I suppose they were refering to you when they coined the term 'unproductive employee'?

Some people have weird fetishes. Like having banana/muus with their nightly qaad-chewing session ala Femme. Typical Somali, eh? Juba, LoL, ta. For the record tho, I dont have a fascination with feet. Intuition, My pleasure.

Who would ever guess that adults frequent this black hole? I can't say I envy the mods of this particular forum. Waayeel, Stop whingeing and take your so-called 'activism' somewhere else.

^^ That just shows what you know. It was meant to be a rhetorical question...no answer necessary. Don't hide your curiousity behind me.

^ Ouch!

X LoL...NO THANKS! I can just imagine what that picture might look like. I am curious, what do your boots represent? What do you think they represent? Shy It has nothing to do with your command of the English Language, and you know it. Its the way you like to put things...ie in a very blunt, frequently crude and occasionally shocking way. Not that am a prude or anything like that - it just takes some getting used to.

I would rather own a property in London (a two-bedroom flat in SW6 to be specific ) than anywhere else in the world- inc Somalia, but its just a dream for the time being as there's no way I'm going to be able to afford it for the next 10 years or so. Unless I win the Lotto.

Though I don't exactly know which somali hero I descended, but I heard my uncle saying one time that we are the greatest people in the horn. I think I am a hero, as well. But I worry about my future children, because I am afraid if I marry a girl from non-hero family, the possibility is that my kids could end up being cowards. Who wants a coward child in this dangerous world! LMAO!! -
Felt like bringing this back.

By GnP : Dear X, If the only deterrant in sending your application my way is financial, then worry no more. I'll make an exception for you. I'll bear 10% of the wedding expenses. Says the spider to the fly. Chauv: Mrs Vr:Walaalo, let me first say, i just met you, how in the world would i be in a sudden state of interest with your marital status? Erm, thats ^ exactly what I thought when I first read ----> If you ask me Mrs/Miss VR(i have a feelng theres no MR VR! but thats a diff story), But lets leave it there. NGONGE, VR, despite his colloquial and coarse language, I find myself agreeing with my biggest fan on this site. I had wondered about that. Maybe Chauv has a crush on you N. Ceebey tacaal. And now am off to do some serious shopping!

LoL @ Xoogsade. The gold-teeth trend isn't confined to the black community alone. I don't know about the US, but some of the British 'working' class also seem partial to garnishing their molars with gold. Mrs VR, The issue is not about men pimping women or the glorification of the pimps in this new era. Pimps have always been around, women have always been pimped and they gladly accepted it. The biggest PIMP west of washington is a white man, none other than mr hugh heffner. My issue with the author is that she selectively picked a few pimp-issues from here and there and tries to make it sensible. I see where you're going Chauv. Good point. The article isn't comprehensive enough, but it's a good place to start, don't you think? PS: Why the sudden fascination with my marital status?

Originally posted by Action Jackson: it seem like many SOL'er dont mind a "living in boyfreind" !! Hmmm...Does that also include the male nomads? AJ, there's no need to turn to mud-slinging, just because you didn't get the easy condemnation and fire-and-brimstone speeches you hoped to invoke with your little story. Honestly.

Baashi, Try this: three libton tea bags with 1/16†long qorfe stick, two heel seeds, and 1/8 sanjabeel dust, and one cup of hot water. This dose can make any novice appreciate the healing power of shaah. This is a powerful stuff! Sounds like a cracking cup of tea, awoowe. Maybe you should make me one before I delve into the inner workings of supply driven markets. Chauvinist, I have a Quetsion for you miss/Mrs VR. Is it that the kids think pimpng is kool, or is that they see cool rappers like nelly and f'tty use words like that, and hence the fear the author is worried about? I would say the latter precipitates the former. If you ask me Mrs/Miss VR(i have a feelng theres no MR VR! but thats a diff story), Whats the role of parents in this?. Is it ultimatly teh parents who have responsibility to what kids watch eh> Depends on the level of awareness parents have of teen and hip-hop sub-cultures. If they don't have a clue, there isn't much they can do, is there? In any case, parents should keep on top of their children's TV and music interests and of course banning them from watching MTV and all other related music channels probably won't hurt. Um, I sound like a dictator, don't I? FF, Ameenah, Diamante and Bishaaro: Yes, I completely agree, its hard to feel any sympathy for those women in music videos. To be completely honest they make me feel quite ill whenever I see one of those video's on TV (all those heaving cleavages and jiggling bums give me motion sickness). In fact, they are the very reason I have given up on listening to urban music at all. Not to mention the fact that they've reversed almost everything black women have fought for so far back a few centuries. Now...do we want young kids watching that kinda crap on TV on a daily basis? And if not, who is to blame for making these sort of music videos? As far as I am concerned, its the artists who are ultimately responsible and not the dancers nor the extras in their videos. Shy, I see your point, but the way you write always makes me recoil. N_P I completely agree. Finally, I think there are some fantastic hip-hop artists out there, but it just seems a shame that the trashiest ones are the most over-whelmingly popular, maybe because they're the most mainstream. Its high time the bona fide artists reclaimed their artform from the pimps and the whores. Thanks for all the comments.

Is there such a thing as HALAL DATING? If so, what is it?
Valenteenah. replied to Seeking Paradise's topic in General
Shy + JB Just because you two gag for it doesnt mean every girl wants to have sex. Maybe you should consider the possibility that different ppl have different sex drives b4 you jump down the poor girl's throat. -
I have seen the last three episodes of DH. Its OK I guess, but it doesnt compare with S&TC at all. Nomadic P Futurama is ace.

Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people. Too right.

Lol!. i thought we were talking about her?, why am in this?(since i didnt talk about your a$$, why is my a$$ an issue?) to answer Your Q, i will come back to you when and if my wife agrees to it, fair? Fair. Regarding your first question, I thought putting yourself in that situation might make you view the issue from a different perspective. Or maybe not, seeing as you're *pimpadelic*.

Oh God Baashi...too many questions! I only have another hour to get through a tonne of work, so I can't address your questions in much depth. What drives the singers to act this way? I honestly couldn't tell you. I suppose they buy into the 'sex sells' modern mentally. In the case of Rappers and the like, it might even be a dream come true. What's more cooler than driving a flash car, being draped in diamonds and frollicking with naked women? The image has been solidly sold to them and they're busy peddling it to the next generation. Is this “show me more bare skin†thing market driven business where demand-supply equation dictates what sells? In Hip-Hop culture, I think the supply drives the demand. If you consider the fact that most fans are young males, it only makes sense that they wouldn't mind watching semi-pornographic videos and listening to sexually-explicit lyrics [see Chauvinist above]. LoL @ FF.
