MMA i hope this University starts producing on the same level(or higher) as the Old University before the war, same with the other Universities in other parts of the country the more Somalis are educated (and become less myopic and sheepish) and start thinking for themselves the sooner they will clean the Political landscape of today Insha-allah
  6. Somalia should have been out of the handicap stage it currently is in, same way Chinese movies of today are far superior to the old stereotypical one but Ali and Awrala looks promising Somalia used to host every year since 1962 the Annual African Film Festival in Mogadishu up untill the civil war

Some fakin fighting mooryaaans dhexdooda u galnay. What was amazing was both were hired by the university, one group protecting the building, and the other guardian staff accompanying the envoy we were with. Good to know nothing happened. 9. Paul B Henze is a Anti-Somalist and a former CIA agent on the pay-roll of Meles Zenawi so his comments mean little to me cause he is obviously biased if he were not, he would not like a fool have ignored the Somali Empires like the Ajuraan Empire that defeated the Oromo conquerors(who then devastated the Ethiopian Highlands and even Adal) and the Portuguese who never managed to conquer the Ajuraan Province ''Muzaffar Mogadishu''. This Somali Empire was larger than modern Uganda,Kenya and Eritrea combined so if this doesn't qualify as a Somali Nation then they can keep that concept of a ''nation'' to themselves then you have the Geledian Empire that incorporated the entire Southern half of Somalia aswell as enclaves in North east Kenya and under the Sultans Yusuf Muhammad and Ahmed Yusuf forced Zanzibari arab governors north of Lamu to pay tribute and send expeditions against the Nabahan Arabs of the Pate Kingdom when it invaded Siyu then there is Adal originating from the Somali word Awdal taken up by the 13th century scholar Al Damashiqi and was spread throughout the Islamic world. At it's height this state included northwest Somalia,Djibouti, the whole Ethiopian Highlands and parts of Eritrea. Today people like 'Henze' are trying as hard as they can to Ethiopianize this state and delete the Somali influence, but they simply can't go around the fact that the Ifatine Kingdom's capital was Saylac which then after it's interregnum became Adal the core of the state was Somali, the bulk of the army was Somali, Ahmed gurey was a Somali, his nephew the second conqueror nur ibn Mujahid was a Somali , his father in law Mahfuz of Saylac was a Somali this really bothers them and the wikipedia article with all those Ethiopianists in it is evidence of this. the problem is there aren't any Somali historians with ''balls'' and with this i mean Historians who are not apologetic or submissive to Eurocentric or other revisionist crap like the vommit from P.B Henze. this is why i respect African American historians they really show balls and currently the whole Eurocentric establishment is covering it's *** because of the pressure there receiving from African historians they honestly inspired me years back and this is one of the reasons why i've taken that direction with my studies cause there is a clear naked aggression on our history similar to what is happening in our homeland. when i have my qualifications no more of this submissiveness and myths like Somali have no indiginous writing systems(what is Wadaad's writing,Borama and Osmanya scripts?) from so-called experts or other acrobatic literature hiding the real insulting intention behind it Insha-allah (btw today's situation is similar to pre-Ahmed Gurey era where petty Muslim leaders refused to back Mahfuz against the Abyssinians with some even co-operating with them( kinda like what happened in dec 2006) against the Adalites. Ahmed rose to power in the army and killed all the rebels trying to become sultan and put his own leader there. I wouldn't be suprised if right now a Ahmed Gurey II is being groomed by a revengefull Somali woman, more power to her)

  12. Fck him i don't care if he wrote a Somali Hamlet catch that dirty pedophile and castrate him and shame on those who supported him, i have a sister of the same age and i would have literally burned the whole crowd if they did a stunt like after a disgusting rape support kulaha wa he is a dirty basterd when will Somalis stop supporting dirt and start loving those who love Somali people and Somalia?
  13. To the more senior members who grew up in Somalia's stable era, i have a question; what type of cartoons did you and other children watch on tv? were they all foreign i.e Tom&Jerry, bugs bunny et cetera? or were there any Somali made ones?

