  1. if you can't understand it let me put it in bold letters FOR US TO DEFEAT THIS ENEMY WE NEED TO BE UNITED AND FOR US TO BE UNITED WE NEED TO HAVE A COMMON GOAL

I cannot believe you just said that, Clearly you need some serious help, I cannot believe that you think normal everyday people are speaking out against injustice to capitalise or gain some kind of brownie/ Political points. I do not see any "lander" flying the Ethiopian Flag, (and if there are then they too are sick people) but What I have seen is a lot sincerity "landers" who are truly disgusted and feel the pain of all those who are suffering and involved in the fighting. Further more I have seen "landers" leave the comfort of their homes (from the west, & from Slander) to help out in their own way (be it right or wrong to join armed resistance). I will tell you what else for nothing: paranoid/ suspicious man lacks the essential elements to form a bond of trust, hence your talk of "unity/ Somalinimo" will always be just that, and that is the problem with most Somali people, they are too afraid to trust and let bygones be bygones. Now if you have finished your crazy paranoid accusations, I’ll be on my marry way. Xanthus I will label you, because you came forward while spekaing in the name of the secessionists, marka don't blame me for labeling you the new spokesperson of the secessionists. Ta labaad, who is talking about normal everyday people here? I am talking to Northerner. You have a point there when you say that trust is lacking and the past is keeping us hostage. So let bygones be bygones and let everyone step forward and tell us where they want to see things going. If we have differnet goals, then that means we will take differnet paths. So how can a secessionist and a Somalist take the same path if they ahve differnet goals? What are those guys you are talking about who have taken up arms fighting for? Please answer me Xanthus what should we fight for actually?

Now he is talking about my stance being opportunistic etc etc. 20 sanadood ayaanan la-isfahmayn hadu kani meesha joogo! No Northerner, you took a silly jibe at me and it took you 3 pages of you backtracking. If you had any gutts you would have appologized for your mistake, but madax adeeg ayaa meeshaas ku dhigay.
  4. Jacaybaro, abadan! I want Hunguri to chair it.
  5. Originally posted by Northerner: Me, Again, you are blurying what i said. I participation has been purely to highlight your reluctance to ask them (those who share your views on Somalinimo) questions. I think i have done that. peace and out! Northerner first you accuse me....then you take it back. Then you come back and ask me to do your work for you, why don't you step up to them and ask them yourself. I want to see that. I really would pay for it to see General Duke and Northerner discussing Somalinimo
  6. Xanthus so now you are promoted to the new spokesman/woman of the secessionists? I hope you are more capable your predecessors. The 'term' friend carries allot of weight with me and I don't take it lightly, I wouldnt call anyone who i talk with on SOL a friend, but I am glad that you are making so many friends. I am stating my opinions on my political ideals (Somalinimo) if that encourages collectiveness then thats only positive. About the issues of the secessionists all of the sudden taking notice about whats happening in Xamar, don't blame me if I doubt their sencerity, they are among others what has brought us to this situation. The secessionists are trying to score political points of whats going on in Xamar today. And theuir tactics is teh same old, my enemies enemy is my friend. What I am saying is that we need to be genuine in our approaches, come to the middle ground first, drop this secessionism and lets have a common goal. If we have differnet goals e.g. I support a Greater Somalia and Northerner supports his secessionist enity, they we can't work together because we have differnet goals and there is always that suspicion and there will be no (or weaker) resistance against the occupation in Koonfurta Soomaaliya. So for the secessionists to be taken serieusly about their stance on whats happening in Koonfurta Soomaaliya, they should put their money where their mouth is, otherwise its just another political gimmick
  7. Xanthus thank you for the translation but I have no friends here and thats where Northerner got it wrong. If Northerner has an issue with me he should come to me, he shouldn't come to me about issues concerning other people. So Northerner why don't you talk to these TFG supporters about Somalinimo? I would love to see secessionists and Stooges discussing Somalinimo, that would be a great sight.
