CS Subxaana laah is amazing how people can change words around. I never said is ok to stink plz look carefully what I said. In islam hygiene is important & is part of the sunna like I said b4. the prophet scw said many times hygiene is compulsory. so wat I meant was perfume & catars were forbidden for women. & that doesn't mean they could stink not at all. It means they should maintain their body hygiene & waa in la karaahsanin their odors. So next time don't jump to the conclusion unless u r 101% sure where u hitting with ur sword. Quote "and believe me there is nothin' attractive about B.O., and nobody in their right mind would follow that kind of example & it seems to me u got other things against hijaab sisters. Look I don't see anything that is wrong with them including their odors Alhamdulilah we smell good & may Allah protects us (Amin). Whether u like it or not Allah ordered ladies to cover, some sisters wear ninja or niqaab which is part of the sunna (occording to the scholars). if u have problem with it then is ur problem but no way we can't change wat Allah ordered. Quote "It is one thing to sound smart and knowledgeable, and another thing to blind yourselves to the obvious." why don't u take ur own advise. Peace no hard feelings.

The Rock's Chick Yeah it is a sin if u ware a perfume or catar or anything that smells good & go out where there is non muhrim guys, cuz it will cause attraction & here is an ayah. “And reveal not their adornment save such as is outward; and let them cast their veils over their bosoms” (24:31) surah An nur.

lo@concerned sister dhiq dhiq dhiq kix kix kix let me catch my breath first oh god that was funny. First of all the covered sisters don't wear the hijab cuz they r lazy to clean themselves that just propaganda. Secondly don't generalize all the sisters just say some. Thirdly those sisters don't wear perfume or catar cuz is sin if a non muhrim guy smells it. for that reason in hot day I think it makes hard for them to eliminate all the unpleasant odors especially if they had long day at work. Fourthly some of those sisters use baqaaq I don't know if u know what I mean which is not attractive smell, they use it for their close & body to eliminate the bad odor. Maybe I think u smelled baqaaq + dhidid which smelled.....Allahu yaclam. Next time u see them in that condition ask them & tell them as well cuz is ajar for u. Athena sis don't generalize all the sisters. I aware hijab & thank god my hair is absolutely hygienic & so as many sisters I know. We do clean our hair & body is part of the suna, so safe the comment. Is just rumors that other uncovered sisters use against us .
  6. what a Embarrassing my favorite team Saudi Arabia has lost badly dam is like nightmare the team I knew wasn't on the filled playing with Germany. What a embarrassing oh loard. Now i am hoping African team will do better insha Allah.

  8. I agree with youse beating a child is absolutely wrong. Infact when u beat them up they get worse such as talking your back, sticking their tongue, calling u names when u not around & etc. the other thing is u teaching them the only way to solve a problem is by violence. How often we see a child that is practicing what the pranced told him not to do, when they’re around the child will never deer to do cuz he/she knows they will be beaten. But what is the use if they still do it behind your back. Wouldn’t be better solving the problem by trying to make them understand the reason they can not do it rather than hitting them? I also think kids shouldn’t be given too much freedom. Like magnoona_girl said they should be punished in different ways such as:- no play time, no visiting friends, no Nintendo & etc. the other thing is kids shouldn’t not be kept in dark for example in our culture we don’t communicate with kids very often we push them a way. & that causes a huge effect on the kids, they need to be communicated & welcomed. Pushing them away by thinking they r kids, u will lead them to fall them in the hands of enemy teaching them all the bad things.

    Ladies only!..

Indhadeeq, Barwaaqo & liban Yeah I know it is unclear to me as well don’t know what the sheikh really means. I never heard such thing as raped with her consent b4. A part from that everything else he explained really well. The entire article is his replay towards the question I asked regarding, pregnancy after rape. I didn’t want to cut that sentence off, thought since it isn’t my own I might as well post it without interfering. The rest of the article explains really well about the abortion terms & if she was raped is not her fault & is not allowed abortion. Our mine aim was to know whether abortion is allowed in this case or not. Guess we got our answer. ------------------ "Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith." Ladies only!..

