Nothing contradicting Somalilanders have been together for centuries way before General siad bare was born before Somaliland united with Somalia Before the Brits Before the Turks. Somaliland belongs to all of the people of Somaliland whether they worked for the Kacaan or fidel castro there is no law that restricts them the Land belongs to them and only to them. The only people of Somaliland descent who were stripped from their Somaliland citizenship are those who are currently in collaboration with the Koonfurians. But they can still make tauba and denounce Koonfurianism and head home and ask for forgiveness.

Its not a secret that Former Kacaan officials have helped shaped Somaliland political destiny is there something else you want to share with us? Siad bare is dead so is the kacaan and Somaliland Broke away from Somalia. And the people of Somaliland descent have learned to unite their strength even those who worked with the late Kacaan regime such as rayaale Egal Qeybe Cumar Carte. And those who were against the Kacaan regime have put their differences aside for the betterment of Somaliland and its People.

Ukraine struggling between west and east once again and the government after protests backed down from a deal to be signed with the European union the orange revolution during the Viktor Yushchenko reign had not brought what the Europeans wanted and he could not deliver for the EU. Lets see how this story unfolds and lets hope the best for the Ukrainian people, for they have suffered to much being squeezed by 2 regional powers Russia and the Europeans, both wanting to have leverage on Ukraine and gain from Ukraine resources, as it is also located in a very strategic area.

Ukraine's choice: East vs West As thousands rally in Kiev over a suspended EU deal, can Moscow maintain its influence over the former Soviet republics? Inside Story Last updated: 26 Nov 2013 11:24 Listen to this page using ReadSpeaker Email Article Print Article Share article Send Feedback Around 50,000 demonstrators have rallied in the centre of Kiev to demand that Ukraine's government reverse course and sign a landmark trade and cooperation agreement with the European Union. This process was started not by political parties but by the civil society and NGOs, and after political parties joined this process. But we have to understand that signing this agreement is a political choice ... is a choice between future and past ... and we understand that signing these documents with the European Union will start a great reform in Ukraine. Ostap Semerak, an adviser to the opposition Batkivshchyna group The Ukraine backed out of a deal, which was due to be signed with the EU on Friday, after several secret meetings with Russia. Moscow has reportedly threatened unspecified economic measures if Ukraine signs the EU deal. The public show of force was the largest since the Orange Revolution in 2004 - during which peaceful protests brought a Western-leaning government to power. One of the key demands of protesters and the EU is the release of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko who has become a symbol of Ukraine's troubled democracy. Tymoshenko's daughter Eugenia was one of those attending Sunday's protest march, saying: "All I can say is that the Ukrainian people, as well as the opposition should fight and stand for our national interests, for the fulfillment of conditions by the president and to sign the agreement. The chance still exists. We hope that it will be, and that it becomes a reality." But this time, the number of protesters has not been sustained, and the government is showing no signs of backing down. Russia and Ukraine share much of their history, but since the fall of the Soviet Union, relations have been tense. The 1990s were marred by territorial disputes, but they signed a friendship treaty in 1997, which brought a period of improved relations. The Orange Revolution in 2004 again raised problems. And in 2009, Russia cut off gas supplies to Ukraine in a dispute over prices, causing mid-winter fuel shortages across Europe. Moscow also opposed Kiev's desire to become a member of NATO; the Kremlin ramped up the pressure and in October, Ukraine gave up its bid. So how strong is the anger in Ukraine over the EU deal? What is behind the recent protests? Why has Ukraine turned back to the old Soviet fold? Will the government sign a deal with Russia? Or will people's anger force Ukraine's government into yet another reversal? Inside Story, with presenter Laura Kyle, is joined by guests: Ostap Semerak, an adviser to the opposition Batkivshchyna group; Pavel Felgenhauer, a defence analyst and columnist for Russia's online news website, Novaya Gazeta; and Lilit Gevorgyan, a specialist on Russia and the former Soviet states for IHS Global Insight. "I think there were a number of factors that came into play during the negotiations. First of all because both the EU and Russia have been struggling and fighting over Ukraine .... It has put Kiev in some sort of a peculiar position where it could pick and choose which policies ... would have benefited the country the most. The issue is that economically speaking Ukraine is in a dire state and it has immediate financial assistance need .... The EU has effectively said to Ukraine that they have to go through some painful macro-economic decisions to unlock this financial assistance .... In terms of the immediate gains it appears that the Russian offer was much more appealing." Lilit Gevorgyan, a specialist on Russia and the former Soviet states for IHS Global Insight

