baayo nameless looooool . I was making a point my sister, which u failed to see. U asked brotha Rudy to stop acting “black†thus my first piece was using slang “acting blackâ€, second piece “acting whiteâ€(according to popular opinion). And I asked u is this how we should talk like the “proper†people which according to many means “acting whiteâ€. My sister u should know I would never call a sister dawg or talk like that I was making a point, and it went through your head, which is cool. The “moral of my pointâ€, we shouldn’t act “black†or “white†or like any other people, but behave like our Rasul (saw) and his companions: Al-Tirmidhi reported that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah beupon him) said, "He is not one of us who imitates people other than us.†I was testing u sis , and looking for u to correct me but its cool u failed to see my point, and my sister I feel hurt u thought I purposely call u those words. Brother it is kinda sad how you want to impersonate someone that appears to be lacking any morals aswell as education. But if you want to be like an African American be my guest because it was just an friendly advice. --Perhaps you mean well sister, but this comment is racist and misguided. African American is a whole race, many of them are Muslims majority in US, some are good friends of mine who have excellent morals and are educated, sister. That is my advice to u sis, inshallah don’t in the future call an entire race of a people “lack morals†and uneducated. Would be like saying all Muslims are terrorists, not correct. Salaamu Lah

Khaliif I'd die not once but million times for their honor...a principle very few pple can understand... -Funny man, talk is cheap u aint heard. great courage dude, go ahead sxb apply your principle today. -
Tahliil, I don’t disrespect ya dig, nor do I call Muslims “boy†but brother or sister. U know what “boyâ€means. but if u did cross me with that “khalaf boy†talk in the streets it would be war, I aint moryaan but I don’t take shit. Trust man u wouldn’t be laughing my brother. And the sisters here don’t need u, cut the bullshit of “I'd surely die for themâ€, many of our women have been dishonored in Somali war and continue to be dishonored, abused, raped or killed, if u believed ur own words my brother u would have died a million deaths. and good luck to u my brother, believing your own bullshit. peace out
-
Walaal its easy for u to call me "Khalaf boy" infront of your screen, let me assure u if u did that in the street u would be coughing blood sxb, unless of course you a girl. I wont talk shit in here sxb, it is against my islamic creed. So carry on. But if u are any kind of man sxb, watch your mouth inregards to the sisters. peace
-

And how I misquote you, you clearly were implying the sister was abused. Reread your smart remarks to her. Mantra: me a problem? me and Ib is cool thats all. peace

Salaamu lah "The rule is to none but Allah ." [6: 57] "If anyone rules by other than what Allah has revealed they are kafiroon (unbelievers)." [5:44] similar ayats are [4:58-60, 4:65] My question brother Nur, since Muslims today are not following the sharia are they Kafiroon as the ayat above says? just confused, can't classify someone kafir who says the testimony I know. transgressor-but not kafir. As another hadith says one amir is required: Imam Ahmed reported on the authority of Abdullah Ibnu Amru that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "It is forbidden for three persons to be together in a secluded place without appointing one of them as their amir". (Sahih) "The knots of Islam will be undone one by one until when everyone of them is undone, and the first one to be undone is the ruling and the last one is the prayer." This hadith confused me, thinking sharia won’t come about until the end of times with the coming of Mahdi and Isa ibn Maryama. Allah Knows best. But let us not lose hope Allah and our Rasul (saw) has given us glading tidings: “Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion - the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: 'They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me. 'If any do reject Faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked.â€[sura Nur] "This affair[islam] will reach what is reached by the night and the day; and Allaah will not leave a dwelling of brick, nor fur, except that Allaah will cause this Deen to enter it bringing honour or humiliation. Honour which Allaah gives to Islaam and humiliation which Allaah will give to disbelief" [saheeh Related by Ahmad (4/103) and Ibn Hibbaan in his Saheeh (no.1631). ]. Narrated by Ahmed ra, where the Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, "Prophethood will remain amongst you for as long as Allaah wishes it to, then Allaah will raise it up when He wishes to raise it up. Then there will be Khilaafah upon the manner of Prophethood and it will remain amongst you for as long as Allaah wishes it to, then Allaah will raise it up when He wishes to raise it up. Then there will be harsh kingship which will remain amongst you for as long as Allaah wishes it to, then Allaah will raise it up when He wishes to raise it up. Then there will be tyrannical kingship and it will remain amongst you for as long as Allaah wishes it to, then Allaah will raise it up when He wishes to raise it up. Then there will be Khilaafah upon the manner of Prophethood. Then he was silent" "Indeed Allaah gathered up the earth for me so that I saw its east and its west; and indeed the dominion of my Ummah will reach what was gathered up for me from it." [Muslim] Inshallah if i said anything wrong, please correct me, and to Allah is our final return. peace out.

