  1. Cute kids. The Canadian in the background sounds like a complete fool.
  2. Aaliyah, considering Eastern women have been colouring their hair with henna and the like for centuries, I doubt colouring your hair is haraam. Some people just like the sound of that word, I think. Originally posted by Ducaysane: speaking of sexual immorality, I have a weird friend (from Somali galbeed,) who believes coloring women's hair is calaamaatu sharmmuuto. Sarwaal haday qabtana war keedaba daa. subxanalaah D, caqli-xumada waa lagu yaqaanaa nimanka soomalida qaarkood.
  3. Well, CG, we are glad they didn't decide to keep you!
  4. Jacaylbaro waa imtixaan! Happy birthday to Nuune and Farancab. Nabad iyo caafimaad Ilaahay ha idinku gaadhsiiyo sanadka kale. Amin.
  5. Girls, ASOS stocks a really good selection of beautiful, although sometimes expensive, Maxi dresses. Might be worth checking them out, especially for cheap beach dresses. See below. Chilli Pepper Maxi Short Sleeve Dress £17.75 Yumi Boutique Printed Tier Hem Maxi Dress £55.25 Milly Moy Waterflower Print Silk Chiffon Maxi £320.00 Jaeger Poppy Print Silk Tiered Maxi Dress + Slip £500.00 I really like the last dress but I wouldn't spend that sort of money on anything but a plane ticket!!
  6. Hey Pucca. I think temperature fluctuations are normal just before and during menstruation. It's apparently down to low levels of oestrogen.
  7. ^ LoL....make their lives easier and they might leave you alone, huh? CG, welcome back. Were you sporting an overgrown beard & cimaamad or something?
  8. ^ Amitabh Bachchan? Google is a wonderful tool. Haye, NG, maxaa iskudhacaya?
  9. Ah, I would but this is Marx's thread. Don't want to take the limelight away. OK, Marx, I have another question if you're still game: What was your most memorable moment of 2008?
  10. Hi Gheelle. That's right. The sad thing is most of the prevalent childhood diseases are easy to vaccinate against.
  11. ^ Amiin. My condolences, Ibti. I know how hard it is to lose family members. Ilaahay ha u naxariisto inta naga wada maqan.
  12. ^ Well, you've outdone yourself with my answer. Just round the 9.6 up to 10.
  13. ^ Runtu waa relative, ma maqashay? Somalis have a pretty high birth rate already.
  14. I really think it's the thought that counts if it's a general gift. But it's a different matter if it's an expected gift (for a special occasion)from someone you really care about. I think it's better to receive nothing than a shitty gift in such a case.
  15. OK, I will bite as well. Marx, how would rate your looks on a scale of 1 to 10? With 10 being the better end of the scale.
  16. ^ Dude, that's too much info. Aw Dhubad - sida KK ayaan anba wax u maqlay. It's good for both hair and skin apparently.
  17. Yeah, sure. Sex is meant to be healthy. Meant to be great in every way. Only problem is getting a regular prescription.
  18. Well, I wouldn't say 33+ is the era of bad health or pension drawing. Maybe you are thinking 63, Marx? Also I don't think you can blame others for the weaknesses of your ideas. If they don't cut the mustard, then...you know. Anyway, as a philosophy student (right?), you should develop thicker skin and stand firm regardless.
  19. Haneefah, Shik Shak Shok indeed. Mesmerising! Blessed, excellent vid. Think I might give it a go. Sheh, stop stop! Walking up the escalator has me clutching my side, am so not ready for hill walking, if I can find any. Little steps, my dear.
  20. Choco, what an unsettling situation. I can only echo those above me and say the behaviour you've described sounds really worrying. 9 out of 10 times, blow ups like that have their roots in something entirely different. Either this guy has been waiting for you to misstep so he can pounce or he has a jealous and possessive streak a mile long. Either way it is BAD NEWS. But this is just guesswork as we don't know him and we can't really judge your relationship. What do your instincts say? And how long have you known him?
  21. Aha. In that case, he better get a move on!
  22. Watched Kings of Leon at the Brits - what a fantastic band. Lead Caleb Followill's voice is like warm honey down your back. Thrilling.
  23. ^ People have different passions. Little strokes fell great oaks, Abdinasir. Keep at it and you'll get it done. What's the rush?
  24. No, that's more a life-affirming and confidence-building trip. I was pointing out the naivety of believing polygamy only works for men. Much like anything else, that sort of thing works for certain type of people and I don't think gender would greatly influence it (were women to be given the opportunity). Me, I accept and am quite happy with my Islamic boundaries (greed doesn't feature that much in my life, other than maybe for shoes) so it's all academic.
