  1. Favorite heartbreak songs? You gotta be sh!tting me. Like, you have a list? And this whole thread smells fishy. Two poems on this page, both posted by dudes. Strange. Love is for suckas. Y'all proved it.
  2. You know, some people and their nacnac isn't even worth it. With respect to the posed question, consider it dropped.
  3. AYOUB - Maxaad isla cuncunsaysaa? Relax, kid. If you don't like the topic, don't respond. After all, you have that right. Better yet, as far as your pipedream is concerned, endulge yourself in this. JAYLAANI - I just read your post, sxb. Confusing story of the he say/she say brand, I suppose. But the hell is the dude talking about when he says this: Waxaad eegtaan qodobka 35aad ee dasduurka ee sheegaya inaan muwaadin loo dhiibin dawlad shisheeye, haddii cadaaladii loo dhiibay tahay been, ma sabidaad iyo sharciga oo lagu tunto, waxa la eegidoona waxa uu Rayaale ka yeelo Puntland-ta Hargeysa joogta isaga kow ka ah
  4. ^^ The question isn't whether there were demonstrations or not (obviously, there were and people have every right to do so). The question is: Will Cadde/Afqurac do something to alleviate the peoples' grievances? Originally posted by General Duke: Their army I was once told was formidable and could even reach Garowe . Wishful thinking, I suppose. Threats over BBC airwaves has been transformed into a work of art in some circles. I think Dr Dre said it best: "Move units, then talk sh!t and we can do this."
  5. Unreasonable arrests, shutting down the free press and millions of dollars missing from the Puntland treasury! That'll be the legacy of this incompetent administration. And to remember all that empty talk of "reform" during the pseudo-elections of Jan 2005.
  6. ^^ Garaad C/qani (Allaha u naxaristo) isn't the topic here dude. Chillax. DUKE - Did you see these reports or are we to believe Cadde/Afqurac got the red-carpet treatment in Laascaanood? People are growing sick and tired of this inept and corrupt administration (not to mention Col Yeey's interference). Maxaa Sababay In Lagu Mudaharaado Waftigii Madaxweynaha iyo Ku Xigeenkiisa Ee Soo Gaadhay Laascaanood? (RadioSSC.net) Mudoharaad Looga soo Horjeedo Cadde Muuse oo ka socda Laascaanood (WidhWidh Online) As far as the topic, it seems no one has any answers. Why would a Somaliland MP say the morale of the SL militia is low compared to that of PL? More importantly, why spend over 50% of SL's meager revenue on a militia force that's demoralized (according to the MP)? Let's not change the topic, fadlan.
  7. Lying 101 (Associate Prof Dick Cheney): Topic: Liar's Guide to Ducking Responsibility 1. Cover-Up 2. Misinform [the public] 3. Duck [responsibility] Practical example: Perp: Dick; Victim: Lawyer After perp shoots lawyer, this is how the situation develops: 1. [cover-up] Secret Service denies immediate access by local law enforcement to interview perp, Dick. 2. [misinform] Use ranch owner to call media the next day and to try and "minimize" the impact of the news. 3. [duck responsibility] Perp [Dick] blames the guy [lawyer] he shot. "The big scandal apparently is that they didn't release the news for 18 hours. I don't think that's a scandal at all. I'm quite pleased about that. Finally there's a secret the vice president's office can keep." --Craig Ferguson "The man who was shot is named Harry Whittington. He's a high powered Republican lawyer, he was very lucky. They say the only reason that he wasn't killed is he was wearing the body armor that never got shipped to our troops." --Jimmy Kimmel "President Bush sent Vice President Dick Cheney to New Orleans. Is that what they need down there? Another person requiring emergency medical help?" --Jay Leno
  8. A Somaliland MP named C/qadir Max'd Xasan (Indhoindho) was part of a Somaliland delegation that came to Laascaanood to partake in the ongoing funeral for Garaad C/qani Garaad Jaamac (Allaha u naxaristo). After returning to Somaliland, he talked with the media and said some things that forced Axmed Xasan Cali (Casoowe), Somaliland justice minister, to respond. Below is part of the interview, which has been posted on many pro-Somaliland websites: Markaa waxa layaab ila noqotay oo igu keliftay inaan shirkan idinku waco nin Xildhibaan ah oo la yidhaahdo Cabdiqaadir Maxamed Xasan (Indhoindho) oo Saxaafada warsiiyey, waxyaabaha aan. So, my question is this: Why would a member of Somaliland's parliament say such things? Mr. Casoowe responded by saying that he was surprised, but didn't really delve into the why MP C/qadir "Indhoindho" spoke to media and publicly said such things. I await from the eagerly pro-Somaliland folks here to offer an explanation.