U.S. flies two warplanes over East China Sea, ignoring new Chinese air defense zone By Craig Whitlock, Updated: Tuesday, November 26, 8:55 PM E-mail the writer The U.S. military has flown two warplanes over the East China Sea on a training exercise, the Pentagon announced Tuesday, blatantly ignoring a recent edict from China that it must be informed in advance of any such flights over the region. The two unarmed aircraft flew Monday evening, Eastern time, over a small island chain that China and Japan both claim as their territory, said Lt. Col. Tom Crosson, a Pentagon spokesman. He said the U.S. military did not provide any notice to Beijing and described the mission as “uneventful,” saying that there was “no contact, no reaction from China.” Full coverage of the revelations and debate surrounding National Security Agency surveillance programs. Click here to subscribe. On Saturday, China issued an edict imposing an “air defense identification zone” over part of the East China Sea and the uninhabited islands, known as the Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyo in China. The Chinese Defense Ministry warned that any noncommercial aircraft entering the zone would need to submit flight plans in advance or else face the possibility of “defensive emergency measures.” Japan and the United States immediately protested the move. The Pentagon, which frequently conducts naval and air exercises in the East China Sea, said it had no intention of bowing to China’s demands, calling them “a destabilizing attempt to alter the status quo in the region.” On Tuesday, the White House blasted China’s imposition of the air defense identification zone, but urged Beijing to address territorial conflicts diplomatically instead of militarily. “We believe that inflammatory rhetoric and inflammatory policy pronouncements like those made by the Chinese over the weekend are counterproductive, and we believe that those differences of opinion can and should be resolved diplomatically,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters. “It’s in the interest of all of the parties in the region to do that.” Crosson declined to identify what kind of U.S. military aircraft carried out the mission on Monday but said the planes came from a base on Guam, the U.S. territory in the Pacific. Another U.S. military official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss details of the operation, said the aircraft were both long-range B-52 bombers. Numerous countries, including the United States and Japan, have air defense identification zones of their own. The zones are established to help countries track or monitor aircraft nearing their territories, but in this case, the zones of Japan and China overlap. Security experts worry that China’s new zone could increase the likelihood of a mishap that sparks a wider armed conflict, drawing in the United States, which is treaty-bound to protect Japan. The tension with China threatens to cloud a planned trip by Vice President Biden to Beijing next week. Biden is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, in between visits to Japan and South Korea. Analysts said it was unlikely that either Beijing or Washington would want to cancel Biden’s visit. “There’s now too much wrapped up in the U.S.-Chinese relationship,” said Patrick Cronin, an analyst at the Center for a New American Security, a Washington think tank that works closely with the Obama administration. “Neither side wants to take a high risk.” Chico Harlan in Seoul contributed to this report.

No i dont support Scottish Independence I believe Scotland benefits and has allot of privileges with in the United Kingdom, the Scots would lose out allot of agricultural subsidies ,and than there is the currency issues, and the Union has served them well the past 3 centuries. As for Somaliland i believe Somaliland should remain neutral on this and should not support it nor be against it.

