  4. Former Somaliland minister visits South Sudan HARGEISA — Former Somaliland’s Civil Aviation minister is scheduled to hold talks with officials from South Sudan government ahead of their official independence from Khartoum. Mr. Ali Mohamed ‘Waran Adde” who served under President Riyale has been travelling by road using his vehicle and Somaliland license plates to cross Somaliland-Ethiopia border and Ethiopia-South Sudan border for the past month. He told local radio stations by telephone that he encountered a lot of new and exciting things during his journey to southern Sudan. He said it was an eye opener for him. He added he is expected to discuss general issues related to bilateral ties, like economic and trade cooperation with the South Sudanese government. The government of Somaliland has not yet sent an official delegation from the ruling party but it has welcomed the south’s independence vote. Somaliland believes it could use the south’s independence as a precedent as it seeks more support for its case for international recognition. Some foreign observers and politicians believe the Juba government will recognize Somaliland which will pave the way for other regional powers to follow. Ali Waran Adde in remote South Sudan with his son Abdulrahman As a part of a 2005 North-South peace deal, the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), the people of South Sudan went to the polling stations to vote for secession from the North in January. Nearly 99 percent of southerners voted to form Africa’s newest 54th state. The results have been endorsed by foreign observers, UN, Arab League and North Sudan. South Sudan is expected to be inaugurated as the world’s newest nation on 9th of July. Between now and then, the territories will have to agree on issues such as debts, citizenship, national assets and border demarcation.

  6. saaxib all food and fuel supllies for Buhoodle comes from berbera you forget buhoodle is located in togdheer heck we even provide electricity to buhoodle and widhwidh district you remember what happened to the electricity in widhwidh when the Somaliland armed forces were Fighting the insurgents. There is one road that comes from Laascanoood to the west it's the one that is heading to adhicadeeyee and yagoori that goes to gumeys then to oog and there are no rebels there. so closing down the road is impossible for the insurgents sure the Somaliland economy is based on trade and our trucks leave burco and go straight to bosaaso Galkacyo wardheer danod Jigjiga harta sheikha Dirdhawe. No one can stop that since the rebels are only concentrated in the buhoodle district near the Ethiopian Somaliland border.

  8. Sheikh sharif never wanted to compromise he wanted the Amisom to stay and fight along side him he never wanted to lose his foreign troops the same way how the Ethiopians fought Alongside warlord Cabdilahi Yusuf. let me ask you another question how long will it take for the Soldiers to be trained in uganda and Djibouti to replace Amisom and will they be fit to face Alshabaab.
  9. Oba i don't see what the two got to do with eachother i am not an Alshabaab supporter don't get me wrong i just believe the solution lies some where inbetween Alshabaab and the Amisom and these people need to learn how to compromise. Alshabaab is effective and exist on the ground there should be another alternative . African troops can not for ever back this Failed TFG govt , there should be another solution how long Oba do you want this war to continue?

  11. Somalina awoow the attack on the university graduation Alshabaab never claimed that eventhough i am against all kind of suicide bombings, i have never see you condemn the atrocities the Amisom forces commit against the innocent civilians of Mogadisho like shelling the bakara market. Here is the proof they shell Bakara market intentionally Watch 02:08
  12. When will the lies stop , ilahoow ummadan xaqa tus. Somaliland armed forces will never hurt an innocent lady, this is the work of the nabadiids and now they want to get Sympathy from the diaspora more funding to hurt more innocent people.to get more financial support ilahoow nabbadiidka shacabka buhoodle ka qabo. dadki way dhibeen.
  13. As long as the nabadiids keep harassing the innocent civilians in Buhoodle and use them as humanshield the Somaliland government has no choice but to defend the people of buhoodle from these Nabadiids, Buhoodle was the most peaceful place in 2009 2008 2007 2006 2005 2004 2003 2002 2001 and 2000 and even before that. evern since the rebels arrived they turned the place into a battlefield wuxu cadawsana
  14. Duke It doesn't matter as long as we get our aid seperatly and almost half of what Somalia gets de facto recognition is going well so far for us Andrew Mitchel Minister of development allready visited Somaliland , i wonder how much the pirate state will get of that 60% sh dalxiis is receiving

