I'm becoming used to getting up at 3am. But I have to agree with those people who can't eat salty or savoury foods at that hour. I can only take sweet and liquidy foods like rice pudding, sareen or porridge. But I did have a nice cup of tea last night for the first time in 3 days. I actually want to quit tea altogether and hope to wean myself off this ramadan Insha'Allah. Juxa, weigh that gold and count your savings dheh. Ha la maqlo dadoow.

First day of Ramadan 2011, Alhamdulilaah! Hope it's going well for all of you. So, who got up for suxuur and who was too lazy and will soon be regretting it? Who's planned a day of leisure and sleep and who's at their desk iyagoo calooshu ololayso? And if you were smart enough to wake up for suxuur, what did you have? I had some oats (qamandi/sareen) at 3am and am holding together OK. Except I miss my morning cuppa. Other than that, it's all fine and dandy. Then again it's not even midday yet.