  9. ^^ Don't be so excited. I didn't even read the long piece, but I read this commentary. The character published synthesized information and wants to make it look as if he's detailing ever-elusive "truth": Paul Pillar, was national intelligence officer for the Middle East from 2000 to 2005, and has just published an article in Foreign Affairs titled "Intelligence, Policy, and the War in Iraq." It is an insider's account of his tenure and the "disturbing developments" he witnessed on the job. In substance, it tells us little more than what we have long since pieced together ourselves, but it provides welcome confirmation. Sadly, Pillar speaks of the politicization of intelligence as though it were a bothersome headache rather than the debilitating cancer it is . Interviewed on NPR, he conceded without any evident embarrassment that, with respect to Iraq, "intelligence was not playing into a decision to be made. It was part of the effort to build support for the operation." So, in the vernacular of Watergate, Pillar's article is "modified limited hangout," in which he pulls many punches. Nowhere in Pillar's 4,450 words, for example, appears the name of former CIA director George Tenet , whom he now joins at Georgetown University. It should qualify as another "disturbing development" that Pillar parrots the administration's default explanation for what drove its decision to topple Saddam: "namely, the desire to shake up the sclerotic power structures in the Middle East and hasten the spread of more liberal politics and economics in the region." The word "oil" appears once in Pillar's article: "military bases" and "Israel" not at all. He splits hairs to be overly kind to former Secretary of State Colin Powell. "To be fair," writes Pillar, "Secretary Powell's presentation at the UN never explicitly asserted that there was a cooperative relationship between Saddam and al-Qaeda." Pillar seem to have forgotten how Powell used that speech to play up "the potentially more sinister nexus between Iraq and the al-Qaeda terrorist network, a nexus that combines classic terrorist organizations and modern methods of murder," and spoke of a "Saddam-bin Laden understanding going back to the early and mid-1990s." No mention of "Israel" or "military bases" (in Iraq)? Isn't that suspect at the very least?
  10. ^^ True, but everywhere I look, a leadership is f.ucking it up for the rest and each nation needs to be saved from itself (i.e. from its leaders). The U.S. is a prime example! Originally posted by Sayyid ()Qutb: I was for once advocating for a 'separation' wall to be build in order to protect 'ourselves' from the criminals inside 'baraxley' A separation wall? Is this guy serious? Those walls failed in Berlin and they're bound to fail if Israel continues to build their new wall. What made you think, even for a brief second, that a "separation wall" in Galkacyo would work? And you make Baraxley look as if it has only "criminals", when in fact, the whole of Galkacyo is full of criminals and is home to Somalia's most notorious and ruthless warlords (so-called "presidents", "ministers" and "MPs"). Separation wall! Goodness.
  11. Its very good that the TFG wants Gaalkacyo and Mudug in general to unite. But how will that be done? Will Southern Mudug become part of Puntland? I wouldn't read too much into Col Yeey's words. He wants to get political points by holding hands (!) with Cismaan Caato and posing for pictures. Now, Gen Cadde Muuse is back and he immediately flew to Galkacyo to meet with Col Yeey and further busy himself with "federal" matters while overt corruption destroys the political and economic fabric of Puntland! Puntland needs to be saved.
  12. ^^ Its not tough being a Muslim in the West; rather, its tough being a knowledgeable, practicing Muslim in the West. The only crime Sh. Ibrahim committed is that he taught Islam. They're fighting an ideology - how do you kill a snake? By cutting off its head. Sh. Ibrahim, because of his Islamic knowledge, is seen as "threat" to the U.S. I dunno how he's a threat, however. The case is getting more awareness and its a test for the government. How they deal with Sh. Ibrahim will reflect on all future cases of similar disposition. May Allah SWT protect Sh. Ibrahim from all harm (Aamin!). p.s. The government's key witness is an ex-felon.
  13. ^^ Nice jab. The Somali Diaspora is chewing khat, scratching their a$$es and blaming everyone for everything wrong in the world, except themselves. A society that's quick to collect millions of dollars to buy weaponry for sub-clan X sits idle and watches as millions of fellow Somalis face starvation. And we wonder when Somalia will ever be fixed. I've done my part as an individual and I continue to encourage family and friends. Beyond that, I pass the torch to my fellow nomads.