Brother SB, about the success of kafirs we know Pharaoh and his chiefs ruled vast kingdoms with numerous riches, power and success for consecutive generations, but we know their story in the Qu’ran. Read it, there are great parallels that fit current events. Allah says:“Let not the strutting about of the Unbelievers through the land deceive thee: Little is it for enjoyment: Their ultimate abode is Hell: what an evil bed (To lie on)!†The failures of the Muslims, started as soon as they went astray from Islam and become attached to worldly desires. When this happened our iman become weak, our hearts full of fear of man instead of Allah. Our forefathers in Islam-poor shepherds in span of few decades built a great empire-there only source the Qu’ran and Sunnah, their greatest fear Allah Alone, not even the Roman Empire messed with them. We as Muslims have tried everything my brother, democracy, socialism, communism, monarchy, dictatorships, nationalism, tribalism, all have failed us. The one source that gave us power, success and made us a jammat that lead mankind is Islam Alone, if we don’t return to it and follow it we will continue to be in our current state, weak, poor, divided, and easily conquered. My brother SB, tell me what other system, other then the Islamic system in the history of the Muslims that brought success and glory to us? You can take the answer to this question to other thread “are we ready for shairah†by brother Nur, since this thread is not about sharia, and the comments you responded to were my opinions. Again this thread is about Iran, the Next Front. peace

Iranian Leader Renews Attack on Israel at Palestinian Rally By NAZILA FATHI Published: April 15, 2006 TEHRAN, April 14 — President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Friday that Israel was a "constant threat" and predicted that it was on the verge of "being eliminated." His comments, which echoed his remark last year about "wiping Israel off the map," were made at a three-day conference on Palestine that has brought together Palestinian militant leaders and their supporters from Muslim countries. "The Zionist regime is an injustice and by its very nature a permanent threat," Mr. Ahmadinejad said during his speech at the conference. "Whether you like it or not, the Zionist regime is on the road to being eliminated." He referred to Israel as a "rotten, dried tree" that would collapse in "one storm." Mr. Ahmadinejad also said: "If there is serious doubt over the Holocaust, there is no doubt over the catastrophe and holocaust being faced by the Palestinians. Holocaust has been continuing in Palestine over the past 60 years." Mr. Ahmadinejad produced outrage in the West last year when he threatened Israel and called the Holocaust a "myth." Although his comments Friday were somewhat more temperate, they were largely in keeping with his strategy of appealing to the Arab world and to conservative forces in Iran. Among the participants in the conference were Khaled Mashaal, a top figure in Hamas, and Ramadan Abdullah Shalah, the head of the militant group Islamic Jihad, which is supported by Iran. At the conference, Tehran urged other Muslim nations to join it in sending money to Hamas to make up for the withdrawal of donations by the United States and the European Union after the group's election victory and control of the Palestinian government. Ahmad Zeidabadi, a political analyst in Tehran, said the conference seemed to be part of the Iranian government's strategy of building political support by appealing to its conservative base. "Israel is the best issue they can point to in order to mobilize their supporters," Mr. Zeidabadi said, referring to the Iranian leadership. "Israel has occupied part of the Islamic and Arab land and the West supports it. This way they can question the whole Western culture and say that what the West says about democracy and human rights is a lie and therefore what we have is right. This argument gives legitimacy to the Iranian regime." In an opening speech to the gathering, Iran's supreme religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, denounced the policies of the United States in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as its support for Israel. "The bitter taste of liberal democracy, which the United States wanted to present as a solution, has hurt the Islamic nations," he said, pointing to the prisoner abuse scandals at Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad, Iraq, and at the United States detention center at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. The war drums are again beating in Washington this time not for Iraq, but another Muslim Land-Iran. The Iranians like Saddam and his stooges in 2003 are acting deviant, and this will provide an excuse for invasion. In my opinion, not only Iran, but the entire Middle East and beyond will be invaded by the “Romansâ€. What is happening now has been described by our Rasul (saw): Abu Hurairah said, I heard the Prophet saying to Thawban, O Thawban, what will you do when the nations call one another to invade you as people call one another to come and eat from one bowl? Thawban said, May my father and my mother be sacrificed for you. O Messenger of Allah! Is it because we are so few The Prophet said, No, on that day you (Muslims) will be many, but Allah will put weakness (wahn) in your hearts. The people asked, What is that weakness, O Messenger of Allah? He said, It is love for this world and dislike of fighting. (Ahmad.) We shall see what happens in the coming years inshallah. No matter the population of Muslims-billions we will continue to be defeated, weak, poor, cause we went astray, our hearts are not full of fear of Allah but fear of Man, our lands will be invaded, our people slaughtered day after day (this includes the situation in our land),until and when we return to the one source that has given us Glory, Strength, and Made us a community that lead mankind-the fear of Allah Alone-Qu’ran in our hearts and our guide. Until then we will never leave this state of humiliation and the oppression of our breathen will continue. Yaa Allah we ask you to join the hearts of the Muslims as you joined the hearts of the Muhajireen and the Ansaar. Ameen yaa Raab.

