These sentiments were expressed by the president H.E. Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo during a meeting with British Somalilanders in London on the evening of 19th April 2013. The head of state also informed the over 1000 landers at the meeting that he has informed the UK government that the decision by the Hargeisa Administration to boycott the 7th May London conference on Somalia still stands firm. During a meeting President Silanyo held with the British Prime Minister David at No 10 Downing street The UK government had asked Somaliland to reconsider its boycott decision and participate in the 7th May London conference on Somalia. Said Dr Silanyo "We informed the British premiere that The London conference which is co-chaired by the president of SomaliaDavid Cameron requested President Silanyo to reconsider somalia conference participation during a meeting a No 10 Downing street is solely for that country therefore having nothing for Somaliland to offer nor for it to be offered" The head of the yet to be recognized country also revealed that though he rejected the UK request to reconsider on attending the London conference, Somaliland is beholden to the people and government of the United Kingdom for continued friendship that the two countries have shared for long. The sentiments were expressed by the Interior minister of Finland Mrs Päivi Räsänen during a meeting with visiting Somaliland delegation led by the minister of Resettlement, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction-MRR&R Dr Suleiman Isse Hagaltosie. Mrs Räsänen who informed that her government is aware of the efforts the unrecognized nation of Somaliland has undertaken to ensure that its people live peacefully said that plans are afoot for more active intervention by Finland. Somaliland will remain a separate country and independent it is only there to discuss the future relations between Somalia and Somaliland. The only reason why Somaliland is talking to Somalia is because Somalia legally is now a recognized government. But its not a goverment in control domestically its disorganized and has little say about the domestic issues of a country and its tight to the AU countries. Those who think Somaliland statehood is up for discussions with in these talks will be exposed to a rude awakening soon. Somaliland will always negotiate from a stronger position even though Somalia has legal governmental recognition but Somaliland can enforce its laws and has territorial control. I am sure that the discussions will end either in failure or the Somalia goverment will concede i think the latter can happen. Since hassan sheikh him self said that he wants union but never a forced union. Keep in mind hassan sheikh objective is first to create a well functioning entity in southern Somalia. The union with Somaliland comes second , but some sort of exit way out in legal terms will eventually be agreed on.

The SFG is busy replacing the kenyans with the Siera leone troops, who are much more in line politically with the SFG in Mogadishu.
