ummm, people, are we forgetting its haram to marry two sisters?

oh please. america and the west are JUDEO-CHRISTIAN societies. krusty is their only jewish character... and he is a clown... an entertainer... the whole show plays up on stereotypes and i even think theyve made a couple of jokes of the type "jews controll hollywood" besides, they also have a hindu character. this is a crazy thing to complain about, check the names for the writers, a number of them are jewish, are they controlling things? no, theyre making us laugh. whos controlling things? maybe check out that guy who owns disney, and other network executives, not to mention studio executives, now THEY have power.

apparently there is a german urban legend about german restaurants serving human meat after the world war... the story goes htat there was this restaurant that had a special table that would drop unsuspecting clients in a dungeon like room where they would be murdered and than served as food.

i was watching a special yesterday that kind of refute your data on morocco. im saying though, its not equivalent to south africa, but its a growing concern there everyday...and that lil map is from 1987. wait, no its not.

egypt and morrocco are muslim countries too, and the cases are near epidemic status. really, personally i think tourism (for the 2 countries mentionned above) and lack of sanitized health care (hospitals wiht low supplies, and poor care ) are the reasons why its become so wide spread. war doesnt help either since it pretty much lowers not only the peoples economy but seeming order and sense of morality.i think people would liike to think that africas aids problems is because of there/our image as sexual animals, but in fact its africans conservative views on sex and sexuality that propells this disease since its so hard for people to admit theyve got the disease, let alone get tested. faith in god helps, abstinence too, but we also have to be compassionate to those afflicted, and not turn them away like lepers.

apparently the movie texas chainsaw massacre is based on this guy, which i find really disgusting cause they have action figures and a really large fan base of this ish because the story is under the guise of a horror movie which normally has not only murders (duh), but bad portrayal of women (who are the favorite victims in this genre). i dont like when people start blaming the victims of brutal crimes, i mean obviously in this case his victims arent ideal citizens but theyre dead because of him and werent allowed (if they hadnt already) to repent because of this mans blood lust. he didnt do it for any moral reasons, he did it because nobody would report a missing prostitute and he resented having to pay for sex as well as the fact that he enjoyed killing, if he werent scared of getting caught he wouldve killed more "pious" women.

i hated it, but it was better than reloaded, which, looking back with sobriety from all the hype, was pretty awful. the first one is a classic.

i really wasnt looking for a debate, i agreed with you, their music isnt halaal, what i am questioning is whether music (all music) is halal or not. obviously there is a correlation between music and debauchery (partys, drinking, smoking), but music can also lift youre spirits, make you morally self aware, and many other good things, but i think it has more to do with content lyrically as well as the artists demeanor. as for the female voice thing i think youre thnking of a hadith that tells women not to sweeten their voices when talking to men, because not being able to raise youre voice implies a number of things which i personally find negative which is why i doubt its accuracy. also, not to drag this on, if you could, id like to see the hadith that tells women not to wear perfume.
-
not to dissect things but that ayat says music that distracts from the path, and there are also some known hadiths talking about the goodness of music for the soul (poetry talking about allah, or stories set to music), im not saying these girls songs (bump, bump) fit, but i dont think that surah calls music haraam. and as for the voice being a sexual tool, okay, but why just the female voice? not all female singers have sexual inuendos in their lyrics. isaac hayes is known for his "sexy" voice, lots of male singers are described having "sexy, sultry music" how, and why is it suddenly the female voice, not just singing voice, but regular voice being heard zinnah. i cant hide that i dont like it, and frankly would like some proof before i call it the truth, and as far as talking to a man on the phone exciting him... thats really creepy, men like that fall into the pervert category. ooh, and women singers as the callers for judgement day... is that supposed to be a bad thing?

