Peacenow you see that is the problem, you never answer any questions or defend your claims when challenged. Remember the topic: "islam weakens somalia" posted twice in two different sections? You ranted, but didn't defend your claims, you may have your own agendas Allah Knows Best, but continue to rant sxb, but drill this in ur head we the people of Somalia are Muslims first and foremost, and we share a long great history and links with the Muslims of Arabiya and throughout the ummah. Hopefully ull understand that one day inshallah, but read this piece on your way out. She is quite brilliant, and I think is talking about you. and btw Obama has no chance, zero, zip of becoming the president of US, what a joke . For you Peacenow, Enjoy it. peace out.

A strange arguement indeed. Peacenow sxb I don’t understand your beef or your logic in how you come with your conclusions. On the one hand I share your frustration at the state of our people and country Somalia, on the other hand I don’t understand how in your head you link all our problems on Islam and “the Arabs”. Why don’t you explain that to first. Don’t run and hide, and throw out accusations logically defend your accusations and conclusions that you made. Two: what do you suggest to the somali community: should they leave their religion and embrace modernism aka western traditions or embrace “black power”, which one is it? Serious sxb your not making sense to me, and I am doing my best here not to jump the gun and come up with my own conclusions. The floor is yours, explain away. Thepoint sxb I understand everyone is part of the human race and we Muslims respect and honor all bani adam, but islam and the prophetic tradition categorizes people’s closeness/bond on aqeedah and not race/blood/linage ect. Peacenow, or pansomalism/nationalists ect advocates should understand this important element of their aqeedah (Faith), and not have any haterd/dislike against the believers nor like for them to suffer, or be "invaded" as peacenow is doing on this thread. ps: Peacenow are u Muslim? Serious sxb, no hard feelings lakiin go learn your deen and history, because you talking a lot of Ignorance.

peacenow, read the autobiography of Malcolm X (Allahu ya Raxmah), u can learn a lot from that. it should be at the library if they don't have it in Milan, give me your address and ill ship to u for free man. Dude serious u are messed up man, my brothers are not those who I share a race, enthincity with but those I share a religion with. F black, african iyo somali, even my flesh and blood if they don;t share my aqeedah, closer to me is one regardless of color or nation that is of my aqeedah deenul islam.

Luqman was an Abyssinian slave carpenter. His master ordered him one day to slay a sheep, he did. Then his master asked him to bring him the best two parts of the sheep. He brought to him its tongue and its heart. After a few days he ordered him again to slay a sheep and bring him the worst two parts of the sheep. He did, and brought him its tongue and its heart. His master then said to him, "When I asked you to bring me the best two pieces of the sheep you gave me its tongue and its heart; and when I asked you to bring me the worst two parts of the sheep you again gave me its tongue and its heart!" Luqman explained, "Nothing is better than the tongue and the heart when they are good, and nothing is worse than the tongue and the heart if they are bad" [Abu Dawood, Daleel al-Saileen, p 125] Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH): "Who is the most excellent among the Muslims?'' He said, "One from whose tongue and hands the other Muslims are secure.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. ^^Applies to all bani adam not just the Muslims. Peace!

Start with yourself: A man was on his death bed, Someone asked him to give some wise counsel before he departed, the world he Said. " When I was young I wanted to change the world and solve its problems, As I got older I realized that perhaps I should lower my sights, I thought I would be better served in changing my country as time went on I realized that people of country could not be changed. I decided to change the people of my town , but they also did not wish to change, When I reached my old age I thought I would try changing my Family, here also I found my endeavors go to waste, try as I might my family members would not change. " Now that I am on my death bed, I have realized that if I had sought to improve myself, and removed my own defects, then perhaps my family members would have been influenced. Then seeing the behavior of my family people of my town would have been influenced. By seeing the spiritual change and improvement of the people of my town, the people of my country would have been influenced. And perhaps through the people of my country the world may have been influenced." The son of Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) use to say: At evening do not expect [to live till] morning, and at morning do not expect [to live till] evening. Take from your health for your illness and from your life for your death. (Bukhari). Umar Al Farooq(ra). Said: " Judge Yourselves before you yourselves are judged;and weigh yourselves before you yourselves are weighed in the balance. When you are brought to account tomorrow, it will be much easier for you if you have already brought your selves to account today-so do so, before you come to the final gathering "

