^^^ You lots just proved my points lool, i give strong point and you guys come back with (Who will recognize three cities for a country) or (If TFG is not letting you go, that is not the problem of SSC/Maakhir). And you guys wonder why somalilander want nothing to do with you lots. Let me break it down to Zack first and i come to you Som@li. Zack those three cities are in three large areas within Somaliland. One city as port, the other city is the live stock center of the region and last city is the political and bussiness hub. Somaliland is bigger then Djibouti, economically more viable then Eritrea and politically more viberant the Somalia lol. I know this, UN knows this, EU knows this and U.S. government IE dual track approach for Somaliland. You also proved my point that underlies of self determination you say for SSC regions its reality about keeping this weak Somalia territorial integrity nonsense. Somaliland can give you the moon and the stars and still voice claims that somalliland cant be independent because of this or that. Get this Territorial integrity nonsense out and somaliland and Somalia can peacefully resolve and live in peace with each other. Som@li your not my problem view only shows you dont care about having peace between somalis. For types like you its only about getting what you want and damn the hell with the rest, you fit your username nicely because you do have a somali mentality, of me only. I am not surprised with thinking like that why somalia is in flames now

lol (being their overseas territory) thats your answer so funny. Know one has seriously answered my points ADWAL is cut off from Somalia and i serious doubt that we let people who dont support somaliland cross back an forth to Somalia. Seriously people. They join the TFG they will be marginalized (say hello to the .5), they are cutt off, and no development support, so far its somaliland that has been supporting the Adwal region, brign peace, free eduation, bussiness. But hey why am i saying this to you lots cause on the ground clan elders, political leaders, the bussiness community all support Somaliland by bad lol

The are several factors i have learned reading this posts. One that you unionst do expect Somalialnd right to be apart from Somalia only if regions within it that supporty unionst view are left alone. I for one dont want no group that does not want to be part of Somaliland to be forced, the only reason i feel we waste money are resources is becuase of the "British Somaliland borders" which we need to be independent. The sad fact is even if we let Parts of Sool and Sang go i doubt the TFG would say (Ok Somaliland is Independent). Do you lots who are suppoters of SSC really think if Somaliland let these parts go that individuals and leadership in the TFG or Puntland will say ok you are your own nation. How many times have i heard the shouts of (territorial integrity) be shouted out by people of the south, people of Puntland, people of SSC. If it was that simple a long time ago we would have said "Ok you dont want to be with us goodbye" by Unionst use the line of PROTECTING SOMALIA TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY in stopping Somaliland from being free. So i say to you DIE HARD UNIONST, DROP THE SOMALI TERRITORAL INTEGRITY TALK, GO OUT AND VOICE TO THE TFG, PUNTLAND AND THE WORLD THAT AREAS WITH FULL SUPPORT OF INDPENDENCE IN SOMALILAND SHOULD BE LET GO. But for some odd reason i doubt that will happen from you guys.

I have two questions for the so called Awdal State supporters, some please help to answer them. 1. Adwal is in the far end of west of somaliland, it next Djubuti and in the west and on its easter side is Somaliland area where the" I" clan are the majority. So how can Adwal connect with the rest of somalia if a huge area of land between them is Pro-Somaliland. In the case of SSC the are closer to somalia distance wise and Puntland but not for Adwal. So will the Adwal group that support a state on their own build a big bridge over somaliland to Somalia proper or will they have to pay few or charges for crossing. 2. Second point is that unlike SSC the clan elder support Somaliland, the bussiness community supports somaliland, political leaders of Adwal support Somaliland, People of Adwal of inter married with people in Hargisa and so forth, 20 years of development of peace as come to this area how is reconnecting with Somalia which currently disfunctional inter fighting with each other good for Adwal. Is it not supporters of Somalia mocked former president from your region as killer and murder. How in a TFG forumla will your people be represented will you allow your people to be the .5 forumula. Dont forget they are througing many other clans under the *** clan who claim they are not ***. In clossing while some people may have issue with how the current government is spreading power among the clans, the current government is aware and will be dealing with the issue, development projects are happening in Adwal and people in the West that are screaming of a state of their own will see in the long runn it would not be wise for their people. I doubt Ethiopia would want to see issue spreading to Somaliland, with the already issue of SSC and people seriously do you think the TFG will support it, lol they are trying their best to keep Somaliland within Somalia anything that can further push somalilanders in wanting out they will. In closing i am a die hard somalilander, if Adwal wants to go then go is my stance our three cities that you lot always claim and population in them is eough for somaliland to survice. We have a port, areas that can grow food, a growing bussiness sector with live stock, oil off berbera, natural gas. So i have the question for you lots areas that fully support Somaliland will you lots say somaliland should be free or will you still say Somaliland is part of Somalia. Answer me this please.

