  1. blah blah blah The story is FAKE so just drop it!
  2. Baseless and useless rumor created by some anti-Puntland people, and really in general, some anti-Northeastern Somali peoples, mostly based in Mogadishu and its environs. The very editor who first posted this over a year and a half ago, from QARAN newspaper, admitted in a public apology that THIS story of lesbians in Boosaaso was a fabrication and that his source in the Puntland city of Boosaaso had other political agendas to attend to. P.S. SOL Admins MUST'VE heard about this story and how FAKE it was. So I wonder why allow these perverts to keep posting such dispicable (and false) "news." SOL is slowly turning into another version of SomaliNet, you've been forewarned! I take my piece from the ridiculous haters!
  3. 2 sides to every story. The girl is an actor and she put on an act for the American legal system. Its nothing new. Besides man, what's wit the "I'm embarrassed of being a Somali" comment? If you are, quit reading posts written by Somalis. Simple as that! Goodness, its funny how far some people will go to get attention and some compassion, evidently things their missing from their real life. VIRTUAL REALITY isn't going to get you a better lifestyle. Live in reality, quit preaching on the Net!
  4. lol Try this: There's an audition for a movie about Monty Burns - Homer's billionare boss. So characters like the Spanish guy, Moe and even the bus driver. The word they're auditioning for is the best Burns impression as he says, "Excellent." So, they all go. The bus driver jus giggles and is like WTF is this? The Spanish guy goes: "Excellente." lol Anyways, Homer tries. He says, "Exactly!..Du-oh!"

  8. Point of the matter is this: a 12 year old kid vs. her BOTH her parents. Where's the argument? No loving mother would accept the continued abuse of her daughter, especially not with 911 available. So, I think the girl is lying. Abusive fathers do exist, but a father that places a knife on his own daughter's throat? That's NOT abusive. Its called murder. EVEN if this were a fact, then it'd be a rarity. Its funny how certain ladies jump on the "anti-fatherly-abuse" wagon so quickly, without remembering the case. It says Rahma put on traditional clothes in her foster parents' home, but quickly shed them at the school for a more American look. Clearly, the girl is an actor!
  9. lol@welfare money I suppose I could be an average Farax and brag but I won't, simply because I've got nothing to prove to you, NINO BROWN, or any of you're like-minded cohorts. So if it helps you sleep better at night under the impression that Wind Talker lives on welfare money, then by all means, get you're rest. I have a feeling you need it. Bari - You just quoted me and my points completely by-passed you, or perhaps, you just ignored what I said, bro. Either way, I do know that a lot of people in the Third World live under dire conditions and what I wrote was a light-hearted joke about the $4/mo. Marka, xumaan ha u qaadan. As far as the U.N. report goes, sxb, the U.N. is a world-wide disease that's worse than the recent SARS outbreak. At least international scientists can try to control the further spread of the SARS virus. But the U.N., well, the U.N. is the same entity that distributes expired medicines in poor countries, claiming the medicine is free. I believe expired medicine actually worsens a person's health, rather than healing them. Just a thought. So open YOU'RE eyes wide open and look at the current Puntland dictatorship before meddling in the internal affairs of others. Clean you're own house, then perhaps negociate with you're neighbor in the cleaning of his - if need be. I'm sure you get the analogy. Or, on a second thought, you'll prolly just ignore it. How convenient.
  10. Man, that's great news that the residents of Boosaaso are living on $4 a day. WOW! Let's give 'em candy. Seriously though, there's two faults in you're analysis of the economies of two distinct cities. First and foremost, I don't believe a word the U.N. says. And secondly, if one Somali city is prospering, why bring another one down? What's the purpose? I love Boosaaso as its home to every one in my family, including myself, although I've never been there. But to compare it to Hargaysa is a childish way of compare-contrast that has deeper meanings, deeper, hostile meanings. I'm sure in a bit, LANDER, Gediid, and the rest are going to respond to you're B.S.@Bari. Sxb, to be honest, its people like you that are dragging Somalia down. Just be happy for everyone!
  11. Yet another senseless topic. Okay. This is how you know that a guy past the age of 20 is a virgin in the Western Hemisphere: If he lives in the basement of his mom's house and comes out once in a blue moon. Even then, I think there's the exposure to the *****. Ugh! How dispicable of men! Waar, sheeko xariirka naga dhaafa. Grow up!
