Somaliland: Cigaal international airport gets massive uprgrade+PICTURES
Qaranki replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
When your entire govt budget is around 150 million dollars, talking about building airports to match Heathrow is just laughable. I only agree that stuff like this should be publicised. -
How HOA conflict is linked to the wider Zionist-ME conflict.

Rather than "bin the Somaliweyn idea" why not reinvent it? Will the idea of Somaliweyn forever be hijacked by the "Somalia ma la goynkaro" despite the past 20-30 years and the disaster that is the dual-track policy by the US showing Somalis can't just get along. As for the video, the conservative MP is the typical western hawk spouting rubbish about the threat about the islamist threat, I felt Jeremy Corbyn (guy wearing the red suit) laid out the facts and origins of the problem in the horn of africa. -

Just saw a report of this on Somali Channel, indeed Al Shabab looked to be in Dayniile, strolling about calmly.

“Hal maalin kuma darsan kartid… hal maalin, hadii aad ku darsatidna waan u sheegayaa Isimada, waan u sheegayaa dadweynaha, waxan u sheegayaa indheer garadka, wixii dalka ka dhaca adaa mas’uul ka ah” ayuu yidhi Samatar. He should be barred from running on that quote alone. -

The point is : That people can disagree with their president, especially when he adds on another year , and should be allowed to voice out their position peacefully. If anything, it shows level of democratic maturity not seen much of elsewhere (And believe me this is not a sin on my part.) -
"having supreme, independent authority over a geographic area, such as a territory" That quote alone shoots down whatever the TFG is supposed to be.
-
And who do you think is responsible for outing these corrupt politicians? Isn't it the govt itself? That alone shows there is an effort to stamp out corruption when the natural course of action in many truly corrupt parts of the world is to sweep it under the rug.

No Recognition for Khaatumo official TFG pressconference
Qaranki replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
This discussion is just proof of the sham that is Somali unity especially from the ones who claim to be its standard-bearers. "Somalia ha midoowdo, Somalia ha is raacdo...........................erm aniga intaa leh, reer hebel baa halkan leh, anagaa leh ee ka bax" Let's be honest and say Somali unity is just a way of ensuring your clan doesn't get left behind by making sure everyone is chained together. -
Both parties must be honest and accept a few home truths. The south must accept that SL does not want to part of a Somalia and SL must accept that there are regions which they are claiming that does not want to secede with them. If an agreement can be reached that both parties stop claiming what does not want them, then they can peacefully part ways.

So Amin Amir changed the original pic when he heard Silaanyo's speech. What a climb down from Mr Amir.
