  1. Mogadishu will always be Somalia's capital. But currently, no interim government can operate there unless the militias are demobilized. C/llahi Yusuf didn't DECIDE to just move it to Baydhabo. It's a consensus, dating back from the Arta Initiative, whose first goal was to rule from Baydhabo. But, as history has it, Abdiqassim Salat changed his mind in the last minute.
  2. I also promise to accept whoever is selected as the new Somali leader on Sunday, Oct 10, 2004. May Allah guide him/her in the truest path. Amin!
  3. Big up Hargeisa! QUDHAC - Since the problem is maintaining a balance between population and resources, perhaps the government should take action to control the inward flow of population that only helps to harm the system. Or would that cause civil unrest?
  4. The Yu-Yu have to be happy with Otali. He can read and write in a coherrent manner to promote their selfish and doomed ideals for Somalia. For that, Otali is a hero! Cheers.
  5. What a tragedy! I hope Isbahaysiga Dooxada Jubba has enough power to maintain security in Kismaayo and to protect its citizens. Enough reports have emerged that armed militias who don't fall under the control of the Isbahaysiga roam the streets in the post-SPM battle for Kismaayo control. If these militias aren't controlled, the Dhoobley tragedy will be a walk in the park. God forbid!
  6. You can't blame the Jews: they're the most persecuted race in the history of humanity! They're only looking out for their own good.
  7. I'm curious: In the virtual court of SOL politics, how come only Cabdullahi Yusuf and Gen Morgan are the defendants? Almost every Somali warlord or politician has a dirty rapsheet. I hope y'all ain't too blinded by clan patriorism to at least see that. Anyways, Abdi Hashi is a very able man and well respected in Somalia's northeastern regions, and rightfully so. I was wondering though, if the current state-building initiative in Mbegathi works, will the Federal Somalia include the State of Puntland or Mudug, Sool, Nugaal, Hiiraan, Banaadir etc? It seems like a State of Puntland would be geographically extravagant with respect to other federal states.
  8. Whoever posted this needs to clarify what 'socialism' & 'democracy' mean. Whoever said socialism, communism & marxims HAVE caused the death of millions is partially correct. But, I suppose democracy has SAVED millions? Say, in Iraq, or Afghanistan, where perfectly 'democratic' governments exist. I mean those government are so democratic that they're no longer part of the Axis of Evil. Hail to Democracy & Bush-ism. And neither Bush nor Blair can be compared to Mao Zedong (Tse-sung), the People's Republic of China's founding father. He's the national founding father to over a billion people. Bush & Blair are serving mere terms. Their nations, the U.K. & the U.S., are based on a long tradition of governance, and therefore don't need to be 'found.' Capishe?
  9. To be an "ex-Muslim" is fine. But to outwardly insult the holy religion (Islam) and it's holy prophet (Muhammad scw) is going far and beyond. They say, "to each, his own." I suppose this is the way she chose her life.
  10. Another typical gender-bashing, Cyber-party. Marvelous!
  11. Horn - lol sorry man I must've missed it However, I don't agree with the title, when you say "Puntland" and "their clansmen." People who are aligned to the clans of Puntland live there, as well as Jubbooyinka, I thought you knew that. So, in essence, it's not the people of Puntland who want Kismaayo, it's their brethrens who've only known one home: Kismaayo. And they sure as heck don't feel comfortable being ruled by foreigners that they're not familiar with, i.e. Reer Galgaduud & allied parties!
  12. I never expected this line of thought from HornAfrique. SXB, do you honestly think the "Isbahaysiga" who rule Kismaayo today are their legitimately? Or are they colonizing in name of having a seaport for Gedo region?
  13. LOL help eradicate AIDS? Bro, they took AIDS to Africa for the sole purpose of controlling the population there. The article is so unrealistic because it challenges geopolitical status quo. The Jews got paid for the Holocaust because Israel alone wields more political power globally than the entire African continent! I read the article as another African journalist crying about the past. It's very informative, but only because it details slavery for those who already had a general view. I have a question, tho. When you refer to debt cancellation by Western powers, what do they get in return? Forgiveness? Bro, you're talking about the most materialistic societies the world has ever known. The West never has and never will do anything that doesn't benefit them. A favor for a favor they say.