Tahliil, why u on the sisters age, who made u judge and tell her to settle down with “moron, A farah most likelyâ€(suppose u girl saying that). It’s her life, let her do what she wants, she got her own mind she can decide for herself. We are here to advice. And that’s dirty implying she was abused, you don’t know nothing of her so don’t judge the sister’s life by reading few lines she wrote. And she didn’t say she is getting her masters, but planning to her masters next yr inshallah, after undergraduate study puts her age around 21-22 for ur coursity. gots to love our people. IB don’t just sleep on it baayo, but make salaat and give specific du’a to make good a decision. Salaam.

My dear sister LayZieGirl ponder over these words: 'The best amongst you are those who have the best manners and character.' "I asked the Messenger of God (saw): Who is the best Muslim? The Messenger of God (saw ) replied, "He is the one from whom Muslims are safe from the evil of his tongue and hands." (Muslim) "Nor defame one another" (49:11), "Do not spend your time finding fault with one another." Say to My servants that they should only say those things that are best, for Satan does sow dissensions among them, for Satan is to man an avowed enemy. (17:53) “Verily the believer because of his good character attains the stage of the fasting one and one who stands in prayer during the night.†“None of you will be a believer until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.†(al-Bukhari 12) "Allah's Apostle said, 'Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to mankind.' "A believer is not a fault-finder and is not abusive, obscene, or course." The believers are but brethren, therefore make peace between your brethren and be careful of (your duty to) Allah that mercy may be had on you. “He will not enter heaven whose neighbor is not safe from his troubles.†(Muslim 66) You have indeed in the Messenger of God an excellent pattern of conduct. (33:21) Indeed being good to our fellow man is part of our deen. And welcome my sister sofine, inshallah baraka to you sis. Salaam

