  1. By the way, Why is it that all the LONDON gurls are pessimists, who think any thoughts or expressions made circle around hunting men? R u guys scared that we r gonna take away the last of ur men since most of them have already opted for others in N America and the Arab countries? God..that fear keeps me up at night. Hibo...water off a camel's back! I think you should have expected this sort of response, because there are certain things that hit the discomfort reflex. I personally blame the 'sexy lingerie' bit...BAD IMAGE!!! and to be honest why would a guy leave a top london gurl to go for any other gurl in some other place else!! Mizz Lander, you crack me up...as always.
  2. Ahh...Friday...didn't think it would arrive! A very productive but completely draining week. But having met all my deadlines, I can now stop to take a breather. Also helps that it's payday. My credit card can have its much-deserved holiday! **Off to a long and leisurely team lunch now**
  3. STOIC, I'm so sorry to hear that. My condolences.
  4.   Hmmm....Transworld, you say? **Quickly backs out of the thread**
  5. I think it depends on the man- I know of a few “new age†brothers who help out at home. They were all iskaabulo at one time hence they didn’t always have a mother or sister running after them-they learnt how to cook and clean hence once they got married their wives didn’t spoil them and they learnt to help out around the home. I personally believe it’s what you teach a man. Many sisters get perfectly good house-trained men, yet they turn them into complete novices by running after them for the first year and when baby 1, 2 3 come she begins to yell that he never helps her-well duh woman! You taught him to be so incompetent and hence wuu kibray. Ditto.
  6. ^^ Xafsa, chicken, hilib, rabbit...I don't think it matters as long as it was alive at some point. Carnivores. 7. I totally agree, I thought I was the only one who thought that. I wouldn't want to speak ill of our SOL girls but desperation is at a all time high here it seems. I believe there are other more "tasteful" and "tactless" methods of achieving erm... LoL... I was trying to avoid going there.
  8. would love to outline the following points from SHIA books written by their respected shia scholars. Inshallah, we would like to know, from the shia on this thread, if this is the belief of the shia or not. a simple yes or no. Oh for the love of God... The same sort of 'questioning' tactics found on Anti-Muslim sites is being utilised here. You know the type...asking questions designed to 'outline' everything that's deemed to be 'wrong' with Islam and the Quran without attacking it outright.... I'm getting tired of the Shi'a bashing in this forum.
  9. ^ Probably. I'm also going to the Rise Festival on Saturday I'A... Have I been affected? Well, if you had asked me that on Monday, I would have said that, yeah, the incident shocked and saddened me, but that I was OK about it. Except, I have felt really strange the last few days. The more I read about details of those believed to have died, the more sick I feel. Their names and faces seem to be burned in my mind. I can't go 5 mins without thinking about them. Very strange since I didn't give that much thought to those who had died in the Twin Towers or Madrid. I felt bad about it...of course I did...but I don't think I ever grasped that they were people...not just numbers. Except now, that seems to be all I think about. So when I hear things like 'low-level attack' or 'only 50 people' it makes me feel even more sick. 50 people is a lot. 50 innocent people...like you and me...going about their daily lives. I can't get passed it. Not only that, but where as before I used to use the tube and not pay any attention to any of my fellow commuters, I find myself devoting all my time to them now...memorizing their faces, wondering where they work, what they do, if they are married or not, have children or not, where they are going, where they are coming from, if there's anyone at home worried about them, who they last called, did they say a proper goodbye to their loved ones this morning?, when was the last time they spoke to their parents?...and on and on and on... So..um...yes...I think I have been affected.
  10. ^Hello luv, how are you? Yes, I heard about the peace vigil. Hope a lot of Muslims turn up, I'A. Can't believe it's already a week since the bombings.
  11. ^ Shidh...that hit my gag reflex badly. STOIC...you would shoot me? Lexy...who doesn't, now and then? OG-Girl...Yeah, that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw 'last'. What else would you do with ur last bullet?

  14. ^^^ It's because of your way of thinking that men get off scot-free and do absolutely nothing to help around with chorus. Hmmm...what was that Somali saying tolow? Oh yes...something about lax meeshey jiifsatay lagu qalay.

For the record, you have no idea what you're talking about! I make excellent tea. EXCELLENT, I tell you. And it's not mint, it's dhaga-yare. Eejit.
  16. I am envious of you guys. I never seem to have time to pamper myself during the week. I get home at around 8pm...and by the time I have thrown off my shoes, had something to eat and watched a bit of the news its 11pm! And that's only if I havent brought any work home with me, otherwise am at the computer as soon as I come in till God knows when. On a good night, I have a nice relaxing bath and do my hair. On a bad night, its a quick shower and crawling into bed. Lotioning? perfuming? sexy lingerie? If only. *Must start pampering myself* Xafsa I go to bed smelling of baby vomit, breast milk and formula My own personal birth control LoL. Lovely combination...not exactly sexy, but very comforting. I like how new mothers smell...like their babies.
  17. I would use it on myself of course. What a silly question.
  18. ^ And why have you chosen to withhold just my summary? I don't do bribes, you know.
  19. STOIC, in the words of Paris Hilton...that's hot. Ka coofka leh, Zephyrine, I can't think of anything more morbid to read about in the morning than necrophilia (specially with a faarax). I can. But I shall resist. Wouldn't want you to bring your breakfast back up.

I really admire women who can cook. One quality I am looking for in my future wife is to be able to cook great meals. An elder relative of mine advised me about finding a good wife by taking a hint at what/how her mother cooks. For me the top 5 qualities I am looking in my future wife are: 1. Good Muslima (hijab a must). 2. Cook great meals. 3. Not too old, not too young 4. Not too smart, not too dumb. 5. Good masseur.Awesome list.
  21. ^ You're right, I am getting pretty bizarre these days. I stood in the queue at Ikea yesterday, and when it was my turn handed over my CreditCard and as I proceeded to type in my pin.... I couldn't remember it. I stood there for what felt like an eternity, trying to sift through all the pins I have memorized and I just couldn't come up with the right combination. And this from a girl with a gift for remembering numbers and dates. Now THAT is bizarre.
  22. Athena sucks up to those who praise her and whips the rest into line. The Praise-Athena-Line to be specific. Luv ya.
