No centralism and no federalism based on clan Decentralized is the best way forward a strong government in the capital where as the local provinces can do their daily affairs on provincial level so each and every region can get its fair share and distribution from the government.

On Saturday 3rd May, Hargeisa’s Edna Adan picked up a shovel to help make seven bricks in a symbolic act representing the seven months Edna’s project team have to complete their project to build a pharmaceutical production plant in Masalaha, Hargeisa that will create a range of locally manufactured medical products for Somalilanders that were previously only available as imported goods. The new production factory is expected to create a total of 25 new full-time jobs and perhaps 10 seasonal part-time jobs once it opens for business later in the year. Providing “safe, quality assured intra-venous medical fluids made by Somalis to the highest international standards” this new venture will demonstrate that significant developments in local medical care are happening behind the scenes with Somalilanders taking responsibility for “making things happen”. With Somaliland Business Fund’s Asha Ahmed by her side, Edna joined the brick-makers and ground-works teams on site to oversee the preparation work for the construction of the new production facility in Masalaha, Hargeisa. When the bricks had been made and an inspection of the ground-works completed, Edna had this to say to Somaliland’s future entrepreneurs: “If you want to be successful in business you need to know how every job in your business needs to be done, and done well! You need to be prepared to make sacrifices to your free time, your savings, and the time you spend with your family and friends.” With the seven bricks drying in the sun and Asha Ahmed having been taught a new skill by the project’s brick-making team, Edna had a few words to say to a younger generation of potential entrepreneurs “. You need to be honest with yourself and learn from your experiences. No new project or job is easy to do well without a personal sacrifice being made, or some painful lessons being learned. If you commit to a project, or a new business you should understand that failure is not an option. Resources are finite and you need to learn how to use them to the maximum effect, or you will one day find yourself looking back with regret at lost opportunities.” Somaliland Business Fund is implemented by Landell Mills International Development Consultants, UK and managed by a Fund Management Unit (FMU) based in Hargeisa. - Somaliland Business Fund (SBF)

@DoctorKenney said: If Somaliland/Somalia talks go through, and if there is some temporary power-sharing deal for 5-10 years, and then after 5 years if a Referendum is taken in every region of "Somaliland" (including Sool and Sanaag), and if a majority of the Somaliland public wants independence, then that's something I could fully support and stand by and be happy about. Let the local people in the regions decide their own fate. The last thing we'd want is diaspora people attempting to impose their political will on the people of Somalia. I have no problem with a UN supervised referendum on independence if they are held inside Somaliland i am for it , i believe every Somalilander would welcome it i believe that's the exit way out in terms of formal recognition officially. There is even no need to share power or anything let the MOGADISHU based government represent Somalia in the eyes of the world and Somaliland will have its own government and i will even make it even sweeter Koonfurian politician can be allowed in SL and they can even rally for the union with agreed times. And in 5 years time a UN supervised for Somaliland , i believe thats a fair deal.

You mean the talks about talks, In Turkey i think its getting serious the Talks are going towards a dead end , Thats why Hassan send his tribesmen elders to Hargeysa to warm up the talks and try to convince the Somalilanders with another union. Word on the street says Hassan wants concede everything in favor of Somaliland the air traffic control aid north south aslong as the Union is kept intact, he even suggested to move the capital city to Hargeysa and that every 10 years the capital city changes. He wants to remove the Political aspect of the dispute thats why he send the Elders Hassan symbol of sending his Kin to Hargeysa has to symbolize what the Somalilanders did half a century ago to sacrifice their nation hood for the union. But i believe its to late President siilaanyo re affirmed Somaliland quest for statehood that it remains sacrosanct and that he will defend it god willing the Independence of Somaliland. For Somalilanders chasing recognition for their independence has become a national obsession young and old for Somalilanders the End goal seems to be their main target. So the talks will continue but with little results i believe this entire Year the talks will continue. And aslong as the talks remain on the facilitating level neither sides will concede much.

