  1. Lo0oL!!! OMG, that was ridiculously funny!
  2. Dhulqarnayn -alSumaale, why don't you assume both babies are Somali in this mix up? Let's leave the ethnic confusion. Andromeda, I would happily keep the baby I have formed the attachment with. Sharing DNA isn't that important to me.
  3. Hey X...since I dont see you around, I will assume you have managed to conk out. I get bouts of insomnia too, but I have no sure-fire cure for it. I tend to just get into bed and stare at the ceiling till sleep comes.
  4. QL! LoL...how are you, dear? Gee, you are still on holiday? Have you moved away then, because this is more than just a holiday. War soo noqo! London misses you. PS: Sounds very idyllic I must say. NG, the Lake District is great but it doesn't compare! Perhaps when I win the Lotto, I will shout for a holiday down under for you and the family. Seren, I don't see you in Africa. Middle East perhaps, but Africa? Nah! Zu, lol...trying to grab some of the awe for yourselves ey? Tut tut...
  5. Good to see older women getting some love. DD, I bet you were tricked and you didn't know his age before you became interested. Zu, why put him off? Let him experience it for himself!
  6. Oh, no. I would definitely recommend you visit, Lily. It's a dreamy country and everyone should see it.
  7. Serenity, and where might you be going in a year's time (I'A)? I loved everything about London (other than the commute and the expense), the pace, the excitement, the culture, the food (yes, the food!), the rudeness, the variety, the diversity, the convenience, the economy (especially the job market…is there anyone where better than London for jobs?)….and then I went to Sydney and Melbourne. Now I find it difficult to see all the nice things about London. My eyes are only open to the grime, the crime, the cost, the inefficient transport system, the fact I can't afford to buy a property and the constant low morale everywhere. Give me the Work Visa already because I am about ready to follow those 71,000 people who migrated to Australia in the last year. DD, I’m the same. I would have major trouble trying to work from home, mainly because I get easily distracted. I would probably mistake it for a day off and sleep in before going out for a leisurely brunch somewhere and then hitting the shops. Ghanima, Heh. Ma anaan garan!
  8. LoL @ Faarax B...wax waalan. Keyf, Red Sea and Sheh, LoL..you guys are too kind! I was indulging in a little subtle (too subtle?) mocking of the thread. Romance-deprivation, altho a very serious issue, has been covered many many times previously. On a more serious note, I agree with those who say it's up to the wives to communicate what it is they need/want that the marriage is lacking. KK - Masha'Allah...you got a pretty sweet deal going there. Ilaahay ha kuu daayo. Amiin. PS: Bisinka qabso oo Quraan ku akhri reerkaaga..I can see lots of jeluusiya coming your way! Double PS: Umi isn't the one with hubby-trouble. It's her neighbours. Keep up, people.
  9. Ghanima, I noticed a curious thing about people who WfH. They send a couple of emails in the morning, usually between 9.25-9.37am, then you don't hear from them until around 2pmish and finally you receive a call or a final email around 4.30pm. Heh, talk about trying too hard to prove you are working. We KNOW you are not for the most part!
  10. Well, now that the strike has been suspended, those Metronet peeps must have gotten what they wanted. Commuting truly sucks. A big bloke stepped on my foot this morning and I'm now limping. I'm so envious of people who can walk to work.
  11. My beau promises to be romantic and spontaneous and kinky once we get hitched. Is he lying to me?
  12. Oh, you poor poor people! How I feel for you! Anigu, I was enjoying a well-deserved cuppa on my sofa by 5pm having left the office an hour earlier. Hope your journeys are not too hellish. Toodles. Originally posted by NGONGE: Val, that's because you live and work in - to put it very mildly - a very tame part of town. So, which parts of town are wild? East London? *Guffaw*
  13. It wasn't bad for me at all. I got the Northern Line and was at work at 9am on the dot. Even found a seat halfway through.

That's so cruel. Tukaale, it depends entirely on your budget. Under £50 - those little iPod Shuffles are really cute and are only £49 Under £100 - Silver jewellery. You can't go wrong with some cool stylish real silver earrings and bracelets. Under £200 - iPod nano (£129) or any other shiny gadget and a really nice set of skincare products (safest to stick with face wash/cleanser, toner and moisturiser for normal/combination skin) ideally from the Bodyshop as Zenobia mentioned or any of the other great labels such as Origin, L'occitane, Aveda etc etc (you can find them all at big department stores like Selfridges, House of Fraser, Allders or Debenhams). The better ranges (organic) cost anything between £30-£70, depending on the brand and the products. Over £200 - to spend above this amount, you REALLY ought to know what she likes or you'll be wasting your money. I have 3 younger sisters and a trillion female relatives, so I'm a bit of an expert with gifts.
  15. Long-distance relationships are a NIGHTMARE. Every single day that you are away from your loved one is such a waste...of your time, your love and your life. Unfortunately many Somali couples are trapped into this sort of relationship, most probably because we are scattered all over the world. If it's in your hands to do something about it, then you ought to. I wish you all the best, dear.
  16. Well, Andro, you know what I think about this. Get your istubidh licence already, will you?
  17. I don't know much about Oxford Brookes, but I think it's always good to study abroad if you are able to. You'll enjoy it, I'A!

Somaliland maxay kugu soo sameysay waaba yaab e?

  20. ^ It's about time. MC Xamar, I've finally registered and joined.
  21. That's quite alright, Red Sea. Waan arkayaa meesha waxaad u salaxaysaa 23yos.
  22. LoL...is that so? Only I heard they were moving there because there were more jobs and you get council houses faster.
  23. Haye, all the bachelors have moved out of London, miyaa? Actually come to think of it, you might be right. Most of my male relatives have moved to Bristol in the last seven years.
  24. Naomi, I work for a local authority.