As we all wondered what is the right thing to do if this happens to u (got raped). It is really good question & a one to be aware of. So I asked one of the scholars at Islamweb fatwa section & here is what he had to say:- Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. If the lady is raped with her consent, then causing abortion means committing another sin and a new crime. So, she has to repent sincerely and seek Allah’s pardon. But, if she is raped as you said this means that she is not to blame for the sexual act as the rape implies that it is by force against her wish. However, regarding the abortion, it is prohibited (Haram) if the soul has already been breathed into the fetus. She is to resort to the law enforcement agencies to complain against the aggressor, if possible. We pray to Allah to help her in this crisis. Abortion can be in two states. Each one has a special ruling. The first state: having a miscarriage after the soul is breathed into the fetus. Abortion in such a case, without a bit of difference among scholars of Islam, is completely Haram except in the following two situations: 1) If the pregnancy, according to reliable doctors of medicine, will cause certain harm to the mother. 2) If the fetus, according to reliable doctors, died in the mother's womb. So, it becomes clear that scholars of Islam do not legalize abortion due to deformation or serious sickness that prevents the fetus to live. Such an action (abortion) will be considered a form of killing the soul which Allah has forbidden. Allah forbid! The second state: having a miscarriage before the soul is breathed into the fetus. Here are also two situations: 1) According to the majority of Muslim scholars, it is forbidden to induce an abortion during the first forty days of the fetus' life. Some scholars legalize such an action. But, the first opinion is the preponderant one, since this action constitutes a form of wiping out progeny. 2) Scholars of Islam differ greatly in case of inducing an abortion after the forty days of the fetus' life, some legalize abortion after such a period. In addition, in the second state, i.e. before entrance of the soul, some scholars legalize abortion, if reliable doctors have decided that the fetus will be clearly born deformed, infirm, or will die after delivery. However, it is better and more proper to leave such a matter to Allah and be pleased with His Acts and Destiny (Qadaa). Then, you will be much rewarded. Allah knows best. I hope that clears all our doubts. ------------------ "Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith." (3:147)
  13. Sweetlady Only Allah subhana watacalaa has the right answer to this question. All I can say is we are in totally crisis we don’t want to admit but the bottom line is we r corrupted completely. Look at us cadaab rabaani ayaa na heysato dhulkeena hooyo kuma daganin oo nasteexo kuma heesano dhul shesheeyana kadaalik. Cadaab rabaani ayaa na heesata wax ilahay ogyahayna wey socotaa. Wherever we go we r on fire constantly, is time we smell the coffee & remember Allah cuz that is where we went wrong. Ilahayoo kaa magan galnay cadabtaada (Amin). ------------------ "Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith." 14. Asalaamu Aleikum wr wb A while ago i posted topic called "Attributes of a Righteous wife" & now here is Attributes of a Righteous Husband". I have being searching it since....I guess now i am fare haa girls lol. have good time reading it. Shaykh Saleh Al-Munajjid answered in response to a Muslim sister seeking advice about a husband: We appreciate your eagerness to find out the attributes which will help you to choose a righteous husband, in shaa Allaah. There follows a description of the most important qualities which should be present in the man whom you choose or accept to be your husband and the father of your children, if Allaah decrees that you will have children. There follows a description of the most important qualities, which should be present in the man whom you choose or accept to be your husband and the father of your children, if Allaah decrees that you will have children. Religious Commitment This is the most important thing to look for in the man you want to marry. The husband should be a Muslim who adheres to all the laws and teachings of Islam in his daily life. The woman’s guardian (wali) should strive to check out this matter and not rely only on outward appearances. One of the most important things to ask about is the man’s prayer (salaah); the one who neglects the rights of Allaah is more likely to neglect the rights of others. The true believer does not oppress or mistreat his wife; if he loves her, he honors her, and if he does not love her, he does not mistreat or humiliate her. It is very rare to find this attitude among those who are not sincere Muslims. Allaah says: “And verily, a believing slave is better than a (free) Mushrik (idolater), even though he pleases you” [al-Baqarah 2:221] “Verily, the most honorable of you with Allaah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwaa [i.e. he is one of the Muttaqoon (the pious)]” [al-Hujuraat 49:13] “Good statements are for good people (or good women for good men) and good people for good statements (or good men for good women)” [al-Noor 24:26] The Prophet (sallallaaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: “If there comes to you one whose religious commitment and attitude pleases you, then marry [your female relative who is under your care] to him, for if you do not do that, there will be tribulation on earth and much corruption.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Sunan al-Tirmidhi, 1084). As well as being religiously committed, it is preferable that he should come from a good family and a known lineage If two men come to propose marriage to one woman, and they are equal in terms of religious commitment, then preference should be given to the one who comes from a good family that is known for its adherence to the commands of Allaah, so long as the other person is not better than him in terms of religious commitment – because the righteousness of the husband’s close relatives could be passed on to his children and his good origins and lineage may make him refrain from many foolish and cheap actions. The righteousness of the father and grandfather are beneficial to the children and grandchildren. Allaah says: “And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the town; and there was under it a treasure belonging to them; and their father was a righteous man, and your Lord intended that they should attain their age of full strength and take out their treasure as a mercy from your Lord” [al-Kahf 18:82]. See how Allaah protected their father’s wealth for the two boys after the father died, as an honor to him because of his righteousness and taqwaa. By the same token, if