Good stuff,MMA and Northerner insha-allah they will succeed! Rahima Somali children need to explore new arenas, one particular article about a young Somali girl who is a student at one of the best aviation schools in the world said she was striving to become a astronaut!(and she has a good chance of becoming one) that type of ambition puts a smile on my face because it compliments Somali people the same way negative individuals shame Somali people 'collectively' because they are ''somali'' so it would be cool to have a Somali playing in let's say wimbeldon or doing that weird cricket stuff that Indians and Australians love diversity! but this doesn't mean every single Somali parent suddenly has to take their children to Sporting academies, no that is not neccessary and my point with this topic was simply to illustrate Somali success and this can be achieved in any field including the ones you stated as long as Somali children are inspired and yes a swimmer can inspire an accountant despite their differences Just picture Somalia winning the world cup of 2010 and then imagine the impact it would have on every single Somali individual regardless of their personal occuppation or location

I see a great future for upcoming Somali professionals, cause there are many currently playing for different Uk youth teams, i really hope they break through hard so my little brothers and nephews can put their posters up instead of Ronaldo or Zidane one of the most promising rising Somali stars Size doesn’t matter for Ayub KUANTAN: Looks can be deceiving. Seventeen-year-old Ayub Daud is one example. The Somalia-born midfielder looks frail but is full of energy and he is the one running the engine room for Italian giants Juventus in the ongoing Champions Youth Cup. In the Group B match against Qatar on Thursday, Ayub was all over the field and showed off his wide array of skills. Unfortunately. Juventus could only manage a 0-0 draw. Ayub was recruited by the club at the age of nine. He is grateful to the Italian side for giving him a chance to show off his skills. “I will repay the club for nurturing me from young into what I’m today,” said Ayub after a training session at the Kuantan Municipal Council field yesterday. Ayub is a huge fan of France and Barcelona striker Thierry Henry. He wants to follow in the former Arsenal striker’s footsteps. “I like his style of play so much that I am wearing the same No. 14 jersey,” said Ayub, whose father Daud Hussein played for the Somali national team. -The Star MANCHESTER United take on AC Milan, and Juventus face Flamengo in the Champions Youth Cup semi-finals tonight and as has been the case, the teams that adapt faster to the playing conditions, should have the advantage at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil. The Under-19 tournament, being held for the first time in Malaysia, gives the future stars of the respective teams to strut their stuff and some like United’s Michael Barnes and Febian Brandy have been doing so. United edged pre-tournament favourites Barcelona 1-0 on Wednesday to make the last four and once again will be looking to Barnes and Brandy to lead the way tonight. But United’s defence, yet to be truly tested, will have to shadow AC Milan striker Pierre Aubameyang closely as the tournament’s leading scorer found the mark twice against Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals. With five goals to his credit and with two more matches to go, Aubameyang is the leading candidate for the Roberto Bettega Trophy awarded to the tournament’s top scorer. "We know what United are capable off. They have come to this tournament as one of the favourites and have a solid team, but we have a game plan. "We will do what we need to do to remain in the tournament," said AC Milan manager Filippo Galli. The second semi-final should see a clash of Italian tight play against Brazilian flair. Juventus, who have the best defensive record in the CYC, will not have it easy against an entertaining Flamengo, but the Italians can depend on their Somalian striker Ayub Daud to get the goals. Ayub scored twice against Inter Milan in the quarter-finals. But Flamengo coach Goncalves Adilio is not unduly worried and said: "All the four teams are equally good or else they would not have come this far. We just have to play our game, and play it right." Source Peacenow as a Somali-Italian do you have more info on him? BTW I posted the topic here because the last time someone visited the Sports section was in 1998
  18. If only the old men back home didn't mess up in the past and ''continue'' messing up in the present we wouldn't have to expect more lost brothers and sisters in the future cause more lost souls will surface
  19. I know this white girl who was my neighbour for a long time, a real smart person and good looking too but if you see who she's dating acudubillah multiple factors contributed to this shift from University student to crack-addict/alcoholism and ugly freakazoid boyfriend in my child hood friend's case it was family and friends who messed her up, something similar might be at work here and therefore she's a easy prey Parents who put to much pressure on their daughters will eventually lose them, my parents were quite chill and none of my sisters felt like they were in a prison and therefore there was no need for a rebellion which usually means: partying, ajanabi boyfriends etc etc my sisters never did any of these things and masha-allah they turned out fine and finished Uni and are married to Somali men i bet this poor girl had a demonic like mother, if my daughter turned out to be Ayaan Hirsi ali, i would leave her alone and let her settle these issue's with Allah swt(better yet there is a chance she might later on in life return to the right path), anything crazy on my part would have more to do with ''pride''(a sin) than anything islamic which is why i would let her ''be'', and on a safe distance try to get her back to the right path but i've never heard of a son being tricked into a trip to Somalia, why does everything have to be so exaggerated when it comes to daughters? like there sins are unforgivable
