  1. I met the fine Garad Jamac when he was doing his tour in the US. I was really impressed walahi. He showed all the great qualities of a great leader and spoke with great eloquence. He encouraged the youth to get their education and give back to the homeland. He should definately run for presidency, He definately has my vote. Now this a a leader am proud to call our own. We need more of him around.
  2. I am always hesitant to advise some to seek divorce and we are not always sure what the situation is on the other side of the coin. Your friend should speak to the imam about her situation. Everyone will give their opinions to your friend but at the end of the day, she knows what is best for her life. I hope Allah makes it easy for her amin, because surely is a predicament. Personally I would not put myself in that kind of situation but like they say never say never and I hope to Allah it never happens to me. All the best to our sister.

Cheers LOZ You're a naughty one, give the girl a break. Crystal why don't you start with just being yourself and am sure with your many characterism, your lines will be humming with lots of fruitful honey. May be the problem is they can see that you are not being yourself and you are trying real hard to be something you are not. May be you give off the impression of being desperate of really wanting to find someone. Live it to Allah. In the mean time while just have fun and live life.
  7. Looks quite yummy but I hope its not bitter. My first caano geel experience was not so good. Growing up in a non caano geel country and hooyo and aabo (allahu naxariso) always mentioning how nothing compares to fresh caano geel bubbling with foam was the best milk in the world. Inshallah I will soon try it can't wait..

Qabil is for recognizing each other...or so am told. Where have our principles gone to? Where did I am a muslim first go to? Abaayo how many more will die in the name of qabil?

  15. Am not sure about that. We pay taxes and its time the US hear what we have to say. This does not necessarily mean that the rally is pointless. Rallies can accomplish a great deal: They can be used to get signatures on petitions, raise money, distribute information, demonstrate to the public(usually through media coverage) that we are against the mass killings of Somalis and that the genocide going on in Somalia need to stop right now, and it can also inspire individuals to increase their levels of activism. We can issue picketing for or against a particular candidate or politician are the most cost- effective and influential. With only a few dozen people, an event like this can garner adequate media coverage, and the point is clearly made.

  18. Clever Trevor J I have tasted the food of safari and am not from Mn, It definately surpasses any Somali restaurant I have ever been to,,,, Food - Great Presentation and detail of the garnishments. The food looked, smelled and tasted yummable...Left a lasting impression on me. Decor - it was a bit dark, although you can definately make a huge difference in sales, if you would simply add a bit lighting and a bit of renovations to match your delicious food. Also it would greatly help if you could do something about the huge groups of faraxyaal standing infront of your building although I know you have a Somali coffee shop next door. They scare your customers away. Cost - Very affordable for that kind of food. Service - Service is personable and brisk, but not intrusive, other than the usual bus person attempting to fill up your water glass every time you take a sip. To me personally Customer service is very important and it makes the difference of, if one comes back or not. I will definately come back to Safari. Our companys corporate office is located in bloomington. Next time I come, I will make sure to bring my coworkers. Their is always room for improvement. You definately have my vote Mr Trevor.
  19. Mecca, birthplace of the Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and Islam, is the destination for millions who arrive from every corner of the world for the religion’s annual pilgrimage, the hajj, required once of every fit worshipper. Steeped in history, the city has now become a target for tourism development, including malls, hotels with speakers that broadcast public prayers, fast-food restaurants and amusement parks. “Mecca is becoming like Las Vegas,” grumbles one critic in this “New York Times” article, and a researcher from London has started the Islamic Heritage Foundation to prevent destruction of religious and historical sites. Developers argue that new amenities allow more pilgrims to visit the holy city, but the most devout Muslims may not agree that commercialism goes hand in hand with spirituality All of Mecca is a sanctuary First it was the HOuse of Abubakar(RA) as a Hilton now the the Surroundings of the Kaaba. This is a violation of the sanctity of the Holy City. Come on theme parks and Big Glitzy buildings right next to the Kaaba. What happened preserving the Islamic heritage? Innalilahi wa inailahi rajicoon. I just can't imagine Mecca and Medina becoming like dubai. Seriously look at the picture sad day.
  20. What the F* . LMAO it was funny but at the same time I am saddened at this kind of behavior.Their are supposed to be role models for the country. Great just what we need another bunch of wild bambos at it again. May Allah show us the light at the end of the tunnel. We have work to do walahi and this is the kind of Somalia we expect those odayaal to lead. May Allah help us. Amin
  21. Pretty Xu First tip for makeup, YOu first have to have a good face moisturizer and make sure that it has at least spf 15. Too many different chemicals can damage your face. That protects your skin from the sun if your outside all day. Also make sure to tell them what kind skin exp. are you oily, dry or medium on the face. Personally my face is very sensitive so I use Mac for everything. YOu can't go wrong. Its made for women of color. This is my moisturizer..its bit different in looks but I think its because its the uk website. http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT7706&PRODUCT_ID=PROD73342 Since you like the goth look, I do too. You gotta have a black eyeliner to excentuate your eyes. The one I use is cheap too from my local indian grocery. You also got have a good mascara this one works wonders love it. Maybelline I would recommend you to try a bronzer before these foundations sweety. It gives you shine and glow. It doesn't make you look pasty like the foundations. And most of the time foundations are for cover ups. We somalis have great beautiful skin. We don't need all that makeup. So try putting on the moisturizer but before it drys up take a makeup brush and dub some to the bronzer and put it on your face counter clockwise. Stay away from liquid formulas at first. Try loose powder bronzer or the compact or this http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P33611&categoryId=S10854&shouldPaginate=true or mac has some nice shimmer bronzers too. All I have to say is things in london are expensive compared to the US. Last year while I was in london, I went to selfridges on oxford street and that is the only place they have MAC products. Am not sure what there policy is on returns in the uk but in the US you buy product and you don't like it or it turns out later on that you got the wrong color, they will return it for you or exchange it for the right one for free. For lips play with nude colors or like browns and mochas for day. Try a little bit more color at night. Switch them the eyeshadows and lips. Less color on the lips try natural gloss and more color on the eyeshadow. Natural color like brown on the eyeshadow with a bit more color lip gloss. For Eye shadows it depends on you. If you trying to use it for everyday use then use natural colors. Tip when your using eyeshadows for night before you dub it on. Take the eye shadow brush dub on some water not too much just a little and dub it on the eyeshadow palette and put it on. It gives more definition and more highlight to appear. I guess it helps when you live with lots of sisters and you have to be the one who does their makeup and play with them. Its all about practice and work with what makes you comfortable.Hope that helped dear sorry in hurry, I gotta run. I love smoky eyes and nude lipglosses.
  22. Bismilaahi Rahmani Rahim I hope my good brother Bob is okay that is the city he is from. Inshallah I will call him asap. Sad news indeed
