  1. what happened to good ol' barriis? seriously Siren
  2. Before I saw this vid I didn't really know what they ment with 'autism' but the moment I saw little sharmarkey I immediately remembered a childhood martii and her son who was my age. He would scream/laugh/cry all in the boundaries of 1 min and i never understood it.
  3. Y'all protest too much, me thinks - I personally love the attention i get from the fine Somali ladies my age, it's a boost kinda like red bull but without the weird aftertaste. Also stop the attacks on our elders please, you guys make it seem like every elderly Somali man spends his day looking at you, talk about some delusional grandeur sheesh  . Maybe he is looking at that elderly Somali lady behind you(old friend? new love?), the one you guys trampled on and pushed to the back when you were running for the spotlight. Maybe his eyesight is bad and you resemble one of his grand daughters?. Maybe he's looking to hitch his good looking grandsons with one of you?(did i just hear a SOL lady call herself 'Istubid'?? yeah I did!! better luck next time abaayo!) Or or or maybe you got some barriis left on your face and he wants to alert you about it?. It's a very complex situation that needs to be studied further and indepth so we can determine what we are actually dealing with. (lol) ps Ibti what? are you challenging my championship belt for butchering Af-Somali? i am the greatest, remember that!
  4. Why the double standards dear sisters?

  6. Poor Lady It's belly was bulging - it looked like a great big coconut was inside it. I knew straight away that it had ate Bindi. "I felt terrible - it's not very nice at all to think my little dog went that way." She told the Northern Territory News that three-year-old Bindi was a lively and agile dog - and was shocked the reptile managed to strike her. "She was a little smarty pants and would race away if she knew you were going to bath her or take her to the vet or something," she added. "She was always darting all over the place. I don't know how she didn't realise this thing was creeping up on her." Doctor David "Therefore, theoretically the weight of the snake is around 10kg, meaning that the olive has consumed 60% of its body weight in a single meal. "It really is amazing - it's equivalent to a 100kg man eating a 60kg steak, or an average 16-year-old teenage male." Mr Reed said the snake was still digesting its meal a week later LOL at the difference! the lady just experienced her most traumatic day of 2009 and tries to cope by mesmerising the beautiful things she remembers of little Bindi while this doctor sounds like John Hammond from Jurrasic Park

  8. looooooooooooooooooooool what about: ''You want to have your Cake and eat it too'' Lol what the hell is it for then? or ''Believe you me''
  9. Silly really, the noble Quran makes it clear with examples such as Queen Bilqis of Yemen that women are capable of being 'just' and 'able' heads of state. I read somewhere that the hadith - where Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) is told by one of his companions that the commander of the Persian army is the Sassanid Princess Shahrbanu (who inherited the Persian Empire after her father's death) and him making the following reply: 'a nation that puts it's destiny in a woman's hand is doomed' - is actually not concrete but 'shaky'. Somali women need to be included in every sector of our country, from healthcare to education and from military to Politics. Somali Queens such as the wife of Ahmed Guray(Bati) have shown true leadership in bad times and Somali female commanders like the Dervish Queen Hasna Doreeh have shown they can lead armies and command respect from the other gender, so i see no reason to exclude them, matter fact i prefer seeing a Somali female president for a change, we all know who is keeping the country together so let's not kid ourselves!
  10. Walahi sxb i don't get it unless what i'm thinking right now is the right answer and that is; your equating women with cattle&camels, god forbid that is the right answer cause cattle = meat and camel = milk and those are the natural laws all have to adhere to, these bounderies must never be crossed let alone be turned into an art
  11. Yeah i was M.I.A for a while, but i'm back. Cattle/Camel raids? LoL your random sxb! Third place? that's good news brother, hope your students do even better next time Insha-allah
  12. Brother Sayyid congrats on your newborn first of all! Secondly I speak for myself ofcourse since i'm a Somali man, but it's also based on the male relatives of my immediate/extended family who have never married African women from non East African countries, so hence my doubt towards his claim of ''Somali men taking South African women in droves' which i think is rubbish and a silly excuse to wash away his criminal act. ps I asked when the deadline was since i was in the middle of moving to a new house, but i will start on it right away if they are still in the competition, let me know!
  13. Che ever had a dream where you murdered someone and the entire police department was after you but then you suddenly woke up in schock and at the same time relieved and happy because it was all just a dream? Well i had a similar dream but i was married to a non-Somali(Japanese qalanjo - blame the Dorama's) and we had children, a nice house, basically the 'good life' and there was nothing wrong with either my children or my wife they were beautiful but it still felt like a Nightmare when i woke up and Japanese women in my list of 'most beautiful women in the world' are ranked 2nd so XHOSA/ZULU?..lol no comment!
  14. Well said Chocolate & Honey! - Case in point: opportunistic Somali models have turned a barbaric tradition practiced by 100-150 million people in the world into a ''Somali tradition'' and stereotyped the same women they claim to represent with this outdated practice, without changing a damn thing on the ground. Fact is American women didn't protest to the world or America's rival the Soviets when they wanted to be allowed to 'vote' in the early 20th century, they didn't march in Moscow or Berlin, no! They marched in America! Somalia was well on it's way of ridding itself of this problem FGM(there are old video's where Somali female doctors talk about the progress and Somali fathers supporting the campaign) but alas the civil-war happened and with no real data from the ground we are clueless about the problem in today's Somalia Remember that we are Somalis not Westerners even if some of us live in the west, i prefer to see my sisters the way i do them now, and that's a proud, beautiful, charming and most importantly resilient group of women, i'm not interested in seeing words coming from that area - even if hypothetical - it's just WRONG! Just like a male voice narrating a 'Always ultra sanitary product' commercial is WRONG for a kazillion reasons! There are other ways for us to communicate and tell eachother about our problems and what to do about it, but this is definitely not the way!

  16. Bast-A-rds! In their hour of need Somalia hosted South African refugees, gave military supplies to their freedom fighters, politically supported their quest against Apartheid, gave them a voice on the international stage (whenever we could provide them one) wether it was during Somalia's term as chairman of the AU or the multiple times that their leaders used the International media residing in Mogadishu as an outlet to the world and this scum of a xaayiwaan tries to justify his barbaric killings of hardworking legitimate entrepreneurs with the words: they come here to take our women...LMAO i doubt Somali men are even remotely attracted/interested in non-Somali African women unless they are East African groups like Afar,Oromo,Harari, Beja women etc. they..come..to..take..our..women...rofl dear lord
  17. The_Siren reminds me of DoctorOmer..welcome! Che you should check out ''OldBoy''!
  18. I agree! wonderful sister.
  19. Interesting post! The West (and the United States in particular) has this great fear of the Rising 'East'. It's a strong possibility that WWIII could erupt in the east through the clever manipulation of the west. India and Pakistan were set to nuke eachother to oblivion sometime back because they almost 'mistook' an earthquake for a nuclear attack. Imagine Western Intelligence agents entering either one of those countries with actual nuclear suitcases(i saw them on 24 ) and detonating them. The two aforementioned countries because of their sheer paranoia of one another would rampage each other. This could draw in China since she shares borders with both and has fought previous wars with India. There are countless other potential 'triggers' such as PRC China conquering Russia's Siberian region and the nuclear war that follows or N-Korea vs Japan(who could produce nukes in less than a year, which is why Japan is called a De-facto Nuclear State) or PRC China vs US backed ROC China. not to forget Iran and her new friend Mother Russia vs Israel/US
