Don't you think? I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen him review it or base one of his articles on it. One wonders why he places so much emphasis on what this foreigner writes as opposed to what the collective Somali population has gone through. Should the the injustices that have been inflicted on every clan by every clan go unheard if there is a book which looks at only one's family's suffering? http://www.wardheernews.com/book-review-clan-cleansing-somalia-ruinous-legacy-1991/

Your responses show that you haven't read the article but still want to dismiss due to a choice quote I picked out, the funny thing is if you do happen to read it I think you'll look back see your error.

Indeed. Why don't you read the article in full and maybe look at the bio of the author before dismissing it.

A very informative piece on what's taking place in Turkey - http://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2013/06/talking-turkey/ But – and this is what it is never in the interest of Western politicians to understand – Government bad does not equal protestors good. A very high proportion – more than the British public realise by a very long way – of those protesting in the streets are off the scale far right nationalists of a kind that make the BNP look cuddly and Nigel Farage look like Tony Benn. Kemalism – the worship of Ataturk and a very unpleasant form of military dominated nationalism – remains very strong indeed in Istanbul. Ataturk has a very strong claim, ahead of Mussolini, to be viewed as the inventor of modern fascism

Listening to the opening stages of the interview and I have to say what has been reported looks like it has been exaggerated. So far in the interview Samatar has said he was invited by the UK govt to write a paper on who he regards as the stakeholders of Somalia, resigned from the parliament, looking to go to his home town of Gabiley + go to Puntland as well as he doesn't want to confine himself to Xamar.....

I’m perplexed. The Khatumo ideology dictates that the holy land of Khatumo was the birthplace of Somali nationalism and the state of Somalia itself, with the struggle of creating a ‘Greater Somalia’ still ongoing, therefore any politician who traces their lineage back the clan which inhabits this area CANNOT pledge allegiance to anything but the blue flag and legitimise the ‘infidel borders’ of the British. So why are some happy with a woman who has done exactly that but angry against others who have done the same thing?

Che -Guevara;937621 wrote: "Somalia however still owes some $352 million to the Fund" Really? As the article says "relations broke after the civil war in the 90s", meaning when there was last a recognised government - Barre's regime. All the things people say Barre did that made the country 'great' or his government 'did' for the people, do you think that money came from thin air or fell down from trees? All those who governed from independence up until the collapse of Barre's regime in 91 consisted of begging for money from the IMF, the World Bank, or whatever superpower it was client to. I read an article the other day which said the UN has assigned some lawyers for the Arab states which had leaders deposed so that they can go after all the money stashed away in bank accounts across the world, I think the Somalia government should ask for such assistance, you never know how much money could be out there, it'll help pay of that debt.

Looks like he's been busy with a dissertation judging by the latest wardheernews article.

I'm currently waiting on a package from DHL and was on their website, I decided to go on the world map they have on the countries they serve when to my surprise I saw, well take a look for yourselves - http://www.dhl.com/worldmap/intro.html#/SOL/performance

There's a difference between badmouthing and making an allegation. Somali 'journalists' think you say can whatever you want and if you are called on it get NUSOJ to release a statement on your behalf.