  8. Originally posted by Northerner: We will let the audience decide if i accused you or not. If i did it was unintentional and i'm prepared to offer an apology (after the audience have decided). I'm not accusing you of supporting the TFG. I'm simply saying you should focus your energy more towards those who support them but also wave the unity and somalinimo flag. Are you prepared to have people shout somalinimo iyo unity but then hide behind an Ethiopian tank? I dont think you are. You should have asked them about their current stance rather than myself and others who are on your side in this conflict. Their current stance is clear for everyone to see, your stance however is a bit vague and it still is so where do you stand?
  9. Northerner, waad iga gaftay whether you willing to admit that or not its up to you. I am against the TFG and its supporters and I have always shown that. I have not changed my colours overnight like some people here. I was against the TFG way before they invited the Ethiopians, because I am against the federal system. So where are you getting at? The TFG, teh secessionists, Puntland, the warlords, they are all the symptoms of the same problem and they need to be dealt with equally. Edit: ilaahay af ayuu ku siiyaye waydii bal taas, mise waad ka baqaysaa? And then screaming secessionst? well they have a point on that, because two wrongs don't make a right.
  10. Then why would you LUMP me together with those who you are accusing if you are not accusing me? Whats the point of asking me such a question, if I am not even part of the group you are trying to accuse? Why don't you take your issues directly to them. I speak for myself and myself alone, so in the future come to me if you have issues regarding me
  11. Originally posted by Northerner: i asked you to ask them 'what happened to 'unity' iyo 'somalinimo'? Can you do that? 1. Why don't you ask them yourself 2. Its rich to see a secessionist talking about unity and all this time I thought you was allergic to the word ps. where is paragon when you need him, shaabadii raganimada in uu kugu dhufto ayaan rabaye
  12. Originally posted by Northerner: Your running around in circles Mr Me. Now, for the sake of transparency I would like for you to do the following. I would like you to ask those who are in the same camp as you ie ‘unity’ iyo ‘somalinimo’, to explain how their support for invasion, occupation, mass killings is in any way related to ‘unity’ iyo ‘somalinimo’. If you can do that,,,,,,,, You were very clear about what you said , but I am glad you took your accusations back, well done to you. I just wonder why would you throw around accusations that you can't back? Originally posted by Northerner: quote:Originally posted by me: Northerner thats just weak, because no one that supports Somalinimo and Unity would ever allow the occupation, the invasion and the mass killings. Nice try though. And to claim that these stooges are bringing Somalinimo only shows your contempt for the very idea of Somalinimo and the unity of our nation. You claim that I and people in the 'same camp' as me to have supported this invasion, occupation and mass killings. I want you to show me any thread that I have supported the Ethiopian invasion in my country. Show me one instance that I have supported anything that is contorary to the ideals of Somalinimo. LoL, please re-read my post. I didnt accuse you of supporting the Ethio invasion and occupation but i accused your fellow 'unity' and 'somalinimo' camp. Some of whom are happy with what is going on in the south. People you shared your vision with are today hailing the mass killings and indiscriminate bombings of Muqdisho. Hence, why i asked you to ask them 'what happened to 'unity' iyo 'somalinimo'? Can you do that? sorry for any inconvenience to your original intentions Ta labaad, what is Somalinimo according to you? because you clearly got it wrong if you claim that those who support the Ethiopian invasion are actually supporting Somalinimo. So tell me in your own words what is Somalinimo. I am just curious why do you lumop me together with those who you accuse of supporting the invasaion of Somalia, if your not accusing me of supporting it? It just shows ill will towards me, maxaan kaa galabsaday Be a man, say whats on your mind, don't beat around the bush.

  14. whats wrong Castro? I expected so much more from you. Weak arguments and now this? So come clean, you are being vague, where do you stand on Somali Unity and the war against Ethiopia? A true Somali wouldn't hesitate to answer that question.