  14. Originally posted by Red Sea Casse: If you are going to blame anybody for this then blame all the the politicians from Somaliland and the regional state of Puntland for hitting two brotherly poeple who live and inhabit same region against each other. If I'm not blaming the politicians, who else am I blaming? The average dude walking down the street in Hargeisa? C'mon man. This is politics - I'm talking only about the politicians, for they shape the politics in question. I am not singling out any politician, because I am merely blaming all of them, but if I did, I would say the actual source of it all is Abdullahi Yusuf for he wants to destablize Somaliland, but only Allah can do that not a tired old man like he. C/llahi Yusuf can be blamed for a lot of things, but the ONLF burning cars in Kilinka Shanaad is not one of them. You can make the "clan connection" to try and find an easy way out. But reality states that C/llahi Yusuf relinquished his support for the ONLF when he joined Team Ethiopia (SRRC) as a full-fledged member. One of the Ethiopians' demands was that he immediately stop aiding the ONLF. Since then, the ONLF has been denied access to use Bossaso port (on Col Yeey's orders) and a halt to weapons shipment. Today, the ONLF leadership has a closer relationship to C/qasim Salad-Indhocade camp than to Puntland or Col Yeey. Abdullahi Yusuf supplies weapons to ONLF, and Yen, why can't you stress the violence that has been commited by ONLF against Somaliland's business people. The ONLF blew up at least 50 trucks that belonged to Somaliland's business people. Those were unjust actions by the ONLF Sometimes I wonder if folks such as yourself choose to blind yourself or that you're utterly ignorant of the subject at hand. Firstly, I've already established that Col Yeey no longer supplies weapons to the ONLF - courtesy of the Ethiopians. Secondly, according to you, its unjust for the ONLF to burn Somaliland cars. Yet, you don't mention why they're burning Somaliland cars. Do you think the ONLF leadership woke up one day and decided to burn cars for no reason? When innocent men with clan affiliation to the ONLF are arrested by Somaliland militias and given to Ethiopian intelligence, is that just action? And what of the sizeable number of men in Somaliland jails who are alleged members of the ONLF (even though the Somaliland court ruled that they be released)? What's the court for if its rulings can't be enforced? When Somaliland cars are burned, ina Cali Waraabe is quick to blame Kilinka Shanaad, Puntland and even Kismaayo - and he calls for war. Why can't be address the root cause of the current standoff? Hargeisa's aggressive policies is what caused the ONLF to react in such a manner. And despite his "clan conspiracy" paranoia, the status quo has nothing to do with Puntland or Kismaayo, for that matter. This is another way the Hargeisa regime skillfully diverts the public's attention away from the corruption that continues to cripple the region. Spending over 50% of the budget on a security apparatus that specializes in "hospital invasion" tactics and can't even stop intra-clan warfare in Hargeisa!

You live in a building with a larger population than most towns. LOL That's a good one. The jokes about "space" are quite funny. London is just crammed in every which way, period.
  16. ^^ Surprise, surprise. Its an occupation, after all.
  17. When the Blessed Messenger (SCW) was sending them off, he asked Mu'adth how he would decide issues among the people. Mu'adth gave the famous reply that he would go by the Qur'an first. The Prophet asked which source he would consult next. Mu'adth replied that he would look into Sunnah. The the Prophet asked where he would look next if no answer was found there. to that, Mu'adth replied that he would use his own reasoning to make a sound judgment. The Blessed Prophet (SCW) was pleased with his answers. A great example for Muslims everywhere to follow!
  18. ^^ Hey, hypocrisy is the theme of our Times. Don't let it get to you. Muslims need to rise above it on a personal level first before anything can reflect on the Ummah or national level.
  19. Pardon my French, but what the f.uck are they lining up for and smiling about? Reer Puntland have been on Col Yeey's leash for years. Give it up. Sharif Xasan was enemy of the state before January 5th. A month later, he walks into Galkacyo and is given the red carpet treatment. Why? Coz Col Yeey told those unemployed folks in Mudug that the Sharif, all of a sudden, is on point so they have to welcome him. I remember you, GENERAL DUKE, labelling Sharif Xasan as the Xamar warlords' "tool." Aren't Reer Puntland tools for Col Yeey? Its amazing how the political climate in Puntland coincides with the sayings and dealings of the old fart. All of a sudden, GENERAL DUKE in the Diaspora is posting pictures of "tool" Sharif Xasan in Galkacyo. You have no solid political foundation whatsoever. You're entire political orientation revolves around that of your idolized warlord-turned-selected President Col Yeey. Get a grip, man! This episode just shows who the real "tool" is, however.
  20. Wall Street and Las Vegas won the Super Bowl. Congrats to them!
  21. Ilaahow u naxaristo Janadana ka waraabi. Aamin! p.s. Puntland's response is beyond dissappointing on all fronts.

  23. ^^ LOL@ Swedish suits. I never saw my ancestors so I got no idea what they wore homie. Originally posted by Kooleey: but as for me I think those pictures depict handsome, strong, courages, dignified, honourable men. Are we looking at the same pictures? What's so "dignified" about a bunch of nomads who fought each other, slaughtered their women and razed their own villages? We should distance ourselves from a culture of violence where, in the name of "honor" or "pride", entire villages are burnt to the ground and tens of innocent lives taken. Worse, such actions are justified not only by the people of that era, but even by today's generation! The legacy of violence that was taught to us by previous generations (like those ancestors in them pics) still continues. Like I said, they simply shed the waran for mechanized weaponry. Big difference!
  24. Oh, great: People across the world already believe Africans are a bunch of savages and you post pictures that depict "Somali soldiers" who look like they belong on a World Vision TV commercial! And what are we to make of such images? Be proud of our violent culture? Back then...they had waran. Now they hot...they got tekniko. Same people, same mentality, different period of Time. p.s. Is that Kunta Kinte's third cousin in Picture #4?
