Assalamu Alaikum I hope this e-mail reaches u in ur best state of body.. soul .. & Imaan (faith) In an African Forest A man once passed through a forest in Africa, walking at his leisure smelling the flowers and admiring the beauty of the place and wondering at the way the sunrays fingered their way through the dense branches. When suddenly he Oheard the sound of fast approaching danger that was loud and frightening. When he turned, it was to face a large lion charging at him. The lion's thin waist made evident his hunger. With the lion chasing him, the man's heart nearly leaped out at the sight of it all, and so he started to run for his life. The lion was about to catch up with him when the man came upfront with a well. Then with a mighty leap he jumped into the well and ended up dangling in the heart of the well hanging onto a rope. The lion's voice eventually quieted; but then soon heard the hissing of a snake that had a giant head and a long body which came from somewhere below him. Just as the man was thinking of how what to do about the lion and the snake, a black mouse and a white one climbed up to where the rope was attached and started to nibble away at the rope. The man was petrified and so started to shake the rope hoping to get rid of the mice. As he did so the rope began to swing and knocking him against the walls. The man started to feel something wet and sticky come into contact with the sides as he banged against the walls. The man licked the substance only to find that it was honey; the type made by bees in the forests and mountains. The honey thought was so sweet and delicious that he continued to do so and forgot the situation he was in. Suddenly... The man woke up???!! For it was all just a horrible dream!!! So the man decided he should get his dream translated. So he went to meet a religious scholar (one knowledgeable in the translation of dreams). He told the scholar of his dream. The scholar laughed and said: “Don’t you know its interpretation The man said he didn’t. So the scholar replied: “the lion that was chasing you was the angel of death and the well with the snake in it is your grave and the two mice are the nights and the days that are depleting form you life” The man asked, “And how about the honey?” The scholar replied: “That is the sweet taste of life that is distracting you and made you forget that death, & day of judgment are just behind you" Is there anyone who will reflect before it is Too Late??? Sweet Dreams !! Wa Assalamu Alaikum

This is awesome. It really is worth a read, to challenge your thinking a little. The cheerful little girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box. "Oh please, Mommy. Can I have them? Please, Mommy, please?" Quickly the mother checked the back of the little foil box and then looked back into the pleading blue eyes of her little girl's upturned face. "A dollar ninety-five. That's almost $2.00. If you really want them, I'll think of some extra chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them for yourself. Your birthday's only a week away and you might get another crisp dollar bill from Grandma." As soon as Jenna got home, she emptied her penny bank and counted out 17 pennies. After dinner, she did more than her share of chores and she went to the neighbor and asked Mrs. Mc James if she could pick dandelions for ten cents. On her birthday, Grandma did give her another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the necklace. Jenna loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown up. She wore them everywhere, Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed. The only time she took them off was when she went swimming or had a bubble bath. Mother said if they got wet, they might turn her neck green. Jenna had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read her a story. One night as he finished the story, he asked Jenna, "Do you love me?" "Oh yes, daddy. You know that I love you." "Then give me your pearls." "Oh, daddy, not my pearls. But you can have Princess, the white horse from my collection, the one with the pink tail. Remember, daddy? The one you gave me. She's my very favorite." "That's okay, Honey, daddy loves you. Good night." And he brushed her cheek with a kiss. About a week later, after the story time, Jenna's daddy asked again, "Do you love me?" "Daddy, you know I love you." "Then give me your pearls." " Oh Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my baby doll. The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is beautiful and you can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper". "That's okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one. Daddy loves you." And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss. A few nights later when her daddy came in, Jenna was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed Indian-style. As he came close, he noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her cheek. "What is it, Jenna? What's the matter?" Jenna didn't say anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she opened it, there was her little pearl necklace. With a little quiver, she finally said, "Here, daddy, this is for you." With tears gathering in his own eyes, Jenna's daddy reached out with one hand to take the dime-store necklace, and with the other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Jenna. He had them all the time. He was just waiting for her to give up the dime-store stuff so he could give her the genuine treasure. So it is with our Allah Almighty. He is waiting for us to give up the cheap things in our lives so that he can give us beautiful treasures. Isn't Allah great? Are you holding onto things that Allah wants you to let go of? Are you holding on to harmful or addictions, habits and activities that you have come so attached to that it seems impossible to let go? Sometimes it is so hard to see what is in the other hand but do believe this one thing ... .....Allah will never take away something without giving you something better in its place.

asalaamu alai'kum... firstly to the above sistah thank you for doing what i was hoping to do which was correct those who by mistake added characters of Allah rather then the names.. but Al-Hasib is considered as a name but the postee misunderstood the meaning which should have been al Hisaab (the Accounter) may Allah reward you for your efforts, i would like to include a name of Allah, AN-NAFI (THE CREATOR OF GOOD) wa asalaam!