the husband comes from a righteous family and his parents are good, Allaah will make things easy for him and protect him as an honor to his parents. It is good if he has sufficient wealth to keep him and his family from having to ask people for anything The Prophet (salawaatullaahi wa salaamuhu 'alaih) said to Faatimah bint Qays (may Allaah be pleased with her), when she came to consult him about three men who had proposed marriage to her, “As for Mu’aawiyah, he is a poor man who has no wealth…” (Narrated by Muslim, 1480). It is not essential that he should be a businessman or rich, it is sufficient for him to have an income that will keep him and his family from having to ask people for anything. If there is a choice between a man who is religiously committed and a man who is wealthy, then the religious man should be given preference over the wealthy man. It is preferable that he should be kind and gentle towards women The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said to Faatimah bint Qays, in the hadeeth quoted above, “As for Abu Jaham, his stick never leaves his shoulder”, referring to the fact that he used to beat women a lot. It is good if he is sound of body and healthy, free of faults, sickness, etc., and not disabled or sterile. It is preferable that he should have knowledge of the Qur’aan and Sunnah If you find someone like this it is good; otherwise you should realize that this is something rare. It is permissible for the woman to look at the man who comes to propose marriage, and for him to look at her This should be in the presence of her mahram, and it is not permitted to look more than is necessary, or for him to see her alone, or for her to go out with him on her own, or to meet repeatedly for no reason. According to Islam, the woman’s wali (guardian) should check on the man who proposes marriage to the woman who is under his guardianship; he should ask those whom he trusts among those who mix with him and who know him, about his commitment to Islam and his trustworthiness. He should ask them for an honest opinion and sincere, sound advice. Before and during all of this, you must turn towards Allaah and pray to Him to make it easy for you and help you to make a good choice and to grant you wisdom. Then after all these efforts, when you have decided on a particular person, you should pray Istikhaarah, asking Allaah for, that that is good. Then after you have done your utmost, put your trust in Allaah, for He is the best of helpers, may He be glorified. 16. Here is another article about Kaaba to help u understand with it's questions & answers that will help u explain to the non muslim clearly. The Kaaba "And now verily We shall make you turn (in prayer) toward a Qibla which is dear to you. So turn your face toward the Inviolable Place of Worship (the Kaaba of Makkah)." (Al Baqarah 2:144) The Quran commands the Muslims to face the sacred precincts in Makkah during prayer which is a fundamental tenet in slam. The legend of this purely Islamic development of a sacred stone structure dates back to the fall of Hadhrat Adam (alayhis salaam) from Paradise onto earth at Makkah. It has been reported by Al-tabari that Hadhrat Jibraeel (alayhis salaam) flapped his wings to uncover a foundation laid in the seventh fold of the earth. Angels paved this foundation with stones and Hazrat Adam went round this structure following the example of the Angels. Therefore it stands to reason that Allah Ta'ala contemplated and designated the Ka'aba before the creation of the earth. It is said that the Kaaba is a prototype of Baitul Mamoor, a house in the seventh Heaven situated immediately over the Kaaba. The Kaaba with respect to the inhabited parts of the world is like the centre of a circle with respect to the circle itself. All regions face the Kaaba, surrounding it as a circle surrounds its centre; and each region faces a particular part of the Kaaba. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) adopted the Kaaba as a physical focus in prayer as well for other acts of worship such as burial of the dead, recitation of the Qur'an, announcing the call of prayer, the ritual slaughter of animals, etc. Thus, Muslims have been spiritually and physically oriented towards the Kaaba and the holy city of Makkah in their daily lives. Circumbulation of The Kaaba 'Tawaf' or cicumbulation (the ritual encircling of the Kaaba) starts from the Hajar Aswad - the Black Stone. The circumambulator, if possible, may kiss the stone or may direct his hand towards it saying, "In the name of Allah, Allah is great." He must circle the Kaaba seven times with the Kaaba to his left (in anti-clockwise direction). On examination, it will be found that the entire universe which is in constant circular or elliptical rotation, is in actual fact moving in the pattern as the Tawaf. The electrons of an atom revolve around its nucleus in the same manner as making Tawaf, in an anti-clockwise direction. The ovum, prior to fertilisation actually taking place, surrounded by sperms, turns remarkably in anti-clockwise direction, thereby resembling the Tawaf. Considering the globe as a whole, it could be found that the earth has two movements. It rotates on its own axis in 24 hours causing day and night. The various seasons of the year are due to the earth's simultaneous revolution around the sun in 365 days. It is really astonishing to note that the earth, in both these movements, rotates anti-clockwise. The entire universe from the atom to the galaxies is in constant circular rotation like a circumambulator who encircles the Kaaba in the anti-clockwise direction. All objects in the universe, atoms, moon, stars, electrical current, galaxies, etc. are rotating in the same way. Moreover, the angles encircle the heavenly Baitul Ma'mur in an ever-lasting Tawaf. In the same way, the Kaaba in Makkah is never free from circumbulators. "Know that the world has come to an end when no soul will circlembulate the holy Kaaba." "Do Muslims Really Worship the Kaaba?" This was one question, among others, propounded by certain non-Muslim student groups at a university rally not very long ago. This kind of obnoxious thinking and behaviour is the direct result of villifying and being abusive towards other religions. Islam, known by many a western thinker as the 'champion religion' condemns the idea of disgracing and mocking any religion, but rather promotes the idea of showing respect. How else would the world see good in a religion so perfect as Islam. Our aim in this world should be to convey the magnificent teachings of Islam with love and honour, so that the word of Allah Ta'ala reaches the four corners of the world. Do Muslims worship the Kaaba by merely prostrating towards it? Hadhrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thaanvi (rahmatullah alayhi), in his book 'Ashraful-Jawaab', carefully probes the matter by providing logical and simple facts. 