  1. Your questions have been answered in a 13 page thread, take the time to read it, its a waste of time to keep repeating the same thing. So do read especially the US state department correspondance. EDIT The SNM was defeated because it was unsuccesful in achieving its goals. In 1988 the SNM unsuccesfully tried to hold Hargeysa and Burco, the SNA regained control in those two towns and started operations to root out the SNM in the region. By 1989 the region was pacified and Gerneral Cabdicasis was in full control of Northern Somalia, the SNM's lost its strenght and many SNM fighters were surrendering. The document shows how the government pacified teh region and that normal life was starting again. The refugees were returning shows that the population of the region trusted that the SNA was guaranteering their safety and that the rebels no longer formed a threat. In january 1991 General Cabdicasis was in total control of Northern Somalia. So what objectives did the SNM reach, except getting defeated? The USC however led a succesful revolt and ousted Siyad Barre making it posible for the SNM to fill the vacuum that the retreating SNA left and even then it took till 1993 for teh vacuum to be filled, and guess what since Cigaal the SNM never tasted power, so how succesful where they?
  2. Northerner click on the link below and see what I have said (in my humble opinion ofcourse) in the past about how the SNM was defeated. How the SNM was defeated Geeljire I am alive and there is nothing wrong with emotions, express yourself ps. Northerner I take ina Waraabe serieuse atleast he says whatever comes into his mind and usually its whats in his heart. The hate he expresses is whats in his heart and when he says the SNM was defeated then thats whats in his heart. Waraabe a secessionist leader saying the SNM was defeated can't be hidden my friend. Ina Waraabe is telling the truth again, the SNM wasn't capable of defeating the SNA.
  3. Geeljire you see what your islamist homeboys are doing to their people, whats islamic about blowing yourself up and killing innocent people, innocent women, children, elderly....isn't that worse then 'secularism'?. Saddam never did things like that. And in the future please don;t compare Siyad Barre and Saddam Hussein.
  4. Cabdulahi Yusuf didn't get promoted because he also lacks the skills to become an effective Leader, Cadulahi Yusuf is a tool not a leader. If he was a leader he wouldn't be in teh pockets of junior Ethiopian intelligence officers. Cabdulahi Yusuf ordered the killing President Sharmarke, Cabdulahi Yusuf is known for his cowardly tactics.
  5. Siyad Barre was a good leader in troubled times in our history he got us through most of those troubles, but eventually time cought uyp with him. In teh 21 years after the revolution Somalia developed as it has never doen before. The regime that Siyad Barre lead put Somalia on the map, some of the most glorious times Somalia witnessed in its history was under the leadership of Siyad Barre. Cabdulahi Yusuf was never promoted because he was behind the assasination of a Soamli president, would you promote a killer? One mistake that Siyad Barre made was that he didn't hang mad dogs like Caydiid and Cabdulahi Yusuf.
  6. The coup was necessary evil, the politicians were corrupt, some ministers were even spying for the xabash. The political parties were allong clan lines, our country had many enemies external aswell as internal. the coup was necessary and it served its purpose, it got Somalia through troubled times. Now let me ask you who killed President Sharmarke, wasn't it Cabdulahi Yusuf who ordered the assasination?
  7. Duke are you trying to tell me that Siyad barre created SSDF and told them to become xabash dabo-dhil*f?
  8. Duke may not be a child but he tells childrens stories. Duke all of Somalia fled on donkey carts the day our government fell. It was a sad day for everyone including you, Siyad Barre didn't make us refugee, SSDF, SNM and USC did with their ethnic cleansings and don't start about Gaalkacyo it was a sad episode in Somali history and is not an achievement of the SSDF its a humiliating defeat of the SSDF by the USC and without the SNF and USP Gaalkacyo would be renamed Caydiidtown ask Horn.
  9. Duke be real here the SSDF did not overthrow the Somali Government. We all remmember the dhafoorqi*qs in the 90's and I can tell you they weren't known for their bravery. The SSDF collaborated with the xabash and remenents of the SSDF are still serving their masters and not their nation. You can say whatever you wnat about teh Siyad Barre regime but they never served a master, they were always independant minded.
  10. Duko this is bigger then Siyad bare, we are comparing the achievements of the Somali Government and the rebel movements. You would like to compare Siyad Bare and Cabdulahi Yusuf, but I am sorry they are not in the same league, so I will not even waste time comparing Siyad Bare to Cabdulahi Yusuf. I am sorry to hear that you have lost relatives in the war, but we all did.
  11. Duke your not talking to kids here, we all know Somali history and how the SSDF was formed and what they have done. Members of a certain clan attempted a coup and it failed, guess what happened afterwards...........yes the coup leaders were persecuted, nothing new right. Now some of those plotters crossed the border and joined the Ethiopians (who were involved in a war against Somalia, who were and still are oppressing fellow Somalis) to attack Somalia, Cabdulahi Yusuf and the SSDF were amongst those that was fighting allongside the Ethiopians against his nation from 1978 onwards. SSDF is worse then the SNM and USC as they were the father of the dabo-dhil*f movements.