first time in a long time that i've actually been here ... well its good to see that we still have our islamic forum flowing nicely still... Asalamu alai'kum... dear brother and sisters ... we all have our ways of getting up for the morning prayer i mean, as the brother or sister mentioned "it separates the munafiquun from the mu'mineen". A hadith that i heard said that if you hold up ur hands up as if u was making a dua' and then u read suratul-fatiha, suratul-naas, suratul-falaq and suratul 'ahad... After reading these surahs u wipe ur hands over ur body as if u was creaming it or washing it...you will if u make it to the next morning wake up! just one more small point... in order to wake up for the morning prayer it all depends on what u do after isha, if u sit and increase ur imaan... then u will surely wake up insha allah... but if u listen to music or watch TV then u will have problems... all i reccommend is that before you sleep every night spend at least 15 mins reading al-Quran ... until next time (insha Allah) ! peace be upon you all!!!! insha Allah... may Allah make things easy for all of Us!...

jakal-allah...sister may allah increase ur knowledge and imaan too ... !

salamz ma fellow somali brothas n sistas ... i have an article i would like to share .. hope you enjoy it as much as i have .... W/salam... Remember the favours of Allah upon you and how they surround you from above and below - indeed, from every direction. "And if you would count the graces of Allah, never could you be able to count them." (Qur'an 14:34) Health, safety, nourishment, clothing, air, and water - these all point to the world being yours, yet you do not realize it. You possess all that life has to offer, yet remain ignorant. "He has completed and perfected His Graces upon you, [both] apparent [i.e. Islamic Monotheism, and the lawful pleasures of this world, including health, good looks, etc.] and hidden [i.e. one's faith in Allah, guidance for doing righteous deeds and also the pleasures and delights of the Hereafter in Paradise, etc.]." (Qur'an 31:20) You have at your disposal two eyes, a tongue, lips, two hands, and two legs. "Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both [Jinns and men] deny?" (Qur'an 55:13) Can you picture yourself walking without feet? Should you take it lightly that you slumber soundly while misery hinders the sleep of many? Should you forget that you fill yourself with both delicious dishes and cool water while the pleasure of good food and drink is impossible for some, due to sickness and disease? Consider those faculties of hearing and seeing with which you have been endowed. Look at your healthy skin and be grateful that you have been saved from diseases that attack it. Reflect on your powers of reasoning and remember those that suffer from mental ailments. Would you sell your ability to hear and see for the weight of Mount Uhud in gold, or your ability to speak for huge castles? You have been given abundant favours, yet you feign ignorance. Notwithstanding warm bread, cool water, easy sleep, and good health, you remain despondent and depressed. You think about what you do not have and are ungrateful for what you have been given. You are troubled by a loss in wealth, yet you have the key to happiness and many blessings. Contemplate and be thankful. "And also in your ownselves [are signs], will you not then see?" (Qur'an 51:21) Reflect upon yourself, your family, your friends, and the entire world that is around you. "They recognize the grace of Allah, yet they deny it." (Qur'an 16:83)

Zizu will win the World Futebol Player of the year!
NoMaD_CrEEpA replied to Abid Abass's topic in General
Fair enough you bre's talk highly of ronaldo but ma honest opinion is that da award should go to Michael Ballack (germany)(leverkusen)... da guy got to 3 finals n his team almost won da league with his goals.. n even though he didn't win anything he still managed to score 45+ goals from midfield ... the most ronaldo deserves is his golden boot thats it... even though he is gonna win da player of the year... he does not deserve it ... i mean what about rivaldo who set up da chances for ronaldo n scored 6 goals in da world cup... naah man its all fixed ... same as Spain got cheated by the koreans peace ... -

Wow, i'm amazed that .. people actually take time out to reply to ma topic...lol.. kiddin wallahi i appereciate your time.. n effort But back the discussion i think most of you have grasped on the point that i was trying to make... without... having to name people that were spot on n people that actually... raised a whole new topic.. i just wanna say that, i did not start this topic to criticise people... i put it here for the purpose of creating awareness. i could easily walk around the streets of london n tell people .. 'look don't go to this n this jam, rave, ruwayad or whatever you wanna call it' but... me alone will not make a difference that is why if we can influence the people around us... say friends or even family... that attend these events on a regular and not just Eid jams... we would go a long way to helpin a lot of people... To help those who haven't quite understood me, imagine if you may ( you don't have to close your eyes for this... but you can if you want...)..lol one day your walking home... and suddenly you rememba that mum ran out of flour to make the 'samboose'.. (and you would be upset if you had no samboose for 'afuur') ..lol so on your way to the supermarket and you meet a friend or relative ( or those who don't have friends, like me) and they said to you i wanna commit suicide i've had enough of this life ... and you had 30 days to safe them... when would be the best time to try and safe them be and why?? answer: is in everybodies reply... plus in one particular persons (RM) I think we'll keep the story short ... but y'all know what i'm crakin at right? ... by the way for those who are still wonderin about their samboose... wake up... i had to get your attention some how...lol... do take care now people... n ramadan kariim