1. It is a known fact to Muslims that we don't worship the Kaaba but only worship Allah Ta'ala and Him alone. There is sufficient evidence to substantiate our stand and belief. Categorically, we explicitly deny worshipping the Kaaba nor the structure of the Kaaba. Hence, no worshipper (in his right frame of mind) can deny the thing he or she worships. In other words, Muslims deny worshipping the Kaaba and it is not a symbol of worship. The Kaaba is only a direction of worship. 2. When performing Salaat, even if the thought of facing towards the Kaaba is absent from the mind too, the salaat is valid. However, many Musallies that enter the masjid and begin performing salaat without having the faintest idea that they are facing the direction of the Kaaba, still have their salaat intact. Had we been worshipping the Kaaba, then it would have been a prerequisite condition to first intend facing the Kaaba before beginning any salaat. 3. If at anytime the structure of the Kaaba is destroyed then too, it will be compulsory to perform salaat facing the direction of the Kaaba . Therefore, we can say without a shadow of doubt that Muslims do not worship its stone structure, otherwise by its destruction Salaat would immediately come to a temporary stop. 4. If a person decides to perform salaat on the roof of the Kaaba, the Salaat will be valid. Therefore had we worshipped the Kaaba then Salaat performed above it would be incorrect; because firstly, the thing worshipped must appear in front and secondly, it is utterly disrespectful and disgraceful to the thing worshipped by standing on top of it. Imagine anyone standing above their Creator and Maker of this universe. In addition, Moulana Thaanvi (rahmatullah alay) further discusses other related matters on the same subject - the Kaaba. Did you ask yourself at anytime, 'Why do we face one direction, and not many directions?' Imagine if there was no one direction to face then everyone would have faced all directions which may have caused dissent and disunity in the heart of the Muslims. Therefore it was essential to provide a common direction for the Muslims throughout the world. Why do we face toward the Kaaba in particular and not any other selected direction? No one has the right to ask such a question. However, Allah Ta'ala is omniscient and He alone knows toward which direction His Noor (light) descends. Whichever direction this light is greatest, we are directed to face. How do we know the Noor of Allah descends toward the direction of the Kaaba? Only those who possess eyes may be able to get a glimpse of that Noor descending onto the Kaaba. Therefore, Salaat may be read above the Kaaba structure, because in actual fact, it is the Noor of Allah Ta'ala that we face in prayers and definitely not any object or likewise. The Jurist have commented that the Kaaba, although seen to a certain height, reaches upto the heavens and right down to the earth's bottom. Furthermore, the secret in facing toward the direction of the Kaaba is the spirit of worship (Ibaadat), and contentment and serenity of the heart. Without this contentment there exist no spirit (rooh), which is the reason we are instructed to focus our sight on the place of prostration in Salaat so that we may be able to concentrate with heart and soul entirely. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hope that answered all ur questions ------------------ "Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith." (3:147)
  17. Ka’aba The House Of Allah In the province of Hejaz in the western part of Arabia, not far from the Red Sea, there lies the town of Makka. In the centre of this town there is a small square building made of stones, about 60 feet long, 60 feet wide and 60 feet high. Since time immemorial this town and this stone built house has been known to world travellers. This is Baitullah, the House of Allah. Its sanctity and antiquity is older than history itself. Tradition goes that the Kaaba was ordained by Allah to be built in the shape of the House in Heaven called Baitul Ma’amoor. Allah in his infinite Mercy ordained a similar place on earth and Prophet Adam was the first to build this place. The Bible, in the Chapter of Genesis describes its building when God ordained Abraham to erect a Shrine for worship when Abraham was ordered to go to the Southern desert with his wife Hagera and infant son Ismael. The Old Testament describes this building as the Shrine of God at several places, but the one built at Ma’amoor is very much similar to the one at Makka. There is no doubt that it was referring to the stone built house at Makka. Qora’an brought this story into the full light of history. In Sura 3 Verse 90 Qora’an says “Allah has spoken the Truth, therefore follow the creed of Ibrahim, a man of pure faith and no idolater”. The first house established for the people was at Makka, a Holy place and a guidance to all beings. Qora’an firmly establishes the fact that Ibrahim was the real founder of the Holy Shrine. When Prophet Ibrahim built the Holy Shrine in Makka, his prayers were that this place should remain a centre of worship for all good and pious people; that Allah should keep his family the custodians of the Holy place. Ever since, Ismael the son of Ibrahim who helped his father to build this place and his descendants remained the custodians of the Holy Shrine. History tells us that centuries passed and the guardianship of the Kaaba remained in the family of Ismael until the name of Abde Manaf came into the limelight. He inherited this service and made it much more prominent. His son Hashim took this leadership and extended it to many other towns of Hejaz so much so that many pilgrims flocked annually to this place and enjoyed Hashims’s hospitality. A feast was given in honour of the pilgrims, food and water was served to all guests by the family of Hashim. This prominence created jealousies and his brother Abdushams’ adopted son Ummayya tried to create trouble. There was a dispute in which Umayya failed and left Makka to settle down in the Northern provinces of Suria(Sham) currently known as Syria. After Hashim his brother Muttalib and after him Hashim’s son Shyba who became known as Abdul Muttalib assumed the leadership of the family. He organised feasts and supplies of water to the pilgrims during the annual festival of Pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine. Prophet Ibrahim built this House for devout worship to one God. But within his lifetime people disobeyed his orders and began to put idols inside the Kaaba. Ibrahim had to clean the House of these idols and of Idle worshippers. He told the people that this was a symbolic house of God. God does not live there for He is everywhere. People did not understand this logic and no sooner had Ibrahim died the people, out of