  17. Oba saaxibow isn't Marka peaceful isn't baraawe peaceful isn't baydhabo and jawhar peaceful and kismayo and afmadow are also peaceful come on man give credit where it's due.
  18. Sure i do that's why he was deported but can you deport the 12000 african mercenaries the answer is no and i am 100% sure if the TFG president tells them to leave they won't go voluntarily. Don't get me wrong i am against Amisom and Alshabaab fighting inside civilian populated areas that will only cause death and destruction on the innocent residents of Xamar. How ever Foreign Troops Should leave Somalia they are the biggest obstacle to peace. Awoow don't focus too much on the Amiir Godane he is doing just what all these politicians want which is peace and stability he just uses different methods to achieve that.
  19. ssc is a non existent rebel movement it's run by clanish obsessed diaspora members from the outside. Somaliland authorities should just impose some sanctions on buhoodle. Just isolate them from the outside world for a couple of days all food and fuel supllies and electricity are provided by Somaliland companies , just deploy the army west of buhoodle some where between xadhadhanka and buhoodle and to the north some where between sooljoogto and buhoodle. They won't get any breathing space and the insurgents will be confused the peace loving reer buhoodle will demonstrate against the insurgents. Since these peace hating rebels are keeping the people of buhoodle hostage for so long and eventually they will be driven out and seek refuge in Ethiopia and the people of buhoodle will be free at last.
  20. Somalina i just post the news i don't agree with The Amiir Most of the time in how he handles the situation how ever i believe Somalia Somali ba iska leh and burundis Kenyans Ethiopians and other africans don't belong in Somalia. and if they won't go voluntarily you have the right to defend your land.
  21. A khadar waxay kala yihin laba dal laba dawladood laba qaran a khadar adba 40%ka waad ila dhuuqeysa don't worry
  22. Awoow there are priorities and i think the Amiir has set some priorities to Like cleaning African invaders from the Somalia capital. second priority is to make the banadir region a peaceful place i think these are the priorities of the Amiir. What i love or dislike is irrelevant awoow
  23. Kenya MP Gidion Mbuvi to fight for right to wear bling Gidion Mbuvi is known for his flamboyant dressing style A Kenyan lawmaker thrown out of parliament for wearing ear studs and sunglasses says he will fight to change the dress regulations. "I represent the youths who elected me to parliament," Gidion Mbuvi, 35, told the BBC. "This is our generation. It is our time," said the MP who drives a Hummer car, like many US rap stars. He says MPs should be allowed to wear "extras" such as sunglasses and earrings, as long as they wear suits. 'Rich and flamboyant' He said that Kenya had been governed by old men for too long. "I'm trying to prove to the world that it is the right time for the youth to be in charge of our nation," he said. He was thrown out of parliament on Tuesday after other MPs decided that the way he dressed offended the dignity of the assembly. Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim said the house had never before been entered by a male lawmaker wearing earrings. But one Kenyan reminded people on the internet that the speaker wears a white wig made of horsehair - and questioned who looked more ridiculous. Mr Mbuvi is popularly known as Sonko - a Swahili term describing a rich and flamboyant person. He was elected to parliament last year to represent a constituency in the capital, Nairobi. BBC East Africa correspondent Will Ross says Mr Mbuvi is a colourful character with an even more colourful past. He has been questioned by police over allegations of involvement in the drug trade, which he vehemently denies. He has also been sent out of parliament for accusing government ministers of links to the drugs trade and has pending court cases over fraud. Mr Mbuvi says he has done nothing wrong. Our correspondent says debate will continue as to whether Mr Mbuvi aka Sonko is suitable material to be an MP. In Kenya, though, the bar is pretty low, he says, and many feel the title "honourable" is hugely inappropriate.
