  1. ^^true. But do you know what I find worse than gossip to control? TV...waa dambi socda and I'm addicted to it! Am gonna have to force myself to stop watching it during Ramadan... Back to the topic... Yes, if I don't watch what I eat, I do gain some weight during Ramadan...because all sorts of special food is cooked on every single day and tis difficult to say no...but then I guess thats what Ramadan is about...practicing self-control.
  2. ^^ LoL....frigging northeners! Unfortunately, I missed that programme.
  3. Salaam Shy... I'm glad things are OK. Good to see you back. All the best... Ramadan Kariim.
  4. "So Mujahid and Muraad you two are fasting two different days even though you both Live in London?" ^^...It is wierd, innit? My dad thought Ramadan would commence today (26th), but the Islamic Council (and everyone else I came across) says its tomorrow. Either way, since lots of ppl are not fasting today, tomorrow will be the beginning of Ramadan for most of the UK, Insha'Allah. On that note....ramadan kariim! I can already smell saambuusaha...yum yum!

In my Opinion you are being cantankerous and bearish yet captious while being insensitvly choleric and crotchety hence being dour, irascible and morose to his right and still become obstinate yet ornery and a peevish, perverse honerable Nomad while not respecting his liberty to be what he desires to be. Please stop being petulant and quarrelsome. to be snappish and sour is not the way to be humble. Thnkx in advance ROTFLMAO!!!! I agree with...erm...with whateva Lakkad said... First Lady... Sorry walaashiis but I don't think you can tell someone how to write. If you don't understand something, ask for clarification, otherwise...move on. Personally, I think Sophist is a charming writer. I only wish my vocabulary was half as refined as his. Have a lovely Ramadan!
  6. Allah ha u wada naxariisto. Insha'Allah, let us remember them, and all other Somalis and Muslims suffering (wherever they may be) in our prayers this blessed month.
  7. Ya Allah! May they find peace in the afterlife. Allah ha u naxariisto.
  8. ^^ Amiin! 14- Ramadan wanaagsan everyone! I guess lots of you fasted today, Mansha'Allah....we'll join u tomorrow Insha'Allah!
  9. So, whether right-wing or left-wing, most of you boys have turned out to be politically authoritarian? Hmmm...fascinating. I'm apparently an extreme-leftist libertarian...closest buddy being Gandhi. Not very surprising since all of my answers were either 'strongly agree' or 'strongly disagree'. It follows that my position would be fairly extreme either way. But Communist? Not in this lifetime. Verdict: Load of bull.

They were probably shot by an armed, bloodthirsty scavenger. Too many id!ots with guns who have nothing else to do other than to terrorise innocent ppl- be they local or foreign. On the other hand...it does sound mighty strange that relatively peaceful and safe areas such as Borama and Sheikh have seen two separate murders of foreigners within one month. Maybe there's something to the claims of a 'plot to destabilise' Somaliland?
  11. It is a depressing state of affairs for Somalis as a whole, but particularly for the women. I think the best thing we can do is to help each other. If a strong [women's] support network exists, it becomes possible and easier for each woman to overcome problems and difficulties with the help and support of the group. I'm glad the SWA is there to offer those much needed training and employment services to the community.
  12. ^^ Oh bless...we have amongst us a more paranoid conspiracy theorist than even I! **Bee waves excitedly at LIQAYE** I agree that as Muslims living in a Non-Muslim country, we should expect a certain amount of abuse, no matter how democratic or fair that country is. To a large extent tho, what determines the degree of abuse is the size and organisational level of the Muslim Community in that country. A well-represented and well-organised Muslim community can keep abuses against Muslims to a minimum, by using whatever tools available to them....which in this case is Human Rights and similar legislations. I think this is the point Ameenah/Lucky are making.

  16. Salaam Nur, 3. How to integrate Quraan into our lives I think this is of particular import...especially 4 ppl like me, who dust off the Quran once every six months. Ramadan Kariim
  17. If it is the wrong person how can the feelings be right for you?
  18. True...^^ However, no-one said American's were the most worldly-educated. Please, these are ppl who thought Kuwait was a petrol station somewhere in the US in the prelude to the first Gulf War.
  19. ^^ Hey...R u alright Zu? Originally posted by Lakkad: About the Dhareer...Its them who are retarded, I just happened to be with THEM while they dhareeraring..lol Oh ok...iskood bey isaga dhareerinayaan miyaa? And it has nothing to do with you? Aight...understood.
  20. Originally posted by Matkey: Dr. Mahathar’s remarks or statements about Jews being dominant in the world will not alleviate our hardship and humiliation. What he said is what almost every Muslim feels, and therefore expressing it openly in front of whole will not change the Muslim conditions. On the contrary, Jews may use these statements as one of their methods to perpetuate their attack on muslim while advancing their dormant ambitions (confiscation of Muslim land through extinction of Muslims people). In my humble opinion we don’t need to get emotional or rejoiced every time some politicians (Muslim or non-Muslims) make such remarks about the Jews I'm going to have to agree with you. It doesn't change much, true...but the encouraging thing is that a Muslim head-of-state has finally spoken openly...too bad he did it at the end of his political career. And too bad other current head-of-states are keeping quiet.
  21. LoL @ ^^ Damn...boys will never learn!