Listen i got nothing against Somalia, or its people and yes this thread is poking fun of them which is wrong. inshallaha the people in the south will get back on their feet. For Somaliland a peaceful south is good for us in that we can have diplomatic relations with them and have a partner in letting us become a independent state.

Based on the Bestselling Book by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn; Production in Six Countries With Star Power From America Ferrera, Diane Lane, Lucy Liu, Marisa Tomei and More SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 17, 2011) - ITVS (Independent Television Service) announced today that it, along with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, has made a significant investment in Half the Sky, a primetime television special and multi-platform project based on New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn's widely acclaimed book, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. The two-part, four-hour broadcast will premiere as a special presentation of the Emmy® Award-winning PBS series Independent Lens in fall 2012 as a cornerstone of Women and Girls Lead, a multi-year engagement campaign led by ITVS to leverage the power of documentary storytelling to increase the leadership and development of women and girls worldwide. "This is a project that means the world to Sheryl and me, and represents 20 years of travel, research and writing. We are proud to partner with public television to bring awareness to what we see as the greatest moral challenge of our time," said Nicholas Kristof, New York Times columnist and Pulitzer-prize winning author. "More girls have been killed in the last 50 years, precisely because they were girls, than men were killed in all the battles of the twentieth century -- we hope Half the Sky will be a call to conscience for anyone who reads the book, watches the documentaries, or engages with the online content and social media," said Pulitzer-prize winning author Sheryl WuDunn. Half the Sky's television and online life will build on the success of the best-selling book, which has been through 37 printings with more than 430,000 copies sold and translated into more than 14 languages. The broadcast event will be accompanied by a groundbreaking game hosted on Facebook and mobile games for India and Africa created in partnership with Games for Change. The U.S. and international broadcast will be amplified by social media, interactive tools, and community engagement on the ground in 100 U.S. markets and selected cities worldwide. Additionally, over 40 educational short films are being created in partnership with more than 54 NGOs for wide-reaching use among targeted communities across the global south. "Viewers turn to PBS for programs that enlarge their world and deepen their understanding," said Sally Jo Fifer, President and CEO of ITVS. "Half the Sky tells the extraordinary stories of women and girls on the front lines of the fight against poverty and gender inequality across the global south and here in the U.S. who have risen above these circumstances to better our world. It is a perfect match for the engagement-driven goals of public media." Some of today's finest actors and spokespeople have been tapped to engage with the subjects on the ground and help viewers connect with the issues at hand, including Diane Lane, who recently traveled to Somaliland, America Ferrera who will soon travel to India, and in scheduling talks are -- Nicole Kidman, and others. Each actor will accompany the production team and Kristof or WuDunn on location to one of six countries in the global south -- and WuDunn will spearhead the production of stories surrounding these issues here in the U.S. Acclaimed actor and humanitarian George Clooney will provide narration for the series. Marisa Tomei and Lucy Liu have directed short films based on women profiled in Half the Sky, which will be part of a larger online content strategy to be released over the course of the campaign. "I am so deeply moved and inspired by the work that Nick and Sheryl do on behalf of women all over the world," said actress America Ferrera. "ITVS and PBS are sure to save and inspire many lives by bringing these incredible stories to their audience. I'm honored to be a part of it." "I feel a sense of honor and excitement to be part of a program that will bring these critical human rights issues to a larger television audience," said acclaimed actress Diane Lane. "Traveling with Nick was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I could not pass up. My experience with Edna Adan in Somaliland has been eye opening and awe-inspiring. In order to fully understand these issues, it is crucial to see them firsthand." The multi-platform project is a Show of Force production with Fugitive Films. Show of Force is the award-winning company and talent behind recent PBS mini-series events Circus and Carrier. Half the Sky is executive produced by Maro Chermayeff, Mikaela Beardsley, and Jamie Gordon. In addition to ITVS and Corporation for Public Broadcasting, supporters of Half the Sky to date include: IKEA Foundation, Ford Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Hewlett Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, Nike Foundation, NoVo Foundation, and USAID. Pro-bono support has been provided by Waggener Edstrom and the United Nations Foundation. Picture of the star: http://media.marketwire.com/attachments/201105/MOD-26307_IMG_03841.jpg
