What about bay and bakool Oba Hilloowlow.

  7. Oba i dont think xamar can be a federal state as long as it wants to be the capital, the rights of the minorities should always be protected i agree. And i don't think the new admin will marginalize the smaller minorities in jubaland nor will they be sidelined. The Majority just gets a bigger piece of the pie and the minority a smaller.
  8. Times are changing Oba hiloowle in the 1960s and 1970s Kismayo was an all inclusive city of all clans azanians those from gedo the one from bay and all the others. But since the civil war lots of people were killed lots of people fled Somalis are nomads lots of people migrated to new territories. Demographics is no longer the same you have to accept that since 1991 reer cabuudwaaq and reer gedo were investing in kismayo not saying they didn't live in kismayo before that ofcourse they did, but they live in more areas in the lower juba today. Which is not a bad thing they are not Kenyans or Ethiopian. The same with Mogadishu,, Mogadishu was the pride of the Somali nation even with reer unuka being the indigenous inhabitants at that time if you asked people back than do you think Mogadishu belongs to a clan i think they would laugh at you. Mogadishu had people from Puntland gedo jubaland galmudug and even Somaliland and every one felt at home and even today they cant claim it as their city and can you imagine that was the capital of the Somali state. I wonder though what will happen if the refugees return back to their rightful territory and if they are allowed back since everything changed in Somalia the past 22 years.
  9. But oba the unuka community is the majority along with their reer daynille cousins and the banadiri are 3rd. And i think Uztaad is saying Kismayo is D block majority and the rest are minorities so sidaa maha.
  10. The clan issue is not the biggest issue sharing a state and resources is the biggest challenge because the idea of sharing a state having one leader Amiir is a difficult task for the Somalis. For instance the current prime minister and president both belong to different tribes but even that goes wrong because the President is seeing as superior to the prime minister the idea that the entire country belongs to all Somalis is also very unfamiliar if you ask Somalis.Somalis are peoples with no republics prior to their short lived nationhood the concept of tribal homelands plays a vital role in modern day Somalia. And it will for years to come unless they reconstruct their societies in the near future.
  11. The only 4 Somaliland politicians who are unionist in their hearts and minds and really believe that Somaliland and Somalia should remain united. Are General jamac maxammad qaalib ismaciil hure buuba Dr Axmed ismaciil samatar and Mr Kaluun. These four they believe in it because its their principle. The others are either indifferent or could care less if they stay united or not or are Somaliland supporters in their hearts. Like sifir who was a kulmiye member than joined cabdilahi yusufs government than returned back home. The former deputy mayor of berbera in 1995 or ina omaar who was part of the kulmiye branch office based in Djibouti. Ina omaar went as far as saying, that he is in Somalia because they need him the most in Somalia he said the Koonfurians need him desperately. And he continued and said that in Somaliland there are better politicians in Somaliland he is not needed there. The so called MPS from Somaliland in Somalias parliament how come we never hear of them how come they never talk because they are just there to collect their money and than party on exotic beaches in east Africa. They don't see them selves as legislators and when their time is up and every one goes home. They just ask president siilaanyo for forgiveness and he lets them back in or what ever president is ruling Somaliland.
  12. STOIC even if she goes to Somalia and becomes a Minister she will stay a Somalilandist in her heart after all this is the man who raised an icon of Somaliland a man who played a significant role in Somaliland on all fields education politics poetry you name it.
  13. Anigu wali maan fahmin wuxu abwaan diidanyahay ma Axmed madoobe bu diidanyahay ma inay kibaaki saaxib yihin mise wuxu diidanyahay ciidamada shiisheeye. War ama cadaado haku dhasho ama dhooblay muhiim maha halkay hooyadi ku foolatay eh waxa muhim ah siyasadisa so far anigu wali wax mad madow ma arkin aan ahayn Axmed madoobe.. mamuul ba kismayo loo sameyey gudi ba loo saaray wax sharciga diidaya anigu ila hada ma arkin.
  14. lol i think he watched to many American movies.
  15. Thats why the notion of modern Somali statehood was a failed experiment its self and when some certain people thought that they could misuse the resources of the Somali nation for their own clannish gains. Than u will get total collapse of a nation, and when you are dealing with nomadic people and when their salience of national identity isn't even that strong than you know that something is really wrong. The root of the problem lies deeper son much and much deeper. This is just the beginning what you are seeing let clan federalism further evolve and you will see more.
  16. Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe Ruling Zimbabwe since 1980 and still kicking it President of Angola Mr Eduardo dos santos ruling since 1979 Paul Biya of Cameroon ruling since 1982 thats 30 years for the Cameroon president Yoweri Museveni of Uganda ruling since 1986 thats 26 years for the ugandan dictator Blaise Compaoré of Burkina Fasso ruling 25 years Yahye yammeh of gambia ruling since 1994 Joseph Kabila of congo ruling since 2001 Isiyas afarwerki of Eritrea ruling since 1991 Omar hassan al bashir of sudan ruling since 1989

What we had than compare to today ,I rather have yesterday's system. Eventhough there was a big corruption and property being taken by the government to help his own , we still had law and order . And anyone against it was aiming thier own interest like snm, ssdf, usc There wasn't a 4.5 but there was a M.O.D. alliance similar to the 4.5 the only difference was the M.O.D was one clan. One clan sucking all the resources of the Somali state can you imagine that. So one would say the 4.5 is more inclusive compared what we had before But on the other hand the thing is to legitimize the actions of the pre war era countries such as Somalia use not primordial but human rights the past enlivenment of the state to reinforce and strengthen the tribal nation of the state.
  18. Not funded by the state funded privately sometimes other sponsors this time only 3 will become the new legitimate parties of Somaliland.Well its kinda difficult UCID is a more socialist/islamist party kulmiye and udub didn't group them selves as left or right like in the west. Wadan is ultra rightwing nationalist party.
  19. Walaalkis he would dictators fight and die in office while carrying a gun and attack every one who questions their authority.2012 Somalia has an elected President with no dictatorship a different world a different time.

  21. I get the feeling that the government in Mogadishu is focusing to much of its precious time on the juba regions. I mean today there were troubled situations in Hiiraan region a police commander was killed, Ethiopian troops came in with their armed vehicles the city is under curfew now.Fighting erupted near baydhabo, and few days ago another military commander was killed Somali artists are still being killed in Mogadishu. The country is still with out a government its seems like these guys have the time of their life. Sure they can comment on Kismayo here and there but the city is in good hands for now the government should set its priorities straight this is how the situation looks like now.