Superiority of the Poor 1. Harithah bin Wahb (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "Shall I not inform you about the people of Jannah? It is every person who is, modest and humble (before Allah), a person who is accounted weak and is looked down upon but if he adjures Allah, Allah will certainly give him what he desires. Now shall I not inform you about the inmates of Hell? It is every violent, impertinent and proud man". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. Commentary: This Hadith tells us about distinction of such weak, poor and secluded persons who do not have any important position in society but are so eminent in the realm of piety that, out of their utmost trust in Allah, if they take an oath for something, Almighty Allah fulfills their oath. Thus, this Hadith highlights the importance of modesty and condemns pride, miserliness and lust for name and fame. 2. Sahl bin Sa`d As-Sa`idi (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man passed by the Prophet (PBUH), so he asked a man who was sitting near him, "What is your opinion about this man?'' That man replied: "He is one of the noblest men. By Allah he is certainly a proper person for (a girl) being given in marriage if he seeks to marry, and his recommendation is fit to be accepted if he recommends". Messenger of Allah (PBUH) remained silent. Then another man passed. Messenger of Allah (PBUH) enquired, "What is your opinion about this man?'' He replied: "O Messenger of Allah, he is one of the poor Muslims. He is not a proper person (for a girl) to be given in marriage to, and his recommendation would not be accepted if he makes one; if he speaks, he is not to be listened to.'' Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He is better than the former by earthfuls". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. Commentary: This Hadith contains the following two important points: 1. The distinction and greatness of such poor Muslims who are neither known in society because due to their poverty nor are they respected by people. But due to their Faith and piety, each of them is better in the sight of Allah than others. This Hadith makes it abundantly clear that what really matters with Allah is Faith and piety not lineage nor pomp and show. 2. For marriage purposes, men and women of noble character should be selected even if they are poor because at the level of religion they are on par with other Muslims. Thus, the principle underlined here is that the preference should be given to the equality in respect of religion rather than worldly wealth and richness.

I found this interesting, check this out: 1. Sh. Ali Goma was quoted by newsweek as saying apostasy is allowed in Islam (Like Sh. Ramadan) here, but said he was misquoted here and that Islam doesnt allow apostasy , which is the general position taken by the ulama past and present. And Allah Knows Best.

Because the white man has invented most of the world 's material "things" (planes, cars, computers, mashines, ect) does that make them the "master race"? They (and many others) certainly believe this. And whatever the "blacks" invented we didn't learn it in school. And seeing the place of the African in the world status and their history, this only reinforces the idea of their "lack of intelligence".

Soomaalidu been way sheegtaa beense ma maahmaahdo. Somalis lie, but their proverbs are not lies. Alright, translating aint gonna be the best, but I’ll try, proverbs have lotta wisdom. Here’s some I try my best to translate ones I learned: 1. Dagaal wiil kuma dhashee, wiilbaa ku dhinta. ---In war a boy isn’t born, but a boy dies. 2. Aqoon la’aani waa iftiin la’aan ---There is no light without knowledge. 3. Far keliya Fool ma dhaqdo ---My moms favorite. One finger doesn’t wash the dish. Basically talks about the importance of working together as a team (like the 5 fingers). 4. Af Daboolan, Dahab waaye --Silence is golden. 5. Dumar beenna waa lagu soo xero geliyaa runna waa lagu dhaqaa. --Lie to a woman to win her, but you can only keep her with the truth. 6. Rag wuxuu kugu bartuu kugu dilaa ---People use against you what they see from you. 7. Nimaad taqaano, yaatahay lama yiraahdo. --You don’t ask a man you know who he is. 8. Nin jiifa lama legdo. ---You can’t wrestle a man sleeping. 9. Maskin Ilaahey naqo, maskiin bani aden lamo naqdo. ---Bascially translates to people will take advantage of you hadaad "maskiin" thay. 10. Naago waa belo loo baahan yahay. --women, you cant live with them but you cant live without them. 11. DAWLAD XUMI DAWLAD LA'AAN WAY DHAANTAA -a bad gov is better then no gov 12. Saddex Ilaah waa karaa, mana sameeyo: 1.Ilaahow guursan maayee wiil i sii, 2.Ilaahow shaqaysan maayee xoolo i sii, 3.iyo Ilaahow ku caabudi maayee jannada i gee. ---Allah can grant these three wishes but does not: 1. I won't marry but give me children, 2. I won't work but give me means, 3. I won’t worship you but grant me jannah. 13. waayeel tag lama dhaho , waxuu ku taggo ayaa la tusaa. ---You don’t ask people to leave, you show them what would make them leave. 14. Meel libaax soo galay lo' majoogeeso. ma garaan anigu. translate? 15. Mukulaas minankeeda fadhidaa mici libaax bay leedahay. -Meaning: a cat in its own house is as strong as a lion. 16. dhul aadan laheyn dharagtiisu aaya ma leh. Ma garaan, lakiin means your homeland is the best. 17. dhaldhalaalka shisheeye dhag ha u dhigin --Ma garaan *translation?* 18. Saddex baa rag u liita; Ma toshe, ma tashade iyo ma tashiishe -think it means, worst of men are three: he who doesn't advice, or take advice. doesnt think about life? close enuff. 19. Habar fadhida legdini wax uga fudud --talk is cheap 20. Markii Geel loo heeso, Gorayo u hees ---When the talk is about X, you talk about Y. 21. gabadha hooyadeed haruurka tunto, ayadana haadinta ayey taqaantaa/barataa. ---about mother in law to be? wa la hashii hooyoda. 22. Dabka sida lugu shido waa fudud tahay sida lagu damiyo se baa adag. --its easy to start a fire, but difficult to stop it. nabad gelyo.