Somaliland needs to focus on its own country before it can speak of larger engagement and economic partnership and maybe eventually political integration. There is nothing Somalia has that Somaliland wants or to have the Union do you know Sheikh zayid wanted Bahrain to be part of the UAE to But the Bahranis refused. The Puntland claim of SL territories remains only Afka i dont see how that can be a problem. Somalilanders need to breath on their own before they can partner up with others. its not that simple Somaliland is fighting for its lost independence in 1960 , Somaliland became a region of Somalia in 1960 to correct that mistake Somaliland need to be fully independent with full recognition by all the world nations. Somaliland is not the same as Puntland or Hiiraan. Somaliland is equal to Djibouti Somalia Kilil Somalida and Kenyas north eastern The 5 Somali, speaking territories the Blue flag Symbolizes Somaliland it does not symbolize Puntland galmudug. So for Somalia and Somaliland to ever have a close relationship allot needs to happen first the wishes of the people of SL need to be respected. And we can move from there.

doctor i dont mind how Somalia governs its self its up to them , but aslong as they accept to live side by side in peace with its Neighbors Somaliland and Kenya. Than the region can live in peace i believe we should work towards and if Somalia wants the UAE model than that should be considered , the Somaliland motto was always waxad isla jeceshihin SL waa idin la jeceshahay. Somaliland and Somalia brotherhood can only be re established with the full independence of Somaliland that is the only way the trust can ever return the earlier Koonfurians accept SL the better for them the faster we can re integrate based on equality and justice and shared commonalities and common interest in the region.

@DoctorKenney said: Djibouti, Kenya and Ethiopia are adamantly against the independence of Somaliland. I don't know what you're talking about Djibouti and Somalilanders share a close kinship based on brotherly coexistence and familiy ties but there are political difference an independent Somaliland will overshadow Tiny Djibouti.. Ethiopia is a bit difficult the Ethiopians wish to befriend Somalia and Somaliland they know that Somaliland will never ever agree with Somalia so they maintain the balance between the 2, supporting Somaliland would mean they will alienate Somalia. And being hostile towards SL independence would mean they would make Somalilanders their enemies, the xabashis are smart they have studied us , they know we hate each others. But the ethiopians allow a SL diplomatic office in addis ababa accept SL passport , they never act hostile towards SL or Somalia. Supporting SL independence recognition bid will look weird on them since they are the AU seat. Kenyans are friendly towards SL independence i know allot of Kenyans and welcome it and Kenyan leaders have advised SL leaders on how to gain recognition former president kibaki for instance gave advise to rayaale.

@DoctorKenney said: The number of Koonfurians who think like this is TINY compared to the thousands, hundreds of thousands of Somalilanders who think like this. The overwhelming majority of the Koonfurians I know who are against the independence of Somaliland, don't HATE Somalilanders. They just prefer unity. But yes there are a few extremists who genuinely hate Reer Waqooyi. There are extremists everywhere. You're comparing apples to oranges saaxib Saaxib did you do a survey Somalilanders dont hate any one , they have moved on but if you trash their country they will put you in your place simple as that. There are many hateful comment i have read on youtube channels just the reaction of 18 may parties outrages many this is a fact just read hiiraan online when they post something of SL. You depict people of SL as hateful who hate koonfurians for them being Koonfurians stop being so unreasonable saaxib, your friend Puntand rising loves the pages i hate Somaliland is he also a minority ? I am just saying the feeling is mutual but it could be that some koonfurians hide their feelings but deep down they detest SL and would love to wage war against SL. Just wadna diiday and they have no means they are broken and colonized. Somalilanders are very open about their ideology they dont hide their feelings they have no uur ku qaad. In Mogadishu neighbors were butchering each other in 1991 because they kept those feelings in themselves for to long and after that it exploded. Ma fahantay Somalilanders have no taboos they speak of everything. Koonfurians pretend to feel comfortable talking about qabiil, but in reality they are oke with it. SAAXIB oday weyn baan ahay wax badan baan u so u so joogay.

@SomaliaRising said: I hate SNMland kkkkkk Very funny page. I respect their vision. So u want unity with Somalilanders while u still hate them lol, taasa la leeyahay ha i raacdo its actually sad this hatred will shape the next generation even further ,very sad when we could have created a long peace and stability and an honest union sad that will never happen. ,Somalilanders and Koonfurians will be bitter towards each other not trust each other always look behind their backs , because hatred takes different shapes every generation adds something to the existing hostilities. But look at the bright side there is healthy coexistence between DJIBOUTIANS AND Somalilanders atleast some somali speaking communities can get along .