Why are Entertainers paid more than Educaters

My sentiments exactly, Sugah! i say education is for life...and knowledge is Power... anyways, we somalis can't relate to rap stars or movie stars. NoMaD_CrEEpA replied to Captivating_SouL's topic in General
Sup.. people.. ramadan kareem, i've never realised this topic was even here... ma bad!! to da sista that started it.. .. anyways from what i read it seems everyone is against entertainers... Correct me if i'm wrong but don't you think some entertainers deserve what they get... To put it in another perspective .. how many of us would be willing to watch a teacher teach or a doctor walk round the hostipal attending to different patients.. Answer .. NONE of US.. therefore its fair to say we contribute to these people's luxury lifes... either by buying their CDs, watching them on TV, going to the 'theater' as many of you US people(would understand) or simply going out to buy a merchandise of your favourite sport-person, rapper and etc.. i totally agree wid u 'B_S' but if educated people were suddenly paid millions to do what they do... how many would you say would carry on with their jobs...? Not many right... imagine if there was one somali person as sportsman/person (don't wanna be sexist to da sisters who are hoping to be sports entertainers..lol)..i think we would all support that person... wouldn't we?? aight i'ma stop now coz i gotta go but... until da next time ma peepz...Stay true... B_S wlc...lol (better late then neva..lol) -
Jazakumul-Allah...brother very useful article.

Allah Almighty declares in the Quran: 'Verily, [O you who believe in Me,] this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: worship, then Me [alone]' (21:92). He further explains: 'All believers are but brethren' (49:10). As for the Prophet sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam, he clarified the nature of the relationship between Muslims in this famous hadith: 'The example of the Muslims in their love and mercy for each other is like the body. If one part is afflicted, all the other parts rally to its aid with fever and sleeplessness.' Today Muslims pass this month of Ramadan in transgression and crises. Capitalism is rife with greed. It directs its hostility against the Islamic world with intellectual onslaughts. The foremost means toward this is through women, wine and other enticements, distractions, luxuries and unlawful amusements. Secularism calls for the separation between the religion and worldly affairs. It seeks to oust Islam from life's stage on the pretext that religion distinguishes between people. In effect, secularism is an atheist ideology that disregards all religions and, therefore, excludes Islam in its entirety from playing any role in human life. Freemasonry, the Jewish creation, has come to destroy religions including Islam. On the surface it appears to be calling for the unity of all people. It has its own means, taboos, emblems and cliques. It operates in secret, has world-wide influence and springs from Zionist origins. Hence today the Islamic nation suffers from intense wounds: Palestine has been stolen from it, Al Aqsa mosque remains a hostage while old men, women and children are slaughtered morning and evening. Yet, Palestine will never be returned to the Muslim lands except by an Islam with the rage of Umar ibn al Khattab, the boldness of Salah al Din and the sincerity of Ibn Taymiya. The Muslim woman is fought against because of her covering, modesty, purity and religion. Our young men are seduced by destructive means, satanic enticements and sensual delights. Evangelism is penetrating the Islamic world from all four directions. Divisions and schisms are widespread among Muslims except those whom Allah has shielded. In the circumstances, what is required is that the Muslim should live for these great issues with his sentiments, wealth and prayers. He should strive to increase awareness among his Muslim brothers of these dangers. The Muslim should work relentlessly to bring about unity within the ranks of his own community. More importantly, the Islamic nation must avoid disputes and internal wrangling that only cause failure; particularly when the news of these calamities that afflict the Islamic world are exposed and become the issues of the day. As a result, no Muslim should despise himself because in every Muslim there is good. Indeed, every Muslim is expected to struggle if he or she is able and to stop making excuses. They must strive with their persons and their wealth. If not, with their wealth and the support of others who spend of their wealth to advance the cause of Islam. They should, at the end of each prayer, in the early hours of the morning, and other times when prayers are answered, implore Allah to establish and grant victory to the Muslims. We must, moreover, all call upon Allah to increase us in piety and God-consciousness because the disasters and calamities that have befallen us are all on account of our sins and shortcomings. 'And do you, now that a calamity has befallen you after you had inflicted twice as much [on your foes], ask yourselves, "How has this come about?" Say: "It has come from your own selves"' (3:165). by..Shaykh `Aa'id Abdullah al-Qarnee... May Allah reward him for his efforts.. Aameen
