  8. Hibo

    Why???

I wish i could live with my family again, with my mother waking me inthe morning and my father sitting down with me in the sitting room and discussing things with me man to man. Those days when i thought my parents were against my personal choices are gone forever. When you find yourself outside your family only then, is when you will realise what they meant and why your parents were so demanding. Wait alittle longer xafsa, very soon you will access to your inner world and be alone. You will reach that stage of life when whatever you do is based on your own decissions. I wish i was with my mom again and a peacefull Somalia [This message has been edited by JamaaL-11 (edited 01-21-2002).]
  9. Welcome sister IDIL, it is an honour welcoming you to this site, a pleasant one. I hope you enjoy your stay as i did. Thank you Idil, that poem was nice. Beauty? so do i, lol but i tend to wander off to another section of life. Experiance over-rules the beautiful words i stitched up to express beauty. I hope it is worth it. Girl, no other person writes more precise about beauty than you, well done. You gave me a hint of what your poems mean the last time we talked and i liked what i heard, so insh-allaah we will pump into eah other. bye bye [This message has been edited by JamaaL-11 (edited 01-21-2002).]
  10. Salaams lol unix I guess some people don't like poetry huh? Oh well... Jamaal, as usual aboowe, great poems lol as I told you last time, I'm still obessed with the concept of beauty, so here is one of my latest poems on beauty BEAUTY You may think beauty can be seen. It can be seen, and it can make you feel like it is taking you to a wonderful, distant place. But how wonderful does that place prove to be? And just how far away is it? By looks you can only find beauty that is pleasing to the eyes though. What good is physical beauty if there is nothing underneath to back it up? If this was all that beauty was then paying the high price for beauty would be vanity. It is much better to find inner beauty which pleases the heart, then trying to just please your eyes. A beautiful appearance is just a shell. Can it be easily cracked because it is just a frail outer layer? No, let its roots run deeper than that and support the beauty I can see. You can spend your time striving find one that is beautiful. You can use your effort and find beauty but if it proves to be only on the surface then you have used your time and effort all in vain. But no, there is more to beauty. It can be found by prying those shells open and peering inside. That beauty that you find can give you happiness even if happiness you have never known. It can help you to look at yourself and find how far your beauty goes. It can help you to find new leaves to turn over and finally let your true self come bursting forth. Much, much more can be found than that vain beauty but only in a special one. Beauty, what a lovly word. But who is one that can be called beautiful? A person who can take your mind and run with it to a distant, blissful place. One who can take your cloudy days and turn them into wonderful skies of blue
  11. Well guys, here is what my mom said, n I totally agree " Arinta aad i weydiisa ee ah nin iyo naag aan is qabin ee wada seexda ninkaax ma isu qaban-karaa waxay ila tahay haa waayo suuradda la yiraahdo Nuur ayaa ka hadashay oo tiri ninka zaaniga ah waa kan aad tiri wuxuu la seexday naad uusan qabin wuxuu guursan karaa oo keliya naag zaaniyad ah, waa naagta aad tiri waxay la seexatay nin aan qabin. Sidaas darteed labadaas qof waxaa u banaan inay iyaga is guursadaan waxaana ka reeban inay guursadaan dad wanaagsan oo aan zaniyiin ahayn. It means, iyaga ayaa leysku baneeyey. Haddii ay dambiga ka soo noqdaan oo ay Ilaahay cafi ka dalbadaan, Ilaahay waa qufuuru raxiim inuu u dembi dhaafo ayaa laga yabaa, wa Allahu Aclam."...there u have it.. afterall they can get married!! LF: U r wrong it seems sis!! No offense..sometimes we do misinterpret!!
  12. Qalanjo: SIs, there is my dearest friend... when I left Abu Dhabi, the only advice he gave me was, "Hibo, naagi waxaa u wanagsan, a man that loves her..not the one she loves"..WHen I asked him why??..He said, When a man loves u n he knows that u don't love him the same, he will strive, n treat u with respect, n kindness, to earn ur love in return. If u want happiness sis... go with the man that loves u...I did that!! N believe me, that was the best advice anyone ever gave me... truely n sincerely! Its all upto u sis...but that would be my advice...Good luck!

  19. Asalaamu Alaikum If Somalia was ruled like a proper Islami nation, then I am 100% certain that none of us would be where we are today...unfortunately Somalia was a country with a dictator, now we are suffering the consequences...
  20. Hibo

    In 16 words...

Salaams I guess that would be that "nothing is ever impossible"...all you gotta do is work hard and insha allah you'll get it Plus to always think about the consequences of whatever you wanna do before you do it... [This message has been edited by idil (edited 01-20-2002).]

  23. Salaams Qalanjo abaayo this is a decision no one else can make for you as after all it is you who will either spend the rest of your life with him or maybe not...I have one question, does he know you don't have any feelings for him? Unrequited love is one of the most painful things, I seen people go through it and I've seen a couple get married were one was in love and the other wasn't in love (my cousin) just before he got married to the girl I asked him, if you don't love her why are you going to marry her, he said to me...imagine, someone who would be prepared to do anything for you, that loves you, cares about you, is beautiful and intelligent...would you be prepared to let them go? I said that's a hard decision...he smiled at me and said, love will come given time, that he was sure he could bring himself to love her...in the end they ended up divorced. Divorce is something which is allowed in Islam, lakiin Allah (swt) does not like it... Marriage is a huge step, can you imagine spending the rest of your life with someone you do not love? Best advice sis, keep on praying and ask Allah (swt) to guide you to the right path... Asalaamu Alaikum and good luck abaayo ps lol Jamaal hey bro...i finally made it over here...you were right, this site is soooo nice...can you believe I haven't seen a page with people swearing at each other
  24. Salaams I think most people confuse the word lust and love together...I have this friend, in the past two years she has dated 3 guys and claimed to love all of them I don't think that's possible... A couple of weeks ago I was talking to my mother about love and she said it does exist, but it doesn't last forever, she told me she was dating this guy before she married my father and my grandmother didn’t want my mother to marry him because of qabiil reasons (she said the guy she really liked, but that the women of that qabiil are really not nice). Anyway, my mother was in love with the guy and he loved her too, when my mother told the guy that she couldn’t marry him because of her mother, the guy said that he would wait even 10yrs if he had to and my mother said that it was pointless, thus they never married. She told me that back then she was in love with the guy, but she could never turn her back on her mother…now she has no feelings for the guy other then friendship, he too ended up getting married and having kids. That really got me thinking...it's obvious that a lot of people don't marry for love, but for other reasons...but somewhere in this world there must have been people that got married for love and it must have lasted their whole lifetime… I believe that love does exist and if you are meant to find it, you will and if not, then it is Allah’s will. lol every time I ask someone to describe the feeling of love to me one of the things they always say to me is the butterflies you get in your stomach the thing is…I always get butterflies in my stomach lol
  25. Salaams i guess I just like my real name