Scots to hear how nation could go it alone Pro-independence SNP leader to launch manifesto on how Scotland could leave UK, ahead of poll on ending 300-year union. Derek Lambie Last updated: 25 Nov 2013 21:26 Listen to this page using ReadSpeaker Email Article Print Article Share article Send Feedback The SNP leader, Alex Salmond, has long promised a debate on independence [GETTY] Ads by BetterSurfAd Options Scotland's first minister, Alex Salmond, will unveil his blueprint for independence on Tuesday in a long-awaited document he insists will pave the way for the end of the United Kingdom. Salmond is set to deliver a White Paper in Glasgow outlining his government's vision for an independent Scottish nation. Described by the ruling Scottish National Party (SNP) as a "landmark document", the 670-page publication is expected to set forth the economic, social and democratic case for leaving Great Britain. Click here for all our in-depth coverage The deputy first minister, Nicola Sturgeon, said: "Our message to the people of Scotland is simple: read it, compare it with any alternative future for Scotland and make up your own mind." The paper is also likely to address contentious issues including which currency the country would adopt, as well as how a military would be created and whether Scotland would remain part of the European Union. Voters will go to the polls next September in a referendum that could see the end of a union that has lasted more than three centuries. Salmond and his deputy will front the launch of the paper, which they liken to a "prospectus for an independent Scotland", at the Glasgow Science Centre on Tuesday morning. Its publication is being viewed by political commentators as a defining moment in what has been a bitter campaign between the pro-independence "Yes" campaign, and its "Better Together" rival. The economy has taken centre stage in the debate, with critics claiming Scotland would be left with a multi-billion-dollar black hole in its public finances as a result of leaving the union. Last month, the London-based Institute of Fiscal Studies said an independent Scotland would start life £90 billion ($145 billion) in the red as it would inherit its historic share of UK national debt. There is also uncertainty over currency. The Scottish parliament insists it would continue with Sterling, but the British government has warned it would veto any attempt. The White Paper is expected to state Scotland would take advantage of its tourism, manufacturing and vast natural resources - including wind and wave power as well as North Sea oil - twinned with business tax incentives to boost economic growth. Opinion polls have so far suggested Salmond will lose the referendum, with support for remaining in the UK standing at about 47 percent. But Henry McLeish, who served as first minister between 2000 and 2001, said the publication of the White Paper could ignite the debate and boost the Yes campaign. He told Al Jazeera: "The biggest problem so far is that people have great fears about the unknown of independence, whether that's pensions, social security, or the currency situation. "Now there will be some answers contained in the White Paper." Established in 1999, the devolved Scottish parliament has been used to enact policies including a public smoking ban, free personal care for the elderly, free medical prescriptions and a freeze in council tax. Independence would also give Holyrood, the seat of parliament, control over all other matters reserved to Westminster, such as defence, foreign policy, immigration and taxation. If Scotland does split from the union, pro-independence political leaders have already nominated March 24, 2016, as independence day.

US Iran deal, the Isolation of Israel and the New Shia power
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Ibtisam's topic in General
Doctor Kenney ,the sad part is Arabs think they actually won in 1973 war they were equally humiliated than to, they had some early strides but they were beaten back again. The Egyptians are now on the air as superior as the Israelis they posses enough military arsenal for the air brand new F16 mostly us defense aid. Economically the Egyptians are regressing because there is no reform. The Iranians are creative in the cultural sense they're moving forward they capitalize on moments such as today's even their imamite rule is pretty impressive the way power is distributed in their Islamic republic.only 11 percent of the iranians are unemployed , the iranians are moving forward whether its in technology or political its seems their way of politicking is finally paying off. -
US Iran deal, the Isolation of Israel and the New Shia power
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Ibtisam's topic in General
The sunni elites in the Khaleeji countries Sacuudi qatar kuwait the the UAE the Bahrainies have always tried to use Western support diplomatic and militaristic support, to advance their regional interests in the middle east and Abroad in terms of the economics and religious sub ideology Wahabism and Salafism. Their interest and relations with the west was most of the time parallel with that of the Israelis and the west. But the Khaljeeji Arabs always tried to use western muscle to corner Shia interest in the Middle east whether it was Hezbollah or iran or in Syria or Iraq. The west plays its own form of games playing bot the shia and suni against each other we have seen it in Iraq they tried to remove Sadam according to them he was a treat to western interest particularly US interest, they tried using Ahmed Chalabi the Shia politician but he double crossed them and channeled US secret intelligence back to the Ayatollahs in Tehran. Classified Hezbollah cannot give into western demands aslong as Israel keeps on pushing with in Sovereign Lebanese territories, when ever it wants and Israel occupation of the Golan heights in Syria makes it impossible for Syria alawi regime to normalize relations with Israel. Shia particularly led by the Imams of Iran could easily give into the demands of the west but they choose to protect their honer. There is to much at stake for the Shia it will take new leaders with new visions to bring the shia and the suni closer together, as it currently stands the Saudis want Iran to be bombed which is a problem for the entire region, because the Saudis feel that they are being undermined in the middle east.
