  1. Bilan, perhaps but it so happens the people elected an inept and visionless politician this time. Nevertheless, it is true that fragmentation is a key problem facing the SSC regions but I believe the people have never been more united than they are at present. In regard to Xaabsade and other paid employees of SL, koley anigu waxaan u arkaa in ey ikhtiyaar u leeyihiin cidey u shaqeeyaan. A paid politician in SL doesn't speak for the regions or the people of SSC. The sentiment is clear. SSC has no interest or stake in SL's aspirations. Puntland on the other hand is a different cup of tea, there's no ideological chasm or conflict existing there, just some political difference that will be resolved in good time.
  2. ^ Miyaadan akhrin the part ey leeyihiin waxay qabtay bipolar disorder?
  3. ^ A hostile neighbour will even ask you to keep your chickens away? Urmm...
  4. ^ Sigaar cabis caafimaadkaaguu u xunyahay. Boring translation tho. Che, i would translate that as: Runtii gacalo, dan iyo muraad kama lihi.
  5. Hear hear @ Malika LoL @ Che. How about you then, can we convince you to support the movement?
  6. So much food that doesn't get eaten. What is it with us and bariis la daadiyo? The last meher in my family, we literally had to vacuum bariis off the walls. Guess mar mar gacanta iyo afku wey is waayaan. Still, bariis iyo hilib makhaayad- yum yum. MMA waad ku raaxeysatey meesha. Che, have you visited the refugee camps yet? I wanted to know what state the camps are in.
  7. I didn't know she was half-Somali.
  8. I would have liked to, Malika, only the Easter weekend was too hectic for me. I am gobsmacked by the energy, determination and activities of the supporters of the cause though.
  9. LoL @ the topic title. I too support the SSC movement. I think it's been a long time in coming and is sorely needed by its people. It has great potential to deliver positive change for the regions. But Puntland is a regional Goliath and one of the most viable states in Somalia. Whatever political differences might exist with the current leadership, the SSC movement has a stake in its survival and needs to maintain a relationship with the administration. It's really sad that President Faroole inherited a strong state that had everything going for it and managed to bring it to its knees but I am hopeful that Puntland will recover once he vacates the leadership.
  10. A positive conference, glad to hear there's agreement between the different SSC organisations and groups. The most important thing for the region is attaining unity and any step towards that goal is welcome. Malika, I hope you represented the SSC SOLers well.
  11. I wondered what was so interesting about a tribute to a photographer to take it to 7 pages. Should have guessed some random Somali girl would be getting a cyber lynching. Somalina;714495 wrote: That was pretty intense, but she defended herself well.
  12. Damn, I was under the impression that the last lions in Somalia were killed by the late 1960s. Where did these cubs come from and do they have to be taken to Uganda? I know no facilities to care for them exist in Somalia at the moment but anagaa leh.
  13. Thanks, Nuune. I don't know much about the mentioned provinces. The article says breakaway...but these maamuls are regional and not trying to secede?
  14. LoL...you gotta laugh. Where has Bila-Quban been set up then?

If your seeking a raaliya miid tima jiliic iska so gursoo..Lol, according to someone I know, the wife wont eat until you eat, wont sleep until you sleep , she wont leave the house, unless your with her- and there wont be a phone call from adeerkedaa at 4 am asking for this nor that.. , she is yours and yours alone.. Heard similar things through the horse's mouth as well....only that horse married a 16 year-old girl. Obviously, a man in his late 20s or early 30s can easily dominate an already docile teenager. Despite my attempts not to judge, the whole business (poor people selling their children) seems a bit rancid to me.
  17. Positive news. BOB, are you trying inaad shukaansato Somalina? Coz that was LAME. 'My smile isn't as beautiful as yours' kulahaa. *Snigger*
  18. Howdy Juxa and JB. Si fiican ma loo soo quraacday saaka? If not, I have some waffles in my bag.
  19. Gorgeous city, Garoowe. Well planned, spacious, clean and surprisingly green. Truly a design other Somali cities should attempt to emulate.
  20. Yet Another Town taken by Azanian Military! LooL...Zack, you're funny as hell! For a moment I thought there was an alien attack and a whole town had been abducted.

  22. Do you have a blog yourself, Alpha? And if not, why not start one? You have plenty to say, I'm sure.
  23. These 'lolita' dresses are what little girls used to wear back home I remember. I used to look forward to my dresses from the ages of 6-9, then I discovered jeans and never looked back.
  24. Adam, on this side of the pond, pants = nigis.
