  1. Chocolate wrap? Isn't that, like, asking for trouble? If you are anything like me, you'll probably do yourself damage whilst trying to discretely have a taste. Safe journey, I'A.
  2. Faynuus, I hope you and your sister can overcome this difficult period, I'A. I wish you all the best.

Hi Sayid, how are you? I'm very well, A'H. No longer in lovelorn. Although I reside there, I've never worked south of the river- for some reason I always commute to the north. Not tempted by Lambeth, I'm afraid..even though they pay well (probably for a reason, ey?). Sheh, I'm always job-hunting. It's a compulsion.
  4. I go on Jobsgopublic daily. Best for local govt posts. Oneworld, Eldis and Bond are all good for international dev/NGO jobs. And finally, Reed is great for temping.
  5. Happy birthday, KK. Many blessed returns I'A.

Ha ha...funny piece. He's got a point though, globalisation is a double-edged sword. Sooner or later the West will lose the 'dominant financial markets' mantle.
  7. From the title I thought this might be an interesting thread. I thought we might get some insight into the monochrome, colour-blind world of the male psyche. But there's no danger of that, is there?
  8. Sounds interesting. All the particle and astro physicists are probably foaming at the mouth. I hope the world ends tomorrow, then I wouldn't have to go back to work on Thursday.
  9. A belated happy birthday, Cadaan! Did I miss the celebrations? Can I have some left over cake please?
  10. ^ It's going by too fast for me! Johnny, I like your enthusiasm! The cinema trip was courtesy of my little cousin (Kids cinema is always at an awful hour). So, what's this about Aussie gifts? Has someone been intercepting my mail? 'Coz I haven't received anything!
  11. Afternoon all. Torturous Friday...I was at the cinema 9.30am this morning, watching Meet Dave (Eddie Murphy is uuc). Johnny dude!
  12. Cara, isn't it strange when they do that? It makes you wonder how they carry out their calculations. My hooyo has dips on half my monthly salary every month and she's not going anywhere. How I love her, Ilaahay ha ii daayo. Enjoy the rest of your evening, folks.
  13. Hardly. I just never get rid of old ones.
  14. What exactly is 'Rosetta Stone'?
  15. LoL @ I have good hair. What, Canadians don't miyaa? That's news to me! Cara, teaching as well? Poor you! Che, it's the British way, I'm afraid. In any case, I'm linguistically challenged...can't hold more than two languages at a time.
  16. On both sides, Che. Laakin, salaamu calaykum iyo bileedh bariis ah isuma dhaafno.
  17. Subtitles, Che. Maxaa hindi i baray?
  18. Hello Cara. Tied to the lab still? No insomnia here, I'm taking a break from a Hindi-film marathon. I'm still off work until next week, I'A. Loving the late nights and sleep-ins. Sheh, what do you usually do to unwind?
  19. Fast-fingered folk. Sheh, true that wouldn't do much for your rep.
  20. We love scandal, don't we? Roll on the next *gasp*-worthy story already.

Only my strengths lie in elaborate Thai/far-eastern dishes and my dad looks at the table and asks: "Bariiskii iyo hilibkii meeye?"
  22. ^ They say nin (ama qof) kuu digay kuma dilin. Faheema, Mnpls was interesting. I liked the people, conservative but friendly. Got sucked into some dramas but can't go into it without invading other people's privacy. What was your experience of the place, adigu?