  14. Jazaakalah Khayr, Nur Wonderful story. Thanks for relating.
  15. Below is a response to "Civil Democratic Islam: Partners, Resources and Strategies" - a new, neo-conservative policy document. http://www.islamicity.com/articles/Articles.asp?ref=IV0408-2421 The New Roman Empire seems bent on changing the Muslim world to better fit their worldview. Whatcha y'all think?
  16. Politics & sports don't mix? I thought politics was involved in everything. Huh, go figure. I think the way the Iranian champ responded was more effective, to coincide with the Israel-less map. The Iranians are tough, but next on New Roman Empire's target list. I hope they're ready.
  17. I think I should've listened to the homie who remarked something to the effect of arguing with a person who named himself after a gun! HOWEVER, I'ma still try to talk some sense into your brick-layered mentality on the mad Colonel. Your point about someone disliking him based on CLAN is entirely legitimate. BUT, do you honestly believe that ALL these people who responded to this thread and others across globe dislike the Colonel based SOLELY on his clan? When his term office ended in July of 2001, the Colonel massed troops from Mudug and other places and ATTACKED other cities in his own clan's homeland! Is that not a fact? Did he not attack Garoowe, Qardho, and onto Boosaaso in 2001? LOL I give up bro. Have a nice one!
  18. Yeah, the old fart wasn't in Somalia when the "mass murders" took place. But he sure was there to order the killing of a Garoowe businessman. Read below: http://www.reliefweb.int/w/rwb.nsf/9ca65951ee22658ec125663300408599/ab1dd296be8da8b485256b45005ece26?OpenDocument And the Suldan that was also executed by the Colonel's personal guards: http://www.hamarey.com/index.php/article/articleview/730/1/8/ Quit trying to erase history. You'll only make a fool of yourself. Peace.
  19. I just wanna clarify on the point of Cabdullahi Yusuf and his capacity as leader in Somalia's Northeast, i.e. Puntland. I hope the staunch CY supporters are familiar with the historical fact that, prior to the 1998 creation of 'Puntland,' the Northeast was relatively peaceful and led by the SSDF Central Committee. The point is: the Northeast has always been a place of peace with or without Cabdullahi Yusuf as 'leader.' And don't even get me started on how illegitimate his so-called leadership is. Only reason he's even alive is because people are tired of fighting the old fart. That's to say, his opposition in Puntland cares far too much for the interests of peace and prosperity than for political hunger!
  20. LOL This gotta be a propaganda campaign. I don't think writing words on the Internet can erase Cabdullahi Yusuf's past! Religious? The guy arrested innocent civilians, shaved their heads and said that they were terrorists! Leave the propaganda at home yo. Real talk.
  21. How much do Abdullahi Yusuf & Dr Galaydh pay to buy your views?
  22. I think everyone clearly understood his message of regaining control of our land. However, that's an idea most of us Somalis are ALREADY familiar with. Hence, why most of the responses caught on to the 'secular tradition' bit. Like I said, he comes across to me like an appeaser. And if there's something I dislike, it's those who live their lives by the standards of others.
  23. Ah, I guess I was jus surfin the net when I came across this piece: http://www.halganews.com/0804/1/Ardaydii%20U%20horaysay%20oo%20Manta.htm It's wonderful to see people succeeding in so many different ways. NOTE: 3. Jaamacadaha Dalka, camuud oo ugu horeysay waxa la bilaabay 1998, waxana lagu bilaabay arday dhan 120 arday, Maantana ardayda Jaamacadda Camuud iyo Hargeysa dhigataa wa 941 Arday, tirada Macalimiintuna isugeyn waa 76 Macallin, kuwaas oo lix ka mid ay yihiin ajaanib. 70 out of 76 professors are Soomaali! That's a very low proportion, which can only mean that plenty of people have returned from the Diaspora! Take notes folks!
