  1. The media world & the entertainment industry is such a BS place full of hypocrites, people like Madonna (who probably hasn't spoken with Mike since the early 90s) claims she can't stop crying, other mega artists and media outlets are all praising him, why couldn't those tools do that when he was alive? The guy stopped all regular programming of newsoutlets from around the world, lol that's MASSIVE
  2. I preferred he had died next month on stage, that would have been a very fitting end for the King of Music. I think his contract ended, without option to extend.
  3. Marx your lack of rationale thinking will be the reason why instead of becoming a professional spokesperson for the Somali community in the future, your words will simply be ignored, see things from different sides! My opinion of Somali girls has always been positive, i would smile at them, have conversations with them, but for some reason at highschool i never saw them as dating material(the fact that they all have 17 brothers that you grew up with is also a repellent), one time i saw a Somali girl fighting a Serbian girl whose brother also joined in the fight and then suddenly a whole group of Somali guys jumped on him Neither I or my friends knew the Somali girl or why she was in a fight with those Serbians but a sense of loyalty pursuaded us to manhandle the guy who was kicking that sister I wasn't a Self-Hating Somali and neither were my friends, it had more to do with the fact that i was less involved with my Somali side in my day to day life, why escape something that is already on the periphery of your life?.
  4. LOL@Ben 10 i bought that famous toy watch for my cousin, now he is terrorising my Aunt's house thinking he's Ben 10 nice story Ngonge.
  5. Neutrality syndrome is a dangerous mindset i have noticed amongst some Somali teenagers, myself included in the past. Let's say a Somali guy encounters a beautiful Somali girl who is drooled over by his Ajanabi friends but he himself sees her as nothing other than his Somali sister and tells his friends to be quite, then this brother has the Neutrality syndrome. If a Somali girl sees her ajanabi friends giggling and checking out a good looking Somali guy and she herself can't figure out why they are so into him, then she my friend is also suffering from the neutrality syndrome We all naturally have this syndrome with regards to our blood siblings, but when a person lives and grows up in a foreign country he/she absorbs the host country's culture, and usually the original culture is pushed to the periphery of that person's life and they in extreme cases become A-sexual to members of their own ethnic community, while those who are really into their culture are more inclined to feel attracted to a compatriot I've seen this amongst Indians, Pakistanis, Moroccans, Turks, Poles and of course Somalis.
  6. I used to date alot of Dutch girls when i was younger, we did the usual corny stuff like Cinema/bowling and acting cool in the mall, but at the end of the day their fathers would always pick us up lol. Then i entered an age category where everything became more serious and the temptations were brutal but luckily i began hanging out with my Somali brothers and sisters who swayed me from the dark side I think sticking with your own is the way to go.
  7. Ms DD who? what? where? ....maybe in London, maybe not all i have to say is; i prefer this undercover drama to the Natalie's and the Ukowebe's nonsense i personally have seen a couple getting caught by the family who then fell in love with the mystery Farah and now the couple are formally engaged.
  8. I have noticed in the west there are many unmarried Somali couples living together, finishing their studies etc before they marry.
  9. 69. Guys like girls that are mental, a girl who hides behind a tree and then schocks her love interest by jumping him like an agile tiger..rrrr.. is considered wifey-material.
  10. I'm interested in those old Somali manuscripts Andrewjeski saved and catalogued at Indiana. Anyone know where i could see them?
  11. Thanks for the video MMA. I wonder why nobody in Peace-time Somalia bothered going to the old Museum and take pictures of the large collection there? I have this old book that catalogued the museum and some impressive stuff was in there, it's too bad i was born so late.
  12. I'm Somali, this cushitic crap or those silly clan myths mean nothing to me!

  15. Sometimes when i sleep on my arms for too long they become completely numb like i'm paralyzed or something, but then the blood circulation goes back to normal and i can just feel it rushing through my arms, this tinteling feeling is quite addictive btw
  16. Some questions to the tech experts here: What would you consider a respectable amount of RAM and Harddisk space? are 500 MB and 60GB respectable? Are brands like Acer and ASUS honorable brands or knock-offs?, because there prices are highly attractive. If you know a good brand that sells laptops/desktops please post them here(max. £300) Thanks!
  17. Juje brother, those were the ones i meant The first was a national treasure and should be restored aswell(the civil war pic is horrible, it looks like something from the movie Langoliers), but good news that the second one is being re-build, a good step indeed.