You guys keep saying, “don’t judge them, only God can judge them” Did Allah tell us not to say when people are doing evil? Does Islam tell us to keep our mouth shut and turn a blind eye? I don’t think so, in fact I remember a hadith that says, when u see something forbidden (bad) change it with your tongue, if u cant, change it with your hands, if your still cant, change it with your heart. (that’s in my words- corrections accepted) Islam tells us to enjoin the good and forbid the evil, and this stuff is past sick, A lot of you keep saying Somali girls dress worse than these girls, in clubs/rewaayads…….does that justify their actions? Just because others are doing it, does it make it ok? We shouldn’t be looking at what society is getting up-to, (most of society is heading for hell) we should be looking at whether this is acceptable in Islam, and it isn’t! U guys can say I’m a hater. Actually, wait, ill say it for u, I’m a true hater, from the bottom of my heart I hate the shiit these lil kids are getting themselves into. The Prophet (saw) said, ‘he who imitates a certain group/tribe, becomes one of them, and on the day of judgement will be raised amongst them’ My point being, if these girls are muslims, they should stop copying the kufaar and should start acting like muslims, (if they are not muslims, then ma bad!) * Visual prostitution , is a major sin, BOYS, stop staring at these lil girls, your eyes will hold you to account on the day of judgement. i agree, i just want some confirmation on the following things you wrote * A girls voice is zinnah/causes fitnah and should not be raised. * Music is haraam STOP PROMOTING THIS CRAP! Stop defending them! May Allah guide us all-----------Amiiiiin! how is a girls voice, or hearing/listening to a girls voice fitnah, and where does it say music is haraam?

Originally posted by Khayr: The soundtrack to the movie was really wicked what else can u expect from the Wu Leader-RZA. he only does the score, i dont know if hes responsible for the movies soundtrack although even if he did, i think some credit should be due to tarantino, all of his movies always has some quirky music to match, or contrast the scenes. The movie was Grimey but grimey and filled with pussing blood EVERYWHERE! No real moral to the story and the action series too damn-Hollywood! its not hollywood like bad boys II, or triple x... i will agree that it is a lot of flash, very american, but also very respectful to old kung-fu movies(the theme of revenge, the dialogue that the bride and verneen green had, the daughter having witnessed it, and the bride telling her "if you still feel a lil raw about it in a couple of years, come and find me. but between you and me, youre mom deserved it") samurai movies (o-ren ishi, and the bride fight scene in a snowy garden... very reminiscient of japanese movies.) How does a Samurai Master suddenly come out of his attonment period as well as his retirement for the past 28yrs just to help out some American Blonde take out her revenge. HONOUR!!! theres an honour theme troughout the film, when Bill pulls back from her murder because itd be too cowardly, and not honourable to her, when verneen and the bride stop fighting out of respect for her daughter, when O ren Ishi takes back the comment about her being an american trying to play pretend with a sword... the sword maker comes out of retirement because he owes it to her, he trained Bill to become what he is (remember the dialogue? if he trained Bill, and than quit making swords because he was afraid he has cause too much havoc on the world, dont you think its because Bill turned out to be a psycho, and he feels guilty for unleashing him, or at least training him? you gotta think back on all the martial arts movies you used ot watch as a kid) Even Killers in the past had Moral and rules, but this two bit, heroin addict looking American Blondeeee, breaks all the rules just for her own damn self. tarantino doesnt follow any rules, his protaganist are never "good guys" but you root for them anyways cause theyre the lesser of evils in the group. shes out for revenge, they left her for dead, killed her baby (or so she thinks), and her fiancee, and not only that but shed been raped throughout her coma... even morally wise, you root for her cause even if she is a trained assasin herself, these people shes killing deserve it. Its too Americanized!!! tarantino is an american, besides he had to make it HIS movie, it IS his movie, its tarantino at its best (in my humble opinion). hes always incorporating american pop culture in his movies, and even with all the eastern arts stuff, hes looking at it with an american POV, cause it was a part of his growing up in america... (cow boymovies in somalia, and in a somali context would mean the protagonists are the indians not cowboys, cause thats who somali kids would root for way back when, or so my dad says) Plus, they could have made this movie its appropriate 2 and half hrs to 3hrs but they cut it into half for the sake of Money. They said that audiences couldn't keep up with a 3hr long movie cause people have short attention spans. no tarantino said itd be too pretentious, and also there is even more blood and goriness in volume 2, so people would probably have enough of it. Tom Cruise is suppose to be starting in a movie calld the 'The Last Samurai warrior' coming this christmas season-I'll pass on that for sure! Finding NEMO was definitely the movie of the year/summer so far. havent seen it, but im guessing youre not a fan of R rated stuff. Hey Bishaaro, you got a real good memory to remember that song. Fi Amanallah i love this movie and am convinced its the best film ive seen all year. DAMN!!!