reverence, filled the place with idols again. They thronged to this place annually and worshipped their personal gods, It was over Four Thousand years later that the last of the line of prophet (SA), Muhammad Ibne Abdullah entered Makka triumphantly, went inside the Ka’aba and, with the help of his cousin and son in law Ali Ibne Abi Talib, (AS) destroyed all the idols of Ka’aba with their own hands. At one stage of this destruction of idols, the tallest of the idol Hubbol was brought down after Ali had to stand on the shoulders of the Prophet to carry out God’s orders. The Prophet of Islam was reciting the Verse from the Qur’an “Truth hath come and falsehood hath vanished.” This was done in the 8th year of Hijra, January 630 AD after the bloodless victory at Makka by the Prophet of Islam. Historically when Ibrahim was ordered by Allah to build the Shrine for worship over a small he uncovered the original foundations of the Kaaba built by Adam. Ibrahim with the help of his son Ismael erected the new shrine on the same foundations. Originally it contained only four walls without a roof . Centuries later during the timeof Kusayi who was the leader of the Tribe of Quraish in Makka a taller building was completed with a roof and a quadrangle wall around it to give it the shape of a sanctuary and doors all around the sanctuary walls. People entered through these doors to come to the Ka’aba for worship. It is now about 60 feet high, 60 feet wide from east to west and 60 feet from north to south. A door is fixed about 7 feet above ground level facing North East. A Black stone (Hajar al Aswad) was fixed into its eastern corner. In front of the building was Maqame Ibrahim, the arch shape gate known as that of Banu Shayba and the Zamzam Well. Just outside are the Hills called Safa and Merwa and the distance between the hills is about 500 yards. These days both of the hills are enclosed into the sanctuary walls with a roof over it. The whole building is built of the layers of grey blue stone from the hills surrounding Makka. The four corners roughly face the four points of the compass. At the East is the Black stone (Rukn el Aswad), at the North is el Ruken el Iraqi, at the west al Rukne el Shami and at the south al Rukne el Yamani. The four walls are covered with a curtain (Kiswa). The kiswa is usually of black brocade with the Shahada outlined in the weave of the fabric. About 2/3rd’s of the way up runs a gold embroidered band covered with Qur'anic text. In the Eastern corner about 5 feet above ground the Hajar el Aswad (the blackstone) is fixed into the wall. Its real nature is difficult to determine, its visible shape is worn smooth by hand touching and kissing. Its diameter is around 12 inches. Opposite the North west wall but not connected with it, is a semi circular wall of white marble. It is 3 feet high and about 5 feet thick. This semi circular space enjoys an especial consideration and pilgrims wait in queue to find a place to pray there. The graves of Ismael and his mother Hajera are within this semi circular wall. Between the archway and the facade (N.E.) is a little building with a small dome, the Maqame Ibrahim. Inside it is kept a stone bearing the prints of two human feet. Prophet Ibrahim is said to have stood on this stone when building the Ka’aba and marks of his feet are miraculously preserved. On the outskirts of the building to the North East is the ‘Zamzam Well’ (this is now put under ground). History of the building of the Ka’aba. Qur’an in Sura Baqra Verses 121 to 127 described it clearly that Allah had ordained his servant Ibrahim to build the Shrine there for worship of One God. During Kusayi’s time it was rebuilt and fortified. During the early years of Prophet Muhammad (SA) before he announced his ministry, the Ka’aba was damaged by floods and it was rebuilt again. When the Black stone was to be put in its place the Makkans quarrelled among themselves as to who should have the honour to place it there. They had just decided that the first comer to the quadrangle should be given the task of deciding as to who should have the honour. Muhammad (SA) came in and was assigned this task. He advised them to place the stone in a cloak and ordered the heads of each Tribe each to take an end and bring the cloak nearer the corner on the eastern side. He himself then took out the stone and placed it in its position. It has been fixed there ever since. After the martyrdom of the family of the Prophet at Kerbala in 61 Hijri (681 AD), the Ummayad Caliph Yazid Ibne Moawiya did not stop there in the pursuit of his destruction. He sent a large contingent under the command of Haseen Ibne Namir to Madina which destroyed the Mosque of the Prophet. They did not stop there but proceeded to Makka and demolished the four walls of the Ka’aba and killed thousands of muslims who protested. Yazid died and Ibne Namir returned to Damascus, Ka’aba was rebuilt by Abdullah Ibne Zubayr and his associates. Umawi forces came back to Makka and killed Abdullah Ibne Zubayr, hung his body on the gates of the Ka’aba for three months for all to see the Umawi power. But eventually this arrogance of power brought its own consequences and Mukhtar became the ruler in Iraq. Under his guidance the Ka’aba was refurbished and pilgrims began to arrive in safety to perform Hajj. The Ka’aba successfully withstood the Karamatian invasion of 317/929, only the Blackstone was carried away which was returned some twenty years later. In the year 1981 the Wahabis brought tanks inside the Ka’aba to crush the kahtani revolution against the Saudi regime and almost demolished the South Eastern Wall. This was later restored with the help of the Makkan people. Every man living in Makka in the 6th and 7th century must out of necessity have had some relationship with the Ka’aba. On the Muhammad (SA), the Prophet of Islam, the Qur’an is silent during the Makkans period in this respect. All that is known is that the muslim community of the period turned towards Jerusalem in prayers. Subsequently about a year and a half after the Hijra the Muslims were ordered during prayers which were lead by the Prophet of Islam himself to turn towards Makka. The particular mosque in Madina where this happened is called Masjide Qiblatain, meaning the mosque with two Qiblas. The Qur’an tells the muslims, “ turn then thy face towards the sacred mosque and wherever ye be turn your faces towards that part ”Qur’an II,139/144. At this same period the Qur’an began to lay stress on the religion of Ibrahim, presenting Islam as a return to the purity of the religion of Ibrahim which, obscured by Judaism and Christianity, shone forth in its original brightness in the Qur’an. The pilgrimage’s to the Ka’aba and ritual progressions around the building were continued, but were now for the glorification of One God. The Abrahimic vision of the Ka’aba created a means of discerning an orthodox origin buried in the midst of pagan malpractices to which the first muslims pointed the way. Every year after the Hajj ceremony the place is closed for one month and on the Day of Ashura the Ka’aba is washed from inside by the Water from the well of Zamzam and a new Kiswa is brought to cover the Ka’aba for the next year. This is the story of the Ka’aba and the persons who protected it and remained its custodians and protectors from the satanic and evil forces throughout history. Muhammad (SA) and the people of his household (Ahlulbayt) were the protectors of the Ka’aba, and currently the 12th Imam from the direct descent of the Prophet of Islam is the real protector, its custodian and guardian and shall remain as such while in concealment. 