  15. Originally posted by Castro: quote:Originally posted by me: Politically I am against secession because I have always supported Somaliweyn and always will be for the reason that we are a small nation and to survive in this global world we need to be united. Nations (even recognized ones) survive on less people and land. Think Djibouti. Or how about Palau at a whopping 191 sq. miles. Weak argument atheer. My argument is solid and the proof is whats happeing in Muqdisho today, united we are strong divided we fall. Somalia and Somalinimo has been weakend by the cancer of clannism and its symptom secessionism. Countries like Palau and a state like Djibouti rely on other nations for protection and that has its own problems, in this world were its the survival of the fittest. Clan based bantunistans in Somalia do not stand a chance in our region without external protection. So why count on external protection that has its own costs while you can avoid it by making peace within your own nation? Your argument can not even be described as weak, its pathetic. Palau kulaha. Advice to you castro, when you make arguments like these take the situation in the region and the nations history into context. Bantunistans in Somalia will also mean that these little states will be inherently weak and hostile to one onther, so instead of having 1 backward third world country, we would have 10 backward third world countries. me- My issue is social because clan discrimination does not happen to me only its a problem that happens in every Somali city and a strong Somali government and a change in social attitudes can change that. Castro - Even weaker. If you've ever lived in the west, you'd see that racism still flourishes despite the best efforts of stable and democratic governments. Tolerance can't be legislated. I haven’t seen any ethnic cleansings in the west lately and its false for you to claim that government action can’t curb racism. Racist remarks are punishble by law in many western countries. Racist attacks are even fewer in the west. So government action can lessen the problems caused by racism. So once again you come with a weak argument, is this going to be a trend? me - So my primary problem with the secessionists is that my political views and theirs clash and since I am a stakeholder in the area that they want to secede, I have a problem with them. Castro - Sounds like a two-way street. Talk it out with them. Or pick up a gun. Which ever suits your personality. No need to talk to anyone, because why talk when no one is listening and picking up a gun won’t solve anything, all sides need to figure out that concessions need to be made. me - Because why would I live a 'country' that I would be discriminated in and in who is against my political ideology? Castro - Are you in the UK? US? Canada? Elsewhere in Europe or the Middle East? Dude, you're discriminated against everywhere you go. Cry me a river. If defeatism is your style, know that everyone is not like you. There are people who would like to change this world for the better, so how about that discrimination free society? And why not start with our own nation. me - The problem is clannism and clan discrimination. Clans that are always rivaling for the power and let alone in'states'you can find clans rivaling for power in the smallest villages.[/QB] Castro - That's a problem for the secessionists and non-secessionists alike. True all sides have that problem, but the secessionists claim that when they secede everything will be shax shax, what I am saying is the same ticking timebomb is in the secessionst entity and that will explode there and this whole exercise was for nothing. So solve this problem now, deal with the cancer that’s called clannism and lets build a free and fair society for all Somalis. Did I ever show you my collection of small violins? I gave you one remmember?
  16. Castro you haven't come clean yet? So answer the question, whats your stand on Somali unity and the war against Ethiopia.
  17. All Somalis who can't live in their hometowns because of clan discrimination. They are people like me. The people who can't live in Xamar, Kismayo, Hargeysa, Bosaso...because its not 'their' city. if you can't understand the concept of clan discrimination, then what can I do for you?
  18. ^I was just thinking, the coming out of the closet thread. Waad igaga dheeraysay. marka I will boycott that thread if you start it.
  19. @ Castro - after you. Well my issue is social and political and they are linked. Politically I am against secession because I have always supported Somaliweyn and always will be for the reason that we are a small nation and to survive in this global world we need to be united. My issue is social because clan discrimination does not happen to me only its a problem that happens in every Somali city and a strong Somali government and a change in social attitudes can change that. So my primary problem with the secessionists is that my political views and theirs clash and since I am a stakeholder in the area that they want to secede, I have a problem with them. Because why would I live a 'country' that I would be discriminated in and in who is against my political ideology? Isn't enough cause for a clash? Edit: There is no doubt that I am confused and with so much going on, who isn't confused? What I am not confused about is where I want things going. Edit: secessionism does not solve the underlying problems in Somalia. The problem is clannism and clan discrimination. Clans that are always rivaling for the power and let alone in'states'you can find clans rivaling for power in the smallest villages. So whats your solution for that? Million states?