The above exchange with Khalaf shows one of the classical rationalisations of 'moderate' dha umm er TFG supporters when their prejudice(can't really call it reasoning) comes into conflict with the truth and reality. And how do you come to this conclusion sxb? Naac naacda iiga jooji, and war cad la iimo meshaan, cidu Sayidka yiri ama aaf gaalo ama aaf Muslim. Thus tell me sxb what factors makes me of all people prejudice, If I don’t see it your way and those whom you support (rather idolize)? Considering we are Somalis (the clan tang), the only thing I can think that makes one reach such a conclusion is my bloodline. Well am I right? Taas iiga jawaab marka hoorey. Marka labaad, you want truth and reality sweetheart? Grab a chair and pay close attention, absorb this shit uma about to spit, and put your buufis aside, cause I don’t want to repeat myself ya get me? Somalia’s problems didn’t start with the Ethiopian presence today. History is a great teacher of the realities of the present. Marka lets Rewind dis piece! Somalia not long ago, witnessed one of the greatest massacres in the 20th century, hundreds of thousands killed and hundreds of thousands displaced all over the world, their properties looted, and while many perished and were oppressed by various thugs, many profited. Thus, how does one heal a wound this great? Bridge a gap this big? Restore a trust broken into a million pieces? Numerous attempts “collectively” were made to do what? Reconcile the people’s differences, but they always ended up in failure. The last attempt was in 2004 after a long processes, this current TFG was put in place as a transitional government. And coincidently with the appointment of Mr. Yusuf as head of the TFG and after years of “tolerating” the warlords, who were unable to deliver one of “their own” as head of the TFG, the people got tried of the qabqabyal and supported instead the clan courts, a coincidence that occurs 17 years after the fact.. Ka gudub, the courts achieved success and were a far better alternative for the people. However how did they use their “power” is the question? Its important to mention Somalis across the board, backed what they thought was a dacaad islamic movement. No Muslim likes to see other Muslims suffer. Somalis hoped for khayr, and thought courts as dacaad to deliever haaq! But sooner or later hypocrisy will be exposed, and it was. People got off the bandwagon as criminal warlords (based on clanship) that were yesterday moryaans today became in a snap ministries of “jihad”. WTF? Ka saco! Instead of focusing on bringing justice to the oppressed people of shebble hoose and the south, focus on building the south for the time being reconciling the clans, and calling all the people to haaq, and brotherhood, peace, righteousness, justice, and dialogue as true men of deen do, the method of prophethood (what I believe in.... and these cats forget calling the people to it, failed themselves to uphold these islamic elements, but I got cha it's "mistakes").....drunken with their own power (jahilya of the deen coupled with moryanism is not a good combination).........heeeeeeha bring the women and children out to parade them with guns issuing threats against their neighbors, threatening to capture Addis in 7 days. What do you suspect to happen in “a global village” with this gun-****policy engineered by the jahiliya? Somalidu waxeey tiraahdaa lax kasto meesheey is dhigtey ayaa lagu bireyaa. Therefore the chicken came home to roost, and the destruction and lose of life which soon after took place, is equally if not more on the shoulders by those who instigated this tragedy and were blinded by the illusion of power. That’s the Truth and Reality and the world is not fair adeer! Now what next, is the Question? It’s been months of bullshit arguing and pin pointing sxb, I want to share ideas, answers, solutions