  1. Thanks for replying back. I now the auther is Somalilander and the sources you got it from is from Pro-Somalilander website. What i was pointing to was that it was opinion article in the website from that person point of view on situation in somaliland. I dont not thing using it as debate point to waterdown somaliland issue was correct on your point. What you were pointing and using to back your claim against somaliland is a simplistic view old boy. Like i said its easy to paint a small picture of something and claim it to be true. I am glad you expect achievements made by us Landers. For Caamir, dont have a uff and puff on the terms somalilanders and somali lol. Somali is my Ethnic identity but not my national one old boy. When i say somalilander i see it as an egyptian see themselves or as Moroccan classifies themselves. Case point in the Egyptians and Moroccans is that while they are ethnically Arab they call themselves in terms of their national identity not ethnic thus while i am somali ethnically my nationality is form somaliland thus i am somalilander get it. So your question what i prefer to be called old by is somalilander because thats the nation i represent ethnically you can call me somali lol
  2. Duke this thread is something i would never expect from you lool. Its clear that you are unionist by heart but i have noticed that you search high and low on anything to water down the brightness of Somaliland. The birth of somaliland was celebrated throughout the world by somalilanders and somalis. The bridge in expecting the existences of somaliland is slowly being expected by other somalis. The amazing achievements as you correctly pointed out is something rarely found in developing nations that faced war and a civil war too. That by itself is also another facter landers should celebrate. Your points that somaliland did not achieve any real strides in domestically, economically or in foreign affairs cracked me up because of how ridicules its sounds old boy. Let me break it down for you ok Strides made by somaliland domestically is to be the first nation or in your case Duke (area)lol to have three democrataic elections local, region and national which seen by the outside world from the U.S. to the E.U to be free and fair compared to lets say our neighbors, such as Ethopia, Djubuti and Erteria. Three Universites came to be with in somaliland. Somalis all over come to Amoud Unveristy, Hargaisa University and Buro Unveristy with more being built throughout the region. Before the creation of somaliland no university and i will repeat it one more time for you No Universties existed in the north expect for the Capatil. The biggiest thing of all that happened that you fail to see is peace happened with the creation of the state, no war no fight no death domestically. economically, the explosion of Telcom Business, Airlines operated Privately the first in nation were as before the state owned the air lol. Money wiring companies like Dashbil, restaurants, hotels, i can go on and on with what the private sector as done old boy for the people even more the government. Even Al-jezeria did a program on Somaliland economic boom, one of my brothers here posted it on SOL so you should check it out. Foregin affairs wise while we are not still recognized, somaliland officials have meet with Presidents, Parliamentarians of other nations from Ghania, UK, Kenya and Ethiopia. Links were made with Ethiopia, Djubuti and trade to gulf such as UEA for goods. U.N. uses the somaliland port to transport food over land when the seas are to dangerous. The somaliland vice president meet with lord Tiresman in UK this May 16, Denemark or Sweden i forgot which one of them will be dealing with aid with somaliland Separate then with Somalia. So somaliland foreign policy is growing and changing for what it was back in 1991 with no nation not even looking at us to them now engaging us. So brother Duke in closing dont use what this brother wrote as fact as end all to be all. The author is worried on the leadership of somaliland, the securing of the eastern border, the aspect of the government of tring to control the economey instead of the letting the free market work, all these are vaild points but they are only part of the over all picture of what is happening in somaliland. In your region employees from the policeman to the officer are not payed, so should assume the Puntland state will fall, Banditry occurs should i assume the state will fall if i travel around your state or take a ship and go through your waters. My point being Duke, taking opinion articles and brushing what the author says as the true picture on the ground is foolish to use as debate point, i myself can find articles about the wrongs of Puntland by puntlander, should i claim it to be all 100% pictures on the ground? Opinion surves to give us view points on how others view issue but they are as i stated before the end all to be all of things. So will close by saying happy May 16th AKA (The best kept secret in Africa) Somaliland
  3. That shows you how divided a people we are clearly tisk tisk. Anyway it was great day yesterday happy birthday somaliland.
  4. Regardless, the future of somalia and somaliland remains a unknown lets just hope what ever it turns out is good for both people.
  5. What do you mean somaliland does not like U.S. Supporting the TFG and Reconclilation talks lol brother. Why are you hot and botherd from my comments Duke, i have never seen you mad like this old boy lool. Any the U.S. involment is only their due to the worry of the return of the ICU old boy. The U.S. wanted the ICU gone and is supporting the TFG to make sure it stays gone lol. For the up coming talks i somaliland as no issue with it let the clans in the south sort out thier differences and be in peace with each other thats something somaliland is not scared of and for elections in 2009 somaliland is also support of it for the simple fact that the TFG needs a good clean out of bad leaderships starting from the president down to the prime minsiter lol. So your points are really not strong old boy. The U.S. has talked with the TFG and Somaliland. They know somaliland views clearly and unless you are President of the U.S. dont assume what the U.S. policy is for Somaliland is lets wait and see shell we cause so far i have seen a slow move in the separtation of somaliland from somalia.
