The lady looks like she's wearing her own see-through Islamic version of Darth Vader's black suit and mask ensemble or a sad attempt at a niqab, subhanallah. Either way, it's unnecessary, a hijab/abaya/jilbaab will suffice no need to conform to gaalonimo.

Originally posted by Abdinuur: Maybe the sistas from back home are more cultured like our moms...meaning they have their diin and dhaqan instilled in their core values...and nothing would change that even when she learns and 'open her eyes'....that's why we see a lot of the brothas, who are attracted to these values, are going back home to marry some of these women! Even some of the sistas in the west have these values...but not too many walaahi! It's a disbelief to discourage any sistas from following her diin and call her names and label her this and that (i.e. raaliyo )...even if the guy who is married to her is a loser...she still needs to do what is expected of her in terms of diin... It just doesn't make any sense! The belief that everyone that back home is better needs to change wallahi. The majority of the youngsters here have lost their diin, that I do agree with, but I do really believe that that's the real reason for men going back home in search of a wife. Like Neph said, they want a relationship like the one between their parents and they're looking for second mothers, ones that will follow their every order, beck and call and cook and clean whenever they're asked to. Now, Somali women in the West wouldn't really be up to the task and know that they can do so much better, so they go for alternatives. The men are left to find women back home who don't know that they have rights in the West and are just happy to be there.

Did facebook also tell you that you'd find the love of your life, too?

How would you know?

Are Punlanders among the most patriotic Somalis?

^Well said.

^How is that possible hadaay yahiin opposites? Being a stick figure is the complete opposite of having actual curves on your body. You're right though, being curvy does not equate to being fat. It's right in the middle, a healthy weight.

Mashallah more of my demographic joining here. Welcome.
-
I heard that after just one lecture, 2000 people reverted. Mashallah may Allah reward him inshallah. He is so direct and forward and doesn't like to beat around the bush, that's what I like about him most.
-
I find the face paint offensive, it's unneeded.

Bienvenue - and what's with the 19 years old joining? Are they trying to recruit a younger demographic here?

I didn't find any of that funny, but vulgar.

Originally posted by Cadaan: That being said, I am leaving SOL, because I am also tired of the attitudes of people around here. ALways qabiil this, ceesh iyo maraq that, but no one wants to talk about how much they would love to marry that Canadian Muslim convert!!.....You guys suck!! You are a revert, really? Mashallah. Brother I am sure many women would love to marry a righteous Muslim brother whether they are a revert or not. With that being said, inshallah your trip is going well and you come back safely (I wish I could've said goodbye earlier). Salaam.

I'm getting wareer just from reading your Somali, accudubillah! Plain English will do bro. I never complained to the Admin for anything you've done, honestly just you're not that important; get off your high horse bro. That thread wasn't a nice one; it was built around attacking eachother and that's why I said good on the Admin for him to delete it's existence. He's the one who owns this website, therefore he knows what does and doesn't cross the line. Don't cry foul now when you know your thread full of fitnah deserved to be deleted. Jumcah Mubarak! I'm out, enjoy your weekend effribody. Salaam.

Mashallah, you're so young. I imagined you a little older, what with your maturity and intelligence. You are wise beyond your years sis. Though this place is filled with oldies (no offence of course ) so from now you should expect little jabs being taken at your age.

Look into the audience, and think of a funny joke your friend told you. It always works for me, but the downside to it is tha teach ends up thinking I'm crazy cuz I end up laughing at the audience.

W/salaam! I wouldn't risk long-lasting friendship for marriage, my friends that are brothers don't fit the bill of becoming a suitable husband anyway. I don't know, we just don't have the same goals and we're headed in two polar opposite directions. It would just feel weird too, I can't picture myself married to one of them.

Have a good time there sis, you'll surely be missed. Tell us how it went after you come back yaa? PS. I faintly remember going to a really good Somali restaurant in Columbus in 2001, wallahi the fish and drink(s) were fabolous. Too bad I don't remember the name. Salaam.

Wow 13 pages subhanallah! We must love the old man eh?

To become a Hafiz inshaAllah. A Surah a day can get so far along in the Quraan subhanallah and the rewards you gain from connecting with the Word of Allah are immense. I'm still in the Ramadan mood though alhamdulilah.