on how we as a people be aboard or back home can get out of this mess and march forward collectively. As my hooyo says far kaliiah fuul ma daqdoo which basically translates to one finger can not wash the dish. If your going to come back to this post with your usual farts and hissy fits against the Dukes and other nomads, and trivial issues such as why they have a different opinion then yours, don’t bother replying! Enlighten Me sxb with your ideas on how to deal with the realities on the ground, or otherwise iska amus. You keep referring to my “neutral position”, there is nothing neutral about my position. For one I am not in corrupt politics nor do I believe in endorsing its politicians, my personal convictions. I believe in certain Ideals, principals in which I said no one individual or group embodies in Somalia, not even close! Somalia is a mess, Huungri iyo kursi ba la isku diilaya! Add these internal divisions and corruptions, to the external factors with their own agendas. But that’s beyond the scope of your jahiliya thinkin, when the little mind says suicide bombings, and assassinating clan elders or delegates that negotiate with the TFG can bring a victory or deliver the nation. But since you believe in this fantasy, newsflash for ya, there was never a greater unitied and violent resistance then Sayidka and The Darwish in Somalia, and they failed because of these tactical mistakes, whatever Allah Wills Occurs, lakiin If I was a betting man I wouldn’t bet on the current opposition incorporated of disgruntled warlords, clanists, okey my fault sheikhs to deliver. What I advocate for is simple, the reconciliation process call it what you want, opinions are a dime a dozen, and neither do your hissy fits comfortly from DC nor the fake fatwas from Asamara matter much ,what matters is what the average somali living in Somalia wants and needs, and who is asking them btw? They certainly can’t afford any lengthy violence! What should be done: the Ethiopians should withdrawal, reconciliation between the clans, peace talks between the opponents, disarming of the society, and creating of local security, empowering the “locals” in their own districts, assistance of the world in particular the Muslim world, active contribution of the somali community, their elders, intellectuals from aboard ect, rebuilding of the countries institutions, attracting investment to the country, this is only a transitional government btw and though not popularly supported its not popularly resisted neither. See what the “elections” in 09 bring inshallah, Kapiche. Anything else? Don’t disappoint me sxb with anymore of your hissy fits. Pathetic. Gotta run. More on this birito, inshallah. hehhe...buufis ba qabtaa....I had to run awoowe, but i am here now sunshine and inshallah will be back another day for more, but don't disappoint me i said i want ideas not hissy fits against SOL personalities. Salaamu lah. And in case you were still wondering, yes, Some Muslims do fornicate in Makkah during Ramadan And they also sexually molest other pilgrims. During Tawaf. In front of the Kacba. Shocked ? Disturbing, why would that put a smile on your face?
-
^^^Reasonable? Come on sxb...your way past that ....Really how reasonable is it to call yourself an "islamic organization" acudu billahi then appoint a famous druglord and occupier oppressor of innocent people to call for the highest duty in Islam? Good God! Anway an entire organization built on xaraan iyo hyopcrisy, two One flith (haraan) on your body and adigu dhaan ba haraan ahhh. Its the basics. Like I said Somalia haraan oo dhaan ba isku timiid. I gotta jet. peace out.
-
^^^***Sigh***....Let me repeat it to you Kash. What you seem to overlook is the haraan ku nax cimaad wearing warlords and mere druglords calling for "holy wars". Aduunyo! Like I said Somalia haraan oo dhaan ba isku timiid.

