Axmed Siilaayo ayaa sheegay in shirkaas uu yahay mid Soomaaliya loo qabanayo iyagana uusan quseyn, sidaa daraadeedna ay dowladda Britain u sheegeen inaysan shirkaas ka qaygbalayn. “Shirka London waa mid loo qabanayo Soomaaliya, inaguna kama qaybgeli doonno, waayo ma ahan mid na khuseeya,” ayuu Siilaayo wariyeyaasha ugu sheegay garoonka diyaaradaha ee magaalada Hargeysa. Isagoo hadalkiisa sii wata ayaa wuxuu sheegay in wadahadallada u dhexeeya dowladda Soomaaliya iyo Somaliland ay muddo soo socdeen, balse aysan hadda socon, isagoo xusay in dib loo furo ayaana ka hadli doonnaa. Magaalada London ee dalka Britain ayaa lagu wadaa in horraanta bisha May ee soo socota lagu qaban doono shir looga hadlayo arrimaha Soomaaliya, kaasoo lagu casuumay maamulka Somaliland, waxaana shirkaas lagu waday inay isku arkaan wufuudda dowladda Soomaaliya iyo Somaliland si ay uga hadlaan sii socoshada wadahadalladii sannadkii hore u billowday.
  2. No way raskmambooni is near 3000 troops come back to mother earth Apophis if it wasn't for the Kenyans we all know what would happen
  3. I doubt it the gedo troops are already in Kismayo they are being kept in one part of the city where the Amisom kenyans are. And the conference in kismayo was cancelled altogether. Not sure how legitimate the conference in Kenya will be in the context of building a state for Somalia's jubba region.
  4. I think its the correct decision because the Conference will be co chaired by President hassan and David Cameron of the UK, and its a conference entirely discussing the issues problems of Somalia, which doesn't include Somaliland. Even if a mini meeting between Somaliland and Somalia was planned it will not be productive. Somaliland and Somalia should discuss their future relations not in conference like that but in a separate conference they jointly organized.
  5. Somaliland President Ahmed Siilaanyo made it clear that they wont attend the London conference, and that the Somaliland and Somalia talks are a separate process, and that these talks will continue i think this is a very good decision made by the Somaliland goverment well said President.

  8. Somaliland: Police Force Enhances Rapid Reaction Capabilities Thursday, 14 March 2013 16:54 VP Sayli © flanked by from right Minister Osman Minister Duur and Gen Fadal at the RRU graduationBy: Yusuf M Hasan MANDERA (Somalilandsun) - The police force has strengthened its capabilities for a fast reaction to diverse eventualities following the graduation of 100 officers at the Mandera police academy. At a ceremony officiated by the Vice president Hon Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail 'Sayli' at the Mandera Police Academy the 100 graduating officers were officially inducted into the Rapid Reaction Unit-RRU , which is a year old police unit British crack unit with specialized anti-terrorist skills British trained crack unit with specialized anti-terrorist skills conducted under funding from t and by officers from the United Kingdom The incoming officers join their now hardened colleagues at RRU which was launched in March of 2012 to not only conduct the main duty of counter-terrorism activities but provide police departments nationwide with extra muscle whenever the need arises. While mounting their most important guard of honour at their graduating ceremony the 100 officers who were recruited for the specialized training from various police units' proffered gratitude for the opportunity to receive specialized training and subsequent deployment to the crack and prestigious RRU which they promised to service with dedication and distinction. Those thanked were local and British instructors as well as the VP and his entourage that included the minister of interior Mohamed Duur Arale, State minister of Finance Osman Abdilahi Adani and Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Abdilahi Fadal Iman. representing his boss on official visit to Turkey Dr Ahmed M Silanyo, VP Sayli who thanked the UK government for making the unit a reality not only through funding but specialized expertise as well also informed of pride the nation holds the police academy and its continued stream of a trained cadre of law enforcement officers. While congratulating the graduate's Interior minister Duur Arale who cautioned rumormongers terming the RRU as government tool for public subjugation said the unit was created after it became apparent that counter-terrorism and rapid reaction and deployment skills were lacking within the police force. Revealing that the interior ministry plans to continue training more officers for the unit as well as existing ones Hon Duur Arale also thanked the UN for its Rule of Law & security-ROLS programe that has benefitted the police force and Judiciary over the years. According to Brig General Fadal Iman the 100 officers who were recruited from various units of the police nationwide who successfully completed a three months specialized anti-terrorism training as well extra lessons like bomb disposal, fire-fighting, first aid thus the only unit to possess these hitherto unavailable skills within the country's security forces. As he officially inducted the 100officers to the RRU the police commissioner revealed that the crack British trained unit which will continue operate under the command of the Special Protection Unit-SPU has sufficient logistics to deploy and deal with any adverse eventualities in all corners of the country. The SPU that provides protection to expatriates and other foreign dignitaries during official functions in Somaliland is an elite unit wholly funded by the UN following the spate of brutal murders perpetrated against expatriates by Al-Shabaab in 2003 and 2004 that saw a Annalisa Tonnelli killed in Borama, a British couple SOS school Sheikh and a Kenya development worker in Darburuq area. The police training college which has become a beehive of activity graduated its 26th batch of recruits solely composed of Female officers numbering 150 who are to serve in various stations of the country early this month.
