I have seen posters of her that you can buy in Somali shops: Who is she?

It's very rare to see a convincing case of a credible portrayal of a different culture by a writer from a different background, this is one of those rare cases(atleast that is what i have deduced so far from the extracts)

I'm afraid juxa, that guy in the story was healthy as a (Duck?), and still he suffered a heart attack. I'm very suspicious of anything 'unusual', and immediately make an appointment with the doctor even if it's just paranoia.(like the time i mistook a small lump next to me ear(TMJ) that is visually undetectable for a fully fledged tumor and went beserk) Ever since the healthy & beautiful mother of a female friend of mine from Holland, discovered a small lump and then died of cancer in such a short amount of time a few years ago, i have been paranoid.(this friend btw has a famous hot sister)

Aaliyah this is why there are multiple members with stars(*) next to their names lol Blessed, the backstory of the necklaces and their historic usage is what quintupled my appreciation for this piece of jewelry, but the ruthless fashionist Chocolate&Honey made me afraid of ever presenting this as a gift.

Nice potential film location, suprised this architectual gem hasn't been exploited yet by Hollywood.

Holy sh.t i googled my age category: Heart attack leaves 23-year-old and his doctors stunned COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. _ It barely even drew my attention from my computer screen at first, the faint flutter in my chest. Maybe something I ate for lunch, or a muscle I strained on a rowing machine. Never mind that I hadn't eaten lunch or exercised in three days. After four hours, the pain, constriction and numbness took on its own personality, pulsing and dissipating in shorter and shorter cycles. I decided that for the first time in 21 years, I should go to the hospital. In the Penrose Hospital emergency room, I thought of stories I'd read about heart attack symptoms. I discarded them. So did my doctors. Within hours, I was released because I'm 23 years old and healthy-looking. The next night, feeling fine, I went out to drink and shoot pool. The night after that, my chest pain returned. I tried to sleep it off, aided by the antacids my doctor had assured me would kill the pain. It was a dull, persistent squeezing that proved impossible to sleep through, so I began taking more medications, waiting to be fine again. A little improvement? Maybe. But was the pain completely gone? Hesitation. Could I lie to myself? No. No. At 12:30 a.m., in a restless panic, I called a friend to drive me back to the hospital. This time, I knew the way to the emergency wing, knew the check-in procedures, knew what to tell the nurses. This time, I was bewildered. I waited to be sent home. No such luck. This was my heart attack. http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-18984241.html

I'm feeling a weird sensation in the left area of my chest since i woke up, either it's the result of benchpressing, or something more sinister. anyone ever done one of those full body CT scans? God forbid anyone here has anything, but if you do(and your unaware of it) then a scan could enable you to 'prevent or destroy'.

Originally posted by Che -Guevara: Adam...What's the point of the thread? You haven't really explained what you are going for? Product of a personal experience (maybe i should have picked a different title), last Saturday when i went with friends to see Predators, on the way back in the centrum there was this guy who is a notorious alcoholist/dealer/thief that tried to lecture friends of mine on what is haraam and what isn't(i.e going to the cinema), and how them being with us is a great sin(because in our group of five there were two males), now that Ramadan was approaching us. The other guy with us, whose love interest tried to debate this nutter, told him to ''piss off fool'', and we left to eat some kebab. A day later i see this same guy dealing drugs and tada i created this topic. I prefer keeping personal anecdotes of any kind on issues such as this to myself, but this time my fingers were itching for the keyboard.

Khayr lol you don't even know the difference between 'hypocrite' and 'munafiq'. Norf what are forums intended for? Share opinions right? I have no problems with individuals who 'disagree' with my opinion, or disliked my topic title(i have changed it accordingly), but what does my perceived personality have to do with this topic? Drama King? lol i stay fifty feet away from all the ''member is this, member is that'' topics, and did i kill someone on this forum for people to claim i'm different than before? You would think i was somekind of prodigal son or something lol

That existing member would be you lol, once you use a specific name, then change it for a new one, you can never use the old name again in the future.

Are some of you people really this butt-hurt whenever someone shares a personal observation with you in real life?, and spare me the psycho-analysation of me as a person, i'm not interested in knowing what you think of me, none of you really know me, so let's not pretend you do, but i guess i'm not popular with some folk anymore lol

No wonder non-muslims have such an easy time offending the muslim community, when one of their own members points out an immense period of hypocrisy coinciding with this month, he is accussed of committing an act of 'blasphemy' If i created a topic with the title ''Mosque of Darkness'' and then spoke off a specific evil mosque somewhere in the world, would anyone of you actually claim it's an ''insult''? and yes people who drink and party a day before Ramadan, then observe it for an entire month as practicing muslims, only to immediately revert to their previous lifestyle when it's over are hypocrites!!

A book about Somali art called ''Somalia in word and image'' has really beautiful pictures of historic gold and silver necklaces and other jewelry. These type of necklaces were sold by our female warrior ancestors to fund the resistance movements of their fathers, husbands and sons fighting multiple imperial powers. The mere sight of such a necklace on the person i love gives me goosebumps, my very own warrior princess. Ja, ja to each their own. Aaliyah how many times have you changed your name?(i know Pot -> Kettle) lol@Aaliyyah, you're running out of choices, are you trying to prevent any new Aaliyah's from signing up with that name?

Every crooked Moroccan, Turk, Somali, Bengali is goodie goodie, shax shax, Masha-allah for one month. Crime figures plummet, alcohol consumption falls by 35%, clubs are half empty, lots of European girls can't find their exotic boyfriends, LMAO! FILM IN DEVELOPMENT: ''The Month the Earth stood on its head'', release date:2011, starring Will Smith and Jessica Alba in a Byzantine Burkha.

Man, are we collectively as a people going to hell or what? I just read the situation of our Maroodis, Geranooks and other lovely fauna of Somalia, and what a shame. We went from having one of the largest Elephant populations in Africa to one of near extinction. Either we are on the first bus to hell, or we have been granted this Kingdom of Pain, so that each man or woman intervening/preventing this has a certified ticket to Heaven. (Ingredients of a good story methinks)