i always thought the number was 14, but in the documentary the interviewer said 72, and the woman didnt correct her so i figured it was the correct number. all i know for sure is that its a harem of virginal brides. ill do some real research i guess. i know i read it somewhere but it was a while ago, so when they mentioned it, it rung a bell, but i htink sister modesty got it down more specifically. ill get back to you though. and rudy, are you implying im going to hell? BOOOO! thumbs down man.

well it kind of is now, isnt it? i mean the swastika used to be and still is regarded as a peaceful sign belonging to budhists, but since hitler used it, its a symbol of hate and oppression. skin heads, kkk, and other white supremacist groups use it even though it pre-dates their hate. its called re-appropriation. for over 500 years muslims have been using it, changing its original purpose, and claiming ownership, and to the rest of the world, it kind of identifies them, just like the swastika... i dont know where im going with this. bye.

i was watching a documentary yesterday about muslims and jihad and what is the true meaning of it. (it was pretty pointless but i liked the interviews) anyways the filmaker asked this woman:"men get 72 virgin brides, wine and so on what do women get?" and she answered "i get to sit beside my husband and have the women serve me as well" and i thought that was sweet, but it was also an insufficient answer. for one thing galos are always pre- occupied about the 72 virgins part, they like to think of muslim men as sex crazed and abusive, i wish shed of told her off. also, according to me, and this is my personal opinion, and if i am wrong im sure i dont have to tell you to point it out, i think the description of the quran is only incentive to get there. i think heaven is even greater. im not saying that if you live by the quran, and are truly pinning for that harem that you wont get it, i dont see why allah would not bless you accordingly to the quran, im just saying its incentive because everything described inside the quran regarding jenna is earthly, earthbound. all of the hardships you endure here on earth, all the things you abstain from and fast for, are described to be in heaven and thats incentive for the jihad fighters who may die virgins or away from there wives, or the women who spend their entire lives working for others... you see where im going wiht this? now im not saying what is described wont be found in jenna, im just saying its even better, so much better that you wont have any wants, needs, too beautiful to even imagine. now, im not an expert, im not more equipped to tell you about heaven than the prophet (may peace be upon him), but i truly believe its even greater, partly cause im a woman and 72 vigins never really impressed me, and the other part cause well, like i said earlier everything described is earthly, partly because thats the only way we can understand things. heaven needs to described according to the perspective of human beings, but when we die we're supposed to shed our earthly body and all the hardships included with it, so well, youd have no needs, wants etc. i like that. thats my idea of heaven. when youre stripped of all the ugliness attached to human life and you just exist in a state of never ending blissfulness. to some, maybe that includes 72 brides at youre beck and call, and if you deserve it by all means enjoy it. its really not my decision to make. but heaven is much more than that. thank you for youre time, i hope i didnt offend you. 9 days til ramadaan, peace.

a question for khayr, in what way is islam against human rights, democracy (not the western ideology, but democracy in the sense that the people should be consulted with decision making and have the right to protest tyranny),and freedom? many of us are saying it goes hand in hand and i see that angers you, id like to know why?

