  3. Long live the Garaad clan, i hope shirku inu u midho dhalo.
  4. Caaqil Xaaji cabdi karim waraabe a living legend, he was one of the right hand man of The Legendary Sultan Diirye in the begin 20th century. Dont take Osman to serious his sultans used to wear silk siting in caluula eating fish. While the Sultans of Somaliland were all fardo fuul saldanad wada fardafuul oo wada gabayda. A Sultan of Somaliland had to have two traits he has to ride a horse and he has to take part of battle and he has to be an excellent poet. Niman geeska africa kala badh rogay bu isla bar bar dhigaya loool. Cuqaal talisa Boqor caaddila iyo culimo miisaan leh Ilaahi Carshiga Nuuriyoow kaaga caban mayno Caddaankaanu wada loollanaa madaw cisaynmayno Sultan Xassan Turabi 100 years ago
  5. Its awfully translated it should've been waxa loola jeeda qofka dadki degana gayiga Somaliland 26 june. 1960 iyo ka hor.
  6. I dont know where you get the word isirka was or tribe was not mentioned in the SL constitution.
  7. Article 4: Citizenship 1. Any person who is a patrial[10] of Somaliland being a descendant of a person residing in Somaliland on 26th June 1960 or earlier shall be recognised as a citizen of Somaliland. 2. The law[11] shall determine the acquisition or lossof the citizenship of Somaliland. Article 5: Religion 1. Islam is the religion of the Somaliland state[12], and the promotion[13] of any religion in the territory of Somaliland, other than Islam, is prohibited. 2. The laws of the nation shall be grounded[14] on and shall not be contrary to Islamic Sharia. 3. The state shall promote religious tenets (religious affairs) and shall fulfil Sharia principles and discourage immoral acts and reprehensible behaviour[15]. 4. The calendar shall be the Islamic Calendar based on the hijra[16], and the Gregorian Calendar. Article 6: Language 1. The official language of the Republic of Somaliland is Somali and the second language is Arabic.
  8. Well if Khatumo believes that is their stance their cousins in Puntland believe different and that is another problem that needs to be dealt with. For as Somalis have lost complete trust in what is a central goverment the population in the different area's seem to have different aspirations and believe the federal states or autonomous states should be given more powers. Where as the goverment in Mogadishu believes she should manage the port revenues and other resources of nation. The various Somali politicians are just doing what their communities want them to do, to represent them in the best ability they can.
  9. Nope according to the Somaliand constitution those in ethiopia what ever clan they are, cannot be Somalilanders.Where do you get that from, SL constitution says nothing about Djiboutian nationals or ethiopian nationals if they can be Somalilanders.
  10. Yeah sure there is corruption no one is denying that but the argument is that the politicians are not the one in mistake the system in the horn Somali peninsula is rotten. The reason why so much went to reoccurring costs is because Somaliland has allot of civil servants the army they recently doubled the salaries of the defense forces. Not because there is to much corruption or they steal 95% of the money. Somaliland also does not receive Budget aid support from the international community. But we cannot deny corruption its every where and there are enormous shortcomings. But the point is we can only hope for better leadership to replace the current one. But the essential problem which is the division between the politicians and the communities is not their fault. For example would u allow Puntland or Somaliland to manage the resources of Khatumo would the khatumites support this i dont think so this is the main problem.
  11. Yeah sure why not Muhamad abdullah hassan was born in Somaliland he is technically a Somalilander.
  12. The divisions already existed prior to the civil war even before independence even before colonialism, the politicians are a reflection of the people. We cannot all blame it on the politicians. Who is going to manage the resources of the country who will rule what part who will distribute the wealth of the country. The Politicians are there to make sure that their region community or clan or sub clan isn't cheated. If Somalis had common interests they would not allow the so called politicians represent them. Somalis have learned from the previous regime particularly from the Siad bare regime. If on community takes control the others will be followers and will eat the left overs. And they will use the state resources to enrich themselves. Things are not as black and white as you depict them, the divisions are there for a reason.
  13. Garmaqaate these people are ethnic Somalilandish people not persay Somaliland nationals the same way some one from Bookh of the Garaad clan is also an Ethnic Somalilandish person. But not persay a Somaliland national.
  14. Somali politicians are fighting for the interests of their people some how Faroole cannot afford that the Mogadishu community changes the federalism accord so he has to speak up. For as he believes the only thing that bonds Puntland to Mogadishu is the federal constitution. He cannot support Mogadishu if they misbehave this is his point of view and his constituency supports him in this. The same with Ahmed madoobe he has to uphold the legal framework that elected him as president the Jubbaland elder assembly, if he chooses another path he will lose support from his people. The same with Axmed Godane he must uphold the Alshabaab political islamists principles he cannot give into the demands of the other Somali leaders or even that of the international community or else his group will collapse. The same with Hassan sheikh he has a powerful constituency fragile community his own background will stop supporting him if he deviates from the powerful stake holders path of Mogadishu and south central Somalia. Now will they get rich down the line sure but that's not the only thing they also need to remain in power, and they will do everything to achieve that and their communities support them because they give them protection honer and respect and a future in the eyes of the mainstream Somalis. This is not simply just about money, but there are other major factors that play a role.
  15. Suldaanka what we need is a strong Parliament but there is no Parliament at the moment the Guurti seems to be very pro the goverment the same with he house of the representatives. Somaliland needs to hold parliament elections as soon as possible. I believe that is the way forward.
  16. ^^ The people who hail from Somaliland.
  17. Do Somalilanders support the consultation council, who appointed them, are we not a democracy what does the constitution say about this Debate
  18. Tallaabo ukrainiansku wa walalaheen ha inaga fogeyn adeer.
  19. Cambulo muungaab is another unuka, these unuka's want to be Mogadishu mayors for how long?
  20. When i read the thread first i thought first Mugaabe oo loo magacaabyo mayor of Mogadishu wabaan yaabay show wa Muungaab.
  21. They do want to stay why not the European union pays them a good salary , especially Kenya has it real good, they are getting paid , to protect their country from inside Somalia. The average Somali soldier earns a salary of 100 dollars the average amison soldiers earns 10 times as much.
  22. Carafaat i dont think so, they are possibly HAG members the man run for the president in 2012 Lol@ Anwar u are a friend of Somaliland.
  23. Ilo wareedyo muhiim ayaa u xaqiijiyay Thats where i stopped reading they always do that when they start speculating with rumors and stuff. Ilo wareediyo oo u dhuun daloola madaxtooyada ayaa xaqiijiyey bla bla bla. Come with real news saaxib
  24. Nope there will be no cooperation with the garowe clan enclave there is no need even, other than they sit on their side of the border and Somaliland sit on their side of the border. Somaliland government believes it only has to deal with the legitimate goverment of Somalia based in Mogadishu not with clan states, if that is the case than SL should also talk with galmudug ximan iyo xeeb waax iyo waadi Jubbaland and others. Have u ever even heard Somaliland mentioning the garowe clan enclave they dont only when there is a border conflict. This is how it is if Somaliland has a good relationship with Mogadishu than that is good for both of the people. And they can work together this is the way forward. Working with the garowe clan enclave doesnt benefit Somaliland in any way or form, Khatumo is 100 times much more important to Somaliland government than the garowe clan enclave.