  6. Duke, the U.S. has wait and see policy in regards to Somalia. With the current problems in Iraqi i dont really feel the U.S. is jump into hard putting back together all they want is for Somalia not be terrorist heaven. In the case of Yemen we all know their postion which is arab league postion about having somalia as one, Ethiopia on the other hand has a diplomatic office in somaliland and deals with somaliland apart from the TFG. And for Uganda its has troops their so its obvious they will have some sort of link with the TFG. But like a stated before in the end i feel their will be two separte nations in th horn of africa with the world staying out of it and allowing both somaliland and somalia talk with each other.
  7. Indeed Jacaylbaro, the U.S., E.U. and A.U. over all know the facts on the ground in Somalia and Somaliland. In both cases all three clearly state that the issue in southern somalia most be put in order first IE you have special envoys running back and forth their. In interviews when they talk about the somaliland issue they clearly state that both groups IE (recongizing the somaliland side) must talk to one another about future relationships between each other. This here clearly states that World body will not come between the issue between the two which leaves the only option of talk that i belive in the end will lead to somaliland leaving the union. Their is nothing i can picture that somalia can offer that make somaliland rejoin. When somaliland is independent they can get aid and loan from the world bank, companys can conduct work their and i feel the nation will explode in faster development then it is getting now with no aid from the outside world today.
  8. your slide commentS is nothing but humors sayid. What ever you belive is up to you but fore me July 1st means no more as May 18th means to you old boy. Somalilanders all over the world are cheering this day, Cheap comments and weak jokes does not change this fact.
  9. I see the haters are coming out the wood work lool. Hate it or love it somaliland is here to stay. Sang had people marching for Somaliland and Sool was quite as usual nothing for or against somaliland sorry to burst your bubble sayid. The people are having fun today and tonight let the fun last babyyyyyyyyy. Somaliand happy birthdayyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
  10. this reconcililation should work on sorting out the south in order after words look at having talks with somaliland
  11. Trah day lool very funny coming from somali thinking in trahy way huh Naxar Nugaaleed. You Nugaaleed are clear example of what in the U.S. we term a Hater. Your hate for the amazing road and joruney a people made from the ruins of war to peace and democracy is something you cant stand. Terms like trash day you use to put down what this day means to many supports for somaliland only shows to all ths SOL members how trashy and tacky you are. Even unionst like Duke dont go down to this child like behavior you have shown. So i tell you and all others that act like you that this is not Somalinet, thus respect for one another should be held and if you wish not to due so be ready for reply backs to your comments old boy.
  12. DUKE you talk about federal system as key well if that region says no, and it is doing well not harming no one then i say the TFG has no choice but to walk away with this crazy policy of theres
  13. This topic is foolish if they want us to remeber this sad day puntland should also remeber the sad day in Xmar thats occuring now, Somaliland in 1988 and so forth.
  14. TFG has no say on bring in weapons. Somaliland as been well on its own with government, police force and army, and know this bunch is talking about turning in weapons dont make me laugh, even the EU, AU and the United States and there buddy ethiopia wont back them up on this for the simple fact somaliland is not Xmar. Ethiopia had fear of Xmar and went in, for the case of somaliland they have no such worries what ever the reasons good or bad. Second point is the TFG cant even get Puntland to disarm. TFG is only making more enemies then friends within somali soceity.
  15. Africa, Africa, Africa How come we always pick the thugs and butchers to walk free shame on TFG for allowing a man with his past in government. Its funny they talk about reconcilations for somalis but yet they apoint the same men that brought death in power wooow. Emperor your comments are coming from view that lead to the state of somalia today. Somaliland and Kismayo threatened by him please were in did you get that idea from, cause the reality is different. That man cant enter those areas without the fear of being killed. Amazing that a somali as to fear were he goes huh Emperor. The weaknest of the TFG is its lack of support by the full of somali soceity and its appointment of people like morgan in government. If there is free democractic elections for somalia i know for sure no one would vote for all those men in the TFG.
  16. Geedi is doing what all fellow african leaders do, which steal money of the people for himself lol
  17. Looks like little bit of clash between Foreign Minister and Prime Minister of appointments without his imput. What is you guies input who is right who is wrong.
  18. Duke you sound like George Bush and Rumsfield talking about media reports about Iraqi lool
  19. but the reason for what you wrote is not coming from good place, i leave at that.