  9. Somalilandsun: Somaliland is optimistic that a search for oil by Genel Energy Plc (GENL), run by former BP Plc Chief Executive Officer Tony Hayward, will find commercial quantities of crude, Mines and Energy Minister Hussein Abdi Dualeh said. The company has completed about 95 percent of an airborne geophysical study and plans to conduct a two-dimensional survey of a 4,000-kilometer (2,485-mile) area in the semi-autonomous northern Somali region, Dualeh said in an interview in Ankara, the Turkish capital. Patrick D'Ancona, a spokesman for London-based Genel, declined to comment beyond its annual results statement issued on Feb. 28. The "initial map shows big, promising basins," Dualeh said, adding that Genel hasn't interpreted all of the data yet. "That does not mean there is oil there. There is still a lot of work to do: 2-D seismic, exploratory drilling, a lot of processes. It looks promising." The hunt to develop energy resources in East Africa has gained pace since Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) made the decade's biggest natural gas discovery off the coast of Mozambique. Finds in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia have also raised the region's energy profile. Demand in China and India helped spark a bidding war last year between Royal Dutch Shell Plc (RDSA) and Thailand's PTT Exploration & Production Pcl (PTTEP) for AnadEng Duale Genel to find harvest inexaustable quantities of crudearko's partner Cove Energy Plc. Licensed Blocks Somaliland has licensed one-third of its oil fields where the Anglo-Turkish company Genel operates in five blocks, with plans to drill a first well by mid-2014, said Dualeh. Ophir Energy Plc (OPHR) of the U.K. is also in negotiations for a 2-D seismic contract and may start drilling in 2015, he said. "It is a no brainer, there is oil" said Dualeh. "It is a matter of finding commercial qualities." Somalia, particularly its northern regions of Somaliland and Puntland are a "southward extension of the lucrative geologic framework of the Arabian Gulf" that includes Saudi Arabia, according to Osman Salad Hersi, an associate geology professor at the University of Regina in Canada. Saudi Arabia is the world's biggest oil producer. "The country, Somalia, including Somaliland, can potentially be the Saudi Arabia of East Africa," Hersi said in an e-mailed response to questions. "But the instability of the country within the past 30 years or so hindered any meaningful hydrocarbon exploration." No Recognition Somalia has been wracked by more than two decades of civil war since the fall of Mohamed Siad Barre's dictatorship in 1991. Somaliland declared independence after Barre was removed from office and the former British protectorate has yet to gain recognition as a sovereign nation by any other country or foreign institution. "Lack of international recognition for their unilateral secession and not being part of the internationally-recognized Federal Somalia of Mogadishu puts Somaliland in limbo," said Hersi. Somaliland is negotiating with other unidentified international oil companies hoping to sign exploration contracts in 2013. Cnooc Ltd. (883), the state-owned Chinese oil company, and Canadian and Australian companies are already forging oil deals with the Somali government and that of the semi-autonomous region of Puntland. "We have not had any active exploration on such a scale until now," said Dualeh. "Genel is really leading the charge in really putting together a very aggressive big exploration campaign to really evaluate the potential of Somaliland." Hayward resigned from BP, Europe's second-biggest energy company, in October 2010 following the Gulf of Mexico disaster. He teamed up with financier Nathaniel Rothschild to create Vallares Plc, a shell company that raised 1.33 billion pounds ($1.98 billion) through an initial public offering in London in June 2011. Vallares agreed to merge with Genel in September 2011. Shares in Genel fell less than 0.1 percent to 794.50 pence in London yesterday. The stock has gained 1.9 percent so far this year. 10. ^^ But that it self will be a mess that contradicts that Somalia is a federal republic if Southern Mudug galguduud hiiraan those 3 region will be directly administrated by xamar including xamar its self banadir 4 regions. How does that work you cannot have 2 systems in one country. It will be chaos. The problem is HAG cannot share a state because they are not clan orientated they are regional people for instance every HAG will claim to be from xamar while some are from galguduud or middle shabelle. For the Puntlanders its different they had the Maguartania sultanate they just re named it Puntland they identify them selves first with their clan than the regions for HAG its different. The Jubbalanders have the same problem have never shared a state together well under British east Africa but even back than they never agreed also lots of change demographically the past 100 years there.
