^^ Plagiarising? Are you trying to piss me off?

Are you actually expecting a list of 'Heblaayo does this' and 'heblaayo does that' and 'another heblaayo does that also's? Talk about gross over-simplifications! If that's all you want, find out what your female relatives are doing and base your generalisations on that (perhaps they will look more intelligent than the tripe you're currently offering) In response to your other outcry: I haven't seen one active Somali woman who has anything positive to contribute. My experience is somewhat different. The only active people I come across in the Somali community are women. Open your eyes and look around, won't you? Most of the people making forward strides in the diaspora are young women. The young men seem to have been snatched from the air by youth offenders institutions, unfortunately. Furthermore, Ayaan Xirsi is not the only Somali woman out there and she certainly doesn't represent Somali women. Drumming that particular foosto must be getting tiring, surely? I know I'm tired of hearing it.

Fully agree with Lily. The fact remains that the more partners you sleep with, the more you are at risk of catching an STI regardless of whether you are married to those partners or not, therefore a mutually monogamous relationship is key to a safe sex life. Hiding under the cloak of conservatism or Islam won't prevent or eradicate the spread of STIs, since the only sure way of avoiding them is to completely abstein from sexual intimacy/contact. That, however, isn't a very practical thing to do for most people (esp polygamous ones!), therefore the next best thing is armour up; i.e condom-up. So say NO! to HIV and STIs by saying YES! to condoms.

Originally posted by me: ^^what have they done? please tell me? Your ignorance is coming through loud and clear. Most of us are here today because of our mothers. We survived because of our mothers. Most of our relatives are surviving off the sole trading of Somali women and the money sent home by Somali women. Despite everything, Somalia is still limping along today because of Somali women. They are the people getting on with improving their livelihoods, holding their families together and single-handedly raising their children while the men play at being politicians, gunmen and goats. Now, please shut your pie-hole and go back to your political marfish, won't you?

Valentines: overated, over-commercialised and over the top. Still, it's nice to know you're loved.

Should Grandma divorce Grandpa? Sure. She should give him her blessings and gift him with a packet of viagra. Speedy heart attack, anyone?

I can believe that. I wonder how Londoners rated in the politeness poll? Not very highly I would wager.

Teenager's death shown to jurors Images of an 18-year-old being attacked by a gang of 40 youths in a busy London high street have been shown to jurors. The footage shows Mahir Osman being set upon by the gang who took less than a minute to kill him during the attack near Camden Tube station, north London. The jury at the Old Bailey saw Mr Osman being punched, stamped on and stabbed 20 times on a Saturday night in January last year. Eight defendants, including five youths, deny murder. Faisal Wangita, 25, Ismail Mohamed, 18 and Liban Elmi, 20, all from north London, and five youths aged 16 to 17 who cannot be named because of their age, also deny three other charges of conspiracy to carry offensive weapons, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and violent disorder. Brian Finucane QC, prosecuting, said: "It is all over literally in seconds. He was set upon by a gang of up to 40 Somali youths. It lasted less than a minute." He added: "I warn you, you are going to see footage of this young boy being murdered." The court watched in silence as youths carrying wooden bats, bottles, hammers and knives assaulted Mr Osman. He was left rolling about in the road as his attackers ran off and tried to get away on a number 253 bus before it was stopped by police, said Mr Finucane. Some of the youths evaded arrest by climbing out of the bus's emergency exit at the back. An arsenal of weapons had been found in and around the vehicle, the court was told. The attack had been the culmination of escalating violence involving two Somali gangs from Camden and the Tottenham-Edmonton area. The trial was adjourned until tomorrow. Source

Rudy, you've got some serious issues. You ought to see a shrink. -
Originally posted by Mujaahid: Red Sea: Rab followers on each others' faces, spreading chocalate puting and ice cream on all over your skin, then sweeping it with your tongue... What? Lo0oL! God help us. Red Sea, that's all good and fine (showing your love everyday). You could have said that to start with. I just found the 'Eid is our Valentines day' comment patronising. Now, go forth and prosper.
-
^ Really? If that was so, shouldn't more couples retire to their homes for a good shagging on Eid rather than coming out and celebrating with their families and kids and neighbours and fellow muslims? Waad iska hadashaa mar mar. On that note, happy valentines! Zii: LoL...ka daa!

Che, How did you figure that out without the year? NG, I'm actually happy to have gotten past those years. Awful, they were. Alhamdulilah.
-
Ibti, they ought to have child-locks for people like you. NG, you are a bit fast. I believe you've got 2 and I have 4 months to go before such claims can be made.
-
Best of luck with your project and if you need any help don’t at all feel shy at asking Val, Sheh and Serenity for help. Look at him, offering our help but not his. The cheek. Ibti, mighty lot of bother for such a tight timescale. Still, I wish you the best of luck.

NG: Another April baby, then. Question was age, tho.

Valentines, the pink and fluffy day, where couples snog endlessly on the commute home. Urg.

Well, I was 21 when I joined this site. Do the math. PS: I hear April babies tend to be bossy. Any truth in it?
