  1. Trying your hand at peace-making, carafaat? I see PL and SL as husband and wife. Colna maaha, nabadna maaha.
  2. What's this 'we' stuff, then? You made the decisions unilaterally, didn't ya?
  3. Sounds like one of those filmsy legends used to scare wives. Are you enjoying your life? Are you sleeping well? Are you actually happy? Well, don't be, because your husband will likely abscond with the maid! Waa inaad habeen iyo maalin u shaqeysaa oo dabo socotaa, otherwise.... Boo!
  4. Alright, folks? Had a dream about someone on this very page last night - I dreamt they had a baby boy and they called him Hussein. How weird is that?
  5. Excellent - girls usually lose out to their brothers if the family doesn't have enough money to put all their kids in school. Better inay school dhigtaan than inay laxoox dubaan! That's my philosophy.
  6. ^ Wax uu fuss ka sameyn weli ma aragtay? Salaanta xitaa! Juxa, sorry to hear you're unwell. A speedy recovery ayaan kuugu duceynayaa. And I agree with Faheema, you should have called in - maybe you can leave early? Nuune, Mars is such a dry planet. Why would anyone want to go there? Saturn, though, is another matter altogether. What a beaut! The day they decide to send humans there, I will enlist myself.
  7. ^ A gentleman, you are not. Bluelicious ma xoolo ayey kaa dhacdey mise carruur bey kaa dishey? Maxaad u dabo socotaa? Blue, calm down dear. You don't want to be thrown over the same wall as KOW. Aah 2011...alhamdulilaah, I can't complain personally. But it's been a terrible year for Somalis. My heart clenches and my stomach spasms every time I remember the thousands of children and babies who died (and are probably still dying) of starvation. Insha'Allah, I have high hopes for 2012. Ilaahay ha inooga dhigo sanad khayr qaba oo muraad keena oo dhan ha inoo sahlo. Amiin.
  8. LoL...the beauty of today's technology. Morning, afternoon and evening, aduunka dhinac to dhinac, waa la wada sheekeysan karaa! Some people are already in tomorrow. Howdy Juxa, Faheema and Nuune!
  9. Aw, what a wonderful job they are doing. But they can only reach a small percentage of needy/traumatised children. I wonder if there's a way to donate to the centre directly?
  10. Heart-warming for sure. May Allah (SWT) bless the city and the country with peace and prosperity. Amiin. BTW, I love the reporter's turn of phrase!
  11. It truly was a stunning city. You can still glimpse the spark of Old Muqdisho even in today's petrified state. It was a very loved city, and Insha'Allah it will recover and stand proud again. But the rest of Somalia needs to be given the same attention, funds and love as Muqdisho. Dhiiga ayey ka jaqday the rest of the country from 1960 - 1991! 12. It's almost like a bewildering, circuitous Byzantine knot - all tangled up to hell. This pillar of greed, interest and debt, piled up so high and teetering on edge will undoubtedly crumble at some point, perhaps taking Western civilisation, as we know it, down and out with it. Who knows, ey?

There is nothing wrong with driving a nice car (if one can afford it). 2. There is nothing wrong with wearing nice clothes. One should look good, clean and presentable. 3. There is nothing wrong with having a nice house to live in (if one can afford it). 4. There is nothing wrong with enjoying good food (as long as you're not wasteful). As long as we're not exessive in what we do. True that. It's excess we should fight against. The middle road in everything we do. Modesty and Moderation and Malab. The healthiest Ms in the world. Thumbs up @ Narniah.
  14. LoL...thanks for the laugh!
  15. Hmm...I don't know how the Rep Power is linked to the green stars. Could never figure it out. But in the settings section, it tells you how many reputation points you have, which I suppose are derived from the number of green stars you have received? But even that doesn't make sense as mine seems to be an arbitrary number. Perhaps only Admin can explain how the system works. FB, I would happily give you some reputation but I'm all out for now. PS: THANK YOU (you know who you are!)
  16. Yup, agree about Somalia (sorry but it's true) and add AsadSL to the list (although he isn't as big a troll) but they are all cut from the same clannish troll cloth. Blue will be alright. No Somali girl worth her salt cries over a Faarax.
  17. It's a fair article, I suppose. I find the comments section of AJ more interesting than their opinion pieces these days.
  18. ^ Maxaad Aaliyah meesha u soo gelisay? Having a heart isn't a bad thing. Perhaps that's what's missing from all these politicians. Gabadha noo daa, waryaa.
  19. So, when is this Poll closing? Give Nuune his glass of milk already, The Jinn-Whisperer has it in the bag.
  20. Ah, did Admin get rid of him already? I was afraid of that. He was definitely a troll but such high-spirits, he had started to grow on me! Oh well, hope he gets a second chance - maybe Admin will allow him back in with a different shirt?
  21. Khadar, I believe the phrases are connected to the number of green stars you have. You were 'is jewel in the rough' till I gave you some reputation and now you are 'is a glorious beacon of a growing light'. Pretty awesome, if I may say so myself.