19. Soul_lady Well said sis. Yeah u right nowadays it seems to me that the kufaars r trying to target us by convincing Muslim ladies to have cesarean childbirth, by scaring them like “ur life & the child’s life is in danger if u don’t agree to have cesarean”. U know us we r always big family, & they in the other hand very small family. So I think they r afraid muslims r increasing so this is their new way to stop us. Our prance times & the current time that we living in isn’t the same so much has changed. Not only cesarean is thread to our community birth control is as well. So guys I will say don’t dream too much, u might fell very hard with critical wounds. Sis the problem isn’t only the misunderstanding, not at all most of the doctors r yahuuds & muslin necebyaal marka kas ayee u sameyaan. Aboooooooobo kaalay waa idinka 9 & above kids mention gareyee ma qabiil dhan ayaad abaabuleysaan imaan yeesha yac lol. As for me I am happy whatever Allah gives me, and I won’t mention any numbers I will let Allah deal with it. wuxuu ilahay qoray in uu jirkeyga ka soo gooyo ayaan heli. ------------------ "Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith." 21. Asalaamu Aleikum wr wb Petite Well said I agree with u 100%, that is what we being trying to tell the brothers in the other page. Go_moti heard what the brother said now adiga ayaa budka laguula dhici lol. I am curious about the fact that the majority of the scholars focus on women most of the times such us what they should do & so forth. Don’t know what is the reason they not focusing on men as well. If u look our muslim society now days is obvious that men have freedom in any way even if they crossing the rules. Don’t know why r they not being corrected. It seems to me our society problems r coming from that direction. We need equal treatment such us the scholars educated men about their rules as much as they educated women. Walaahi I have searched the net to find info regarding men’s role, I am embarrassed to say this but couldn’t find any, all I saw is heaps of articles regarding women. Is good that muslim women r having such as tremendous help by the scholars educating us the religion & our roles. I just think that “far kaliya fool ma dhaqdo” the scholars need to remind the brothers their roles as well. Otherwise muslim society won't recover fully. OG_monti Walaalkiis u wlc any time, u made me laugh lol oh god good to see mr geel jire is changing. Glad to see u r looking the other side of the issue guess that seef labood character is changing lol. Stay cool Peace ------------------ "Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith." 23. Lulla yeah sis the above rules goes same with men as well, even more cuz he practically responsible of her fully whatever she does he will be responsible, meaning he have to be her wali & leader. Allah gave the responsibility to men not cuz so they could be leader & boss around ladies, not at all infact is the other way, Allah will question them that responsibility whether they preformed well or not so is not dheedheel. The day of judgment he will be questioned one for himself, two his wife & his kids, so the responsibility he is carrying on his shoulders is double practically we don’t see it but is huge. Glad I am not a man. Lol. OG_moti Walaalkiis mahadsanid first. Secondly slow down hold ur horses bro I did not open this topic so the men could have go at the sisters not at all. I opened simply to remind both genders their responsibilities & not to fellow their fellow older Somalis footsteps. Yaroow OG_moti or should I say C.A duqeenta jooji ok farta fiiqida dhaaf. Walaahi adiga dictatorship aan kuugu ogeen ayaaba la soo baxday. When it comes to that u know our men r the one’s to blame, so u better off not mentioning that issue, let’s stop blaming each others gender cuz that is not the way to solve this problem. U know where I stand about that. Aan u wada duceeno labada dhanba ilahay ha soo wada hadeeyo Amin. no hard feelings take care bro. ------------------ "Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith." 24. Enough about gender war, but the reality is we can’t deny the rules that Allah set up for the both gender so plz take time to remind ur selves. only by fellowing bellow rules can safe our corrupted nation (somalis). i know most of youse r single well is good chance to learn what is ur duties Peace love u all 4 Allah sake lol. Attributes of a Righteous Wife "If a woman prays her five (daily prayers), fasts her month (i.e. Ramadan), guards her private parts, and obeys her husband, it will be said to her, ‘Enter Paradise through whichever of the gates of Paradise you wish.’" (Sahih Al-Bukhari) ____________________________________________ Devotion and Obedience to Allah (SWT) such that she fulfills His rights, such as the prayer, fasting, chastity covering herself, withholding her gaze and so on. --------------------------------------------- Obedience to Her Husband in that which does not involve disobedience to Allah (SWT) such that she fulfills his rights completely. Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "If I were to order anyone to prostrate to other than Allah, I would have ordered the woman to prostrate to her husband. By Him in whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, the woman will not fulfill the rights of her Lord until she fulfills the rights of her husband; and even if he were to request her for herself (i.e. to have intercourse with her) whilst she was sitting upon a camel's saddle, she should not refuse him." (Sahih, reported by Ibn Maajah and Ahmad from Abdullah ibn Awfaa) The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "It is not right that any human being should prostrate to another human being, and if it were right for a human being to prostrate to another human being I would have ordered the woman to prostrate to her husband due to the greatness of his rights upon her. By Him in whose Hand is my soul, if from his foot the crown of his head there was a wound pouring forth with pus, and she (his wife) came and licked that, then she would (still) not have fulfilled his right." (Good, reported by Ahmad and others) The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "If the woman knew the right of the husband, she would not sit when his morning and evening meals were presented until he finished." (Reported by al-Bazzar and others) --------------------------------------------- That She Guards and Preserves Herself and Her Honor, in the Absence of Her Husband, from the hand of anyone wishing to touch her, the eye of anyone wishing to look upon her, and the ear of anyone wishing to listen to her. Likewise that she preserves her husband’s children, home and wealth. Allah (SWT) says: "Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allah and to their husbands), and guard in the husband’s absence what Allah orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband’s property, etc.)