  20. ^You do BTW no need for you to adress any issues of mine, issues of people like me, who can't live in their home towns because of clan discrimination, will be addressed by any proper Somali government, so don't worry.
  21. A new front has started. I hope that the ONLF can keep them bussy. The xabash will start new operations in the area, similar to the ones in Qoraxay/Wardheer last year.
  22. Look, for the airstrikes to be accurate, they need spotters and special forces units that light up targets and thats the function of these soldiers, I think. They will light up targets with lasers and BOOM. Ma la hubaa? No, its not 100%, but when next week American planes bombard Xamar then you know. Kismayonews is reliable as far as I am concerned. Its one of my favorite sites. It gives me my daily dosage of pro-Somali news.
  23. My Shid smells like roses, thank you ayoub. This is where I stand correct me if I ever advocated for anything else. 1. Greater Somalia, Unitory state, religious or otherwise I don't mind. as long as its a nationalist state that looks out for the interests of its citizens. 2. The investigation of past crimes by all Somali factions. The truth shall sett us free...etc etc. 3. That every Somali should be able to live in peace any part of Somalia. I want to live in my house in Hargeysa and not be discriminated by some reer baadiye who has just arrived in the city... or in the case of some of you guys, ciyaal casiir carabaha ku dhashay/koray. 4. That we should abolish qabyaalad and the system that keeps it alive. 5. Justice for all, no discrimination against 'the tribes that are not armed' 6. Lets kick some ethiopian a$$. I want to piss in Meneliks palace in Adis and that Church in Harar. 7. United we are strong, divided we fall 8. My shid smells like roses. Yes its worth a whole point. 9. Kick all qabyaalad based factions a$$es equally, whether they are called Somaliland, Puntland..JVA...yada yada yada. So on how many points do we disagree? Thats what I mean. My shid smells like roses, while yours is just poo.
  24. Ethnic Somali rebels kill 74 at Chinese oilfield in Ethiopia Anita Powell in Addis Ababa Tuesday April 24, 2007 Guardian Unlimited Rebels stormed a Chinese-run oilfield in eastern Ethiopia today, killing 74 workers and destroying the facility, guerrillas and government officials said. The ****** National Liberation Front, an ethnic Somali group that has fought alongside insurgents in Somalia, also kidnapped seven Chinese workers, said an Ethiopian government official, Bereket Simon. "This was a cold blooded killing," Mr Bereket, a special adviser to the Ethiopian prime minister, Meles Zenawi, told Associated Press. "This was organised." The rebel group claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement sent to AP. It also warned all international oil companies not to operate in the region. China's official Xinhua News Agency identified the Chinese workers and Ethiopian guards as employees of the Zhongyuan Petroleum Exploration Bureau, a division of a huge state-run oil company. Xu Shuang, the general manager of Zhongyuan, based in Addis Ababa, said nine of its Chinese oil workers were killed, seven Chinese workers were kidnapped and 65 Ethiopians were killed. The attack took place early this morning in Abole, a small town 75 miles from the Somali regional state's capital Jijiga, close to the Somali border. Mr Bereket said several Ethiopian soldiers were wounded in the gunbattle. "The army is pursuing them. We will track them down dead or alive. We will make sure these people will be hunted and be brought to justice." He said the group was also linked to the Eritrean government, which Ethiopia has repeatedly accused of waging terror attacks. Eritrea denies the claims. The countries fought a border war that ended in 2000 and are accused of backing rival sides in the Somali conflict. China has increased its presence in Africa in recent years in the hunt for oil to fuel its rapidly growing economy. But forays into politically unstable areas have exposed Chinese workers to attacks. The ****** National Liberation Front warned last year that it would not tolerate investment in the ****** area that also benefited the Ethiopian government. AP
