  1. LOL@ NGONGE, big brother keep talking about Iraq and Afghanistan, Xiinfaniin has found his paradise: No isbaaro can stop this Caravan, the renaissance is on a forward march!
  2. One of my favorites to win is Abdiweli, but if he decides to share his bed with those two other entities in the title - against Somali interests - then another term for Sheikh Sharif is in order. I prefer a lameduck president over one that is intelligent and efficient but working for others. He better step out of the shadows and repulse those rumours, they will be damaging, because all Somalis agree when it comes to the sea perimeter. We only have to stall them for another five years until the Somali Navy is back to patrol those waters, uncontested, like in the prewar era. 'Love Somalia' if you're reading this, you know what you have to do!
  3. There are certain lines you must never cross, one is hitting/humiliating your wife/husband, the other is saying something you will regret. Whatever connection you once had with him/her is immediately broken, sometimes the damage is permanent. And why the hell would you pretend to hate someone you love? LOL, keep going Narniah and you'll end up all alone singing this:

  6. You guys update it, I lost interest, you will find hundreds of engineers, and researchers at linkedin, just type in stereotypical Somali names. Apophis;862314 wrote: I think if Somali companies invested in research the country would become a leader in Africa. Somalia could become a leader in Africa when it comes to astronomy. There is a reason why the Soviet cosmonauts trained in Somalia for their outerspace missions. The sky at night in Somalia is excellent for observatories and telescopes because its so clear. Somali companies could also pool their resources and invest in satellites, this would help us immensely in terms of communications, but also to predict droughts.

This was between 1994-1995, there is no doubt in my mind if these skinheads had gotten their hands on me I wouldn't be alive today, because they had bats and knives and one made a death sign towards me (I was a child but I definitely knew what that meant). The brutal beat-down they received from my male relatives is what deter them. However, Somalis aren't really doing themselves any favors for example, just look at one of the most popular topics on this forum, completely filled with the scum of our society collected by Nin-Yaaban. A handy list for any skinhead wanting to justify their hatred for our community.
  8. I'm not a Swede, so why mention me for updates? Having read the article, the leaders of that tiny community played it wrong, because now that supremacist gang will feel like it has achieved a 'victory' and this could snowball to the bigger areas like Malmo, so they must stand their ground and shame the authorities if they don't act (here is where the organisational skills and media outlets of the diaspora comes in handy). I experienced something similar when I was 7, a group of adult skinheads used to chase me, until my father, brothers, uncles gave them a taste of their own medicine and I was never chased again. In the end, rebuilding Somalia and becoming a major oil-exporter would put a swift end to this treatment, not just in the form repatriation, but also in the form of the Swedish government being more pro-active now that we have something they desperately need. Today we don't.
  9. 300km of coastline - millions of tons of fish = worth billions. + potential tourism. Gold and Gemstones = worth billions. Coal reserves = worth billions. Millions of livestock = worth billions when converted into milk products and pre-packed meat. Deepsea port, and several minor ones = worth billions if turned into a hub. Oil reserves = worth billions. What a joke, it should have been Somali NGOs going to Europe and the Americas to help with the economic crisis, instead of the reverse.

    Love is....?

Love is a necessity to happiness, it's multidimensional, there is the 'love of your life', your 'loved ones', etc. It's a beautiful feeling, love can make you see this gloomy world with a rosy tint. When I haven't seen her for more than two days, the day I do see her from a distance, I run towards her like a lost puppy lol

Most stores, hotels, restaurants and the like had original Soomaali names. Dagaalada sokeeye not only killed our brothers and sisters, it also killed our creative ways, dimming Afsoomaaliga iyo horumarkuu gaaray. Now it is all about 'baraka, mubaarak, barakaad, towfiiq, bismilaahi, maashallaah, mustaqbal' and the likes, as though in ajir dheeraad ah laga helaayo . There is a studio called Balanbaalis in Nayroobi, though. Nayroobi istuudiyahaan ayaa heysto. LMAO, how sad.
  12. A nice guest-house, but definitely not something you would think of when you hear the word 'hotel'!
  13. Nacnac - a Somali version of Jannmin. Jalaato Paradise - A seaside Icecream shop. Macaano - Cake-shop, Somali and international cakes. Lamaane - Nice couple's retreat, palm-trees, pools, the whole shebang! Maanta Express - Cornershop selling magazines and newspapers, a small post-office incorporated.
  14. The type that would fit a nice restaurant, resort or hotel. A lot of Somali entrepreneurs choose the most insane names for their restaurants, shops, hotels, etc that the average Farah or Xalimo on the streets of Mogadishu, Hargeisa or Bosaso wouldn't even know the answer to if you asked them. Why, when there are many beautiful Somali names available which are easy to the ears of both Somalis and foreigners? For example: Shimbir(o) - Bird(s), there is something angelic about that word, a sense of freedom, like a wandering beautiful spirit. Good name for a beauty salon, other fitting titles would be -Qalanjo -Quruxley -Ayada Balanbalis - Butterfly, it means youth, it means live in the moment, it represents a small space of time, it means you only live once. Good name for a school, an amusement park, or something related to teenagers, like a bowling/arcade corner. Malab - Honey, its sweet and universally loved, not a bad name for a restaurant or a cafe/coffeeshop. Jaceyl - Love, this would fit a luxury hotel or restaurant exclusive for couples and newlyweds. Also, when I observe naming conventions of leisure spots in the West and Asia, they also have a habit of combining two unrelated words that become a memorable title, for example Starbucks Cafe, Pizza Hut, Six-Flags, etc. In Somalia I would like to see combination names like 'Jaranjaro Inn', 'Pizza Xaax' or 'Xidigo Cafe'. They are easy to understand for tourists, and for the locals it will be something authentically homegrown yet with a cosmopolitan flare. Share more ideas.
  15. His mother is Laila Ali, who could stomp Alpha Blondy vertically into the ground, and have him pop up back somewhere in China lol, of course the family is okay with it. 'Niggerised' kulaha, I dare you say that in front of her:

  17. Somalis should stop feeding their children nuclear bombs for breakfast and having them wear jeans and skirts impaled with nails. It will only result in a communital projection of negativity that could implode the world into oblivion. It's the fathers, all three million of them should have been inside that alley doing nothing, then maybe the killer would have done nothing as well, it's not his fault its the fathers. No its the mothers, all three million of them, why must they always wear cuunsi, don't they know therein lies the formula that will be the undoing of the Somali community? Why can't we be like the 6.9 billion other people on Earth and live life without a single murder each day, without a single problem? Why are all the murders on this planet only happening amongst Somalis? The end is clearly near, run people, run. AUN Hanad Osman.
