  4. ^^LoL^^...NAA go back to sleep! African, Welcome to SOL. Aniga, been a nomad for just over a year and a half....but feels like I've been here forever.
  5. Samurai, Does that mean you are one of us? Or were one of us? Should have guessed... Shayma, Lovelios! I was hoping you'ld be able to come. And about the location...don't kno yet, but probably Oceans...unless someone wants to suggest another place? And yes, SOL is bloody addictive, u wouldn't believe how many times I've tried to give it up. Didn't work.
  6. LoL @ lakkad! I always got "inkaartii dhuusaweyne ha kugu dhacdo"...I have no idea who dhuusaweyne is either.
  7. Mabruuk Lovely You! Guur wacan, guri wanaagsan iyo caruur qurux badan.

  14. No, I don't think attempts to ban female circumcision and infibulation fail to recognise the validity of cultural practices, because as far as I'm concerned, that particular cultural practice doesn't hold any validity or value whatsoever. Many ppl (Somalis, I mean) who were previously ignorant to all the problems and consequences of female circumcision are becoming aware. Insha'Allah, the practice will be eradicated from our society in time...maybe just not in my lifetime.
  15. ^^ U girls are mean! Leave Gediid alone. Haa, wuu foolxun yahay, fakhrina wuu ku noolyahay (I had a chat with his accountant innit ) but he's a good person, and he did go to a lot of effort to get the ingredients for your meal Nefertiti, so give him a chance...he might have other more becoming qualities. U never know! Originally posted by Nefertiti: Four foolproof ways to guarantee that a brother WILL look SEXY in a Macawees: 1) Get a brother who is MEATY. None of that skinny “findiciil” resembling Faraxs. He has to have a nice well toned-trained-developed-body. The full works: EIGHT-pack, nice skin tone, lovely jubbly smile, straight teeth (etc, etc, etc.) 2) Then, make sure his Macawees is SILK, again none of that cheap market material that scrapes your skin off every time it comes in contact with you. Preferable colours have to be red, OR black OR sky blue. This will then compliment with his smooth-caramel-BABY LOTION rubbed skin. 3) Depending on the ladies style, the Macawees can be just below his knees to all the way down. I particularly prefer the knee length style as this gives me the chance to stare at his hunky Calf’s. "Mmmhh, all I can say at this moment is YUMMY!!!!" 4) Lastly, make him yours and yours alone. Ameenah, had the right idea, NO OTHER XALIIMO gets her hands on your new macaawesed-sexy style man! LMAO! Nefer...nicely put, as always. Macawiistu is what separates the men from the boys...
  16. ^yeah^ I agree, that was a lovely story walaalo! Welcome back by the way...I like the new nick.
  17. Bless u Lateafha...thanx for the reminder sis.
  18. That was a very poignant story. Mansha'Allah. Jabarti, may Allah bless your friend and lessen his burden and ours too.
  19. ^^ I would like to participate, really I would, but after a while the repetitive and endless arguments and debates take away my will to live. Plus, lately the threads have taken on a not-very-well-hidden tribalistic format. It is not a form of politics I'm comfortable discussing. It will make me dislike some of the nomads...and I don't want it to come down to that. Having said that, there are some informative and unbiased topics around. Maybe I'll jump in once in a while, I'A.
  20. Hello, how are ya? To make a long story short, our beloved tweety (Ameenah) will be in Toronto and among you guys from nxt week, I'A. We would like to request for you all to show her some of your warm nomad hospitality...hadii kale dagaal baa dhacaya! Introduce her to some of those famous Somali restaurants MMA is always telling us about, take her shopping (your job KK...there will be some baby-lotions in it for you ) and show her some art, culture and mosques...your job Ilhaam. And whatever else your little city has to offer. We are expecting a full report and plenty of pics when she comes back Insha'Allah. Don't let us (and urselves) down. Ta Ta Reer London
  21. Fantastic piece CM...the best I have seen in this forum 4 a long time. Maybe it is about time our brothers (and sisters) started seeing the bigger picture.
  22. Entre, Disturbing. I knew Somalis were having problems in Denmark, but I never realised the extent of the victimisation. Athena, You alright there?