Point, misunderstanding brother. No problem, I can act a fool sometimes lool so i wouldn't be suprised if u were addressing me. But still brother, we shouldn't call each other names. Not everyone is at the same level of understanding or sees the world the same. A smart girl once told me, in regards to religion communication is the key, when u shut down someone call them names they feel offended and won't hear you out. So my appoligizes bartender if I offended you,and inshallah if you want we can discuss why Only Allah is worth Praise, and you can share your prespectives, no judgements just dialogue. Your call. “I often thank Allah that I learned Diinta way before I started interacting with Muslims.†Great words of wisdom. I am seeing from some of the comments the challenges facing the woman in the Muslim Lands. A thread about if woman can be head of Islamic country (Khalifah I thought) turn into questioning the capability of women, her intellect and her involvement (vital I should mention) in public society. As Muslims we need to take a hard look at ourselves and our societies in regards to the treatment of women. Islam has given the woman freedom, but this is theory unless concretely applied and in the end means nothing. I agree with brother Viking, our deen is moderation not extremism. Lets not pass our cultural attitudes as Islam. Where does this discussion end? forget about women leading a nation(I don’t see the big deal since in current circumstances why the best candidate shouldn’t get the vote), but the question should be what is the role of women in Muslim society, this is a bigger and more important question which we seem to discussing here. These interpretations of Hadith, Qu’ran has made our sisters take a backseat in society, and our societies are failing as result. Forget the state, even in organizations such as MSA, masjid boards we hardly see women presidents or active policy makers. This is indeed present across the board, and perhaps originates from this type of thinking demonstrated by some here. To believe that half of the population constituency should have no role in decision making/politics, and have no say in laws that effect them is indeed ignorant of the way of Muhammad pbuh and no less racist then the southern whites who excluded blacks from participation in politics. How is this good for society that women shouldn’t be in parliament, or participate in politics? We are talking about head of state, not a complete shut out of half the population and leaving them in the dark on policies that directly affect their affairs. And their input and perspectives would add great value to the betterment of society since they are part of the society and are affected by that society. As the ayat says: "And [as for] the believers, both men and women - they are friends and protectors of one another: they [all] enjoin the doing of what is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong." (Quran 9:71). Both men and women are active in the community in order to ensure a productive society, both consult one another, this is the way of our glorious history, but not the way of the corrupt middle eastern/African/Asian societies of today who pass their culture as Islam. Peace

