News-kii oo dhan buu afduubey. Wonder who will look after his kids?

Ilaahay ha u naxariisto your friend, BOB. Very sad. Amiin to all the du'as.

Too morbid. Change of topic... Apple crumble, yummy or what? I think am addicted. Does anybody here bake pastries or make other desserts?

There isn't that much sun here, NG. It's you lot who are enjoying a hot summer. Hi Sheh....[edit] Insha'Allah.
-
That's true Lily. NG, full of empathy as usual.

Hi Lily - it's going alright save for severe homesickness. I might come back for Ramadan (it's no good without my dad), I'A.

Hello all... Depends, Malika. Is the stranger in possession of a trusting face?
-
A lot of questions there, NG. Get me a cuppa and some biscuits and I'll tell you all about it. Ah, typical for the weather to improve as soon as I leave. Meeshan waan ku qadhqadhay.

Howdy trolls.... How's London, reer London? Warm enough to sunbathe?

The dirac is strangely addictive. I cut myself off buying them 5 years ago, but the craving is slowly returning.

Rudy lecturing about Somali decency. The irony. Not bad, SS.

LoL @ Cara. There has to be a position available for applications to be taken up! Sheh, with my luck I would probably end up being the diversion.
-
Hey Cara, Trolls... Talking of career changes, I'm afraid one might be foisted on me if I'm not careful. My cousins are already making unsubtle noises about some of the 'eligible' men in the city. Like hell.

P, I can't believe an old hag ayaa kaa guuleysatay. Funny.

Good to know I'm not the only one struggling with all the passwords and pin-codes we have to remember. Waa waali.
-
Aw, that's nice. Does that mean your event went very well?

Buuxo, hardly. Daring would have been trying some fried spiders or cockroaches! I mostly stuck to seafood and vegetable dishes. PS: Val will never transport the green stuff. Not for all the money in the world.

NG - LoL....I watched that show obsessively as well and was so worried that I basically declared everything! But I got through immigration and customs quite easily. Buuxo...nothing exotic, exotic. As in, no wild animals. But I did have a lot of local food...kymer food was the best next to Thai. Vietnamese was the worst in comparison but still very tasty. By the third week I was so fcking tired of fried rice/noodles, I was having nightmares about it. The last week of the trip I completely gave up any pretense and lived on Western food....burgers and chips, pasta, mexican.