…" (An-Nisa’ 4:34) As-Sa’dee said, "They are obedient to Allah (SWT), they are obedient to their husbands even when the husbands are absent and she guards herself and her husband’s property." The Prophet (SAW) said, "If a woman prays her five (daily prayers), fasts her month (i.e. Ramadan), guards her private parts, and obeys her husband, it will be said to her, ‘Enter Paradise through whichever of the gates of Paradise you wish.’" (Sahih Al-Bukhari) --------------------------------------------- Serving Her Husband. First of all by carrying out what is required in his house, such as bringing up and educating the children, preparing the meals and the beds and so on. From Husayn ibn Mihsan who said that my paternal aunt said, "I came to Allah’s Messenger (SAW) for some need, so he asked, ‘You there! Are you married?’ I replied, ‘Yes.’ He then asked, ‘How are you towards your husband?’ She responded, ‘I do not fall short in his service except with regard to what I am unable to do.’ He said, ‘Then look to your standing with him, for indeed he is your Paradise and your Fire.’" (Sahih, reported by al-Haadim and others) Here is an example of how Asma bint Abu Bakr (RA), served her husband. She said, "Az-Zubayr married me and he did not have any property or slaves or anything upon the earth except for a camel which drew water from the well and his horse. So I used to feed his horse, draw the water, stitch his water bucket, and prepare the dough, but I was not proficient in baking bread - so ladies from the Ansar who were my neighbors and were honorable used to bake the bread for me. I also used to carry the date-stones upon my head, from the land given to az-Zubayr by Allah’s Messenger (SAW) - and it was about two miles away. One day when I was coming with the date-stones on my head, I met Allah’s Messenger (SAW) and a group of the Ansar were with him. So he called me and said, ‘Ikh, ikh (a word said to make the camel kneel down.).’ in order to carry me behind him upon the camel. But I felt shy to proceed along with the men, and I thought of az-Zubayr and his sense of jealousy, and he was one of the most jealous of the people. So Allah’s Messenger (SAW) saw my shyness and so passed on. So I came to az-Zubayr and said, ‘Allah’s Messenger (SAW) met me while I was carrying the date-stones upon my head and with him were a group of his Companions. He caused his riding camel to kneel, but I felt shy and remembered your sense of jealousy.’ So he said, ‘By Allah (SWT) your having to carry the date-stones is harder upon me than that you should ride along with him.’" She said, "Then later on Abu Bakr sent me a servant to look after the horse, so it was if he had set me free." (Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim) The scholars differ with regard to the ruling about a woman serving her husband. Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said, "The scholars differed about whether she has to serve her husband with regard to the like of household bedding, preparing food and drinks, baking the bread, grinding the corn, and providing food for his slaves and cattle - such as providing fodder for his riding beast and so on." Some of them say: It is not obligatory for her to serve him - and this is a weak saying, like the weakness of the saying that it is not obligatory upon her to live together with him and have intercourse with him! However what is correct is that it is obligatory to serve him, since the husband is her master according to the Book of Allah (SWT), and she is a captive with him according to the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW), and the captive and the slave have to serve - and this is something known. Allah (SWT) says: "…Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allah and to their husbands), and guard in the husband’s absence what Allah orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband’s property, etc.)…" (An-Nisa’ 4:34) The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said in the sermon of the Farewell Pilgrimage: "…treat your women well, for they are captives with you." (Hasan Sahih, reported by at-Tirmidhee) This Ayat shows that it is obligatory upon her to serve her husband unrestrictedly, including: serving him, traveling along with him, making herself available to him, and so on - just as it is obligatory to obey the parents, since the obedience due from her to the parents transfers to the husband. --------------------------------------------- Keeping the Husband's Secrets. Particularly what occurs between him and her in private - with regard to sexual matters and the private affairs within the marriage. Disclosing the husbands secrets will hurt him and anger him and this contradicts obedience to him and seeking to please him. Furthermore preserving his secrets is one of the duties of the righteous and obedient woman, as described in the Saying of Allah (SWT), "…Guard in the husband’s absence what Allah orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband’s property, etc.)