Dahab shill he would never do that , that would mean he would Lose the entire sl markt jabuuti markt and a segment of kilil market , and he would never want to lose that market to world Remmit who’s initial market and the basis of his customers are not even Africans . I don’t know who owns pay si . I don’t think Jubba express has any market in somaliland if they choose to comply with the koonfurians I think biixi will shut them down in Somaliland , he will look the other way to Ethiopia airlines. I heard the the agaasime of the Ethiopia airline said it’s only temporarily besides muuse willl get a share in Ethiopia airlines and his nephe runs the hargeisa office , so just to stick it to the koonfurians he will take this L and fight ina other despite the disrespect of Ethiopia airlines. -

A new dawn has emerged boys and girls. In 1991, when the late Somali defunct Republic was dissolved, The Somaliland Republic chose its own path, while Somalia clung to the notion that Somaliland remained part of their fractured nation. Ironically, for the first 14 years following this dissolution, Somalia had no functioning governmen what so evert qanyare iyo yalaxow ba isku eryaneye xamar the country was engulfed in chaos, with various regions controlled by rival HAG warlords. It was only with the fake TFG presidency of Abdiqasim Salad Hassan that Somalia made its first attempt to undermine Somaliland, notably through efforts to halt Somaliland’s livestock trade with Saudi Arabia—a policy that severely crippled Somaliland's economy for years. However, by 2009, Somaliland successfully reopened its markets with Saudi Arabia, marking a significant recovery. In 2012, Somalia and Somaliland finally began diplomatic talks. The initial rounds were conducted with a sense of calm, focusing on shared concerns such as security and piracy. However, these discussions failed to address the more contentious issues dividing the two Countries . Since 2024, under the Bunker administration in villa wardhiiglay relations have deteriorated dramatically. When Somalia classified Somaliland alongside extremist groups like Al-Shabaab, it became clear that the gloves were off. Prior to this, Somalia had already sabotaged funds intended for Somaliland from the European Union. Though the relationship between the two governments was never harmonious, it remained stable; political tensions were high, yet the people of both regions coexisted with a degree of mutual respect, and movement between the two was still possible. How ever the bunker is trying to fund Dawarsi state with the help of disgruntled indvidiuals who hail originally from Somaliland. Unfortunately, this delicate balance is now in jeopardy. Somalia bunker govt has adopted an overtly hostile stance toward Somaliland, declaring war on all fronts. Somaliland, however, stands prepared, with its people displaying a renewed sense of unity in the face of these recent aggressions. This escalation is likely to fuel further conflict on multiple fronts, especially with the potential deployment of Egyptian forces to Somalia, which could further antagonize Ethiopia and exacerbate regional tensions.

Sweden has been asked to prevent conflict and war Somalia create the Somaliland and Ethiopia deal by Qaran News | Aug 22, 2024 The Swedish government has been asked to prevent conflict and war Somalia is creating by the cooperation agreement between Somaliland and Ethiopia. Member of Parliament Markus Wiechel who presented a question to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Tobias Billström in the Swedish Parliament on 20 August 2024, demands that he take diplomatic measures to prevent the conflict in Somalia. Hon. Wiechel’s questions reads as follows; The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ethiopia and Somaliland, which among other things gives Ethiopia access to the port of Berbera, a very important port on the Gulf of Aden adjacent to the Red Sea, will have far-reaching diplomatic and humanitarian benefits in a strategically very important location. This agreement opens up positive effects that affect millions of people in the region and also has the potential to benefit relations between this region and Europe, and not least Sweden. Ethiopia has a central role in the region as one of Africa’s most populous nations and a rapidly growing economy. By gaining access to a strategically located port, the country’s capacity to participate in global trade is strengthened, which can result in economic growth, improved infrastructure and a strengthened trade balance. It reduces costs and increases the efficiency of import and export operations, which directly affects food security and can improve the standard of living of millions of people. Cooperation between Ethiopia and Somaliland also promotes regional integration and security, which is important for stabilizing the Horn of Africa, a historically turbulent region. Stability in Ethiopia and its vicinity means a reduced risk of conflicts and humanitarian crises, which of course has a positive impact outside the region as well. For Sweden and Europe, a stable and economically stronger Ethiopia means improved trade relations and new investment opportunities. It can lead to increased imports of Ethiopian goods and open doors for European technology and expertise to contribute to local development, including a green transition. Stability in the region also reduces migration and refugee pressure towards Europe through improved living conditions in the home countries. What is worrying in this situation is the fact that Somalia’s unelected president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has threatened war, as well as approached both Turkey and, most recently, Egypt to strengthen their military capabilities. It is thus a dictator, whose ministers include former terrorist leaders, who, despite having no control over his own territory, is prepared to invade the most democratic country in the region. Worse yet, there is extensive evidence that Somalia is at risk of continuing the ethnic cleansing of Somaliland’s dominant clan (Isaaq) that began during dictator Siad Barre’s time in power. In light of the above, Foreign Minister Tobias Billström is requested to answer the following question: Can the Minister consider taking diplomatic steps to prevent Somalia from starting an unnecessary war or possible genocide, and if not, what steps can we expect from the Minister and the Government? The question of MP Wiechel published on the website of the Swedish Parliament said that the response of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Md. Tobias is expected on September 2, 2024. Source Horntribune

