Red Sea: And I suppose you would be a 'young man at play'? How were the exams then?
-
Five bananas, actually, Paragon. And they may not have been expensive but they were MINE, Che. I had walked the 1/4 mile to Tesco. I had weighed them. I had paid for them. And I had planned to enjoy them. Don't trivialise my pain, now. CG, make the soup at home? Ha ha. Good one. Sheh, haahey. Waa la i bartay. Serenity, I suppose if nobody owns up, I will have to send an email around telling people to keep off my food.
-
But who doesn't love monkeys?
-
So that's what happens. I had wondered why all my non-direct repayments amounted to almost as much as the interest charged for the year. Waa wada tuug wuxu.
-
Lo0oL! NG, she must have really annoyed you with that other topic.
-
^LoL @ you two. Please. I don't want to foster a reputation for being anal retentive. LoL @ 'donation'. The Point, the jar scheme is in operation for milk and biscuits already. The whole team is supposed to contribute and buy them in turns, but I'm the only one who diligently re-stocks them, simply because I can't live without my tea and biscuits and they know it. Come to think of it, you're probably right. I have developed a rep as the office canteen. Gee, just because I like having all my little comforts and favourites around, doesn't mean they should take advantage of me.

^^ Did I ask you for your opinion? Lily/Ibti I don't think it's just the one person, I think there must be at least three of them. I don't mind sharing my food, really I don't, but I like to know what's been taken so I can replace it. It sucks when you come to work without any cash, only to find someone's eaten the lunch you were counting on. Bugger. The Point, Exactly. They know how much I like my bananas. They know I have one with everything I eat, including sandwiches. And still they steal them! The cruelty.

There is a food thief stalking me at work. First it was my soup (four cans- 1 spicy turnip, 2 autumn vegetables, and 1 lentil soup- have gone missing in the last month). Then it was my dessert (my loaf of madeira cake has been disappearing at a faster rate each week). And now...now they've turned on my bananas! My bananas! I bought a whole bunch yesterday and there's only three pieces left now. I'm so frigging mad. I can accept anything but the theft of my bananas...damn those thieving ba$tards!
-
Rahima, you're a let down! LoL @ Cara, ma ila aragtay? And I fall for it every time.
-
Wa salaam. Soo dhawoow.

Magool, is that what you brought to the table after all that fanfare? Cajuusad gaaban! Originally posted by Legend of Zu: quote: Originally posted by Rahima: Magool if you take me off the list I’ll let you in on a whopper of a secret , one that only Val, Zu and myself know. Serenity might know but I’m not sure. Anyway delete my name and it’s all yours to use as you wish - will come in handy to blackmail indha yar man. Zu, I’m sorry mate  , no loyalty when my name is in tatters. Nooo You didn't!...Waa gartay! - haddaan masaajidka ka istaagin oo aanan ku naadin! Besides almost everyone knows it - I only told you to keep it as a secret knowing how loyal you are and how much you like to spread secrets And I can't believe you told my biz to Serenity ... UNBELIEVABLE! Can somebody let me in on this secret? I'm intrigued.

I would go for a Vera Wang gown, myself. I would even starve myself for three months just to get into one. <---- Qaxooti with high aspirations.

Qof walba waxbaa u daran, dheh. Qaad ama aroos. Thanks for the laugh.

^ Maxaa ku soo taagay meesha weli? Habeen wanaagsan baan ku nidhi.
-
^^ Waan diiday. Habeen wanaagsan, Aussies.

Zu, ma dhici karto. The very fact that my name is included attests to a lack of shame. Shame and I cannot coexist, you see. Now, Magool, be a dear and correct the spelling.
-
CG, Why do I sense you like the sound of that? LoL! I'm sure Magool meant 'fame' rather than 'shame'. Didn't you, dear?
-
^ No, I am not. I thought you were, tho. LoL. Moroodi...luv that word. Luv the animals too. Baby moroodi are just adorable.

This makes it THRICE then. Paragon - Have you heard of my event-planning skills, then? Not that I want to turn away good business, but am afraid am fully booked till December. We can look into organising something for next spring tho (another leaving do perhaps? ) NG - (Pointedly ignoring your 'nut' reference) I like fluffy things and I'm always happy to participate in welcoming or leaving threads. Pi - I read certain nomads' posts in this section, as well as some of the more interesting threads. I'm not a regular lurker though. Over-exposure to the politics section isn't a good thing, as you so aptly demonstrated.
-
^ That's right. Do you disagree?
-
Pi seems to have developed an abrasive personality. Paragon, why don't you just admit you wanted a party in your honour? It didn't have to be a leaving do, you know. You could have come up with something else to celebrate.
-
The only dugaag left in Somalia are of the two-legged (man) variety. Probably.

^ And you call me a Tory? Heh. Originally posted by Legend of Zu: Well nothing that the government does can make the poor richer, but slight changes to the tax system can make the middle class better off! That is a provocative statement. Could you elaborate a little more? Isn't it possible that slight changes to the tax system could make the poor a little better off too (as opposed to becoming rich)? This govt's policies have actively increased the gap between the rich and poor since coming into power. In fact the working classes are more likely to benefit from the Tories than New Labour these days.