…" (An-Nisa’ 4:34) Part of their guarding what they are to guard in the absence of their husbands is that they should not broadcast their secrets. From Asma bint Yazeed (RA), who said that she was in the company of Allah's Messenger (SAW) and men and women were sitting, and he (SAW) said, "Perhaps a man mentions that which he did with his wife, and perhaps a woman informs of what she does with her husband?!" So the people were silent, so I said, "Yes, by Allah (SWT), O Messenger of Allah (SAW)! The women certainly do that, and the men certainly do that." He (SAW) said, "Then do not do so, since that is just like a male devil meeting a female devil upon the way, and he has intercourse with her while the people are watching." (Reported by Ahmad and there are witnessing narration’s which raise it to the level of being Sahih or Hasan at the very least) --------------------------------------------- She Should Appear Before the Husband in the Best Appearance, such that if he looks at her it pleases him. Abu Hurairah (RA), narrates the Messenger Of Allah (SAW) was asked, "Which of the women is the best?" He replied, "The one who gives him (the husband) pleasure when he looks (at her outer beauty, or the inner beauty of her good character and how she devotes herself to obedience to Allah and taqwa); obeys him when he orders; and does not go against his wishes with regard to herself or her wealth by doing that which he dislikes." (Sahih Muslim, reported by an-Nasaa’ee, al-Haakim and Ahmad) --------------------------------------------- She Should Not Spend Any of His Wealth or Her Wealth Except With His Permission From Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (RA) who said that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, "It is not permissible for a woman to give a gift except with the permission of her husband." (Hasan, reported by Abu Dawud an-Nasaa’ee and Ahmad) Al-Albani (ra) said, "However it is not becoming for the husband - if he is a sincere Muslim - that he should use this ruling to play the tyrant with his wife and to prevent her from utilizing her wealth in a manner which will not harm either of them. Indeed this right is very similar to the right of the girls guardian - who is such that she cannot get herself married except with his permission. But if he unjustly prevents her, then the matter is raised to the Islamic judge for justice to be attained. Likewise is the ruling with regard to a woman’s wealth if her husband oppresses her and prevents her from spending her wealth in a lawful and prescribed manner - then the judge will also bring about justice for her. So there is no problem with the ruling itself, rather the problem is in how it is misused." --------------------------------------------- She Should Not Permit Anyone to Enter Her Husband's House Except With His Permission From Abu Hurairah (RA), who said that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "It is not permissible for a woman to fast when her husband is present except with his permission; nor may she permit anyone to enter his house except with his permission; and whatever she spends in charity without his order - then half of the reward is for him." (Reported by Al-Bukhari) --------------------------------------------- She Should Not Ask Her Husband For Divorce Without a Reason Necessitating That From Thawbaan (RA), who said that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "Whichever woman asks her husband for divorce without a strong reason - then the fragrance of Paradise will be forbidden for her." (Sahih Muslim, reported by Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhee and others) --------------------------------------------- Avoidance of Cursing Abu Sa’eed al-Khudree (RA) said, "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) went out to the prayer-ground for the (prayer of) Adhaa or Fitr, and he passed by the women and said, ‘O women! Give in charity, for I have been shown that you shall be the majority of the people in the Fire.’ So they asked, ‘Why is that, O Messenger of Allah (SAW)!’ He replied, ‘You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands.’" (Reported by Al-Bukhari) --------------------------------------------- Being Thankful to the Husband for the good he does and for his good treatment to his wife. This is accomplished by good words, and by her obedience to him in what is good, and by not forgetting his good treatment and avoiding denying this, since that is one of the reasons which brings about the entry into the Fire. From Ibn Abbass (RA), who said that the Prophet (SAW) said, "I was shown the Fire and found that the majority of its inhabitants were women, due to ingratitude. It was said: "Is it that they disbelieve in Allah?" He said: They are ungrateful to their husbands and deny the good they do. If you were to treat one of them well always, and she then saw something (displeasing) from you she would say: ‘I have never seen any good from you.’" (Reported by Al-Bukhari) Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, "Allah will not look at a woman who is not thankful to her husband and she cannot do without him." --------------------------------------------- She Should Not Remove Her Clothes Outside Her Husband's House Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, "Whichever woman removes her clothes in other than her house, then Allah (SWT), will tear down His cover from her." (Sahih-Jami, reported by al-Haakim and others) Al-Manawee said, "’Allah (SWT) will tear down His cover from her’ since because she has failed to take care of what she has been commanded with regard to covering herself from strangers, then this is the recompense she receives, the recompense being of the type of the action. What is apparent is that removal of her clothing means uncovering herself to strange males, for the purpose of sexual intercourse or that which leads to it. As opposed to the case if she were to remove her clothes amongst women, whilst covering her private parts, since there is no reason for that to enter into this warning." --------------------------------------------- Striving to Please the Husband by Every Possible Means The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "Your women from the people of Paradise are the beloved and fertile, the one who is an asset to her husband, who if her husband becomes angry - comes and places her hand in the hand of her husband and says, ‘I will not taste sleep until you are pleased (with me).’" In al-Kabaa’ir of adh-Dhahabee, "What is obligatory upon the woman is that she seeks the pleasure of her husband, and avoids angering him, and does not refuse him whenever he wants her. The woman must also know that she is like a slave to her husband, so she should not do anything affecting herself or her husbands wealth except with his permission. She should give precedence to his rights over her rights, and the rights of his relatives over the rights of her relatives, and she should keep herself clean and be ready for him to enjoy her. She should not boast at his expense of her beauty, nor rebuke him for any ugliness found in him. The woman must also be always modest and reserved in the presence of her husband, lower her eyes in front of him, obey his commands, remain silent when he speaks, keep far away form everything which angers him, avoid treachery when he is absent, with regard to his bed, his wealth and his house. She should ensure that her aroma is pleasant, be accustomed to using musk and perfume and cleaning her mouth with miswaak. She should be constant in adorning herself in his presence and not when he is absent. She should treat his family and relatives honorably, and consider something small from him as something great." ------------------ "Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith."
