Corrupted Siilaanyo lays stones everywhere and makes false promises
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Saalax's topic in Politics
The current government has done allot in terms of development Somaliland is not there yet but they laid the foundations for SL to move foward there are so many projects going on in the country whether its roads. if the government manages to lease the berbera port and gets a several hundred Million dollar investment for berbera and with a reasonable time limit to lease the port, and they manage to half finish the ceerigaabo and burco road. They will be re elected. The government messed up in other fronts such as press freedom and the last local elections were not to well. We should the criticize the government in those areas, but not if they want to build several ports in Somaliland even if they are small ports. -

Somalia ambassador to Italy Muuse bows for the Italian President
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Obama is a house negro and he is by nature subservient its in his genes even if you make him the president of the most powerful country on the planet you can never change him he also bowed for the Saudi King he doesn't know he is Equal to the Saudi King and the Japanese Emperor. The US media criticized Obama for bowing the European descent Americans have a clear understand what protocol is, Obama the Kenyan has no clue. The picture you posted of the Somaliland president the is writing the condolence book of the deceased Meles zenawi at the Ethiopian Embassy in Hargeisa, i dont see him bowing do you. The Somalilander children from the very beginning of child hood are taught to keep their heads high and that they are amongst the noblest of all Humans. The aristocratic Poets of Somaliland always said . waxan ahay nin lugu beegi jiray boqol ninkisi i am equivalent to a 100 men. When talking about the Europeans the Somaliland poets said cadaankanu wada loolana madaw ciiseyn mayno we are in the same league of the Europeans not Black world.. Waanau wada loolana doesnt mean u should bow down to an Italian President the ambassador really shamed the proud people of Somalia you should condemn him if you are a proud person from Somalia. -

Somaliland need as much ports as it can build , Ethiopia is next door Somaliland should capitalize on that huge market in Ethiopia a port in Lughaya a port in berbera a port in mait and a port in laasqoray. Problem is the Somaliland opposition parties are mostly reactive they dont bring forward ideas to move SL forward , every one wants change and cut down on corruption and better development and a better prospect of the future. But i doubt the SL opposition can surpass the leading Elites of Somaliland Kulmiye. They havent brought forward what their policies are what they will do with the economy how they will create jobs for the youth how will they reconstruct the country this is all missing. Somalilanders were right on the money when they elected Kulmiye and ousted udub , because udub only held elections not a single road or a hospital was build during their reign. If Kulmiye starts the road construction and even finishes half of the road by the time of the elections they have a big chance of winning again. -

