Sharmarkee, I have couple of book on Andalusia in english, I also found this; Muslim Spain (documentary DVD) Zahir Ahmed worth checking out! Northerner, Kingdom of Heaven is more hollywood than history, but for a hollywood movie it is entertaining, it is more balanced than i expected, most of the fanatics in the movie are the crusades, the templers, and the syrian actor who played Saladin was very chivalrous. Muhammad Asad(ra) was a good scholar, may Allah be pleased with him. I have couple of books and videos of him, I have been hoping to get The message of the Quran(Muhammad Asad's translation and commentary on the Quran). ps. it is interesting to note, Muhammad Asad's publication was Dar al-Andalus Ltd (Gibraltar).

^ Interesting points Khayr, Jazakallah Khair! wind.talker, Jazakallah khair, that was very detailed summary. And this can be the reason why Imam Al-Shafeii (may Allah bless him) has said about this surah that if the people were to ponder over this surah alone, it would suffice for their guidance. He has also been reported as saying that if nothing else would have been revealed in this Glorious Qur’an except this surah then this surah would have been sufficient for man’s guidance. I've been thinking about that, Subhanallah!

Abraar, after couple of days of searching, this is the best detailed summary i could find, enjoy Source;

Pirates Attack US Cruise Liner 100 miles from Somalian Coast
Muhammad replied to Keyz 1-8-7's topic in General
why are people so suprised that we have Pirates in 2005, I saw one headline on CNN, 'Pirates... 2005'. Pirates are still around, they are very active in the Pacific, I recall in one of the early Surviver shows, they almost were hijacked by pirates. & don't forget our next door neighbor, Yemen has far more pirates, Socotra is a known pirate's heaven. -

just came across this for the London folks; ------------------------------------------ Highlighting Islam's artistic influence By David Tilley From the Renaissance palaces of Venice and Florence to Victorian London, the art of Islam has been a prevailing influence on Western art and design. Painters such as Bellini, Delacroix and Renoir and designers like William Morris were all affected by its theories and visual refinement, Lecturer Alan Kirwan will survey the impact of Islamic art on Europe from 1400 to the present day at a talk at 7pm tonight at the Al-Furqan Foundation, Eagle House, High Street Wimbledon. Admission is free, call 020 8944 1233. source

^ lol back to the topic, I'll say if they are 6 or younger! have Sabr!! I remember in Tahajjud prayers there were some kids(10 years or older) playing outside at 3 4 am in the morning, the Imam got MAD @ the parents saying, 'its not safe for them and they're waking up the neighbors'. now this I can understand.

Well the first night was about the first crusade, their 3 year journey to the Holy Land and the barbaric killings of women, children, Muslims, Christians and jews alike on their way to capture Jerusalem. At one point cooking the flesh of the Muslims they massacred and eating them. Tomorrow night will focus on the counter attack of the Muslims and the Jihads to capture back the Holy Land. The unification of the Muslim states under Nurudin, the battle of Hattin and the opening of Jerusalem under the leadership of Salahuddin. Then the start of the Second Crusade and the duel between the king of England Richard I and Saladin.

Salaams those of you who have access to the History Channel, they are going to air a new program: The Crusade: Crescent & The Cross

^ you bet AF; the Botswana case was saddening, but what captured me was Alfred Sommer's discovery of the cure for nightblindness, 'a condition arising from vitamin A deficiency'. it suprises you how simple some of these Health problems can be cured. I was surfing the site, and came across this: Global Health Atlas. In the HIV/AIDS section, for Somalia they have; 12 deaths per 100,000 that suprised me. but what realy scared me was all of our neighboring countries, apart from Djabuti, they have 400+ deaths per 100,000! Subhanallah, may Allah protect us! other diseases in Somalia: Diarrheal Diseases: 68 deaths per 100,000 Tuberculosis: 100 deaths per 100,000 Malaria: 81 deaths per 100,000 Measles: 20 deaths per 100,000

If we just ignore the fanatic Hindutva Fascism's website you posted, you have to admit Mr.Arvind Virmani is some what biased? In recent history the only other groups that can arguably be classed as religion based were the ‘Sikh terrorists’ trained in or based in Pakistan. Arvind Virmani
