasites, those poor women probably spent all their savings from their backbreaking work. LOL, wonder how shibis is now. Interesting views. I am sure in all guur, there is an element of danta aan isku gaarno..for the longterm. I mean they both went into the marriage to gain something, they should should stick around for the long run,esp when kids are involved. What amazes me is the audacity of some of these men, i mean ok you got a passport and the marriage ain’t what you want it to be but how about offering miskiimiinta, compensation. Inta ayuuto these women go in for these nimanku sheeg.and dibka ay ka maraan for the house/furniture or what not is beyond belief and who suffers in the process, the poor kids. Afro, I know this is not exclusive to single mothers only. But they are mostly the ones taking the risk. It’s just too many problems, I do not know why people go to such lengths. Ilaahay ima guurin nin Africa ama meelkale joogo, esp reer Bari… maba is fahmi leheen.

LOL@Ibti.You don't support Ceebla getting her groove back Ceebla was looking for love companionship. And she isn't that old it's just women doing what the odayaasha have been doing for yonks;claiming to have married a 17 year old
  12. ^Amiin. Finally, remember that the Messenger (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) will complain to Allah on the Day of Judgment that his people neglected the Qur'an (Surah al-Furqan 25:30). Neglect of the Qur'an is of different levels, as Ibn al-Qayyim writes: not reciting or listening to it; not studying and understanding it; not conveying its message; not judging by it in personal and communal matters, at all levels of society; not believing in it. All Praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. And how easy it is to fall into all of the above.
  13. Is my eyes playing tricks on me or was this topic posted years ago? Just reading it made me think i read these comments b4 but it say 6/8/08. I don't know what mine represents...can't see anyones avatars ,i chose not to view them.
  14. The somali men have been doing it for while, coming to Somalia / qaxootiyaash where their US dollar and passport has been doing most of the talking. And in no time return to their host country with a beautiful wife. Now think about what happened to those poor buggers without that passport, when every-girl in the neighbourhood uu damco are lining up to marry a 'wealthy' man from the diaspora who can buy them all the gold in the world and bring them a better life....Well ilaahay baa diraashad uu furay. I don't know about you but where I am (in a mudul)somewhere in the so called western world, there is this trend of somali women going to Africa/India to get married. These women are mostly divorced with five or more children. And I am not one that disapproves of a halal marriage. Actually Im usually cheering them on especially when i heard that "Islaanti Ceebla ilko intey soo gashatey beyn wiil mutacalim ah africa ka soo guursatey" But the endings of these marriages is too common, has made me put away my cheerleading outfit. Marka la soo dhoofiyo, Sheikh ama shariifkoodaba ,nimankii intaan bey u kala baxaan. 1.One that is sincere about the guur laakiin sidii bud camal "war anaa ku keenay" loola dhacaayey buu is dhajiyaa until the two year period of permanent residency. And then hits divorce highway and never looks back. or 2.Mid jeanis kiisa horee iskugu soo taagey ama malin/heeben ku taagan, that doesn't take any role of raising the kids or providing the needs of his wife and kistuu soo shaqeysto jebka ku shubto. And only sticks around to secure his sharci. I can't remember the last time that a somali man went back home to get married and when he arrived his wife decided to ditch him.I think i can only recall one case, and everyone felt so bad for him that every mother/Father were ready to offer their daughter in marriage. So nomads have you noticed a similar trend in your community? And why do think that this type guur,Dan ku gaar as i like to call it ,doesn't work. But it works fine for the men. Are women too loyal?
  15. IBti...How dare he? what does the china men know about beautiful Burco. Zu...Wein min ? oo reerahe dago?
  16. ^Reer Aakhiraad baan kugu darney. ZU,state your Tuulo and we shall decide if it's better than Ibti's.
  17. ^LOL.ONYA Ibti, is it work related or for pleasure.
  18. ^Hello Ibti n Zu....wat up.
  19. What lovely lady. Yeah, the environment does have a major impact.Waligaa cunug reerod ma isku deyday inaad ka bajisid with ul? they don't even blink and markaad ku tijaabisid they like 'that didn't hurt' all these kids oo waligood yac la'iraahin baa naga buuxo because somali parents since coming to meelahaan wadnaha beey farta ku haayaa .they believe if you try to adbin your children they going to call the police ..so they don't bother.War yaa usheego caruurta sa fiican ha loo edbiyo hadii kale child neglect weeye..ama a case of mis-diagnosed 'Autism'.
  20. LOL MMA ,the story about the kid reminded me of this clip The difference is ,when you were growing up as kid in somalia, everyone was taking part in the edbin , you do something wrong and you got spanked by a strangers in the street and they would probably tell you to go home ,if you were hanging out or being troublesom.marka it takes a whole village to raise a child, now you come to the west and you live in a village were other kids swear at their parents and thats consider normal and they look at you like you're some kind of alien if try to discipline your children by giving them a light beating.
  21. ^ Runtaan kugu jeclahay ...yeyna ku dhaafin gabadha . WOW SOL is buzzy with personal questions, wonder why? 'DO you love your husband and do have the same love ' baaba la'iskugu faanayaa not in the same league i guess. * puts away the dirac she was ready to show off *
  22. Good read, thanks for the clarification Mahad I never knew somali nicknames could be misleading, til i met a person with 3-4 nicknames as his abtiris . I can't remember it but it was a description about his nose ,something about footsteps etc odd, only the dude was nothing like the nicknames but was happy to be know as that.
  23. ^LOL blessed reality check ay? But i think what the poster meant is ,the father seeing a suitable boy or the suitable boy asking if he can marry you thus father says ...sure u seem decent..done and then you feel pressure to accept,as you dont want to be 'caasi'-ish ' No matter how good-hearted fathers are ,at the end of the day they are men and they look at different things when judging the suitability of a 'man' ...so a simple no thanks Aabo macaan has worked well for me.
  24. ^LOL , I wouldnt bet my money on that.
