^heh, i think im related to one of the guys up there. anywhoo, to answer the question the young lady posted, i break fast at work and/or at school. i bring fresh dates with me (which i recommend to others) and a bottle of water everywhere i go. however the other day i found out the msa was serving iftar (and will be for the rest of the month). they piled a plate of everything they had for me and i couldnt finish it so i had to head back to class with a hot, smelly stirophoam plate. i was sitting in the front bt i sensed the eyes and flared nostrils trying to get a whif of my food.

i think some of it is plausible and accually happening now, like cameras in bathroom stalls, womens gyms, or even men videotaping their "sexual conquests" and showing on the world wide web. however that this would result in a woman prostituting herself or commiting murder... yeah, its a little too far fetched to take seriously. its the angle the story is coming from, it doesnt help the cause.

it prolly is false, however we do have muslims converting to christianity. if they were true muslims to begin with, only allah knows.

i think its false, mainly cause of the ending. i guess the writer just didnt knw how to end it and went the melodramatic road.

this made me angry, jesus is her saviour? arghh! :mad: she stopped believing cause ilahi tested her and she failed. those that allah has steered away from the path, none can save other than Allah Himself. insha allah shell see her faults... thats if this is accually a real story and not one being past around by christians trying to "save" muslims. they wont be happy til we reject our faith to join theirs. subhaanallah.

learn something about islam everyday watch my mouth (i use bad language cause i think its funny) watch my mouth, as in what i say, i think i talk too much read and finish prophet mohammed (peace and blessings from allah be upon him) biography. limit my tv consumption (which is hard, cause i watched one hour of tv my first night of ramadaan and last night i watched approx 2 hours, god forgive me) increase in charity and good will pray on time, errryday, paying close attention to fajr (which is uuuuum disappointing so far) not break my fast with haraam things remember allah often oh, and pray tarawih at home (its a first for me too) learn to cook something people like (i want to be the one who feeds my fasting family, at least once) aaaaaaaaaannnnd thats about it. basically i want to come out of this a better muslim and incoorporate some stuff i learned this month throughout the year.

do any of you understand or grasp at the idea that MOST people taking part in this practise (countries like pakistan, parts of north africa and arabia) rationalize it by claiming it to be a part of islam? yes its a sensitive issue, its an ugly part of our culture, but whats uglier is that we sweep in under the rug and have young girls go through this ABSOLUTELY UGLY practise cause we dont want people to look down on us. what is it pride? well look at iblis. somalis need to check their pride, be humble enough to recognize and rectify our flaws. its not something pleasant to talk about, thats what offends you? lets ask what the girl who has to go through this what she finds offensive. meanwhile, people (actual muslims) are still claiming its a part of our deen. now THAT should offend YOU. edit after reading geidiids above response. yeah, i think its better if we adress the problem of FGM as well as other harmful practises to our people (muslims) first. Its funny isnt it, how little we contribute to one another, but when a kuffar does it for us we get offended instead of feeling ashamed for not doing anything in the first place.

i have too many crushes to count, however i often start looking for a flaw so my crush will end (cause it physically hurts, you know the feeling of yr heart pounding when hes near, the queezy stomach when he leaves... its too much) and when my crush is over i either deny, deny, deny or immediately forget about em. however, now i have a crush on this guy (i think hes the 2nd muslim of all the crushes ive had) and its hard trying to find a flaw in him. hes *sobs* perfect! *holds stomach* IT HURTS!!!

Somebody than asked "How does one achieve a thousand good deeds?" He (salallahu aleyhi wa salam) replied "He should say subhan allah (how perfect allah is) one hundred times, for a thousand good deeds will be written for him and a thousand bad deeds will be wiped out."
