  1. Not sure if these nationalities can be compared - too diverse and each country has their share of the Lookers and the Nots.
  2. This whole cooking thing is overated. Cook if you want to and if your food is edible, hubby will be grateful. Don't cook if you don't want to. There's no khasab. Suu kugu guursaday ayuu kugu haysanayaa. Unless you used to tell tall tales about your delicious food at the shukaansi stage - then you are just a tease.
  3. ^ Agree with that. Day to day living should be covered entirely by hubby. Savings, investments, long-term plans, emergency excursions - these could be what the woman's earnings go towards. Or dahab and diruuc. Whatever works for her.
  4. Morning! What's showing at Hargeisa Cinema, JB? Anyone seen Green Zone with Matt Damon? Is it any good?
  5. Really lovely. Love the African fabrics.

  7. What a funny article. I suppose there's a valid point under all that sass, in terms of not giving up your whole life for your children. But I think motherhood gives back almost as much as it takes away. That is, until your pride and joy enters teenagehood. Surely there must be a balance somewhere.
  8. ^^ You should compensate us for the exposure to the workings of your brain.
  9. Admittedly there seems to be a masochistic feel about the whole business, but I think there's more to it.
  10. Hey juxa. Originally posted by Che -Guevara: Makes sense Val-as kid I have seen jinn party (it was really party) where two ladies started drinking from perfume.Maybe they just needed alcohol. Sounds like a saar-party. Dumarku markey saarka iska tumayaan ayeey timaha lulaan ooy cadarada cabaan. Guess we are still holding onto elements of past paganism. I'm not sure why anyone would volunteer for karbaash. This Somali women/Jinn relationship make me scratch my head.
  11. NG...fridge huh? Must be a food lover. Usually they loiter around toilets. Hi Malika, is it possible those women were lesbians pulling the sheik's leg? Sounds ludicrous. Che - dhareerka iska bi'i oo shaydaanka iska naar.
  12. Yeah, I am quite sceptical of the jinn body snatchers too. And have you noticed it is only ever women who are affected? Afternoon folks. Maxaa idku dhacaya?
  13. Morning All. Ibti, where is this place without phones and Muslims don't get served? Hope you recover quickly.
  14. That's a lovely idea, B. I love it. Just yesterday I was thinking I need to be somewhere brighter, like Italy or Turkey, full of bright-coloured buildings, and rich brightly-coloured foods. My idea: Ice cream should be offered free everywhere. I want to walk down the road and sample as many flavours as possible. Coffee and walnut is my current favourite. Followed by cookies and cream. In fact I can make c&c at home: buy a tub of vanilla ice cream and a packet of milk chocolate cookies, crumble the cookies into the ice cream and voila! Ahem...anyway..sii wada.
  15. Ah, you watch Eastenders. This explains volumes. VOLUMES. I'll tell you the best way to boycott the Beeb. Stop paying your TV licence.

  17. Hi Lily, yes please forward it to me (although the language is killing any interests I develop). Juxa, I only wish it will be hot, I'A. Don't care how hot. I literally want to BAKE this summer. LoL @ unknown season. All four seasons daily, I guess.
  18. Well am glad you like the photos. It was a pleasure to take them, that's for sure. Che, sawiro noocmaad sugaysaa? Geel Jire, Wigad: I use an old Samsung digital cam I bought in 2006. It takes OK images during daylight hours but is useless at night. Never studied photography but always had an interest in it. LoL @ Xiin and 'akhas'. Who knew inaad calool jilic santahay.
  19. ^Lucky you. What's for lunch today then? Might as well update us. Hello ZU. How's pretty Melb? Juxa, I know. I have been browsing online, looking for nice light summery clothing. Was this the longest, coldest, heaviest winter or what?
  20. Did you buy it? Mine is still gathering dust. Must read it one of these days I'A.
