It's very frustrating the injustice happening to those detainee's. The muslim Chapleen Capt James Yee sorry don't know his muslim name but just like that he was a chapleen at the Guantanamo and said that he was accused of espionage Accused of espionage, Army Capt. James Yee saw his notoriety bloom overnight. He was vilified on the airwaves and on the Internet as an operative in a supposed spy ring that aimed to pass secrets to al-Qaeda from suspected terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where Yee ministered to them. After his arrest, Yee was blindfolded, placed in manacles and taken to a Navy brig, where he spent 76 days in solitary confinement. Eight months later, all the criminal charges against the 36-year-old West Point graduate have melted away. A subsequent reprimand has been removed from his record. And while many legal analysts are questioning whether a security-conscious military over-reached in its investigation, Yee is back home at Fort Lewis, Wash., pondering what remains of his military career. Military officials involved in the case won't say what they thought they had on Yee, or why they pursued him with such zeal. Prosecutions are proceeding against three other men — two Arabic translators and an Army Reserve colonel — who worked at Guantanamo, where the military is holding nearly 600 suspected al-Qaeda and Taliban operatives captured in Afghanistan and elsewhere. ------------------------------------------------- They ruined his career, planned bogus charges against him and for what after year and half they drop all charges against him because they don't have enough evidence. Please amnesty can not do much to the US, who is investigating this The FBI please bunch of crap I say. They are giving me blood pressure. Where is the International Court and the other nations. What America does America gets away with it but You will not get away from Allah. Am out

Great article br Nur very good reminder must I say. Just yesterday I was attending a Diversity workshop which was mandatory for all MGR. They had a couple of scenerio put together and the trainee was talking about how after 9/11 it was very much important on understanding the diversity of the workshop. We were discussing how people were acting towards the muslims after 9/11. She showed a video about how the some of the muslims were discriminated against. The perpetuaters were solely ignorant or did not have much knowledge about our religion solely because the thought all muslims are terrorists. They asked how they could be a diversity agents instead of fighters, naive, avoiders or even the perpetuaters. My answer was through education and understand of our fellow employees religion. If they knew that our Islam is peace and not what they see on the media, I trully believe that people would act differently. She gave our property a test about how much we know about Islam and she praised us that our property had the highest scores she ever seen. How do we expect people to know and understand Islam if we are rude, unfriendly, and unkind? Simple things we can do like when you are walking in the street simply courtesy hello and a smile can do. That does wonders walahi. They always have questions about religion we just need to be open with them. My collegues are always asking can i ask you this Hasna I don't mean to offend you I am just curious. I usually say not all ask on and I make sure to point out that if they don't ask me how will they know. They want to ask question but they either don't want to offend us or they scared. We need to be friendly to others and kind to other and show that we are not what they perceive us in the media. I have another story when bush was attacking Iraq we had hugh protest in down town seattle and walahi most of the people there I would say may be 70% of the protesters were non muslims. Surprisingly I had this catholic preast come and thank me for joining the protest and I looked at him and said no thank you for coming. And he went on saying that although he was a priest he had all kinds of people asking him, He was not muslim and that he was a catholic why he was there. He answered don't I have the right to fight the injustice that his government was doing to the children, mothers, sisters and brothers of other faiths. He was working so hard giving water and even helping set up Asr prayer for us. We must be the change we seek.. Gandie

^^^^ Kalei open the box U might hit the jackpot Who said you can't have it all...But I would definately give everything up for the greatest gift Allah can give which is Children....While others would see success as the greatest accomplishment nothing tops little ones. Good article, happens to a lot of people. Someone I know was like the above writer, she accomplished all she desired in her education and her business but when she realized it she passed her prime long time ago. You never know.... Good Reminder

I agree with North. Its a occuring problem, We need to support and help these people. Mostly we have to educate them especially people back home. Humankind will eventually outcaste many stricken with AIDS, and who will help them? We should let Muslims living with Aids/HIV know that they are not alone and that Islamically rooted responses beyond the knee-jerk prejudice and bigotry. The muslim community should talk about Aids. We must help people to get rid of this social stigma. We need to put aside our own personal judgements and open our eyes and open our hearts. It was reported that the messenger of Allah( May peace be upon him) observed: who ever believes in Allah and the last day should either utter good words or better keep silence; and whoever believes in Allah and the last day should treat his (her) neighbour with kindness and whoever who believes in Allah and the last day should show hospitality to his/her guest. What will convey onto you what the difficult path is? Liberating others, providing food on a day of hunger to an orphan or relative or to someone disadvanted and a bad situation. Then you become of those who trully believe, who encourage one other to persevere and encourage each other to become compassionate ( quran 90:12-17)

Originally posted by Ilhaan M.: Asc wr wb. Ladies & gentlemen, Ur advice is needed. There is this single man who wants to share his life with this single mother. She already has children and wants no more, but he is just starting his life, therefore needs/wants children. To find a solution to this problem, he sugests to marry her now and another lady in the future. The second lady can, hopefully, give him children. This man is so Mr Right for her, but does she dare to share him!?? What would U do/advice to this lady? Ilhan sis how does she feel about the single guy? She should do a Pro's and COn's If he is everything she need then why not... the sharing part I can understand but you never know. And also what is wrong with a single guy marrying a divorcee... This is the best kind of marriage walahi the single guy is getting more blessing from ALLAH. Prophet Mohamed peace be upon him would always advise the single men to marry the widowers and the divorcee's all the time. Hey I say what ever rocks your boat. She should really consider... Anyways good luck to her..