Originally posted by Khayr: quote: There is no difference between Islam and human rights said by Somalien How can I say this less bluntly- WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! What does Islam have to do with Human Rights? By manking such a statement, then you are saying that homosexuals have right to exist in society, that fornication is Normal and that people who engage in them, should not be looked down upon or punished, or that Men and Women are Equal, Muslim and NonMuslim shold be treated the same b/c they are both Humans? etc.... Divine Rights in Islam Supercedes/are greater then Human Rights . The Shariah is their to curb such notions of LIBERALISM wherein EVERYTHING is PERMISSIBLE as long as it can be rationalised and argued and doesn't conflict with the ECONOMY!!! If human rights and Islam went hand in hand, then the Shariah would be liberal and wouldn't impose NonMuslims in a Muslim State to pay Jaziah (a tax for nonmuslims that live in an Islamic State such as present day Iran (or what is left of it) ). If human rights and Islam went hand in hand, then you would not need to go wear Hijab b/c Hijab makes you look oppressed (especially in 30+ Celsuis weather in places like Texas or Cali. etc.). If human rights and Islam went hand in hand, then we could say that since so and so is injured or sick, that they don't have to pray Salat, cause they are 'Disabled'. But you know in Shariah, as long as you are sane and awake, you have to perform salat even if its moving hands and reading the quran if you are paralyzed. ............... MMA, the diff. in that picture is that she had to comply with Shariah Law when she was in Iran, but in France she was following another rule 'Do as the FRENCH do'. The questions is what is she really for ISLAM or LIBERALISM (which is what the WEST aspires to aka Believing and doing whatever u like no matter what the consquences, provided they can tax you on it!) Really and truely, that is what all of us should ask ourselves each day, if you don't see anything wrong with this picture of the West Glorifying an Iranian Women for "HUMAN RIGHTS" when she comes from a muslim land, well then something is wrong with you, cause you don't see the difference in values. Let me put it this way, if you like to eat a Bagel and cheese or anjeero and suubag every morning and you don't think that it is not good for you and that is doesn't make u gain wait, then you would be fooling yourself and harming yourself-Right? I think that we can all agree on that, well in this othercase, it has nothing to do with your body but with your mind and soul. You really don't how much harm is being done to you when you are listening to those lectures with your prof., or watching "The Wedding Planner feat. J.LO". You have to feel Uncomfortable in this society, to actually become conscious of these things. THE MOMENT THAT A MUSLIM SAYS THAT THE NONMUSLIMS REALLY LIKE MUSLIMS, IS WHEN THEY ARE FOOLED AND DEFEATD. Remember after 9/11, well where u as a muslim still loved and adored by most of your neighbours??? ................ Bulo, Walaal, I think that you said it all. Jazakallah Khayr, cause when I see other muslims that can look through the eyes of the Shaytans and see what they are doing, it gives me hope and inspiration. ALLAHU-AKBIR!!! i disagree. i think alot of muslims are disilluisioned because of the rise of the west, and when you express an idea even slightly similar to how the west is running than youre somehow unislamic. the west had no concept of human rights until possibly the 1700 A.C where as islam has been respecting peoples lives for over 1400 years. the difference between us and the west today is our concept of morality, you commit a crime than youve forfitted youre rights. i never even remotely hinted that the hijab was oppressive, and the only people who say that are people who dont know what theyre talking about. what i do find oppressive, is beating a woman to wear it, or making up a rule that a woman cant show her face in public, or denying women the right to an education (the taliban), or killing children or daughters for being seen with a boy which (honor killings) still occurs in iran. imprisoning people for theyre views is not allowed in islam, protesting is not illegal in islam, not being muslim is not illegal either, crimes are. please dont assume that everything is invented by the west or even that other people believe that. i wish more muslims would express more concern when they hear stories of abuse of power by muslims, even if you dont believe it (i dont blame you if youre source is western media), at least dont immediately rule out the possiblity. i think its even worse when muslims harm each other than if it were a kaffir. its sad, no solidarity. also, liberal in an islamic context is not even close to liberalism in the west.