  12. great story, BARI, bro I think when LANDER refers to "Bari," he means the entire region also known as Puntland or Majerteniya, whichever suits you're needs. Also, the origins of the SSDF and the USC or SNM or any other rebel movement were all inherently the same and had a double edge as a cause: 1) topple the regime; 2) maintain control of the movement by tribal means. i.e. SSDF (MJs); SNM (**** ); etc. Let's not blind ourselves and ignore the dire facts on the ground.
  13. s-moja, thanks for posting this article. i hope that fellow somalis and all muslims read this and reflect back on their deeds. everything we do is being recorded. and also, this article serves as a reminder to all the muslims who leave our beloved religion. this is the one. may allah bless all our souls and take us to janah. aamin. once again, s-moja, thanks for posting such a wonderfully informative article. jazakaalaah khayr.
  14. payin her dinner lays the foundation for the "after" dinner events.. like someone said, its a debt she'll have to pay back..
  15. first of all, i wouldn't be in a relationship where the word "cheating" is used! if you mean her sleepin around, i can't complain cause ima b doin the same damn thang! allaha na cafiyo, aamin!

  17. lol@angel dust, grinov: so the s.s.d.f. are traitors, the u.s.c. are murderers, and the s.n.m. are gaalo lovers! and about the s.n.f.? oooohh they're perfect little angels who save the rest of somalis! wooooooooooooooow ...someone please applaud this gentleman.. sxb, i think its more honorable of you to just come out and say that you adore ur cousin, i.e. the former somali dictator. really, no one is gonna care. as long as u come wit a straight face.. peace
  18. cool song, i sorta remember it from going to school back in muqdisho aka xaawo taako primary school horn.. brotha, i believe its wrong to rush to judgment. although you're advice of keeping one's love for the late somali president to oneself is great, i think people have a right to express their hate or love for the man. before he's ur clan cousin or whatever, he was a man who symbolized each and every somali across the globe. when anyone speaks of him, he doesn't speak of your cousin but of the 'somali president.' hate and love are 2 sides of the same coin. some will love the man, others will hate. so the story goes..
  19. darman funny comment..yet so exquisitely true.. besides, i would think a female would come up with such a trend@bachelor..no offense.. and yes i do think men cheat more..why? cause there's such an abundance of women and the typical man sees no shame in a little hit-n-run..well, at least not moi
  20. federalism, democracy, centralism, capitalism, communism, etc-ism don't y'all think its time to overcome the mental barriers that force YOU ALL to see everything by western standards? i mean we're muslim/african/somali. we should come up with our own solutions in context with our situation. if democracy and federalism worked for the fore fathers of the american nation, its because they convened and comprimised till they reached a viable solution. its time we did the same. on another note, puntland is not an example of federalism or even an example of good governance. in my opinion, the late somali dictator mohamed siyad barre was a good governor compared to the blood-thirst col cabdullahi yusuf. tribally and traditionally, i hail from the regions encompassed within the puntland dictatorship and i don't support that government or any of its thuggish and corrupt leaders. as for somaliland, let them be. if its working for them, maasha alaah. they're our fellow muslims and somalis. indepedence? as long as everyone or the majority agrees. period. no ifs or ors. if ur from "southern somalia," then u have no right to decide the fate of the north. period. besides, i'm sick and tired of the endless war of the egos between ajt and lander on 1 side & bari nomad and samurai on the other. move on, gentlemen.. my piece..
  21. allaha u naxariisto wixii dhintay.. but what's the point of postin this? i mean, if death is the problem, we can post the millions dead, each and everyday. sxb, enjoy the west, where u have some sort of peace. some peeps haven't seen peace or tranquility in so long i doubt they know what it means. besides, welcome to north america
  22. lol, funny indeed a.j. brotha, must u always inject negativity to every realm? i jus wonder..
  23. thanks for the info, underdog like nuune above stated, its already beginning to happen. may allah protect all of us and direct us to the right path. aamin!
  24. peace between somaliland and puntland (somalia) peace between israel and palestine peace between ethiopia and eritrea peace between north korea and south korea peace between india and pakistan peace between east timor and indonesia peace in the congo peace in west africa peace in algeria between the gov't and the islamic party peace on the streets of central district of seattle and downtown washington, d.c. peace, peace, peace..to everyone in everywhere.. cause the list goes on.. so, ask yourself, isn't peace really just a myth? allahu aclam