Somalilanders outside of Ethiopia use the Ethiopian airlines more then any other country in the Horn , so Ethiopia airline gets is revenue from Somaliland , So Somaliland should make some bold statements and tell the Ethiopians we bring u the revenue respect our name and Our Sovereignty if they dont we can simply ban them and shut down their office and then stop their airline coming to Somaliland. But some how i dont think Biixi will do this lets see what happens the next coming days .. -

A new dawn for Maakhir after SSC, Awdal emergence.
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Arafaat's topic in Politics
The situation with Hassan Sheikh Maxamuud is quite intricate. His stance on Jubbaland is clear he never really truly desired its existence, as it lies beyond his sphere of influence plus the Kenyan involvement . Similarly, regions like SSC and Maakhir, along with any other potential states, also fall outside his control. His brief engagement with Khatumo was merely a tactic to undermine Deni, and when that strategy failed, he abandoned them without hesitation. Hassan Sheikh is wary of any additional opposition to his administration, particularly from the D-block clan groups . He perceives the creation of another D-block state as a direct threat to his authority and would strongly resist such a development. His animosity toward Ina Bixi, especially after being betrayed in the MOU affair, runs deep. He might even attempt to persuade Bixi to delay the MOU's implementation, urging him instead to focus on restoring Somaliland first. And he would Assist Biixi with this. Hassan Sheikh is undeniably a shrewd operator, a calculated crook who masks his cunning with a smile. He is acutely aware of the potential power shifts that could arise if rival D Block clans grow stronger than his own establishment, posing a risk to his political position. Thus, he may be willing to offer Somaliland significant concessions—financial support, military assistance, and a special arrangement for aid—anything except diplomatic recognition. Reports from the Djibouti talks december 2023 suggest that discussions were held regarding Somaliland's status as a special autonomous republic within Somalia, with its own laws and a distinct status. Hassan Sheikh understands the influence of Puntland and aims to keep it weakened, allowing him to impose his new constitution with greater ease. In his vision, there is no place for SSC within his broader agenda. The future of Maakhir and Khatumo remains uncertain—whether they will survive with limited support from Puntland or eventually merge with it as a last resort is yet to be seen. Time will reveal the outcome, but Hassan's approach remains steadfast, only disrupted by the recent MOU developments. -

Districts can’t become mamuul goboleed if u bend the rules for one qabil besides hassan sheikh no matter how much he dislikes somaliland and Ethiopia political alliance he shall never support another d block clan state that will jeapordise his presidency or the unuka organisation . ceerigaabo rag ba leh. We heard Ahmed karaaash talk about it. Let him come. Ceerigaabo Waxa ka taliya since 1989 ina xaaji nuur cid ugu imanaysa na ma jirto siilaanyo tried to remove so did cigaal do u think the small Garaad clan is a match for big beards bal ha is keenan. If the breach the 1993 agreement they signed they can prepare for war and this time it’s gonne be very ugly it isn’t the Somaliland republic that is doing the fighting it will be the mighty habar jones clan that will be doing much of the fighting -

Well I have never liked the idea of giving territory to Ethiopians they have a track record of claiming things that aren’t theirs . The other issue I have with the deal is with the galla becoming more fierce and more belligerents even their beggars in hargeisa are talking with so much kibir I never really endorsed the idea just entertained the benefit of the doubt since I trust bixii to the nation right but I don’t trust abiye and the gallas one bit the fact and the disrespect is that they even go to Ankara and talk about it with Somalia is a disrespectful to Somaliland . All in all somaliland should just help Somalia with this issue and stop the whole thing . And negotiations with Somalia and somaliland should begin imediatly I think we have shown good will with this but they should then stop stalling and. Agree with a 5 year plan to come with a solution for our conflict . Now they don’t have to sell any more of their resources with military treaties with foreign countries it’s a win win