Walaalshiis before any type of surgery, always seek another opinion, see a different doctor. sometimes ppl undergo unnecessary surgery. Anyway my du'as. May Allah give us all health. Amiin. salaam
-
What you seem to overlook cuz is that the corrupt/haraan ku naax warlords and Ethiopia unfortunately Duke came as the parcel gift of getting rid of the “deadliest miltia” in Somalia. Ahh well. Good luck Somalia is all i can say! Till next time yaa akhi.
-
Duke Adeer its not important what people call themselves or what other's believe about them. Somalia haraan oo dhaan ba isku timiid....and its my opinion that nothin or group in sight will either benfit the nation or the people, but the opposite effect. But anyway lets just work with whats on the ground instead of the titles. I raised points above about weapons which are obstacles to peace, and which this government is not giving any priorty addressing. This includes the weapons of the warlords (rather independent from the government) btw. Why is that so? And two you do underestimate the opposition, weather miltarly or politically against the TFG.

Originally posted by The Duke: Who wanted to kill innocent delegates yet killed six children? Call them what you want these people are ******. Do you think these guys are the courts? What/how/when are the courts anyway? Somalia all of it wa qa saanthay! I am beginning to think this is what is wanted civil strive iyo continuation of violence, stealing of resources is easier this way no? because the right steps are not being taken by this government which by and large is in control of the country. Listen Cuz, I read the answer’s you gave me in the other thread, highly appreciated adeer, though I don’t think Ethiopia after investing their sweat and blood is going anywhere anytime soon, and this would build resentment from local populations in the long run if you choose to believe it or not.....However what you didn’t touch upon and should realize if not alreadly is that is in post-conflict societies, when institutions are still fragile, and the population very vulnerable in particular a failed state like Somalia and as u’ve said violent (corrupt) struggle for power and the resources from many different indivduals and entities..........the worst adversary to peace and stability is the circulation of weapons. This is the most vital factor in contributing to violence and destabilization of society. And who are the ones with weapons, guns Duke? Anybody, from average criminals, to warlords and their crew (like Qanyares) or to resistance fighters against the Ethiopian presence, basically anybody, there are tons and tons of millions of light weapons in Somalia thank the cold war and the black market! And because their hasn’t been a clear mandate addressing the collection and destruction of weapons nor any adequate resources given to disarmament operations, there cant be no peace and this TFG or any other enitity in Somalia is doomed to fail. That is just a little history lesson.

In An-Nadwah (Council) House The Parliament of Quraish The polytheists were paralysed by the carefully planned and speedy movement of Muhammad’s followers towards their new abode in Madinah. They were caught in unprecedented anxiety and got deeply worried over their whole pagan and economic entity. They already experienced Muhammad [pbuh] as an influential leader; and his followers as determined, decent and always ready to sacrifice all they had for the sake of the Messenger of Allâh [pbuh]. Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj tribes, the would-be-hosts of the Makkan Muslims, were also known in Arabia for their might and power in war, and judicious and sensible approach in peace. They were also averse to rancour and prejudice for they themselves had had bitter days of inter-tribal warfare. Madinah , itself, the prospective headquarters of the ever-growing Islamic Call, enjoyed the most serious strategic position. It commanded the commercial routes leading to Makkah whose people used to deal in about a quarter of a million gold dinar-worth commodities every year. Security of the caravan routes was crucial for the perpetuity of prosperous economic life. All those factors borne in mind, the polytheists felt they were in the grip of a serious threat. They, therefore, began to seek the most effective method that could avert this imminent danger. They convened a meeting on Thursday, 26th Safar, the year fourteen of Prophethood / 12th September 622 A.D[For details see Rahmat-al-lil'alameen 1/95-102] ., i.e. two and a half months after the Great ‘Aqabah Pledge. On that day, "the Parliament of Makkah" held the most serious meeting ever, with one item on the agenda: How to take effective measures with a view to stopping that tidal wave. Delegates representing all the Quraishite tribes attended the meeting, the most significant of whom were: 1. Abu Jahl bin Hisham, from Bani Makhzum; 2. Jubair bin Mut‘im, Tuaima bin ‘Adi, and Al- Harith bin ‘Amir representing Bani Naufal bin ‘Abd Munaf; 3. Rabi‘a’s two sons Shaibah and ‘Utbah besides Abu Sufyan bin Harb from Bani ‘Abd Shams bin ‘Abd Munaf; 4. An-Nadr bin Al-Harith (who had besmeared the Prophet [pbuh] with animal entrails) to speak for Bani ‘Abd Ad-Dar; 5. Abul Bukhtary bin Hisham, Zama‘a bin Al-Aswad and Hakeem bin Hizam to represent Bani Asad bin ‘Abd Al-‘Uzza; 6. Al-Hajjaj’s two sons Nabih and Munbih from Bani Sahm; 7. Omaiyah bin Khalaf from Bani Jumah. On their way to An-Nadwah House, Iblis (Satan) in the guise of a venerable elderly man standing at the door interrupted their talk and introduced himself as a man from Najd curious enough to attend the meeting, listen to the debate and wish them success to reach a sound opinion. He was readily admitted in. There was a lengthy debate and several proposals were put forward. Expulsion from Makkah was proposed and debated in turn but finally turned down on grounds that his sweet and heart-touching words could entice the other Arabs to attack them in their own city. Imprisonment for life was also debated but also refused for fear that his followers might increase in number, overpower them and release him by force. At this point, the arch-criminal of Makkah, Abu Jahl bin Hisham suggested that they assassinate him. But assassination by one man would have exposed him and his family to the vengeance of blood. The difficulty was at last solved by Abu Jahl himself, who suggested that a band of young men, one from each tribe, should strike Muhammad simultaneously with their swords so that the blood-money would be spread over them all and therefore could not be exacted, and his people would seek a mind-based recourse for settlement. The sinful proposal was unanimously accepted, and the representatives broke up the meeting and went back home with full determination for immediate implementation. [ibn Hisham 1/480-482]