@DoctorKenney said: Go on the Somaliland page on Facebook. Go on the SomalilandSun or other pro-Somaliland websites. Then read the comments... Wallahi you'll find countless pages of Reer-Waqooyi people trashing Somalia and the Koonfurians, laughing at whatever misfortune Somalia is undergoing, and constantly reassuring each other that Somalilanders are better than the Koonfurians. Wallahi it's actually sickening. Have u not read what Somalia social media writes about Somaliland read the comments on Hiiraan online regarding stuff on Somaliland the hateful comments two can play that game. Its action and reaction, what do you expect if Somaliland is disrespected that Somalilanders are going to say fine lets turn the other cheek no they will be hit hard and reminded the current predicament they are in. Just watch this song and the comments hateful comments coming from Somalia on the youtube channel Its just a nationalistic Somaliland song

@DoctorKenney said: If Somalilanders wanted to separate based on other interests, then I totally understand such a thing. But now we have Landers who believe they're of a higher racial stock than Koonfurians, who believe that Koonfurians are "foreigners" who should be mistrusted, who believe that they are fundamentally different from Koonfurians based on some slight cultural differences. That's what irks me. That's what irks SomaliaRising. You call Puntland "the pirate next door". Do you really think about what you're saying. Honestly, it's good that we want the best for each other. But sharing a nation with people who have this superiority complex, who believe they share nothing with Koonfurians, is not a good idea. InshaAllah your superiority complex goes away with time, and that you learn that having such beliefs is unhealthy and destructive. May the delusions of Maamulka SNM dissipate with time! Ameen But the garaad clan shares this superiority complex have u not listened to the poem i posted do you even understand afka Somaliga how old are you horta. D Somalilanders want nothing from Koonfurians absolutely zero other than living next side by side, thats all, ofcourse people are fundamentally different ma dad isku mid ah baad aragtay adigu. Ofcourse Koonfurians are Foreingers they do not belong to the Somaliland republic , are you telling me they are Somalilanders because they speak Afka Somaliga ?

@SomaliaRising said: Xaaji Somalidiid, only the clan of Caabudwaaq can crush your people sxb. Iam giving you a way out. Take it. But dont expect us to stabb in the back of Makhir, Awdal and Khatumo. We the HAGS will always support their struggle against the secessionists. We the HAGS hahaha stop claiming HAG embrace your Pirate ancestry, Somaliland holds all the territories in Somaliland , the question i ask you puntland rising what are you going to do about it ,w hat are you going to do to push Somaliland out of sool and sanaag. thats what i am wondering Pirates are all talk.

Xabashi why do the Xabashis always come up, Puntland rising your uncle used Xabashis to score points with the Enemy Tribe and as we speak now there thousands of xabashi troops in Somalia. Today Somalia is colonized by AU troops and all we hear is threats towards Somaliland why dont you man up and xiniyo intad iska baadhid confront the Kenyans and the Ethiopians maxastada haysta>? Mise raali baad ka tahay. You allowed all sort of Africans in Somalia because you are a dysfunctional community who would invite his enemy to score points against the one he claims they are his country, cajiib but overnight Wadanyin bay noqdaa ala maxa been la isku sheegeyaa

If wishes were horses beggars would ride Puntland rising why dont you take Somaliland down SL army is 16 miles away from your capital , alla faan badana iyo fatadhuug raga fara madhnaan bay dhigta. Hadalka badan intad iska daysid fire one shot towards SL and see what happens cabdi cawar isha kala na wala cawarayaa

Doctor where do you get that from that Somalilanders change subjects to their issues Somalilanders are peace loving people, who just are determined about their country and to help it up, they mean no one harm not the koonfurians not the Ethiopians not the Kenyans not the Djiboutians not the Eritreans not the Yemeni. They are just trying to make the best out of their country and if they are proud of their country its only good.

Nations are not Build on language if that was the case 23 arab states would be one Country Tigray province of Ethiopia and Eritrea would be one country Germany and Austria would be one country. Djibouti and Somaliland would be one country. Koonfurians are not the smartest Australia and new zeeland would be one country Britain and Ireland would be one country. All the Hispanic speaking countries in the Southern America would be one country. Tanzania and Kenya and other Swahili speaking countries would be one country. Xaaji xunjuf says no to nationhood based on language for its a failure Just because XX speaks a similar language to the pirate next door doesn't make us same people
-
Not true we are very different sharing a language and a religion we share with 1.6 billion, we are very different in terms of history ancestries culture traditions tribally behavior accents dialects Folkore dances. Actually is based on the Maghurtania sultanate and they are close to become independent check my thread . Puntland is basically an independent state its only in name part of Somalia. http://www.somaliaonline.com/community/topic/is-puntland-an-independent-state-cabdi-cawar-opening-a-consulate-in-yemen/