  12. Originally posted by The Duke: ^^^Adeer dont excuse Siyad Barre, he ended up a leader of the SNF after destroying the nation. I am not excusing Siyad Bare, I am just stating teh achievements of the Somali government and asked geeljire to give us what these rebel groups have done for our nation except bring destructions and misery to our people and country.
  13. Originally posted by The Duke: ME, adeer go wash your mouth and dont insult the SSDF. What makes the SSDF better then the USC and SNM Duke, aren't they all xabash dabo-dhil*fs?
  14. Originally posted by Geel_Jire12: If the S.N.M betrayed Somalia, then I say the Somali government betrayed its people, which led to destruction of the state and the infiltration of secular clanish groups supported by Mengistu. How did the Somali government betrayed his people? By building up a state from virtually scratch? by inventing a new Somali script? by supporting literacy campaings that helped learn over 70% of the population how to read and write? by building up one of the Strongest armies in Africa? by building factories, roads, schools, by building Xamar and making it a place for Somalis of all regions, by recording Somali history, culture, poetry, the achievements of the Somali government are countless. So geeljire give me one example of a positive thing that these rebels did for our nation. Just one.
  15. Originally posted by Northerner: The SNM destroyed Siyad's military just for the heck of it miya? 'Ragii Jabhada Wadi Kari Wayay Ee Siyaad Bare Dalka Ka Xorayn Kari Waayay Ayaa Leh Dalka Hanaloo Dhiibo' Faysal Cali Warabe Contradictory ain't it Northerner. Ina waraabe saying SNM wasn't able to defeat The SNA and your here telling blatant lies. aduunyo. But waa iska caadi
  16. The SNM may have started of as a protest group but it changed into a clan-based, qabyaalad minded, xabash supporting, Somalinimo hating rebel group and that disqualifies it. Imagine the SNM fighting Siyad bares regime for the sake of Somalinimo.3 Imagine the SNM honouring their name SOMALI NATIONAL MOVEMENT, imagine that. Do you think I would be talking about them like this? Do you think anyone would be doing anything else except honouring them? The SNM, USC, SSDF make Siyad Barre a dictator of an authoritarian regime look good, that must say enough about their succes. They have succeeded in bringing down the Somali nation, they have succeeded in destroying our social fabric, they have succeeded in implanting hate in the hearts of millions of Somalis.
  17. Yes Norther there was a Somali social fabric, people from all clans could live together in many regions peacefully and without fear of being killed for the sake of their clan. Including Waqooyi galbeed and Togdheer. The SNM has ethnically cleansed teh region, committed genocides in the cities in the brief period it controlled. The SNM used the to'laayay clan card. Your question was rethorical, plus its an irrelevant question, since the SNM didn't 'destroy' the Somali National Army. That the SNM was defeated has been discussed to death on this forum, documentation has been provided. general Cabducaziz was in Command of Northern Somalia the day Muqdisho fell to the USC and that says enough.
  18. SNM didn't destroy Siyad barre's army stop dreaming hombre. We have discussed this before SNM was defeated. However SNM (and like minded traitors) succeeded in destroying the Somali social fabric by their use of clannism as a political weapon.
  19. Talk has always been cheap and may it forever be cheap. The guy was SNM>>>>SNM was sponsored by the Ethiopians>>>>> Somalia and Ethiopia were at war with each other >>>>>>that makes the SNM collaborators>>>They betrayed their nation>>collaborated with the enemy>>>>worked for the enemy>>>>that makes them dabo-dhil*f.
  20. jacaylbaro, my ideal doesn't need selling, its common sense. united your strong, divided you fall. The animosity between Somalis is nothing compared to the hatred our enemies have for us. Our enemies want to destroy us and those that want to divide us are collaborators of our enemies. A 6 year old child can tell you that. When Somaliweyn looks back at these days, they will be remmembered as the dark ages of Somaliweyn. No one will remmember the collaborator that you started this thread for nor all the other collaborators. There is no doubt that Somaliweyn will rise its a matter of time hombre
  21. Call them SNM, SSDF, USC they where all kulmis and the fact that they were armed, trained and supported by the xabash tells it all. So yes he was a daba-dh*lif of the xabash, no cement block will change that.
  22. ^ You two mean Ethiopian-occupied Somalia. Ama Somali Galbeed.
  23. He was kulmis right? send by the xabash to destabalize his nation? betrayed his nation and collaborated with the enemy in a time of war, I wonder what jacaylbaro will say about folks who will be 'remmembering' AY and calling him halyay.
  24. Legalize it like the Dutch approach.