Here is piece related to suleyman article from islamqa: Edit: Yaa Raab: I am putting this in here, some of the comments are....Allahu Akbar not accurate. Amelia put down your knife don't go homicidal on us. Question : Are women allowed to be rulers in the islamic shariah? (i would prefer evidence from the Qur'an). Answer : Praise be to Allaah. Firstly: We appreciate our brother’s keenness to find out and follow the evidence from the Qur’aan, but there will not necessarily be evidence specifically from the Qur’aan for every issue. Rather the evidence for many rulings is to be found in the saheeh Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), not the Qur’aan. The Muslim has to follow the evidence of both the Qur’aan and Sunnah. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you who believe! Obey Allaah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allaah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allaah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination†[al-Nisa’ 4:59] Allaah has commanded us to obey Him and to obey His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and He has commanded us to refer matters of dispute to His Book and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad) gives you, take it; and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it). And fear Allaah; verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment†[al-Hashr 59:7] Ibn Maajah (12) narrated from al-Miqdaam ibn Ma’di Yakrib that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Soon there will come a time when a man will be reclining on his pillow, and when one of my hadeeth is narrated to him, he will say, ‘The Book of Allaah is (sufficient) between us and you. Whatever it states is permissible we will take as permissible, and whatever it states is forbidden, we will take as forbidden.’ Verily, whatever the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has forbidden is like that which Allaah has forbidden.†Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 8186 Secondly: The evidence from the Qur’aan and Sunnah indicates that it is not permissible for a woman to assume positions of senior public authority, such as the caliph (khaleefah), minister of state (wazeer or vizier) or judge (qaadi) and so on. 1 – Evidence from the Qur’aan: Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means†[al-Nisa 4:34] Al-Qurtubi said: The words “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women†mean that they spend on them and protect them, and also that they (men) are the rulers and governors, and the ones who go on military campaigns, and none of these are the role of women. Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 5/168. Ibn Katheer said: It means the man is in charge of the woman; he is her leader, the ruler over her who disciplines her if she goes astray. “because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other†means, because men are superior to woman, and a man is better than a woman. Hence Prophethood was given only to men, as is the role of caliph, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No people will ever prosper who appoint a woman in charge of them.†Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 1/492. 2 –Evidence from the Sunnah: It was narrated that Abu Bakrah said: When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) heard that the people of Persia had appointed the daughter of Chosroes as their queen, he said, “No people will ever prosper who appoint a woman in charge of them.†Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4163. Al-Shawkaani said in Nayl al-Awtaar, 8/305: This indicates that women are not qualified to rule, and it is not permissible for people to appoint them as rulers, because they must avoid that which will cause them not to prosper. Al-Maawirdi said, in the context of his discussion of the position of wazeer: It is not permissible for a woman to play this role, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “No people will prosper if they delegate their affairs to a woman.†And because these positions require wisdom and resolve, which women may be lacking in, and requires appearing in public to handle matters directly, which is haraam for them to do. Al-Ahkaam al-Sultaaniyyah, p. 46. Ibn Hazm (may Allaah have mercy on him) said, in the context of his discussion on the role of caliph: There is no dispute that it is not permissible for a woman (to be caliph). Al-Fasl fi’l-Milal wa’l-Nihal, 4/129. In al-Mawsoo’ah al-Fiqhiyyah (21/270) it says: The fuqaha’ are agreed that one of the conditions of the position of caliph is that the holder should be male. The leadership of a woman is not valid, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No people will ever prosper who appoint a woman in charge of them.†That is also so that he will be able to mix with men, to devote his time solely to dealing with affairs of state, and because this position involves handling very serious matters. The responsibility is great and this is a man’s role. Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked the following question: What is the Islamic view on a woman being nominated as a candidate for the position of head of state, or head of a government, or a public ministry? He replied: It is not permissible to appoint or elect a woman as head of state. This is indicated by the Qur’aan, Sunnah and scholarly consensus. In the Qur’aan, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other…†[al-Nisa 4:34] The ruling in the verse is general and includes a man’s position of leadership in his family, and applies more so to his position of public leadership. This ruling is supported by the reason given in the verse itself, which is men’s intellectual superiority and better understanding etc, which are basic qualifications for leadership. In the Sunnah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No people will ever prosper who appoint a woman in charge of them.†Narrated by al-Bukhaari. Undoubtedly this hadeeth indicates that it is haraam for a woman to take a position of public leadership, or to become the governor of a province or city, because all of that comes under the general meaning of the hadeeth, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that those who appoint a woman as their leader will never prosper. Prospering means being successful and doing well. The ummah unanimously agreed in practical terms at the time of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs and the imams of the first three generations, which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) testified were the best of generations, that women should not be appointed as governors or judges. There were women who were brilliant in religious knowledge, to whom scholars would refer concerning knowledge of Qur’aan, hadeeth and religious rulings, but no woman aspired to positions of public leadership during that time or any other position of that nature. The shar’i responsibilities of such positions cannot be carried out by women, because that involves travelling to the provinces, and mixing with the members of the ummah, and meeting with them, and leading the army sometimes in jihad, and negotiating with the enemy, and accepting oaths of allegiance from members of the ummah, and meeting with them, men and women, at times of war and peace, and so on. This is not appropriate for a woman, and it goes against the rulings of sharee’ah that are established to protect her and keep her safe from having to go out and mix in such a manner. Rationally speaking, women should not be given positions of public office, because what is required of the one who is chosen for such a position is that he should a man of great resolve, determination, smartness, will power and good management skills. These characteristics are lacking in women because they have been created with weakness in their intellect and thinking, and with strong emotions, so electing them to such positions is not in the interests of the Muslims and does not help them to achieve greatness. And Allaah is the source of strength. May Allaah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and companions. Majallat al-Mujtama’, issue no. 890. And Allaah knows best. Marriage on your mind? No, where is the closest exist? run! Interesting topic, marriage i don't know if it is due to being raised in the west, but frightens lotta of us. As sister Raxima stated, the ulemaa label someone who does not pray as a kaafir. Salah is one major thing that separates a Muslim from a Kaafir. With due respect, i take issue with this. It is wrong to label someone who proclaims the testimony and believes in the last day, Kafir. No muslim has right to label another muslim unbeliever, this is wrong. Faith is in the heart, and no one knows the heart except Allah. Personally, if i found a great girl who was feeling me and vice versa, and she was good person, had good heart, down for me, loyal to me, had my interests in mind, made me happy, and loved me, and fit all the qualities but was not good at prayer or didn't wear hijab, i would marry her(once i get to that point ) . peace

i was gonna be funny ibtisam, but this is serious baayo. you plan by yourself to travel around the world? Let me ask you question macaan have you ever traveled by yourself to foreign country? Are you experienced traveler? I think its wrong for woman to travel alone in this dangerous world(we are not crazy mullahs we care about yall safety), but even more if she is inexperienced. Inshallah u will make the best decision, and Allah will protect u. ps: going to germany inshallah, i can be your muxrim, just send me check gladly take u all over the world . peace