If Xunjuf was asked to solve the Somali stalemate
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
There is no Puntland factor in Somaliland Puntland is just claiming SL lands based on some clanish association with Some of Somaliland clans. But the Somalia government claims SL land based on their will to unite with Sl. thats the difference puntland is part of Mogadishu we dont distinguish pl from the rest of Somalia. Actually Somaliland is more united than the south in the Koonfurians are divided more than ever the SFG galmudug puntland shabaab jubba land lower shabelle.. Somaliland there is one land lord the SL goverment controls all the land in Somalia every one controls his or her turf there is a huge difference. Aideed in the same video u posted claims with out SNM Afweyne could not be ousted talk about shooting your self in the leg. Any way caydiid was a man who was ahead of his tribesmen , His tribes men did not knew what to do with the victory they won so they restored in killing each other destroying the capital and their resources end result protected by African union troops. Caydiid rejected the idea of being protected by the US forces and other groups but his successors Bakhti bey cuneenn really.. -
Somaliland: Berbera Port Attracts International Operators Wednesday, 19 March 2014 19:08 Submit to Delicious Submit to Digg Submit to Facebook Submit to Google Bookmarks Submit to Stumbleupon Submit to Technorati Submit to Twitter Submit to LinkedIn By: Yusuf M Hasan Somalilandsun - "The Government of Somaliland has a memorandum of understanding with Bollore up until 31 March this year to see if the two sides can reach an agreement within that timeframe on mutually acceptable terms" This is per a report by the Somaliland National TV, from an interview with Somaliland's Commerce and Investment Minister Dr Mohamed Omar, on the status of the government's negotiations with the French Port Operator, Bollore. Dr M A Omar Dr M A Omar Adding that his government wants to secure a substantial investment for the port of Berbera the country's main one, in order to take a greater role in the regional Economy Dr Omar also revealed that "if there is no deal before the end of this month (31st March), the government will consider for an open international tender and will widen up the process", thus bring onboard various other, of similar (Bollore) repute international port operators who have shown interest. Independent sources close to the government indicate that other investors interested in Somaliland Ports Development include International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) a Philippines-based port operator. ICTSI has just taken over Port Sudan and recently partnered Australia-based Anglo Ports to pursue a bid for the $1.2 billion port project, to be located at the Webb Dock East, Australia. ICTSI possess a market capital of more than $5 billion and manages and operates a portfolio of 27 marine terminals in 19 countries. Our sources also claim that there are other European and Middle East port builders and operators which are interested to bid for Berbera. Bollore African Logistics has had the favour of the Hargeisa government to the extent of having its contract attended by the head of state President Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo himself during a recent visit to France resulting in what was thought to be a concrete arrangements for works initiation. This development was followed by visits to various countries mostly in Africa where Bollore operates ports for onsite investigations by Somaliland government officials in the form of the minister of foreign Affairs Mohamed Bihi his commerce and investment colleague Dr Mohamed Omar and Berbera port General Manager Ali Horhor. With revelations that the government might consider talking to other operators if Bollore is not forthcoming by the end of March 2014 and mostly likely a negative report by Messrs Behi, Omar and Horhor is an indication that things are not as thought thence door opened for discussions elsewhere. Meanwhile to ordinary Somalilanders and most likely the government as well the point of import is the Country's ports development and not which company does it. About ICTSI International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) is in the business of acquiring, developing, managing and operating container ports and terminals worldwide. Established in December 1987 in the Philippines, ICTSI has become a leading operator, innovator and pioneer in its field. After consolidating and strengthening our base and flagship operations at the Manila International Container Terminal in the Philippines, we realized the potential for an independent international terminal operator like ourselves, and launched an aggressive international and domestic expansion program in 1994. We have a track record that confirms our ability to rapidly adapt to different operating environments, and to add substantial value to our operated terminals by enhancing their efficiency at every level. We also have the proven ability to perform beyond the expectations of central and regional governments of a privatization process, spanning both developed and emerging economies. We take pride in being a partner in the true sense of the word in the development and management of port operations with governments divesting themselves of maritime port assets by privatization or sale vehicles. If Xunjuf was asked to solve the Somali stalemate
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
if Somalia stops claiming Somaliland on paper than there is no need to distance our selves heck we could even do so much together the same way the European union cooperated but hey the southerners are not the brightest. Do you see Djibouti distancing themsevles from Somalai there is no need because Somalia doesn't claim it.once Somalia and Somaliland restore relations as two sovereign equal nations than the sky is not the limit we will go beyond the type cooperation could flourish the entire Somali peninsula the borders between Somalia and Somaliland will become mere political borders but not practical borders. And step by step a genuine union based on common interest could have been established, for the sake of both Somalia and Somaliland. But as long as people in the south want Unity where they dictate and try to under mine Somaliland and come with notions such as nalka hargeisa xamara laga daara nooh and unity based on hatred jealousy and corruption. No unity can be ever accepted or be achieved the ball is always in the court of the koonfurians. The Longer koonfurians claim SL on paper the harder the voice for separation becomes stronger and stronger, and if it goes that way for another decade or 2 i doubt we will ever even unite in the model of the Europeans. -
Hamar And Hargeisa Diaspora Invest In Their Land
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Dr_Osman's topic in Politics
Detoore you are missing the point entirely Puntland diaspora have invested in cities such as garowe and Bosaaso but Puntlanders or their business elites preferred in the early 90s to invest in Kenya Nairobi epscially many people from bosaaso having allot of trucking companies and other grocery stores. because it was much more profitable at that time. I still think Bosaaso and garowe have improved allot the past 14 years and its not only the government who did that but the diaspora. Mogadishu residents are investing for them its perfect the market is their they have the population and its only the past 3 years and they have a head start since its the capital city despite the fighting and all of that. But Jubaland is still not secure its still risky no one wants to invest capital there for now. In Mogadishu u can hire private security to protect your investment despite the insecurity there it has allot of potential. -

Why would Somalilanders hate the development of xamar, the pirate boys are really funny Mogadishu is a nice city and the SL people wish it all the best luck it can get to come back it its former Glory. Its the pirates such as Somalia rising who are opposed who cry day and night remove the capital to garowe. Somalilanders sing anagu xamar dooni meyno xumaana u geeysan mayno xuduud ba naga dhexeysa thats all.

Khaatumo forms ties with Mogadishu and Ahlu sunna waljama'a
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to malistar2012's topic in Politics
Guys khatumo is not a real issue u have to understand 2 of the former khatumu presidents are now with puntland and indhasheel wiill either come to Somaliland and ask for forgiveness or move back to Europe. Khatumo is the least of SL worries. And the damuljadid welcome any cat in Mogadishu but it means little. Cali khalif galaydh would have stayed in Xamar if there was anything for his clan there, He is now in Saint paul -

Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Why are we talking about Somaliland this is about Somalia, lets stick to the topic if any one wants to discuss Somaliland,,,i am willing to start a topic and i will school you about Somaliland but lets stick with somalia shall we Having said that people prefer the status quo Fighting shabaab with african union forces fair enough but if thats the case the Homicide attacks continue , which is a terrible situation 2 years of peace and cease fire and u could easily undermine shabaab political ideologically if you build with what you have. Give the people peace,, Doctor kenney shabaab is not more extreme than Taliban and the US is willing to start dialogue with Taliban qatar was to mediate. Shabaab is not any different than the Taliban. at the end of the day shabaab are fighting in Somalia, how messed up they are. -