  11. Somalia;926974 wrote: By this logic, everyone can double their regions, is this a race or something, Puntland would have 3 states then  Xaaji are you suggesting special rules for some, in 2013, when we are moving forward, ceeb caleyk  Than it will be basically impossible to create a federal state in galguduud and mudug where the HAG sub clans dominate since they cannot share a state it needs to be divided. Somalia not every one is like Puntland. They cannot unite under one federal state so why not create two more regions. why would that hurt you. Dont you want federalism?
  12. Xiinfanin what ever happens in Somalia concerns me,federalism and Somaliland is an oxymoron no one in Somaliland calls for federalism in Somaliland we have a centralized goverment in hargeisa and every one is happy.
  13. Its not Xenophobia no one hates them they just have to stay with in their borders and with in their so called oromia we already lost so many districts to them the past 2 decades there were several clashes in the early 90s in diredawa. The TPLF than placed diredawa outside the Somali region and oromia region and its administrated separately currently. Also the southern regions they are busy pushing further with their cattle's inside the Somali territory. Maalin kalaad garan doontaan xaajigu run bu sheegey baad odhan doontaan.
  14. There is never deep love for anything its all about interests wax Yahuud iyo maraykan iyo danish iyo ruush lugu kala jeclaado ma jiraan eeh wa dano ay dalalku ay leeyihin oo ay raban inay dantooda ku fushaadaan markasay xidhiidh la yeeshan. Yahuudu Somalida , maxay u dhintay horta aynu nacna be ah , nafar Somali ah horta ma dileen. Yahuudu wabay caawiyeen Somalia, iyagu gacan siinyaa taliyaasha iyo ciidamada kenya oo ay aad u tababareen siday u jabin lahayeen shabaab. Waliga cidna lama naco cidna lama jeclaado dantada uun ba la eegta.
  15. When it comes to forming federal states its better to divided galguduud into two regions than they will fulfill the criteria of forming a federal state the same with hiiraan , hiiraan needs to be divided to into 2 regions if that happened than reer hiiraan can have their federal state to. The Parliament just needs to approve more regions only for those 2 regions. Since the rest of the country is pretty much fine with its regions.
  16. Its still not enough galguduud and half of Mudug cant still not be a federal state, hiiraan doesn't want anything to do with Galguduud. They want to divide hiiraan into 2. By the way ASWJ joined the goverment officially ximan iyo xeeb to they are officially part of the culusow foundation
  17. The galmudug clan cannot unite with the Puntlanders since there is bad blood between those 2 , they cannot unite with their kin in galguduud because they had many clan clashes the past 22 years. Its going to be very difficult unless mudug people have a proper reconciliation conference in galkacyo and unite under one admin. And maybe than galguduud can join to than they have 2 regions.
  18. Well Somaliland will do everything to secure their national interests in the region and beyond the region, i think we should not let emotions interrupt the policies of Somaliland. If Somaliland can have dialogue after 21 years with the rivals next door, than i am sure they can have have talks with any one including the Jewish state.
  19. Well said Africaown, eventhough wadani has lots of supporters in Somaliland.
  20. I am not anti semitic i have nothing against Israeli people or people of Jewish ancestry, but to point out the hypocrisy of Zionist is not a major sin you know as for the towelheads they are not all bad ofcourse some of their interest conflict with ours hence why we cannot be friends with them Egypt Saudi Arabia Libiya and all the others are useless arab states. So we could care less about them but the others we wish to have good relations with those nobles from Kuwait and UAE,We should not generalize them all thats all i am saying.
  21. Not all arabs dislike Somaliland just the Saudis and Egyptians, the Kuwaitis and UAE are very noble Arabs. The Egyptians and Saudis have deep seated hatred for Somaliland. As for the isrealis , as President Siilaanyo would say tallo qaran baanu ka yeeleynayna:D
