personally i think that other races find us prettier. yes i said that. i can't explain it but i get more complements form non-somali's telling me i should be a model. they are also more less expressive than our brothers which i consider a bad aspect. i like hanging out with white/african american males but the thought of ever making them more has never crossed my mind( i'm racist when it comes to my offspring).

i think that this is a very nice poem it makes me more determined not to fall for the notion of love.

i don't think that we sit around just that the issues come to us on thier own or they find us on somaliaonline as for the shah the opposite applies, the older i get the less i drink...

thanx for the post. i think alot of us think about repenting later rather than now. and the idea of the mates for tranquillity has turned into an inescapable sin. my criteria for marraige is someone who has better knowledge about islam than me, and doesn't practice haaram(work..etc..). other than that it's up for grabs and decided by the heart

*my wish is to erase all the westernizing thoughts that go against culture and religion which have become normal to me. *i wish that i can stop the rediculous cycle of praying and than stopping just to start agian *i wish i could look past the life on earth and put my heart in another i wish for infinite things but all my wishes are in vain cause i do nothing to support them. and trust me i critisize my self, but it's one of those things that i deem not imminent at the moment. which i know is condeming in it's self

ok pucca u meant here in north-america. well still there is alot of ignorance here, i like in u.s were people(minority) dropout of shcool and don't really have the knowledge about aids. but i get your point. i think that we don't really pay attention to something until it affects our immidiate circle, so alot of us people just live in self denial, which is ignorant by choice and to me equals stup*d*ty .

hey u said that i was bieng cloudy and i stated a opinion which i think can easily be approved by any person who is on the outside looking in and applying logic, key word bieng logic. don't get me wrong i would really be happy if we had a funtioning college that looked that good in any islamic country. i guess i am a pessimist, and at times those are more needed than the optimists.

What makes you think this project will not be successfull. Clarify your cloudy ideas, make usefull connections and share it with us. if you look at the picture closely i believe that you too shall see this but *the problem with it looking like a mosque to me is that it has a thin wall that it engulfed by windows on all corners and the centers are empty as if for prayer. i believe that if you build a school at least build one that could withstand one battle, and i am speaking of tribal tribulations. and one that doesn’t have a little water bridge that does look real (it looks like the whole thing is tilting). And i never said that this project was not going to go through just that the idea needs to change. This looks like something an architect drew as a rough image that was approved. it also needs to change because the people funding this thing need to see an image that is doable and sustainable in Somalia, which isn't like America were they can build extravagant things with the assurance that it will be protected. And to add to that they don’t even have colleges like that here(at least ones that I have been to). I don’t think that my ideas were cloudy just that u were driven by emotion

it looks too much like a mosque. don't mean to sound unsupportive but it looks too unrealistic. with the bridge and the drive way and well........the whole thing. might as well draw a castle in a wooden clearing. i say if you are going to dream, don't go all the way into the clouds but stay with reality;just draw a building or buildings that do look extradinory forget the rest and use it as maybe... scholarships.

puca.. it's not about them being smart it's the lack of education. proof- some of the men infected are offered virging that are 'supposedly' going to cure them of thier sickness. so do u think that had the families know what it was and how it transmits they would continue that tradition. i think not. -we are all bron with the same brain

axmed_fiqi “I also compared the somalis and the eurpoeans, I found that the eurpoeans have better morals. They dont lie, They respect you. Ofcourse There are also some good apsects of somali culture, They are very talkative and socially good. There is always a portion(no matter who) of the group that will be bad/evil ur pick, and there are Europeans that lie and kill as well as manipulate u just don’t have anything they want . And to stereotype the whole group because u went and saw some old men who’s only life has been that of competing w/ opposing raises…I think that is utterly wrong. U should go to the one’s that are educated and don’t lie or kill for their benefits. The ones that know that there will never be true peace until we all see eachother as brothers and sisters. It has gone now 8 months since I prayed in a mosque, I've taken that desicion in my lifem, To never pray in a mosque with false people whom prey on each other†Don’t stop your payers because of some people that u believe are corrupt, allah says that u never know what is in a persons heart, if their in a bikini and they clam islam u supposed to not counter act that statement. In other words u cant say that the people that u pray next to are corrupt in the matters of heart (religion and morality).

originally by Faarax Brown" "Besides that’s toooooooo much power to be handed to a woman, they wouldn’t even know what to do with it I tell ya. I mean having complete control over 4men is just biologically[Emotionally] impossible for a woman. They cant handle one husband, how the *Beep* could they handle 4men?." woow!!! hold up bro who says we can't handle four men. i mean just look at child caring, we can take care of infants clean cook and put up with a man who is not competant of doing even half of that with out rushing for the door. it isn't a issue of can we do that but rather do we want four more over grown boys to take care of....

It all starts when a Nomad is born to a somali couple, and begins to learn the ropes, values that will stick with the Nomad throughout life, later, if the Nomad is carried across oceans, a new set of values are inherited from the new surroundings, looking back, the Nomad is emotionally attached to the old, challenged by the present and sobered by the new realities of Islam as a wholesome faith transcending time and space, now, depending on the sex of the Nomad, a plethora of personalities emerge as a result of these ingredients, some very contradictory, some compromising, yet some unreasonably wacky, welcome to a journey in the inner realm of the mind of a Somali Nomad. isn't that called cognitive dissonance, when your beliefs and your actions or even two ideas contradict. god i hate it when that happens, and living in western society it happens alot.

i just wanted to add a more realistic turn. to me a man coming out of the blue to preach his undying love just didn't seem real and was too loose.

wow! manslughter that is pretty far don't ya think? just think of the poor kid, he must be devastated. probably won't ever kiss another again. and he has to live with the fact that he killed his girl(that's terrible enough). but ur right if anyone does get blamed it's him but maybe for neglegence *another light that islam does protect us

wierd thing is he ate it like four hours before he kissed her! so how do you keep the.... substances of the peanute butter in your mouth for that long?
-
think about: what about this lady i can't live with out? in other words what has she got that the other doesn't? also why would she date a married man if she wasn't willing to be married to one? in conclusion stick with your wife and the other will with time if you permit yourself leave your system. she is a conditioned response and u can un learn that response. *i always blame the women that enter a marriage rather than the men.

what is this a form of?