^^^ thats not fair darman, did you read the full article? are you aware of the situation in iran today? they love khomini, its the other mullahs who are abusing their power and doing everything they can to hold on to it. they go as far as inprisoning students for as much as 3 years for having different political views and car bombing other activists. things are also tough for women and children too, and its horrible that these men hide behind islam to keep their positions. remember ""There is no difference between Islam and human rights," shrin ebadi. she also said in another article that its important that outsiders dont meddle in the situation of iran, its up to the people to make change which i think most muslims will agree with.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/EDUCATION/10/08/muslim.barbie.ap/index.html LIVONIA, Michigan (AP) -- At first glance, this new girl on the block doesn't give Barbie much of a run for her money. After all, Barbie is everything Razanne is not -- curvaceous, flashy and loaded with sex appeal. But that's exactly why many Muslim Americans prefer Razanne, with her long-sleeved dresses, head scarf and, by her creator Ammar Saadeh's own admission, a not-so-buxom bustline. For Saadeh, the doll not only fills a marketing void but also offers Muslim girls someone they can relate to. "The main message we try to put forward through the doll is that what matters is what's inside you, not how you look," said Saadeh, who set up NoorArt Inc. with his wife and a few other investors. The Livonia-based company, founded about seven years ago, sells the Razanne doll and a number of other toys geared toward Muslim children. "It doesn't matter if you're tall or short, thin or fat, beautiful or not, the real beauty seen by God and fellow Muslims is what's in your soul," he said. Razanne has the body of a preteen. The doll comes in three types: fair-skinned blonde, olive-skinned with black hair, or black skin and black hair. Her aspirations are those of a modern Muslim woman. On the drawing board for future dolls are Dr. Razanne and possibly even Astronaut Razanne. There's also Muslim Girl Scout Razanne, complete with a cassette recording of the Muslim Scout's oath. What sets Razanne apart from her few competitors is that she "holds a global appeal for Muslim girls," Saadeh said. That image encouraged Mimo Debryn, of West Bloomfield Township, to buy the doll for her daughter, Jenna, four years ago. "Razanne looks like the majority of women around Jenna," said Debryn. "She loves that doll and always took care of her, giving Razanne a special place in her room, treating her with respect. "Jenna never tried to take Razanne's hijab (head scarf) off, though Barbie was usually stripped naked," she said as her daughter, 11, curled up on the couch and smiled. Global appeal In the United States, Mattel, which makes Barbie, markets a Moroccan Barbie and sells a collector's doll named Leyla. Leyla's elaborate costume and tale of being taken as a slave in the court of a Turkish sultan are intended to convey the tribulations of one Muslim girl in the 1720s. "It's no surprise that they'd try to portray a Middle Eastern Barbie either as a belly dancer or a concubine," said Saadeh, adding that countering such stereotypes was one of his main aims in developing Razanne. Mattel didn't respond to repeated calls seeking comment. Laila, the Arab League's answer to Barbie, offered girls of the league's 22-member states a culturally acceptable alternative to Barbie's flashy lifestyle. But she never made it to store shelves. Sara and Dara were launched a couple of years ago -- Iran's version of Barbie and her beau, Ken. The two were offshoots of a children's cartoon in Iran. But Saadeh said those dolls are more "cultural and don't have mass appeal in the Middle East." Saadeh hopes to capture that market. Razanne will soon be marketed in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and make greater inroads in southeast Asia. The doll is sold throughout the United States, Canada, Singapore and Germany. Saadeh would not reveal the doll's sales figures, but he said retail sales over the company's Web site account for a majority of the almost 30,000 dolls sold per year. Prices range from $9.99 for a single doll to $24.99 for a set like Teacher Razanne that includes a briefcase and other accessories. Saudi Arabia's religious police recently declared Barbie dolls a threat to morality, complaining that the revealing clothes are offensive to Islam. Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries likely would be attracted to Praying Razanne, who comes complete with a long hijab and modest prayer gown. Lest people think that she's all about praying, there's In-Out Razanne, whose wardrobe also includes a short, flowery dress she can wear inside the home, in view only of men in her family. "Razanne represents to Muslim girls that they have options, goals and dreams and the ability to realize them," said Debryn. Jenna, who recently donned the veil after much soul-searching, said Razanne makes her "feel more comfortable about being a Muslim girl."

so guys tell me, should it be enforced by law and punishment or family and school? is it fair to harass the muslim woman who doesnt wear it? i dont think so, but tell me what you think about it.
